7th down the line now....pre-opening and opening Level II's change quite fast. Even if they didn't, if a run started, there would be many different combo's of B/A before it hit .04
JMHO
Now:
NITE 5,000 .006 x .007 130,000 ETMM
ETMM 200 .007 x .0071 9,050 USTI
That's 20,000 at the bid and 905,00 at the ask
What/who is team tranquil? Who supplied the information?
TIA
We don't get anywhere near 25cents, but if it does, it won't be sustainable w/out transparency. JMHO
I'm done for now...I need to get outside w/ my dog...who probably is PO'ed at me b/c he needs to...
It is not an old listing. However, it is not related to Pristine Pharma Corp. per the person I spoke with at International Business Brokerage & Realty, Inc.
Just got off the phone with the listing agency. As I thought, "Pristine" was being used as an adjective. She informed me that they could have used the word "Clean".
It is there. Page 2... I'll call them in a minute, but our Pristine Pharma was start-up, the company in the ad supposedly started in 1997.
Go the site and click on the "Featured Business Listings" and then go the second page of the listings:

I was thinking that maybe "Pristine" meant that the facility was clean. The copy notes:
Pristine Pharmaceutical Repackaging Business
Pristine Pharmaceutical Repackaging Business
Pharmaceutical repackager and nutraceutical manufacturer and dsitributor. The cleanest plant I have ever seen with all the DEA, FDA permits and first rate quality system in place. State of the art packaging equipment and new leasehold improvements. You could eat off the floors of this facility. Sales are growing from $4 million in 2007. EBITDA in 2007 was a healthy $640,000. This is a great turnkey expansion opportunity or opportunity for a Company with a sales pipeline.
So I called the phone number for the listed broker. The number was no longer in use. If I was the broker for a potential $5Million deal, I sure as heck would have a phone number that worked. Thus, my speculation is the following:
1) Old ad, and probably 'Pristine' just referred to the cleanliness of the facility.
2) A not very elaborate scam. Doubt that is the case, any scammer w/ half a brain would have a working number. The scam would be to drive down the price of MLXO.
However, I know I sound like a broken record, but the reason we have to speculate is that the company has not been forthcoming with information.
I was able to access the Pristine Pharm site earlier today, but now all I get is a timeout message. Are others having similar problems? However, I can access the Numed site:
Pristine/Numed
5,000 at .0071 at 3:39 Someone wants to keep the price up.
If you do a search on the site using the Ad number (358776), the listing comes up. I would think they would delete non-active listings. Let the speculation begin....unfortunately....
My mistake. Yes, there are numerous possibilities. Unfortunately, the lack of information from the company breeds speculation, not all of which will be good. Time will tell...
It will be interesting to find out if other investors share your sentiments once word gets out regarding your recent posting. The conditions for a shake, a vigorous shake, are coming together.
The Michelex website still has job postings for the Massena location. Maybe they are having problems finding people who are willing to relocate to the Massena area. However, everything is just speculation. In addition, MLXO seems to have gone 'quiet', and by doing so they only further speculation. Everyone hopes they are not a typical stinky-pinky, and they may not be, but unfortunately they are acting like one.
Well, I guess we can give MLXO an "F" for its first quarter grade for IR.
Specifically, what type of activity is supposed to be occurring at this time at the Massena location?
Even if they wanted to, individuals or companies (like MM's) would probably still find a way to gain an advantage. At a minimum, they would try. On the food chain of investing, we are at the bottom! Sad, but true.
I believe that MM's can still use obfuscation. Here's an example from Investopedia:
MM tricks
Nasdaq market makers, routinely take positions in stocks, both long and short, and then turn them around for a profit, or a loss, later in the day. They provide liquidity, but they are also more focused on capitalizing on your lot of stock by buying it for their own trading account and then flipping it to another buyer. In any case, market makers will sometimes post phony sizes in order to lure you into buying or selling a stock.
For example, market makers may post a bid and an offer that looks something like this:
$10-$10.25 (75x10)
This means that they will buy 7,500 (multiply 75x100) shares of your stock at $10 per share and they will sell 1,000 shares of stock at $10.25. They are obligated under Nasdaq rules to honor those sizes. However, there is a chance that the market maker already owns a position in the stock, and by posting a bid for 7,500 shares, he is merely looking to fool brokers and investors into thinking that there is big demand for the stock and that it is moving higher. (To read more on this subject, see Electronic Trading Tutorial and Markets Demystified.)
Note on this subject: While actions such as this may be frowned upon by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) - they are still fairly common in practice. Also, if someone tries to sell 7,500 shares to the market maker, he must buy them because his bid is posted.
So what happens? Most brokers will simply pay $10.25 for the stock just to get the trade done, but in reality, the purpose of posting a big bid was to sell the market maker's 1,000 shares at $10.25 to the unsuspecting broker. The trick worked! Incidentally, the same trick can be used in reverse on the sell side of the equation. The market maker may show a big offer of say 10,000 shares. Brokers see this, think that the market maker is looking to unload a big block of stock, and quickly sell their shares at the bid price (which, using the above example, is $10). In this case, the trick works again because the market maker fools the broker into selling his shares at $10, precisely where he (the market maker) wanted to buy them.
Correct.
Round lots are 100 shares. Obviously, different providers of Level II services present the bid and ask differently. My ADFVN Level II shows the amount of round lots, thus to get the total share amount I need to multiply by 100. My TDA Level II takes the number of round lots and multiplies by 100. I'm assuming that they are multiplying by round lots as all of values end in mutltiples of 100.
Remember, the bid and ask are not static. Once a stock starts to move, in either direction, the bid and ask will get adjusted. Typically, stocks are sold in 'round lots', which are 100 shares.
Round Lot
And they can short, we can't. At least all of the brokerage houses that I have used to do not allow margin trading w/ pinkies (actually, I think it is based upon a pps floor).
Now, if only we could all play by the same rules regarding short selling.
I doubt this is a 'quiet period' per SEC regs, as most pinkies don't follow SEC regs (probably b/c the SEC rarely gets involved w/ pinkies). However, some pinkies do go 'quiet' when they are working on mergers or joint ventures. To my knowledge, MLXO has not utilized a self-induced quiet period in the past. However, a quiet period does not meant that a company can not communicate w/ investors. In addition, rules regarding a quiet period were relaxed back in 2005.
What values do you usually receive from Quotetracker? As noted, all I ever see is the standard '50' or '5,000' for bids or asks.
Was that at .0001 or .0002?
NITE .0001 x .0002 NITE and ETMM
I got 2.5Million last week at .0001, but then someone started making purchases at the ask of .0002, and I haven't gotten any at .0001 since then. Don't know what the hurry was that they couldn't have waited for someone to sell at .0001....
Which service is showing that? All I ever see is 50 or 5,000 listed for bid or ask?
It will move again. PBLS will be an attractive shell once the BK is completed. JMHO...
Thanks..
Which site/service did you use for the volume report? Do you have a link?
TIA
Lot's of options: OTCBB, AMEX/NYSE; Toronto; London; something in Asia/India might make sense.
They could just stay on the pinks for awhile, and they may have to, and work their way up the pink listing ladder in preparation for a move.
Easy enough to look up requirements for other exchanges. As a side note, the US used to be a leader in IPO's, but I believe that is no longer the case, mainly due to Sarb-Ox and other regulatory requirements. As a result, US has lost out on tons of business and tax-revenue. That is usually the result when Congress over-reacts to a problem. The media builds up a furor and then Congress 'fixes' a problem by using a bat instead of a scalpel. End result: unintended consequences make things worse off, business leaves US.
