"ROCKQQ" posted today: "Positive news could really help. Management should know that their silence only feeds the worst rumors and fear. They need to put out not just one, but a series of specific PRs about things in the works as well as things that are signed. Let us know what the strategy is generally, even if there is no specific signed deal to announce. Investors are confused whether this company is operating out of multiple manuf locations or just one, and on armor only or on spray or any number of other things also. Lack of management statements about current strategy will be negative to the stock price, esp. if the general stock market also sells off."
"ATL", our website developer deluxe, who was in Tucson working with JB and the BORK team on graphics and was in on some demos, for 2 weeks, posted on June 5: "An update is about due next week. "
"ROCK" has made very good points - This will be an important CEO update, so many questions so many answers....we hope....again.
"noguts-tradamus" - Well, thanks for the attention, I guess... truth is you're kinda preaching to the choir.
Maybe your "response" is a "general" post ? Just sayin'...
My "links" post was helpful i.e. because if YOU or ANYONE tried the Pima County Clerk link you'll find there is nothing there about JB and a DUI...Therefore, anyone posting that the DUI charges were NOT DROPPED has some explaining to do, IMO.
Take that for what it's worth. I'm done with the topic.
FYI - My only recent pro-con "critical" post got rave reviews though it was a fairly straightforward re-cap to date. Perhaps you missed it ?

"Edge" - Throwing in my 2 cents for the "group".
JB's case #CR 20093764 or CR 2009-3764. John M. Bourque.
Anyone want to search for his case, knock yourself out.
Please report back what you find.

"alvie" thanks for nailing that perfectly - It's all in the sticky notes and with a little research one can see the Q2 and 3 reports were around the 45 day mark, pushing it, but in compliance.
"noguts-tradamus" has spoken ! I'm choosing to believe both you and "guss" that they are indeed working hard at BORK to save weight and cost and reduce thickness of their armor plates. Good stuff !
Still, BORK needs sales to fund the marketing and NIJ process for the better armor when it's developed w/out JB having to sell stock to fund day-to-day operations - thereby reducing the shareholders' PPS.
That is not criticism or a guess - per the Q reports, it's a fact.
"guss" - That's news to ALL of us but it would not surprise me if BORK has looked into ways to reduce cost, weight and thickness of the armor to truly stand out and be more cost competitive.
The only thing is they'd need to re-submit the enhanced armor version for NIJ if it's to replace the current stand-alone level 3 plate. More $$$ I doubt BORK has to spend right now.
BORK OTC Markets Financial Reports link - still listed as "Current":
http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/BORK/financials
Looking forward to Q4 / annual report due very soon.
Hi "bowser619" - I wrote that and I meant that. For you in this post: I'm critically evaluating what transpired at BORK these last few months and last week related to "ATL" and JB legal.
My view of the negative:
I also feel dissapointment about the lack of "closed" contracts. BORK still has not closed a significant order, despite all the hints and entreaties to hang in there. Unrealistic expectations have not been dissuaded by corporate, and some might say have been encouraged.
The facts are the facts. Rumors and gossip do not equal sales and generate actual revenue.
We all agree Kryron is unique and has ONE PROVEN MARKET - ballistic armor. NIJ.06 proves that.
The other projected uses "sound good" on paper but are not yet "proven". There is no factual basis upon which to "value" Kryron's industrial uses and market applications other than anecdotal reports of new physical properties for rust prevention, anode / cathode/ battery usage and coatings for increased conductivity and thermal resistance etc..
In fact - sadly - BORK has not announced a major OR minor industrial company partnership association with BORK for ANY testing, R&D, prototype development, etc. to confirm that there are interested parties for Kryron plasma coating or alloy infused metals.
If BORK had them, they would be in PR by this point, IMO.
Speaking of PR: Is it a net positive that JB has a new lease on life? IMO -Yes, it mutes the "felon" criticism and that over the top "AZ Star" total hit-job article is now bird cage lining.
If I'm in BORK PR - I'm going to the AZ Star the day the order to drop charges hits the official court logs and demanding a positive story by them. They owe BORK and MUST counter their Woodward / Bernstein attack. I'd bring DVD's, NIJ testing ongoing info and FORTIS info to them in a pre-written "talking points' article. Local papers should be your friend. Give them a FORTIS quote , NIJ "scoop" and they'll be putty.
BORK needs to get their reputation back in the local press. Rally the home team to your side and engender loyalty. Winning a couple contracts will help, too.
That doesn't excuse the fact JB's situation should have been proactively handled by BORK press relations with the "friendly hometown press" long before the article saw daylight.
Next, JB selling 2.9m shares via SEC Rule 144 last month and 1m or more private placement sales prior to that - admittedly for reinvestment into the operational expenses is good for BORK, but bad for shareholders.
Until that stops common shares are in a trading range or .20 -.40.
SO - Back to armor: Sales will make the BORK PPS rise for many reasons foremost is JB can stop selling shares to support activity which hurts PPS...so...
Why can't BORK get these gov't. or corporate tire-kickers signature on paper ?
Why can't BORK execute ?
I know Chuck Norris is not the only guy that can bring a horse to water AND make it DRINK !
There have to be some reasons unseen by the public which I can only guess at....so I won't.
But this is not a guess and one, two or all apply: BORK corporate leadership lacks at least one proven, trained, hunter -killer closer mentality, or BORK armor is not cost competitive or BORK corp. is being used for comparison shopping in negotiations with other companies. Either way, it's a little embarrassing.
Many have posited remedies to the above repeatedly here and privately. I think JB is seeing things in a new light. Which leads to...
The positive:
If JB's SERIOUS about maintaining sobriety, performing testing and lab-work, expanding the alloy offerings, recruiting indirect sales distribution like FORTIS and others...maybe other possible corporate personnel enhancements - well, let's see what transpires with FORTIS.
JB has been successful at buying time for sales and production to ramp up. He has been watching and learning what does and doesn't work. Perhaps he's looking close to home...
After 2 weeks consulting with BORK, next week "ATL" will be able to relate his impressions of BORK more fully. I'll be reading his thoughts, as he's not the type to "sugarcoat"...and I suggest all here do as well.
I prefer facts to innundo and vague allusions of granduer.
I hate the overpromise and under deliver sales philosphy.
Mostly because of "ATL's" reports thus far, in the midst of personally very dissicult times, I'm maintaining my patience...
All I know is I don't know what I don't know. I do know that BORK needs 6 figure and 7 figure sales to move the PPS, Noguts-tradamus...my magic 8 ball keeps coming up "try again later" !!
I know - I hope you were sitting down when you read it 'cuz it totally astounded me too !!
I can't believe that has never been discussed on the IHUB board !?!
Go figure !! Kryron - who would have guessed !!
Sadly - I only can see the past with 20-20 vision - However, I used my 6th sense to determine the PPS will definitely go up on the date when....
*** BORK sells something.
Best news yet "ATL" for him, his family and for us !!
Thanks for the insight.
"stckguy" - DANG ! I almost forgot ! This BORK website (see link) that you and I visit at least once a week ..?
Take a look at everything on ALL the pages - closely...first class work right ?
http://bourqueindustries.com/
You don't know this 'cuz you're new here and I apologize as I was not clear in my response to you: That site - it's a lot more than... "tying ATLLivn to a web services company that does some web site work for BI."
"ATLLivn" did it ALL. Yep. More than "some" - ALL.
Yes - He had support for some photos and most text from BORK, but that's it.
The entire layout & design using the latest web devel. software, logo graphics, navigation, the links, interactivity features, vids, updates / mods...that was ALL done by "ATL" and his team and continues to be monitored by his company.
Again - He's been in Tucson for the last week, working with JB and the BORK team on additional brochures, graphics and sales lit, dvd's - all the sales support items that help a company project a professional image and lead to sales...which all BORK shareholders desire.
Respect.
Yep, no problem. Lot of history among about 40 or so posters here you'd be hard-pressed to catch up with in one day. Believe who /what you choose. Me - I'm choosing to take the word of a really credible, smart and hard-driving person working hand in hand w/ JB in Tucson....now.
But hey - I always welcome solid evidence.
Caveat Emptor: Section 2 of the IHUB Terms of Service you agreed to today: "Messages posted by individuals may be misleading, deceptive, or in error. If you disagree with a posting, feel free to voice your opinion. It is the policy of iHub to allow our members to freely discuss issues in a free and open manner, and we will not take sides in disagreements or disputes based on investment sentiment or other subjective criteria."
BTW - My exp. is Mr. Meyers is not always prompt. If you have time to write him maybe also have time tomorrow to call the Pima Superior Court & ref. the case number I gave you ?
Thanks !
Hey "stckguy" - Welcome to the "real" BORK board - Yeah, best thing that ever happened is BORK.PK going belly-up on "Yahoo"...IMO. Circular firing squad of commentary over there.
Sure, I get it - you don't know folks here yet !
"ATLLivn" has his own photog / graphics / website design company and is working in Tucson this week for Bourque Industries -not an employee of BORK, but a tremendous contributor.
He's been with JB almost every day for a week.
He got the word last night from some unnamed "source" - maybe not internet posted yet.
June 12th is /was JB's trail date and if that's been changed you can confirm that (or refute that) by calling the clerk of the superior court in Pima County, Tucson, AZ tomorrow...John Bourque case number CR 2009-3764
Meanwhile I trust comments by those who I know are proven to be trustworthy.
"ATLLivn" is trustworthy. Trust me.
JB was due for a 6/11 trial date w/ a case number. That could be checked if it's dropped or removed I 'spose...I guess some folks need some link to a release or dropped charges.
Somemone can call Pima County Justice if u want.
Me - I believe you, that's that. Let's get BORK movin' and put JB back in the kitchen makin' recipes !
Done !
"Nogutsno glory" -OTC might have realized the inconsistent trading symbols - some with .PK and some without. Maybe they changed it for BORK ? I don't have time today to call OTC and research with them, but that is where I'd start.
Also - Looks like "Yahoo" has dropped the message board for BORK (w/out the .PK) - that is a GOOD THING !!
BORK.PK symbol no longer valid per "MSN Money" and other sites.
New trading symbol: BORK.
http://investing.money.msn.com/investments/stock-price?symbol=BORK&ocid=qbes
http://www.otcbb.com/asp/Info_Center.asp
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=bork.pk&ql=1
Was this decision by the OTCBB or BORK ?
New standardization at OTCBB ?
Thoughts ?
Curious if the board is meeting in the next week or so to decide on succession / transition - they must be.
"Dugway" is a top notch location - if BORK can make it there they can make it anywhere !
The US military might find uses for BORK ballistic protection for applications other than body armor. I believe BORK has improved on the armor from that demo (last year) in the meantime.
I also liked the IED tests Cmdr. Lewis ran in Florida, and am curious about the results of the IED "closed" testing in front of Homeland Security.
"Bourque Facebook" mentioned that testing.
DP4 - Nice work ! Educational ! I did not know about the size differences and the Wiki I had skimmed over quite a while back.
Curious if the Bourque team will take this approach, too.
Why are LE hard armor "shooters cut" plate and the "full size" plate (that looks like the Terminator plate) and carriers from "Point Blank" not conforming to SAPI plate spec sizes ?
http://pointblankarmor.com/lawEnforcement/hardArmorPlates.php
http://www.pointblankarmor.com/Military/plates.php
Sort of strange that there are differing size specs for LE and military. I'm sure someone can explain that.
RE: The DoD mil spec you'd think BORK would have as they have done a few demos for the U.S. Army - but those were related to vehicle armor.
BTW - Are Xsapi plates to be the same size as Sapi ?
You can see them here:
BORK armor has 6 year warranty + Level 2, L 2plus, L 3 in conj., and Level 3 stand alone (NIJ approved plate). Better than the 5 year warranty others offer.
Welsome to the board by the way !
The L2 plates in particular are excellent weight /protection it appears. That's what most street officers use. Different LE depts. implement different replacement protocols.
BORK needs to execute we all agree.
Tell us about ESAPI cert - is that hard to get and is it only for Level 4 plates - which BORK does not have ?
No, you're absolutely 100% right to point out those 2 different words mean 2 different things - THAT is EXACTLY what you posted.
Very astute !! You the man !! Great work !!
"He said BUILDING inventory, not STOCKPILING and there IS a difference!"
Glad I could help you present your case - already sent both our previous really valuable content posts to Andrew - still waiting for his reply darn it...maybe I'll forward our last 2 as well !!
Thanks for the clarification, he might have been confused - sounded implausible to me too, but I'm not the expert !
Can you provide us with a link to the data base you located in your search where we can read the list of all the companies other than BORK that have been approved for body armor exportation and to what specific countries and /or companies ?
Thanks in advance.
ITAR approval is based on registration for an export license and Dept. of State review and approval for export, paying registration fees of $2,250.00 and up annually and getting a registration number...basically.
BORK has met those requirements, Terminator armor was approved for export and BORK was issued an ITAR registration number - maybe you missed it ?
http://azstarnet.com/business/local/tucson-body-armor-maker-wins-international-registration/article_51dfded8-4922-11e1-bccb-001871e3ce6c.html
From there, ITAR is self-regulating, requiring excellent record - keeping in case of audit.
Read "Compliance" section:

http://www.pmddtc.state.gov/regulations_laws/documents/official_itar/ITAR_Part_121.pdf
RE:Definitions for you = very different between "stockpile" and "building"....yep, huge mistake by Andrew !
Stockpile: A supply stored for future use, usually carefully accrued and maintained. To accumulate and maintain a supply of for future use.
Building: Something that is built, as for human habitation; a structure. The act, process, art, or occupation of constructing.
***Andrew Meyers and I each live in a "building" not a "stockpile". Good call there !!
Here's what I'm going to do right now...I'll send Andrew a copy of your post and mine so he can issue a correction immediately to the media !!
Hey thanks !! Good job !!
Doing biz w/ the US gov't. one can be a Small Business (1-50 employees, etc.) and / OR Disadvantaged (ethnic or racial minority).
Mr. Colio may be in both groups or only one.
Success is the key, not the class - Obviously.
Good point - a mental midget is vulgar / attacking the "free" guys via PM (not the board) and knows he can skate w/out rebuttal...kinda feel sorry for those guys.
Not me - "Free" posters are screwed as they are defensless from returning the attack.
IHUB admin is the way to go for them - or am I wrong ?
They can't get "vulgar" right back on the board or they violate TOS right ?
If a poster sends a PM to another poster with vulgar name calling can / should the recipient poster report the vulgar PM to the IHUB board for discipline ?
ITAR certification reminder for investors...good news for Bourque Industries.
Jan. 27, 2012
Arizona Daily Star
Tucson-based Bourque Industries says it has been issued an International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) registrant code, a step towards foreign sales of the company’s proprietary line of aluminum-alloy body and vehicle armor.
Bourque said the ITAR registrant code for the company’s Kryron Terminator Armor Systems line was issued by the U.S. Department of State on Jan. 5 and received by the company this week.
Arizona Daily Star
Thanks "pacco" - IMHO that's good news, especially if additional sales closing paperwork is pending for BORK. Gives BORK 3 weeks to wrap up all unfinished business dealings.
This time it's not a long delay (3-4 weeks) so the next date in June is probably it.
JB's attorney has got postponments since 2010 at least.
Bourque should update their "Facbook" page that there is a CEO Letter on the Bourque website, with more information to come monthly.
Many people will visit there as a first option or from a recommendation by friends -
There have been a couple live fire demos scheduled and attended by BORK we have seen mentioned on IHUB in the last 6 weeks.
To that end: I thought the "Facebook" site would be video and photograph intensive / active, like pics from the Kansas LE attended live fire demo scheduled last month ( no info on Bourque or Facebook )and any new production facility enhancements.
Why has that demo result not been released ?
Can the website also have the same videos embedded ?
I see that now - 61,000 at .4334 PPS - .3 cents over the close today. What's up there ?
Excellent - thanks for the heads up "ATL" !
Now let's see if the storm commences with sales numbers and relationships developed with dealers and industrial companies !
Thanks for the update "ATL". That's a lot of directions in the industrial market and BORK hopefully has some industrial partners working directly with them and Kryron alloy to refine and improve the efficacy of the Kryron for all the applications we forsee.
Ceradyne is the "big leagues", no question there. Glad the plate worked, and that all that matters.
Ceradyne - benefits from "Big time politics" but also a proven track record. If the plates test & perform to NIJ, and they (or BAE Systems - another HUGE player) get the contracts for now, I'm fine with that....for now.
Facing facts: BORK is what it is.
BORK has a L-O-O-O-NG ways to go before we can even be considered as a body armor supplier to the US military.
First, BORK has to prove it can mfg. and deliver on time and for that you need $$$ for all aspects of mfg. and a Level IV NIJ plate for the military. More money.
BORK does not yet have the plate and any of the rest is TBD. We'll know more soon.
I know for a fact BORK's working on a curved plate - it's what the market wants - more comfortable to wear.
BORK might have an angle on how to make it less uncomfortable when you crawl on it or fall on it...but IMO hugging dirt under fire will be the first thought - following somewhere about 15th place down the list is plate comfort.
IMO plate comfort is the comfort of knowing your plate works over and over day in and out.
Like Terminator armor.
The list is not public, but compiled from the brokerages. It will be used for the annual report mailing and proxy vote (if one is sent).
I think it may be requested at that time...not sure.
The investor affiliates / beneficial shareholders of record is in the Quarterly report.
"noguts" - My post#13223 is about my phone call to BORK. I think that was a good call and worth the time. Anyone can call.
My guess - they're taking their time putting the info together they want to make a "splash" on the website.
It even sounds like they were more open with me about hinting that a few big projects were "hopefully" closing in the next 6-8 weeks - no specific amounts or companies they're talking with though !!
I believe him.
IMO - BORK's not "hiding" anything about pending contracts from the shareholders intentionally. Some good business sense and NDA / confidentiality agreements.
And it takes time.
Anyway, I do believe you were there, too.
Hey - Did you notice how many people approx. were working at BORK over the 3 hours you were there ? Was it anywhere near 11-12 not counting JB and the officers ?
