No problem just seems that when the questions get a bit too technical up go the walls. I watched both videos and yes the information is nice and clean. As far as DD not much out there other than the 10K and today's interview with the inventor...
Thank you for the information but what grade of plastic is required to produce Jet Fuel A or B?
From what I saw those links are a commercial. I would rather hear it while the CEO is on the hot seat with no preparation or editing involved.
Ok sorry. Please clarify what it takes to produce aviation grade fuel then. Somehow I do not believe lower grades are going to do the trick.
Yes you sent me the exact same message yesterday. I chose to watch the CEO and his presentation today. All in all it was a good 90 seconds and the panel thought so too albeit they took a cautionary stance...nothing wrong with that is there?
I didn't say that the CEO stated that on todays video. One of his examples was the plastic slips that hold the invoices on cardboard boxes. The panel asked him specifically about coke bottles and he said no. Go back and view it if you don't believe me.
The process is a bit more finicky than I first thought. After viewing todays video the CEO mentioned that the process requires high grade plastic rather than everyday household items like milk jugs, coke bottles and the like. Which in my view makes up the majority of landfill waste. So on that note I was a bit disappointed but realize to make high grade fuel would require high grade waste. There is still a demand for it but not like there would be if it could process the consumer market items which it cannot. One other concern is nothing has been patented yet.
Don't know. Chalk it up to enthusiasm just like a year ago with LNGT...Remember? Now its a hate fest over there will history repeat itself...Thoughts?
Thank you Justice appreciate the info
Yes I saw the video of the factory and a couple of people staring at a kettle and giggling. To me its a very small scale operation. And if the plan is to handle everything from that one spot in Niagara Falls then I do not see big money for a few years at least. I am very familiar with New York and surrounding areas it just doesn't equate to the numbers that have been thrown around here.
So JBII has one depot where they distribute the fuel to customers correct? Pretty much like a modern day refinery. How much fuel are they going to have to sell each month in order to turn a profit. As of today how much fuel have they been able to produce in a months time?
One thing missing in this huge picture is the logistics. Even on the most optimistic scenario waste management would use the devise to fuel their trucks. To build an infrastructure like most here are talking about would cost a great deal of upfront money. Individual stations in all but the largest cities would be hard pressed to keep this running 24/7. Plus all the other costs that seem to be brushed aside here but are very real. To say the least I'm not convinced. Good idea but difficult to sustain profitability.
T Boone is focused on wind generators big time. I have not read anything about him looking into a fly by night plastic distillery...please provide some proof to that claim.
"Only thing Congress can do is limit our choices. They could take our choice to use hydrocarbons away from us by the threat of force" And in the past has congress ever displayed such an action?
I see one brilliant inventor who should be on the top of your list, instead of third, and the only reason why he put his invention there was to utilize the falls not because its a great place to be.
"and you are willing to accept the use of hydrocarbon based motor fuel" That is for congress to decide given the fact that hydrocarbons are already an issue I think it will be a long battle.
Obviously when you talk about $1800 for landfill fees it is regional. So free yes in that area but again is it enough to churn out a profit day in and day out? I would like to see proof other than a day spent at the plant.
So your point is since nobody wants it they will drive up to this plant and drop it off? Somebody has to collect it. So right there you have at least one employee, one vehicle. I guess you can burn the fuel from the plant again this doesn't come free. Being in Niagara Falls to me doesn't appear to be the mecca for plastic waste in that how can this area sustain any kind of consistent flow of product to keep the doors open. Drive it in from Buffalo and all points in between? at over $4 a gallon gasoline?
Just a couple of issues that come to mind.
'The only thing changing is a new set of buyers who are interested in mixed plastics, which the county ships out in 1,200-pound bales.
"Even if we only get a dollar a ton for your recyclables, that's still better than county residents paying $18 to $35 a ton to put it in a landfill," Condon said.
Key word "buyers" there is no "free" lunch. Something that has to be accounted for in the cost to turn plastic into oil. Good concept much needed but profitable?...I have yet to see that.
The Battis explanation is a poor excuse for laying a blog sight to waste. Funny as it sounds the ones who are complaining the most are the ones who claim to have profited from this company. So inquiring minds would like to know why that is?
Finally someone manned up and paid a visit and then reported out! Thank you brewcrew hope things workout in the time frame you suggested.
Its not like this was the only stock that had a bad day looks like the whole market including gold and oil got a haircut. IMHO
You're the undisputed breaker of the news why would I want to cast a shadow on such an illustrious career? LOL!
Yeah how many times have I seen this post "only two before we're off" only to watch it stagnate into the next day, week, month. Does anyone even know if Palm Bay has one in use yet?
Thanks "V" that shows one view, but there was another where it shows the body of the unit upright locked into a jig and a person getting ready to install the optics, thought for sure it was on this.
ha ha I get it! now do us all a favor and show the clip from December 19th and let the rest of the members decide for a change.
On December 19th 2010 on CNN's Edge of Discovery it shows an LEI employee assembling a Dazer mounted in a precision jig. The video was posted here not that long ago.
Ok.. I like that end of story part. Just like the RS story a few months back.
JHarvey@laserenergetics works, just sent an email and it did not bounce. So add that to the conspiracy archive. To put it in a nutshell I don't think anybody has any current information on the goings on with this. Prove me wrong show me a bank statement, pics of Bob standing on the corner with a tin cup and ragged clothes...something other than the bla bla.
I think we all know the answer to that.. Schall answers to only one so if he was told to keep mum would he break the bond?
Is that official?
No never have, have you ever met or talked with JH?
I wish somebody would I would even pay to go see it.
Here is another theory to ponder maybe he was caught disclosing some information to someone he shouldn't have. We will probably never know exactly what the circumstances are but this statement is equally as valid as the rest because its speculation.
Yeah been listening for three years now I don't think you give JH much credit to think he didn't know what he was getting in to. He can read just as well as you and I and if he didn't notice anything from things being said even one year ago then I don't know how he ever obtained as high of a position at GD that he did.
You mean all the PHD, Military and contractor types JH dealt with all those years and he met his match with BB? Now I just have to laugh at that. Actually if thats true then BB is one hec of a personality does the sun go hide behind the clouds when he walks down the street too? Oh my God my sides hurt from laughing.
Thanks LTG appreciate it. I will say this as just my opinion how does someone like JH not know what he is getting into. Surely he is a well seasoned management type who can put together a character profile. I have to believe there is a lot more to this picture than just a CEO and his ego. I mean there are other long timers there like Armstrong how do they put up with it. We know DS's angle its right out of that public bathroom scene in Hot Tub Time Machine! lol! oh well i'm hoping for the best.
Hey point well taken I still own the stock and will continue to do so. You have said you are completely out and that all the posts are just for our own good thank you. For a minute there I thought you might have wanted to drive the price down to a point where you can jump back in. There was a time not so long ago where you thrashed both Thorpe and Contractor but now its more like well wait a minute lets hear what they have to say. Just an observation no need to go ballistic.
I know K.C, have been jousting with this guy for years. He doesn't bring much to the table but if nothing else its to highlight his motives. For most of us we know about the FM's of the past and how fluffy they are. For those that don't I want to point out if you read carefully there are no concrete statements in any of them. That fact hasn't helped BB's credibility. What he needs to do to shed that image is get these Dazers into trails the sooner the better. That's something JH had no control over, from what I gather he had no laser manufacturing experience he just kind of fit in with the GD displays once that was over he probably just twittled his thumbs. IMHO
One quarter sounds a bit meeeowish to me. Four months (if that) tells me he wanted to test the water and found out that being second best in a startup company wasn't anything like what he had grown accustomed to over at GD. Dead canary was probably not all that healthy to begin with.
