Hey Tamaman, if you are tired of your Blue Chip stocks you can always send them to me. I promise to get excited about them during the Easter Parade !
Mine are also doing very well but seriously, Yawn!
The Price Per Share IMO is being held low for a reason. If the bid for the mine(s)is just slightly or is profitable they will need to pay us at least what the shares are worth. "Expenses" can explain away much of the profits.
My concern is if the pps does not rise, we will only at best be rewarded a penny or much less per share. Is this just? Not if I was the judge!
I think both properties should sell for a BILLION+ and we should be rewarded .20 per share in a perfect Great Basin Gold ~ Ronald Thiessen World!
For the record, I like Ron, I just hope he has a solution for this GBG financial mess. If he doesn't we are ....

This is the payer we can use at the start of the GBGLF Millionaire Pool Party
I am going to hang on until the end of April or the end of May when the BR Plan is posted or ditributed.
I am going to need a gallon of scotch after this weekend if we do not get a great offer FOR Burnstone! $$$
SCOTCH, SCOTCH, VODKA, IRISH WHISKEY & MORE SCOTCH! I AM FEELING FINE!
I am, I have .5 million shares so...
Like you I can afford to lose the money so...
Hoping to make some serious cash!
See you & the GBG gang at the Bellagio in June!
Welcome to the GBG Millionaire Party at the Bellagio on May 31st?
The final Business Rescue Plan will not be published and distributed until May 31st. The GBG Bellagio Pool Party will hopefully be in June for those of us that were crazy enough to risk buying huge chunks of GBGLF shares at the 1 cent level.
I highly doubt Ron Thiessen, Bob Dickinson and HDI will allow this company to liquidate and simply give many of their holdings to the South African government.
Ronald will be doing his best to workout a viable solution. The man is brilliant so...
Get ready for a rollercoaster ride but I think very shortly we are about to bounce...
I will let you know if this investment makes me a million+ by simply investing pennies.
Our GBG Business Rescue Plan publication date has been set until 31 May, 2013. This buys all of the GBG shareholders valuable time.
The target date for binding offers is end of March 2013 for Burnstone and mid~April for Hollister etc.
Was it not stated months ago that if they only we had another five months with both mines running; we would see a strong profit and with one mine running at full capacity in Nevada we might be able to...?
What is Ron Thiessen's and HDI's plan A, B & C? Personally, I cannot wait until the envelopes are opened. We have another two months of this roller coaster ride so buckle yourself in this is going to be a wild ride.
Are we having any success removing enough gold from the Hollister mine this quarter to...?
I think we are all hoping to promptly appease our creditors and see the pps rise to at least 20 cents per share within two months!
On May 31st now everything will be decided for SouthGold Exploration as already "Peter" Petrus Francois Van Den Steen mentioned!
Peter will provide us all with... I just stated all of this in my previous post so... if you want the info just read my previous post and the links.

We have to pray that when the miners get back in their to work at Burnstone they do not strike or ask for high wages for at least three years. After the GBG merger or the new company is in place and making a good profit that is when their employees should be looking for raises etc.
Previously, Peter saved a gold mine SA etc. and what happened almost immediately after it saved was labour strife. No profits = obviously, no raises!
In time the miners, will be well compensated at Burnstone! This is all going to take time. 3+ years!
I am still very concerned that we may only get .02 price per share and a new company will simply disolve our shares and move on with their own. This would be almost as bad as getting 0 pps.
Sadly, we are not out of the woods or the GBG sink~hole yet!
1000% improvement on my GBG investment would be a start! I would happily settle for a 100% improvement.
Unfortunately, 0 pps may arrive in mid -April? A total liquidation of this company does not seem realistic at this point?
We love "Peter" Petrus Francois Van Den Steen, great work!
It was recently stated "...2.4. Peter was very confident that a proper bid will be received, especially as the potential bidders are reputable mining companies that will meet the required criteria to purchase the mine or the company..." during a BR meeting.

I cannot wait to see what Ron or the potential bidders for all of the Great Basin Gold assets are going to pull out of their Green Magicians' Hats this spring?
The BC judge mentioned "I have provided a typewritten summary of my orders. HDI and Farallon are awarded $75,000 each in general damages and $25,000 each in punitive damages. Mr. Thiessen is awarded $125,000 in general damages, $75,000 in aggravated damages and $25,000 in punitive damages. Really, we need to sit down with a beer or a glass of wine and simply ask Ronald Thiessen our CEO what his plan A, B & C are... Luckilly Ron is brilliant, once the bids are opened for Burnstone; he should hopefully know how GBG must move forward.
On of my concerns is, seriously, why have Ron Thiessen and Bob Dickinson done everything possible to distance themselves from their Great Basin Gold financial mess that they created? In my humble opinion, they could solve and resolve this easily with Hunter Dickinson funds? Is ample gold in the ground? Can it be profitably mined??? Well it is close to retirement for both of Ron & Bob and I know they deserve a golden egg and a golden hand~shake but this has gotten very messy.
I am positive that they hate their and GBG's dirty laundry being aired in several international courts. It will not take us all long to get to the bottom of all of this. We will all want to know what really transpired in South Africa & Nevada. We will demand answers if the shareholders walk away with nothing!

"Liquidation
By the time its board appointed Van den Steen as its business rescue practitioner, the company was incurring monthly losses of about R10-million. The Durban Roodepoort Deep board could not continue to plug the dyke with money because it was putting the group at risk, said Van den Steen.
The new business rescue regime offered a possible solution that was better than liquidation, particularly because, if a mining company is liquidated, mining rights – a big part of its value – are lost.
"It needed a fresh set of eyes," said Van den Steen. It also needed the sometimes extraordinary powers that are given to the business rescue practitioner, who temporarily takes over custodianship of a company.
In the project Van den Steen, who has experience in the metallurgical side of mining, used a team including PwC's business recovery services division, Bowman Gilfillan's business rescue law specialists, media specialists and independent valuators. "You need independence and credibility because creditors are watching and challenging you all the time," he said.
His team started ferreting through the assets and the various operations of the mine. It was a large, complex and creaking organisation with a big turnover of about R1.7-billion a year. "We looked at the business fundamentals, but also at every detail and every piece of the operation. Nothing was taboo; we turned everything on its head and I asked the stupid questions," he said.
"We also spent a lot of time communicating with the unions and with the [then] 4700 workers to allay insecurity and demoralisation.">...
GBG will not liquidate so buy, buy, buy if you want $$$ !
Affected underground operations
Van den Steen said the turnaround resulted in a total saving in value of several hundred million rands more than what would have been raised by liquidation, and avoided massive environmental liabilities and secondary job losses. The total cost of the business rescue was about R11-million, a little more than a month's loss in the bad period.
Village Main Reef has continued the restructuring of Blyvooruitzicht. The company was hit by a strike during the Marikana wave and about half its 4700 workers have been retrenched this year, but the mine continues to function. It announced this month that more jobs were under threat after a seismic event in October that affected underground operations as well as an illegal strike.
Given the large number of other old gold mines that are vulnerable to making losses, does Van den Steen believe that business rescue can make a big difference to the gold industry in general? "The problems with the Labour Relations Act, which requires a 60-day consultation process for retrenchment, much too long for the business rescue process, make it impractical ... The lack of fast and efficient funding mechanisms is also a big hurdle."
On the question of financing for companies in business rescue, he said banks were skittish. "It's going to take some time to change their minds," he said. Large financial funders such as the IDC are unlikely to be good sources (without special provisions for business rescue) because of their lengthy due diligence and other procedures. By its nature, business rescue requires quick action.
Van den Steen is involved in two other business rescues: Southgold Exploration Burnstone mine, owned by Canadian-based Great Basin Gold, and Top TV, which has run out of money two years after it started.

WD wrote Question: Could possible suitor buy GBGLF with shares? Or does it have to be cash or can it be a combination? I would certainly accept shares in a viable, on going venture (big venture).
Our GBG acquisition or merger will be determined by the rules set out by the Business Rescue proceedings, CCAA,JPMORGAN, CIBC WM, GBG and finally the purchaser's final agreement/contract.
I am hoping for a straight acquisition but if abundant resources are not definitely in the ground or cannot be absolutely proven; this will never occur and the same with a merger.
I am wondering why this quarter GBG is advertising positions and filling them? Possibly, they are only interested in a merger? This may not be in the best interest of the shareholders IMO.
As shareholders, we will possibly get nothing if no profit is forth coming from the sales of the varied GBG assets this spring. I am hoping we will be paid a dime+ per share via a straight acquisition. We may be offered shares but the equitable distribution could get messy.
I do think the GBG name is seriously tarnished at this point possibly beyond the point of repair so I am really hoping Barrick, Newmont or a Chinese company wins the bids with straight cash bids and no "strange legaly binding clauses" so...

"According to the company, there are approximately 25 suitors for its Hollister mine located in Nevada and a number of potential companies who could look to acquire Burnstone as well, which could include Gold One International and Wits Gold - a company undoubtedly on the lookout for an operational gold mine. A more formal announcement regarding a possible acquirer is said to be made in February or March this year.
A lot of questions revolve around the brand new Burnstone gold mine and process plant, and why Great Basin Gold could not mine is profitably. There are indications that its choice to use mechanised mining could be largely to blame."
