Very good point. John Burge said what Katrina didn't get, Katrina did.

The Pug does not look pleased.

I confess that this is my stress relief board.
MidSouth/Rome Gas and Oil are not listed, neither are P. Alonzo or J. Barksdale. There are over 8000 leases issued.
I next searched for leases of 880 acres (what the PR says they have leased in Wyoming)
http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/051103/0100127.html
These are as follows:
Converse County #304-308
Crook County #75
Fremont County#160-162
Johnson County #171
Lincoln County #90
Natra County #181-192
Sweetwater County #409
Weston County # 94-97
No matches.
I think the site is outdated so I sent an email asking when the site was last updated (I'm thinking May 04) and also asked when will the next update be.
Will post what if any response I receive.

Final Confessions can be tough...
A man is on his deathbed, and his wife is sitting by his side.
The man says to the wife: "Hon, I have to tell you something."
The wife replies: "Yes, you can tell me anything."
Man: "I slept with your sister"
Wife: "I know"
Man: "And your mom"
Wife: "I know"
Man: "I also slept with your secretary, Mary"
The wife puts a finger to his mouth and says "I know, my darling, now just relax and let the poison do it's work".
Well as for us, that really is not good news.
In fact, it stinks.
The professionalism got taken out in one fell swoope from
people we met in our visit to PBLS.
If I was a potential investor in this stock, after reading today's discourse, I wouldn't even venture.
Disappointed.
td
What???
td
I will try to stay in line...
td
Well, here I am again so I must be doing something wrong...lol.
A drunken man staggered into a Catholic church, sat down in the Confessional and said nothing.
The priest is waiting and waiting and waiting.
The priest coughs to attract the drunk man's attention, but still the man says nothing. The priest then knocks on the wall three times in a final attempt to get the man to speak.
Finally the drunk replies, ''No use knockin,' pal. There's no paper."
Thanks for the vote of confidence though I
decline the nomination. Not my cup of tea so to speak..:)
Speaking of brokers, I'll be giving a copy of the video to
mine shortly.

And offer your mother in law a double martini...
The board I mean..lol.
DRIVE-THRU CONFESSIONAL
The local parish had a fairly new priest. He had wonderful, innovative ideas that were, for the most part accepted by the congregation. His mentor, a "higher ranking" priest, came for a visit to see how he was doing.
After looking the parish over, the senior priest said, "Father John, your idea of a drive through confessional is wonderful. That makes it so convenient for your church members.
And, Father John, it was a really good idea to have the confessional open 24 hours a day, for those who work "shift" work. However, Father John....that flashing neon sign that says 'TOOT and TELL or GO to HELL'.... has got to go!!"
Great idea!!

Paul Alonzo told us at the meeting that if we stuck with him until the end of the year, we should be very happy with our investment.
We have no problem with this timeline.
td
Steve and Peorge great video!
Loved the music!!!
td
I remember well.
It's not so much where you have been, it's where you
are going that matters.
PBLS is doing it right IMO and at their own pace.
td
Glad to see this.
td
LOL!!!!
Good one MasterCraft.
td
Nope.
I too logged on and saw the 2.45 pps on my account.
My balance looked great for a milisecond..lol.
Too bad it was a mistake.
td
That is our opinion.
If it was our company and we were buying back shares
we'd want to buy them as low as we could.
td
Thanks MC.
It was nice meeting all of you.
Our best.

Commentary by tdieh03
Our impressions of the PBLS meeting.
We liked the balanced growth strategy that maintains the construction side of the organization and expands the gas business for volume and oil for profitability.
We were impressed with Paul and his business model.
Paul was open with his spoken and body language that said, this is me, either believe me or not.
The questions he could not answer due to the sensitive nature of finishing the audits and submission to the SEC required to complete the upcoming move off the pinks to us, was totally understandable.
Before the ink is put down on paper, anything could change as he said. In our experience, often this does happen. He is being cautious..
The fact that Paul looks for professionals/experts in their respective field(s) to join his business (for example John Burge who joined PBLS through the ProGas acquisition)
is a wise strategy.
Johnny Zornes (Murphy Sand and Gravel)was as honest and open as Paul and quite informative regarding the operations and demand for their products. Seeing that only 20 acres of land has been cleared out of 820 acres tells us they are a cash cow whether they continue operations or sell the lease which we understand is for 18 yrs...(option)
If this was an act, Johnny should get an Academy Award for his role.
His admiration for Paul is apparent. Everyone at PBLS has a lot invested in seeing PBLS share price appreciate. Though as PBLS is currently buying back 100 million shares on and off the open market, keeping a lid on the PRs' is a also a wise move in our opinion. Why excelerate the price per share until they've finished?
We invest in management. A company is only as good as it's management.
We would have like to have had Ron at the meeting though appreciated the time Paul spent with us which was well over what we expected and the reception was very warm by him and all his staff. (We were expecting a tense atmosphere to be honest.)
We view this investment as a diamond in the rough.
If there is a downside to our investment here, it will be in the form of dusters that maybe struck on the oil wells being drilled in the north.
Question.
The overburden that is sold to the Army Corps of Engineers
what is it specifically used for? Is it a clay compound?
TIA
td
MC,
Thanks for all your effort.

I agree 100%.
It is a thankless job and I'm very glad
Cowboy has taken it on and gives us the
benefit of his knowledge in the field.
td
Let it drift down.
That is a good thing right now for those who are
accumulating shares.
Chasing a rise or worse a spike is detrimental and requires
at least low dose aspirin..lol.
td
How did you know that?? lol
td
MC,
Better be careful. They may like that idea.
Just hope they don't bring along cement shoes...Lol.

I ask that our shareholders and interested investors to please feel free to visit us at our new office any time after December 15th, 2005. This office is planned to serve as part of the Phoenix corporate office structure for many years to come."
http://biz.yahoo.com/iw/051026/099231.html
I wonder how many visitors they've had.
I do not understand the those posting on RB and here speculating that PBLS is selling shares while at the same time, repurchasing 100 million on and off the open market. What could possibly be the benefit???
Looks to me like the revenue they are making in the various business units in LA would be used for the cash part of their acquisitions. The trucking Co alone I believe has very low overhead given that PBLS does not own the trucks and therefore is not responsible for maintenance and insurance. Whatever the oil wells are producing has to be a plus if indeed the production outweighs the cost to drill...how much? Hopefully, we'll soon know.
td
Agreed.
Being vague will not interest future long term investors, we will only get the flippers.
td
I believe Paul is aluding to contracts forthcoming.

Phoenix, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Murphy Sand and Gravel, has had its sand, gravel and overburden (clay and topsoil) re-evaluated by Soil Testing Engineers, as to the amount of each located at the Pearl River site. Murphy products were also tested by Delta Testing and Inspection for various regional contractors that are working with the Corps of Engineers.
Additionally, we are on a fast track with the Corps of Engineers for approval for our materials to be used in the rebuilding process for the levees around New Orleans.
United Soils has located their equipment at Murphy's Sand and Gravel under a working agreement with Phoenix. Sales at the Murphy site are growing dramatically as we publish this release. Other contractors similar to United Soils are also in discussions with our company to locate on up to five additional sites on the Murphy Sand and Gravel property. As other agreements are entered, Phoenix will advise our valued shareholders.
Treepeople,
I appreciate all the time and effort you put into being this boards' moderator. This is truly a quality board.
Thank you and good luck to you.

Sorry about that.
I did find Dirtbags, Inc. after I initially tried to delete my first post stating I couldn't find it....stealth mode..lol.
Then I got an error message that explorer encountered a problem and was shutting me down. Guess it got mad at me.
td
I totally agree. I'm very happy with my investment in PBLS.
If it goes lower, so what? I will buy additional shares cheaper. I'm like that. Always looking for a bargain. Yes, I know rah rah...apply it to the Superbowl cheerleaders.
May the best team win. My neighbor has black and orange balloons tied to the mailbox. Maybe I'll go visit and have a beer.
