Political Science by Randy Newman:
Today I started CANF @ 5.72 with half the position I would normally trade. They're going to have a couple trial read outs
in the weeks ahead.
There should be some excitement going into the psoriasis results based on the RA results for the same compound.
I will make it a full position if the stock tumbles further.
Today, I'm selling the 3 January Effect plays I called here:
Here the % Gains:
TGTX 15%
APPA 12%
MSTX 41%
I'm going to put my .02. I'm about 10 years younger than my fellow expat here in The Philippines
Anyway, I attended a recent holiday get-together of these expats in my area.
There were 18 guys in attendance in their 50s, 60s & 70s. I was the newcomer to the group. Over a dozen of these men were on Abloc. Only two were investors in STSI. I've never even traded STSI because of the capital structure and the behavior of the recently departed CEO. But, most of these reasonable, kind, humble and, for the most part, intelligent men spoke superlatively about Abloc. I trust they are being helped in some way. But, I wouldn't rule out the placebo effect. I also believe the world needs more placebos and less side effects.
One of the reasons I live over here is to get away from people who don't know what they don't know. That's you MWM. You are so ignorant that you will probably never realize how ignorant you are. But, what makes you so special is the way you inflict yourself on the people of this board (and probably others who don't agree with your poorly processed viewpoints) .
Not that you will take anyone's advice; but, you need to read Finite and Infinite Games by Carse. Then, maybe, you will have a clue about the nature of people who have the needy weakness of silencing others.
Rolling Stones doing Salt of the Earth:
Don't know anything about Parralox
But, they make me want to be young again, go to art school and ignore my studies doodling on a synthesizer:
Toots & the Maytals doing Pressure Drop : Great
Toots & the Maytals plus Keith Richards : Even Better
Has it really been 6 years?
I had no idea anyone would remember. Thanks!
I will post more here.
How about Katey Sagal giving Jackson Browne a Lucinda Williamsesque vibe:
Wow the 8th, 5 Exclamation Marks.
For that, I will reveal that I would secretly like to play tambourine for Tenacious D:
The Wisconsin band Cribshitter makes its debut at Drummer and Missy's Place:
The only guy I pay attention to on Motley Fool is this guy:

ANTH just may catch a rocket ship to the wayoutisphere.
Look at the recent uptick in volume for AERO. This is being accumulated.
I think this will have a 5-dollar handle sometime in 2014.
I'm in @ 2.50
I've been accumulating MSTX the last couple days. My average is .415. The January Effect will bring a nice % move with virtually no risk of dilution.
This is the time when I begin to consider sub-$1 stocks. My criteria for these stocks is needs be less than the Jaffecta stocks I have been buying.
In my opinion, APPA and MSTX are two of the best in the sub-$1 category.
I'll call TGTX up from here. I loaded it for the January Effect. My entry is 3.69 average.
What I like:
Baker Brothers have large position.
They will have a much anticipated ASCO presentation
Their oncology compound makes them a take-out candidate for its combination therapy possibilities.
No near-term financing risk
I've also started a position in APPA.
Here's why:
* Financing has recently been completed
* Has an OTC biotech ever had such an accomplished CEO?
* Waiting on a PDUFA date
* At some point in 2014, will likely R/S and uplist.
Thanks for helping me time IRDM, Swampy
I've been accumulating KBIO this morning. Aside from RNA, it's the most beat-down bio IPO of the year. I doubt these prices will last, but if they do I will buy more.
Buying $CRIS largely on the weight of the comment on this blog:
http://pharmaceuticalintelligence.com/2013/11/25/liver-toxicity-halts-clinical-trial-of-iap-antagonist-for-advanced-solid-tumors/
I did sell BIOD today. I don't want to hold into managements comments on Friday and it's too weak today for my comfort.
I'm still in it for now. Thinking I'll be able to collect the divy plus at least my present gains. We'll see.
Yesterday, I was accumulating IGXT. I would buy more if given the opportunity.
It's been beaten down recently on a poorly executed financing.
IGXT has a PDUFA early next year with a high likelihood of approval. So, normally this would be a good candidate to bring Sheff's board. Unfortunately, he has a pig-headed view of biotechs not listed on the big board. Too bad, too. I'll just say that a foreign or OTC biotech that has submitted an NDA to the FDA is just as legit as many big-board listed biotechs.
I looked up that article. Thanks for bringing to my attention. It reminded me why the only Motley Fool author I presently pay any attention to is zzlangerhans.
The MBA boy writing that is clearly a better reader of earnings releases than a spotter of Jaffecta opportunities.
You 'll have to re-phrase that question for me, Swampy.
Insider Buying in IO. I should not have accumulated this much But, I did.
You need to do more DD on CNDO. I scalped 20 cents on it from the opening.
But, the only thing that will get it higher than cash is more hype.
The autism study involves 5 participants and pig worms.
I will also point out that IO waved a middle finger at the rating agencies yesterday by putting in a higher volume hammer after the credit downgrade.
I've been adding all week.
Last year GTAT was giving investors the same vibe. Look at it now.
Well ... Dont miss the excellent ANTH. The study they are about to read out was designed with the cumulative wisdom of all their past trials.
To put it crudely, their endpoint is less foamy piss.
I just started DRAD
Also, I closed my RNA into yesterday's close. I hope to recycle. This has been my most lucrative tax loss season play.
Do you know anything their efforts to uplist?
Yes, no doubt, they've been data mining since that readout.
We'll see what the CEO comes up with and how it's received.
Whatever, they have other assets and decent cash.
The bad news this year was mixed study data when most were expecting a promising readout
I honestly believe the two most important factors in biotech are pipeline and CEO. I study these guys because I know people much, much better than I know biology.
I'm pretty sure the reason for this selling is that BIOD is set to announce their decision on going ahead with a phase III study. Announcement could come any day. Somebody doesn't want wait around and find out.
Whether their pipeline has value is debatable. But, if the ultra-dubious CYTR CEO can pull a rabbit out of the hat maybe a much competent man can too.
BIOD has some classic Jaffecta price action today.
190K sell followed by many smaller buys including my own starter.
I like the CEO and they have a decent cash balance.
I think it will work out for you, but you may have to hold it for a couple weeks.

No, I'm thinking rewind to the first trading day of December. I suspect it melts down for at least a couple days here.
CNDO is not quality. The only thing it has going for it is cash.
Does that pattern remind you of RNA a few days back?
Bought a small position AMCN. I will not add. I like early volume.
You know your way around IHUB, Swampy.
I've been on here since peeps had their fingers in VCRs and I have no idea how to find the highest rated posters.
Sold my KBIO and bought CBMX.
I'm trying find out how big this segment of the chromosomal analysis market is. I've seen some refer to it as transformative for the company; but, can't tell whether that's hype yet.
Anyway, that volume spike the other day is real.
I loaded IO in the first minute of trading.
I will need to be disciplined about keeping some of this.
One of the themes of resource extraction in the future years is working in harsh environments. I listened to a couple of their CCs
and believe this is a turnaround in the making.
The lawsuit that has scared many off has been reserved for.
Also and most importantly there has been insider buying and hedge fund buying. Tudor Jones is also in this one.
I'm already up .09 in the time it took to write this post.
