you dont seem to understand my point with the differntiation between bacterial and viral infections. when a mistake happens there the patient gets the wrong treatment which can have worse consequences than having a false positive trying to detect if someone has lunger cancer. hence bthcf device will have even harder times getting fda approval.

still nothing has come out of a 3 year joint venture trying to bring a product to market with Alpha Szenszor going for lung cancer. in fact they were not even able to get enough funding (probably because some lousy 2 million dollars is by far not enough):



furthermore detecting lung cancer would have been way more profitable if successful imo. bthcf instead is going for whole different diseases. owlstone is also looking for lung cancer.

nanose does not look appealing right now.

faims from yost is even worse. the tech from florida is in its infancy. they do not even have it shrinked enough to fit in a handheld let alone a finished trial.

they have started developping a strategic plan that means they are not even finished having a plan. furthermore having a plan is of course not a guarantee for success.

sorry but this thing wont get bought out before they received fda approval. the tech has already been proven in trials done by the nanose developpers btw. buyouts happen when there is a product ready for market. you mix up two completely different things. blozf doesnt need fda approval hence a buyout after a trial is possible. thats not true for bthcf cause you cant sell a product without fda approval.

what is your estimation of how much money will be needed to bring this device to market all together? looking at other biotech startups i think the amount theyll have after the pp is just a tiny fraction of what is needed in the end. furthermore fda problems seem to be on the way. see my previous post. not looking too good imo.

well the competition question is of interest to me aswell. i think there is owlstone e.g. who seems to be going for lung cancer. tough competitior imo. they have already launched a big trial. but i think they only go for lung cancer right now so bthcf could do other diseases!
