Attack? What attack was that? LOL
Sure thing Brent.
I invested in SPRL because it was brought to my attention by "velvet mallet", who I've known now for over 6 years. I have made it well known over the years to anyone who cares to read my posts that I don't do DD. I am a "chart guy". Over the years on the boards I have discovered a number of people who feel to me to be knowledgeable, competent and trustworthy. I have established a number of relationships this way.
I spent a considerable amount of time reading the posts of velvet and later on discussed his DD with him over the phone. Velvet made it very clear to me the whole time that I should consider this a long term investment with a 3 - 5 year timeframe. Of course things can happen with any business to prolong or shorten those timeframes so I don't depend on them to be perfect.
Here are the basic things that I was told that inspired me to take a long term position in SPRL:
Sam Hyams is an Orthodox Jew. I don't know much about these people but I am aware that they have rather stringent rules which they live by and being honest and living clean is a very big part of that.
That the company had a lot of experience and connections with the world of oil in Russia which would not only be useful but necessary to accomplish their goals of doing deals with the companies that they are looking to deal with.
The AS/OS/float were reasonable and that the insiders own some 50+ million restricted shares.
Considering I don't see how the world is going to continue to maintain the level of oil production we have in the past, and with India, China and other countries becoming more technologically "advanced", It seems to me that Strat is in an early position to take advantage of a market that may prove in the near future to be very important and profitable.
Aside from all of that, and probably some other things I didn't remember to post here, I tend to do things very simply and have a knack for not making them complicated. What is most important to me as to why I'm invested here is that Sam Hyams is investing a lot of time and money in making this company a success. The time that I spent listening to him in that cc lead me to believe that he is an honest person and is genuinely trying to create a good thing here...and it's worth my investment. When I invest in a company I'm investing in two things: The idea and the management. As long as I get the information I need to like the idea and trust the management then I'll invest in the company and give them the space and time they need to accomplish the goal. I think too many on the boards are shortsighted and don't spend enough time considering the time, effort and money it takes to accomplish what Sam in trying to do.
As a matter of fact, based upon my 6 years of reading message boards, there is no way in hell that I would ever consider taking any company that I ever own public because I would not want to put up with all of the whining and lack of reasoning and sense that I have seen on every message board that I have ever read.
Anyway, I still feel confident in SPRL because the company is obviously working to achieve their goals. The subject of dilution is not a concern to me based upon what has occurred thus far. 200 million shares in the world of billion shares OS stocks is nothing. I see no red flags with a little dilution as long as it is for business purposes. Lack of communication, i.e. stroking nervous shareholders, is not a problem for me either. I want results, not meaningless words. No, progress has not been as fast as I would have liked, but I have been given no reason to not trust Sam at this point. Audited financials would be wonderful. My understanding is that there have been problems with the auditors. Sam is an accountant so I am comfortable presuming he knows what to do in this situation. So, again, I trust him.
Ultimately, as I have said before, every person needs to do what they feel is appropriate to feel good about investing in any company. What I have to say here is likely to be meaningless to everyone else, which means that they should have no problem with the posting of an opinion whether they agree with it or not. If they have a problem or an argument then that means that they are unsatisfied with their investment, so they should not waste their time trying to argue with other shareholders because no satisfaction is going to come from that for them. They need to go to the source or make the adjustments that feel appropriate for them in order for them to feel good about their investment.
Aloha
Rich
Well, all I can say is the problem is yours. If you can't, won't or don't like what is being relayed to you on the boards then go get the answers yourself. Seems simple enough. Don't understand all the whining.
I doubt that very much, but why not call the TA if you're concerned about it and find out? If there is any change from my last update I'm sure the board members would appreciate you sharing it here. TIA

Thanks Brent... For the sake of clarity, I have only had phone contact with Sam Hyams once and that was during a conference call. Therefore, I obviously can't and don't claim to "know" Sam. What I am certain of, based upon my own personal intuition, (which can be interpreted as an opinion), is that Sam is an upstanding person and business man and one who I trust enough to put a significant portion of my investment funds into. Every individual must do what they feel is appropriate to attain the same confidence, in my opinion.
I recommend to anyone who has questions, concerns or comments about the company to go directly to the source and not fool around with any poster on the boards...unless of course you trust the individual you are choosing to listen to. I happen to be a 6 year acquaintance and friend of "Velvet mallet" and trust what he says implicitly.
Aloha.
Rich
Sounds good to me. em
David you are just too logical about all of this! How the heck do you expect people to focus on the negative possibilities when you keep pointing out the positive facts??? You're robbing all of the whiny types the opportunity to do what they love!
Not to worry though...I'm sure they'll continue to find a way.
Thank you and Aloha!
Rich
I bought equal amounts of each, just for the fun of it.
Aloha gents.
Brent, YGM.
Rich
Only after I refreshed the page did it show up. Man, I thought I was losing it big time! LOL
Thanks Brent.
Brent...I looked there. The last update I see is from Dec. 19 '06.
Hi Brent... Where did that CDCH & MDMN update come from? I've looked all over both websites and can't find it. I must be blind! LOL
TIA & Aloha
Rich
Changing the symbol won't do it, imho. em
Glad to see someone making some money! I'm all set up for it, just waiting as usual. LOL
If I remember correctly you went to Maui last year, which is where I'm guessing Kapalua is. I'm pretty terrible at golf and I no longer drink alcohol. My presence would probably prove quite frustrating for you! LOL
Have a great time!

Congratulations Benz! em
Good to be here Brent. I checked out Stockcharts. Without a subscription I can't do all that much, but when I can offer something useful I'll do so.
Good night.
Rich
You want charts? I got charts! Just have to go to Stockcharts and see how much they will allow me to do without a subscription...
Aloha
16,200,000 shares sounds like a lot, but I wouldn't be so quick to judge. We don't know what the dilution is for. We don't know if the shares are restricted. I doubt that many of those shares, if any, are making it to market. If they did I suspect we'd be under .01 by now. Just my hunch.
Bottom line for me is that I've had enough direct contact with Sam to know that I can trust him, and I trust him completely. Unless that changes I'm very comfortable waiting.
Aloha.
My pleasure Brent. I already updated the Ibox, but perhaps it didn't work? BTW, check your email.
Aloha
No worries here Prospect. Best of Luck to you!
Aloha.

Outstanding shares from Joann at Select Fidelity Transfer as of 1/18/07 are 197,521,351. Dilution of 16,200,000 since 11/24/06. This post is linked to the previous update by a board member.
Aloha.
I called the transfer agent to get an update on the OS. Left a message and expect a call back.
Probably just MM games as usual. There doesn't appear to be a lot of demand for the stock and I still believe we're being nss'd. Just my opinion.
1.2M just purchased @ .012 em
I thought some here might enjoy this ...

Thanks Aggie. Message boards are full of people who sell while they say they are buying or long & strong. Being honest about your actions is never in bad taste or something to be sorry for, but that's just my opinion.

MrSparks: I actually remember a conversation I had with an Etrade rep once about the same problem. They said the MM's in pinkyland can choose to fill an order or not, completely up to them and Etrade couldn't do anything about it. I'm not sure how true that is, but it was one of the final straws for me. I had similar problems with Ameritrade so if you look for another broker that might be one to stay away from as well.
I don't own any shares here but have been observing. FYI, technically there was a gap fill today at .07. It is an area to watch for support. IMO
Excellent DD here...much appreciated!
Aloha
If you want it at .13, I would keep the order there and not move it. They like to push it down at the EOD, so I'd bet you get filled.
My core position is with Etrade. Haven't tried buying anything with them in some time. I'm trading with IB and my experience has been they are much better.
MrSparks... Who is your broker??? I filled 30k at .013 today and 20k at .013 yesterday. If you have an order in now to buy at the .014 ask then I would call your broker and chew on someone's ear!!!

BMiles: Thank you. I'm sure Brent would appreciate that! LOL
Aloha
Rich
Thank you BMiles. I'll check it out.
Actually David, he has two downfalls. But I think we're doing him a favor in a couple of ways. First, our association with him may very well be the only thing keeping him from being perfect which seems to be important to him, if I understand correctly. Secondly, and ironically, we make him look really,(and in my case, REALLY, REALLY), Good! ;-P
That was a great post Brent. I respect you for your honesty, integrity and passion for seemingly everything you do.
Aloha
Rich
I'm with ya Profitchaser...not a subscriber. There's no problem from my end.
Rich
Kinda like what you did with my post. Feels good when someone responds to you with no respect, doesn't it?
Aloha
Seems to me that if one is confident in their own DD then a trader posting their trades would have zero effect. If people sell due to someone else posting their sells then I would think that a long term investor would be happy to have those people out of the stock.
I happen to be both invested in and trading this stock. I don't post my trades for two reasons: Nobody cares and it's not their business anyway.
Finally, I would think investors would be happy to see traders selling. If it does cause a decline in price then those who are looking for cheaper long term shares should be happy to take them off the hands of the traders.
Bottom line is this: There is more than one way to look at any situation and usually there is a way to view it as a positive for just about anyone. I welcome anyone to come trade and/or invest in this stock, as long as there are no illegal shenanigans. Unfortunately, there are illegal shenanigans and those who are doing it typically have a lot more financial power than all the people here interested in this stock, so why not see them as the bad guys and take on a live and let live view with everyone else?
IMO
Aloha.
CLYP: Knew he couldn't stay away. Now .0135 bid and atop the ask at .0175.
I bet if your patient you'll get it Mr Sparks. They probably try to push it lower in the last half hour, imo.
Brent: Regarding the board I posted here about yesterday... I received two very unfriendly responses by two individuals whose minds are quite set about CDCH, MDMN and SPRL. I don't care if people don't like the stock picks, but when their attitudes are as sucky as those two it's not a place I care to spend my time.
Aloha
