Umbra,
now that you have been "released", could you share any of the information that you were formerly unable to disclose regarding why you believe this is a solid investment?
-ach
why?
The fries will be here at least until the first billion is served
-ach
In a few years we can put a sign in the GoG...
JDZ
Over a Billion Barrels Served
They may have to revise it later on to read
Billions and Billions Served.

maybe you're David R Allison, Mongo?
-ach
maybe you're david neal, Mongo?

Doug C,
Yes, I now realize that. I tend to not pay as much attention to the other partners in our blocks. I will get my act together. Good thing we didn't have a pop quiz today.
- ach
From March, but I had not seen this release from EEL. They estimate 1 - 2 billion barrels in Block 2.

TS,
It looks like Korean National is the operator working with EEL in OPL 321 and 323.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on this, but it looks like EEL and ONGC Videsh have their own partnership in Block 2 dealing with their purchase of A & Hatman's interest. In addition, Sinopec gets a mention because they are the operator.
http://www.rigzone.com/news/article.asp?a_id=31689
So that would explain why everyone that got a mention did and why ERHE was not mentioned in the article.

1. Would you disagree that the reason for the high number of posts this weekend was because of the blog article? #2. I didn't say that the blog has a listing of facts on the search warrant (everyone can decide that for themselves). #3. I can't deal with RB, although I do browse from time-to-time. I refuse to sign up, and with the inability to filter it becomes too cumbersome.
Whew, I feel better now.
-ach
Read Joe's blog. It provides some details of the search warrant issue. That was by far the main event.
-ach
Based on the blog, I am not so sure the sirens are going to pass anytime soon. This seems to be quite a fishing expedition the DOJ is on.
-ach
Maestro,
True knowledge lies in our understanding and acceptance of our own ignorance. Knowing that you don't know is a very powerful thing in this world.
The most difficult type of person to deal with in this world is someone that doesn't understand the depth of their own knowledge and fails to recognize their own ignorance.
Continued statements like your last puts you in this category.
To summarize, you need to relax and treat this like a message board, not like a detention hall. You are not the principal of IHUB HS.
-ach
fair enough. EOM
-ach
Top Drive,
Just out of curiousity, you don't seem to have a problem with Oilphant posting but were one of the biggest "M" haters. Is there a difference between the two, or just a difference in style?
Once again, no harm meant, just wondering what the thought process is.
-ach
Yes, who really knows. The market right now indicates that no one knows. Although, this stuff does pass the time.
-ach
Umbra,
In a couple of weeks will you be able to explain if some of your hunches are more than just a hunch, or is mum the word through July?
-ach
What happened to "Sinopec buying shares" from over a month ago? Clarification of these past predictions would help make some of this new info a little clearer and get a lot of regulars off your back. Right now there seems to be a lot of conflicting information.

ERHE partnership with Vanco to explore additional acreage in the Gog?
-ach
Oil,
Please explain the press release indicating the P&A of Obo-1.
-ach
Ahh that brings back such wonderful memories of March.
-ach
Based on the employment contract the six month period for WB's incentive bonuses will not come up until July 21, 2006. So why would WB care about anything going on with the price now if he knows that in 6 weeks he can turn it around? I wouldn't worry if I was confident that I had good news on the horizon.
-ach
Umbra,
Have you ever heard of a situation where the "chocolate" actually ends up gobbling up a person? Or perhaps the "chocolate" simply takes a "bite" out of that person? In your experience, could this happen to a "person"? Chocolate can be enjoyed in more ways than one. Of course this is all "hypothetical".
-ach
only closed on the 4th
Umbra,
No football? how did you make it through school as a child? LOL. I hope you were one of the bigger kids in class.
-ach
My apologies
That is fine, but 30 made that reference yesterday as well. I don't believe Umbra had said anything about having to wait until July until a few minutes ago.
-ach
30,
I notice you have mentioned July 3rd on a couple of ocassions. Would you care to elaborate on the significance of this date?
-ach
Umbra,
Do you have to wait X number of days before you can buy or does your resignation not go into effect until July? I don't know what the relevance of this is. Just curious.
Welcome aboard.
P.S. You never answered my World Cup question. Who do you think, not hope, will win?
-ach
Merdian has indicated from jail that we all need to hang in there. However, he does note that it is going to get worse.
-ach
How about good ole football? Who do you like in the World Cup? LOL
-ach
I understand that. I was just wondering if they could drill two wells and call them both Obo-1 without lying in their PR. That's all.
-ach
Just speculation, but could the results that Chevron just announdced not be on the first well they drilled? That would explain why it took so long to get them to PR the results. If the first well was truly a major find, that would be consistent with all the intial rumors. The big delay was in waiting for the completion of the second well. The results they PR'd are for the second well to truly deliniate the extent of the field.
My only question for the O&G folks regarding this, could Chevron call two different wells Obo-1 without technically lying to their shareholders?
-ach
Seems like that would be a good opportuinty to let everyone know how SNP picked up rights in the JDZ. I wonder if you could slip in exactly who brought them into the mix?
-ach
I can here the accountant now:
Walter, how do you explain this $20,000 bill at the "Exotic Jungle Club" in Abuja?
And why did you make ten trips to the ATM?
-ach
I though Franklin was a turtle?
Those that have children will get that
LOL
-ach
Dane,
my real time ticker doesn't show one, but I checked the delayed etrade quote and it's there.
Thanks,
-ach
Because we have a new symbol there is no 52 week high or low showing on E*Trade. When we lose the "E" and go back to our regular symbol will our 52 week high/lows return - or will everything essentially reset to start new?
-ach
I'm on Mars, where are you? Earth?
My apologies for the misinterpretation.
