Not sure about that one though.
Two weeks ago when I called Avanza to by HERB they said it's fine as long as I buy it on my regular share account. It can not be bought within the endowment insurance (kapitalförsäkring) and I must place the order by phone, can't be traded online.
Avanza cancelled all OTC trading a few years ago. You cannot buy, and you cannot sell, through them at all anymore.
Entering Q4 next week. Looking forward to the dividend announcement as well as a substantial rise in the share price.
It's payback time, SIAF.
We shall hope that your possible absence will not be a long-lasting one.
I have decided I will leave this forum on friday Sept 28, 90 minutes after market close. There will be no more input from me, no sharing of knowledge, no support for the company. Until we get the TRW dividend announcement and a record date.
No, I agree with you, RD. Friday night is not a time you would choose for an announcement if you want attention and fireworks, quite the opposite.
On the other hand, if or when SIAF gets some good news to release (can't remember when that happened last time), I doubt they will be too concerned about when to publish it. They will just hit the send-button.
I don't agree about friday's.
You are actually addressing yourself with your own nickname when you post a mesage from yourself to... yourself?
snow the minority stake SIAF has but those profits are not transferred to SIAF.
That is why I added another 20% to my position today.
I just told you, they will likely give us the Record Date, soon, of what will be close to a $1 distribution...
A shorter's worst nightmare.
Not a major problem, I would say.
Most of the hong kong trading hours is when I sleep
Please don't spread false rumours. It is very counterproductive. It is many years since I first traded on the Hong Kong Exchange. No problems whatsoever.
A hong kong listing may be problematic for european and us shareholders. How easy/hard will it be for us to trade it once listed?
Why does it take so long to get TRW and CA listed on a senior exchange?
When can we (realistically) expect these two companies to be listed?
2019? 2020? 2021?
But if one guy holds 1000 votes and the others have got one vote each and they vote (against), then I suppose you can say that they voted and it passed?
Not that I actually believe that is what happened - but still?
They voted on it and it passed.
I am not arguing with you. But we know who has got (all) the voting power.
When they say the Board approved the dividend then the Board approved the dividend. It really doesn't have to be more complicated than that.
Solomon does what he likes and asks no one for permission. That we already know.
But like RD I also believe that Solomon has got a plan and that it eventually will pan out. Everything just takes way too long.
I think is influence over solomon is very limited
He turns 79 next month.
My impression is that nisse isnt involved that much anymore.
12 months holiday.
The Asian banks behind the syndicate loan must have summer vacation...
I don't think his recommendation to sell included SIAF.
A bit further down in the text he says:
"Satsa på bolag...Gärna påbörjad eller i vart fall i sikte UTDELNINGSPOLICY."
"Bet on companies planning to pay out dividends."
It is quite obvious that he means SIAF.
Will it ever change? Will we ever reach a healthy valuation?
(8 years and counting)
Solomon is running this company like a $12M start-up or chip shop
RD, what kind of numbers are you calculating with for a scenario like this?
it could dwarf what we were hoping to get out of TRW
Anyone else?
Before they can announce the stock dividend, I suppose they need to get some sort of financing so they can settle outstanding debt and get the collateral shares back?
They best announce the stock dividend soon.
Their website gives you that sort of Berkshire Hathaway-feeling.
The new auditor has one more client from the US. What a relief.
I was thinking if SIAF is a $5 billion company and owns 20% each of TRW and CA. That would make TRW and CA $12,5 billion each.
I'm not sure how you go from $5 billion to $12.5 billion?
If so, then I guess you calculate that TRW and CA would be something like $12,5 billion each?
10 years from now SIAF could be a $5 billion company
Apologies.
Another 115,000 shares issued. As a result, there are now 38,627,118 shares outstanding.
I don't see any law firm taking this case on a contingency fee. They have better chances getting paid if they buy the share.
MY VIEW IS THAT YOU DO A GREAT DISSERVICE TO CURRENT SHAREHOLDERS IF YOUR INITIATIVE LEADS TO A LAW SUIT!
And so do I.
I agree with Garrett.
He doesn't drink.
while he is half drunk at some party..
No, that one is for me, LOL. He is playing table tennis in Thailand.
He might be golfing. From SIAF Airline Facebook today:
Siaf Golf heads to Pinehurst next week then on to the Abba Hotel on the Baltic.
See you soon Swedes lets tee it up.
An example of rumour psychology.
Someone asks why Nisse is closing his shop for a few days due to eastbound travel. Another one suggests a SIAF-board meeting. A third one comments on the board meeting, and a fourth one, etc etc. And then people start believing that there actually is a meeting between Nisse and Solomon.
Or - it could just be about playing table tennis in Thailand.
Well, at these levels it doesn't matter anymore. It's all or nothing.
This doesn't apply to the China space. Things always go from bad to worse. Until this friggin BOD wakes up.
This could be a good time to buy SIAF-shares, when everyone are angry and upset and shouting "Sue!".

I agree. I also think that he will have substantial ownership in some company(/-ies) that will be the future TRW-owners. This is just me speculating though.
I think Solomon basically controls and runs TRW financially, for now. Who else would be doing it.
I am adding to my position as well. Downing my average and upping my hopes.
However I now got the impression that the company is finally doing the right things and I'm back at a full position. Future looks bright imo.
My source is trustworthy.
If it is a fact, would you mind sharing to us how you obtained the information?
Redbull has accused ECAB of selling, more than once. It was time to let him know that he is wrong, since he doesn't know what he is talking about. He just goes on with his unsubstantiated allegations.
And like jyyoo said yesterday: "...factless speculation! And if you say it enough times, it becomes truth around here."
I am sick and tired of clueless people repeating a lie until other people start believing it is true.
Petrejus I think you raise a difficult question. Do you KNOW that nobody that is part of ECAB has been dumping shares? Generally, is it not ok to try to guess who is or are selling all those shares? At least I agree that any guesses should not be presented as more than guesses.
If that is the case what evidence do you have?
There is something pitiful about people who can never admit that they were wrong.
How can we speculate about anything here if we just are able to chat about facts?
How about dropping the questions and just admitting you were wrong?
The thing is, I know. You don't. And still, you're the one making the false accusations. How about dropping the questions and just admitting you were wrong? And next time you feel like accusing ECAB, check your facts beforehand.
How do you know that ECAB hasn’t sold any shares?
No. In your post you said "I would say it's most likely that ECAB is the ones who are dumping shares."
And since you were wrong, the honourable thing to do, would be to admit that you were wrong. And to apologize for spreading false rumours.
I said it must be ECAB or Solomon I find it hard to see that many shares being sold since we have seen like 5 million shares getting sold here over the time of two years, and what kind of evidence do we have it's not ECAB whos been selling shares?
I would say it's most likely that ECAB is the ones who are dumping shares.
Solomon wants to own as much assets as possible in the future, not support shareholder value today.
SIAF could in theory sell their entire 18.3% stake in TRW for $70M
It would be appropriate with an apology and an official denial - since your claim was false.
I would say it's most likely that ECAB is the ones who are dumping shares.
