can't say i blame her...i haven't sold a single share (and don't plan on it anytime soon), but we can't fault folks for taking substantial profits where they can...they, unfortunately, are looking smarter than those of us holding AT PRESENT...however, i believe that those of us still in this in a year or two (and who knows, maybe gofor will get back in) will be laughing at the prospects of selling for a mere 18-20 cents/share.
it's a conspiracy theory and the vast majority of EDUCATED, seasoned traders will tell you it's little more than that - theory...no truth to it whatsoever and i'm inclined to believe that.
JMO
Yep, an unfortunate reality of these ultra low volume days...Share price can be easily manipulated (up or down) on tiny sales.
Part of the reason why I don't concern myself with half a penny here, half a penny there - one way or the other. All just part of the twists and turns in the road to our eventual destination (a MUCH higher SP).
Have a great weekend all!
What a terrific article. Every point that the interviewee touches on as a "what do I look for", SRSR hits it. We are doing things by the book and financing will not be an issue for us whatsoever IMO.
Very exciting times ahead, to be sure...
Sorry, Cricket...but this is incorrect. Winter does not "start early" in Canada. Lived in Ontario my whole life and the last several winters have been very mild and progressively late into the season for big snowfall for most of the province. Typically don't see much snow or freezing cold weather in November/December anymore...seasons are being pushed back a bit it seems.
Regardless, the cold weather doesn't affect drilling very much at all, as has been stated by Merle in the past.
Suffice it to say that weather doesn't concern me. We'll push through and should see ongoing, mostly uninterrupted updates year-round.
But as far as your price prediction - I can sure get on board that train!
IYO, what will our next news update be about:
Shining Tree
Further Drill Results from Nemegosenda
Metallurgical Testing
Financing (JV, off-take, AF's)
Other?
I'm interested to see what comes next in the story of SRSR...
Nice review there jack - a very important excerpt from our PR.
Any idea how long a study of this scope "typically" takes? Ballpark?
TIA
how long has it been since we've done 1M volume in the first half hour? seems like forever ago...
I would agree with this. For the time being this is one to keep an eye on from "day to day" or "week to week". There are certainly other plays out there that demand your watching it "minute to minute"...this just ain't it - right now. It will be though when things start to heat up. When will that be? Not sure. Could be weeks, could be months.
But things sure are gonna get interesting SOMETIME down the road and I don't want to be on the sidelines for that 'cause it could go in a hurry.
But for now, like turbo said, it's best to keep a level head and just tuck this puppy away in your portfolio. Rome wasn't built in a day...
yep, this is our new base IMO...somewhere in this 7-8ish range
churning here for a while allowing for steady accumulation (albeit on low volume) is certainly not a bad thing...
now we just wait for the company to keep doing what they do - prove up more resources, build on the NI, announce re/ shining tree or REE's in the nemegosenda...perhaps even an announcement re/ financing?
lots of exciting things to look forward to and i'm loving this higher base to launch from...next run should be EPIC!
Nice work brother. Methinks metals are the place to be this Fall!
now THAT's funny! nice one.
yep - in terms of our company i can only think that "bigger" is a bad thing if talking about share count...
otherwise all of the below are good in my books:
bigger drills
bigger core samples
bigger assay results (%s)
bigger depths/widths
bigger financing terms
bigger j/v partner
bigger off-take agreement
bigger trading exchange (TSX)
bigger volume
bigger shareprice
bigger dividends
what did i miss? ;)
well that would be the whole "IMO" part...smartass
trust me, don't trust me...do what you'd like...doesn't impact me either way - just trying to provide a positive OPINION (based on facts and knowledge of the company) to the board
i trust in the substantial DD i (and others) have done and believe that there are tremendous developments going on as we type - these should result in some very exciting announcements in the weeks and months to come IMO
volume (and SP) are trivial at this point...if you aren't planning on selling anytime soon, current liquidity is a moot point...
these days are all about continued progress - as each day passes, more turns of the drill, more negotiations with potential partners/financiers, etc
exciting things are going on behind the scenes these days, not on the charts...
we'll have our time - trust me!
IMO of course
wow...nice one tajitj...when you look at the simple math, 8 cents a share is just laughable...
My goodness has that SRSR board ever turned into an absolute joke. When did the DDers, longs and serious investors lose control of that place? Embarrassing lately...
Sorry, just venting.
SRSR is looking nice today on the heels of that nice little PR. Anyone have some input as to the readings for tantalum and uranium?
just fired off an email to merle asking him this very question
Huge NEWS!!!
They're bringing another "large" rig up to drill the SE Zone.
Things could get very interesting, very quickly IMO
HUGE DEVELOPMENT HERE!!!
excerpt:
The three holes just completed ended with continued high readings using a hand-held scintillometer. Based on this, preparations are underway to bring a larger drill rig to this zone in order to further test the depth extension.
I would agree with that. I just have a "feeling" (i.e. based on no facts or confirmed info from the company or it's IR) that something big is going to be announced this fall. I have no doubt that Scott has numerous balls in the air and is working multiple angles to gauge interest (and value) for what we have here.
Somebody earlier mentioned that the "perfect storm" may be brewing and I agree 100%! You do NOT want to be sitting on the sidelines when the surprise news hits...that will be the day when we buck the trend of "sell on news" - that's always been sell on the ANTICIPATED news. A surprise big NR will do wonders for the SP, IMO.
Our best days are definitely still ahead of us. Buy up these uber-cheapies as you can afford to!
I agree with this 100%.
Also, the REEs may be used as a "bargaining chip" of sorts for value added to the property once a fuller extent of the Niobium worth is proven up to NI standards. The REEs certainly will not be left out of the equation when negotiating an off-take, buy out or financial arrangement of that nature, if that is the direction Scott et al decide to go...
All the best. Continued long and strong here waiting on more exciting news from the co!
something tells me Scott is well aware of the potential of the REEs...that would be a multi-billion dollar oversight on his part if he was not!
likely an etrade glitch (not uncommon)...there is no after hour trading on pink sheet stocks, so it's not like "somebody knows something" and is paying about 8 times our current SP...IMO
Hey all - Thanks for the invite to the board! Looks like some of my favorite SRSR family members are here...
Might just have to hang out here for awhile until the SRSR board gets cleaned up a bit. Not the same "atmosphere" over there the last few weeks, you know? Too many short-sighted folks that don't understand and appreciate just how far the company has come in under two years with Scott at the helm. Tremendous progress has been made IMO.
Looking forward to hearing some of your thoughts here on other junior miners, exploration companies, etc.
Have a great night all.
not exactly an apples to apples comparison there, bud.
please take some time to read the ibox (ton of great info there) so that you are better educated about the plans and prospects of Sarissa and the Nemegosenda property
thanks
I would trim that list down to two - you may kindly eliminate the "sell" option if ya don't mind...
But you can repeat the "buy and hold" options as many times as you see fit!
Hey...welcome back...we missed you!
If you're here, we know what that means...
GREEN days in our near future.
Hey, do me a favor and answer this one question:
What price are you looking to enter at?
Might as well get it out of the way now instead of beating around the bush, you know?
ok, tiger. good for you.
was just suggesting you educate yourself on the FACTS before making bold statements about others...otherwise it's quite the self-indictment - but hey, have it your way champ.
well said.
some people... ;)
this is not high volume. i would be careful saying that others don't know what they're talking about after a statement like that.
just a word to the wise.
Dollarland is a magical place OntaREEo - kind of like Narnia but without the goat people and talking beavers. ;)
Endless hills of gold and niobium. You can bathe in pools of liquified rare earth elements and towel off with dollar bills. Quite a special place indeed!
I think you mis-read my post TR...I said that Scott is NOT out of the country, but rather was just unreachable.
Sorry, not in Asia.
I wouldn't go that far. I hope my post didn't come across as an indictment of Merle or me thinking that he's not doing his job - quite the contrary...I believe that Merle has been charged with the responsibility of clarifying information that is already public to potential and current investors. But rather the nature of many of my questions "may" be construed as forward-looking and therefore Merle may feel it necessary to refrain from answering those questions.
Merle does a fine job and serves his purpose well. I'd likely be a little more concerned if he answered all of my questions with in-depth, comprehensive responses that gave away all the company's secrets before they were public knowledge...we'll leave that to the IR guys for the pinky p&d's!
You won't get anything from Merle beyond, "I don't do timelines." or possibly, "When there is news to report, we'll put it out in a NR."
Trust me - you aren't going to be the first one to know!
It could be any day now or it could be several weeks/months from now - no one knows (except maybe Keevil & co).
An email of mine to Merle earlier this week re/ whether or not there is any activity going on at the Shining Tree property resulted in the simple answer of: "Not sure."
I responded to Merle saying that I didn't feel that was a sufficient answer - that a simple yes or no would suffice re/ if there is ANY sort of priority for this property or if ALL resources are allocated to Nemegosenda. He responded by saying that he actually was not sure - that Scott was not out of the country, but was "unreachable" for clarification at that time. I don't have any more info than that.
Merle is extremely tight-lipped when it comes to giving out any sort of info - often to the point of coming across as "abrasive" for lack of a better word. I carefully phrase my questions so as not to seem like I'm trying to get any insider info (those efforts wouldn't bear any fruit anyways), but even the most straightforward and non-rule breaking questions often get a simple one word answer that provides no indication one way or another. As our IR I have to believe that he has been directed by management to be VERY careful with what information he discloses. So we have to appreciate that we are not going to get much, if anything at all, from Merle. If this is how he was directed to do his job, he's doing it remarkably well and he is remarkably consistent!
Just thought I would give everyone a head's up on what you're likely to get if trying to find some answers from our IR - a whole lotta nothin'! Merle stands by his statement (paraphrased) of "when there is news worthy developments with the company, you'll find out via a NR at the same time as everyone else." Gotta respect it, I suppose.
Have a good one all.
jfburk - Scott may have bigger things on his mind. I have a sneaking suspicion that he's not too hard up for cash, so selling the property to make a few million and "live a wonderful life" may not be his goal.
To some, leaving a legacy in a community in which they have devoted their life's work is far more "wonderful" than simply having a fat wallet and laying on a beach somewhere.
I'm just sayin'...
Funding via private placements in all likelihood.
thanks E. we'll have to see if the bid gets raised up in the next 20 mins and start with a bit of a runner based on Red's TA and charting last night...if that chart holds true, it's a technical trader's dream scenario! could be an EASY double here...
how's the pre-market b/a looking?
