Older sport video had a part number on the snake arm that led me to TE connectivity formerly Tyco. Interesting.
Anyone here familiar with a company called TE connectivity? Or Creganna medical?
How does anyone teach the patient during a alf-x case. The OR is an obstacle course with that beast.
Late night on espn 3 it's man versus machine watch medical teams compete to save a coding patient as the navigate the OR obstacle course it's a race against time as they rush to save the patient. Watch hospital personnel battle alf-x as they undock bob and weave through a maze of robotic booms, consoles and carts.
If there is a problem with the robot why would they spend so much on multiple EV units? Don't make so many if there is an issue cause they ain't cheap at this point
What about everyone else??Unprecedented numbers given to everyone at a historically low point in investor sentiment.
With regards to new technology and product launches in medicine there typically early adopters are lined up and waiting to if not chomping at the bit to buy. After 6 years of CE mark and 1 sale where are the early adopters? Where is the low hanging fruit? Where are the key opinion leaders with regard to Senhance? No sales out of the gates is a seriously bad omen for the future of this platform. Spin it how you will but only 1 buyer at this point indicates the product isn't needed let alone wanted.
What does this platform allow a surgeon to do that they can't do with a Davinci?? Nothing. Per case economics that's a nice spin but remember The OR is completely overtaken by that beast and can not be used for other revenue generating non robotic procedures. Also ISRG can and if needed meet the per case economics. They also have the ability to undercut on the capital purchase easily.
With no real medical benefit and smoke and mirrors for an economic benefit, you are left with a 2 million dollar paper weight/ dust magnet. This is why there is only 1 sale after 6 years. This platform being 6 years old likely already is outdated which is why you are having trouble demonstrating any tangible medical advantage and keep going back to the smoke and mirror economic benefit. Fact is it will cost the hospital much more through lost productivity/efficiency to own a Senhance than a Davinci.
The biggest issue here is there is no Medical benefit which means Senhance isn't needed or wanted! 1 sale in six years clearly demonstrates this. There is no economic benefit unless you are blind to the shortcomings regarding footprint, portability, room turnover.
I'm sorry but you have failed to mention one meaningful advantage. This pig won't fly let alone fit. Reduction in cost per case means little if the platform prevents the use of the OR for other procedures. It will cost hospitals more to bring in Senhance. Obviously there are no procedural advantages. At best it will maybe be able to perform similar procedures to Davinci. This is not an advancement for robotic surgery. That is FACT.
Look at the size of the footprint of the robot and then think about the average OR square footage. Understand that the OR is used for many non robotic procedures. How can a OR housing this platform possibly be used for anything other procedures for the platform. What problems does it solve. What problems does it create? The capital outlay is the similar to ISRG. The footprint is bigger. The company backing it is questionable at best. This is a step backwards and no surgeon wants to go backwards. The platform has had CE mark for almost 6 years. They have 1 sale.
I know I retained myself. I am a genius.
So all of the board members are on the payroll?? And they were all leaving without assloads of options?
According to CUIN2: I Reiza Rayman gave myself a ton of options not to leave the company I founded. Just a couple weeks ago I told myself "self, these guys suck I am out!" "If Denny can leave well I can too! And then I asked myself, "self will you stay a little longer if I give you an ass load of options?" Myself responded "well I guess I can stay a little longer if I give myself a shitload more options". Damn it! I Reiza Rayman retained myself and now I am paying the price for this decision by having to listen to all these former investors all day. I am certainly earning those options I gave myself to stay but I'm not convinced it was worth it.
These options were not given to retain anyone.
I quite frustrated with the lack of info from Titan and the current pps but still find it interesting that folks with the nonstop banter and noise are not investors in this company.
The theory that the Options were to retain board members make 0 sense. None zero. So Randall was going to leave so let's give him half a million options that should keep him it. Oh and dr wolf is pissed so let's give him a few hundred thousand or so. Don't forget about Valvo he needs about 350k to be willing to play with SPORT at sages next year. And what about our boy Hargrove he is F'ing outta here just like fowler without half a million in options. Cmon man get real!!
I find it interesting that the folks with the most to say no longer have skin in the game. Why is that?
So you think options were given to retain board members some of who have been at Titan since the beginning. Ya right. All of board members have day jobs. They don't need retaining. In fact most shouldn't be retained anyway. Makes 0 sense cuin2.
Smart or dumb money here? At least it's interesting.
Dude get with the program.
Ever set foot in an OR? Senhance has no chance longterm sorry. It just doesn't unless they can miniaturize it. Yes hospitals will use it to try and get a better deal from ISRG. But ultimately with no real advantage and a laundry list of disadvantages they won't be adopting the Nochance platform.
Still wondering how in the hell it gets filled that quickly. It took over hour to my measly 5 k shares filled today.
Re the 200k at the close. Does anyone know if that trade had been sitting out there all day today? That number of shares would normally take some time to get filled given our volume. If it was filled quickly then I have to say there is som shenanigans going on.
SRI Robotics “is licensing next-generation robotics technology to Verb Surgical
Verb will use SRI’s tech as it integrates “advanced imaging, data analysis, and machine learning to remove variation, enable greater efficiency and provide better outcomes across the spectrum of surgery.”12
Well he's connected via IREP and the snake arms at a minimum.
I got ahead of myself Bajo is on another patent with David zitnik for the snake arm chassis not on today's patent. My bad.
It should be noted that Andrea Bajo (verb) worked on this as well.
I am curious about your thoughts. I would have thought IREP had this covered. FYI I have only skimmed the patent this am.
And yet your thesis hasn't changed with trxc.
You must realize it doesn't have a chance. You may love the executives or tech at this co but the medical applicability by this behemoth is low low low. If you really think this pig will fly you may want to consider investing in companies that build hospitals. They will need to totally reconstruct OR's everywhere just to house the immense foot print or build new hospitals and ASCs from scratch.
Thank you for purchasing Senhance here is a list of contractors we recommend for building out the ORs needed to accommodate it.
Yeah this going to work LTG it really will.
Jnj does utilize distribution in Asia FYI. As do many major med device companies.
Be aware the footprint alone of Senhance/ Alf-X will present a huge challenge for a hospital that wants this platform. The average OR ranges from 400-600 sf.
Hopefully they don't need 9 because of:
1 for each SAB member facility to play on 7 total
1 for ximedica
1 for plexus
Big buys 2day.
Wonder where the "world renown liver surgeon" dr fowler referred to during the AGM is from?
Wow I thought the Alf-X name was bad Senhance is just terrible. Ha!
All we have got??? Thought you got out??
Thanks for the update.
Why has intuitive held off releasing sp?
Alf-X and sport are apples and oranges.
Really a low blow? Nah.
Unless it's either SPORT or Auris. Verb will have multiple robots.
There are arguments for Auris and Sport to be foundational platforms for Verb.
Folks that developed both are in key roles at Verb. They essentially have spent their entire robotic lives working on these two platforms.
Just my opinion.
My thoughts:
Verb/ jnj is still my favorite to partner and or acquire Titan
Too many connections here to rule out i.e: Hargrove/ethicon Bajo/other verb engineers connected to Simaan et al Vanderbilt, Colombia, and ximedica, Titan. verb team at ximedica? images that have been circulated, former job posting for verb location Providence. Meetings between Titan & Scott and Dave at Verb. Not to mention JNJ description of their platform is identical to Sport. I can go on and on.
2nd Favorite: Intuitive: Where is SP? Why has intuitive held back on its release? Doesn't make sense,
Recent events lead to lots of conspiracy theories:
Mine: At the AGM there was a mention of Titan being approached by companies that were interested in strategic partnerships. Possibly there was internal feud/ disagreement :
Partner now versus later, continue to go alone, acquisition etc.
Fowler possibly wasn't ready to throw in the towel and be acquired or otherwise partner. Possibly the organization wasn't who he wanted to work with?? Anyway he issues an ultimatum and eventually leaves to work on his other interests.
Ximedica and other partners get caught up in the argument and decide to halt until everything is sorted out. Titan pressures them to get back to work by making it public that ximedica was holding them hostage (doesn't really help ximedica image when they are seeking startup business opportunities). Remember they have stopped work before but never made it public. Also Randal says "they'll come around" hints at their being a disagreement likely due to fowler situation.
Options awards to executives. Some say it's retention tool. I say it's a tool to get paid. The folks that got the options weren't going anywhere anyway. They didn't need a retention award. The number of options were unprecedented. This isn't the first time the stock price has drifted to .50 and isn't the first time they have face financing challenges. But it is the first time they have awarded options at these levels especially to: Valvo, Wolff, barker, Randall. All at a time where management is being questioned by investors like never before (remember JH was just voted out as chairman).
All these things at a minimum indicate that something big is going on behind the scenes. We will find out soon enough hopefully we all are rewarded.
For now I wake up every morning hoping for great news but instead get kicked in the balls and told to be patient.
You mean to tell me that everyone on this board doesn't at least have their series 7!!?? Can't believe it! Dang.
