TY for posting the article jamesg145. It was an interesting read and gave me another valid reason for being hesitant about getting into shipping stocks.
I will say though, the prospects of potential huge returns will have me eyeing DRYS on a daily basis.
If the global economy gets better and there are some indications that it might be mending if only slightly, then DRYS could be a huge winner next year. Something that has caught my attention is the fall in gold prices. This is usually an indication that investors see an opportunity in other things. This little bit being said, DRYS could see a massive increase in pps, maybe to 5.00 and beyond.
Still, there are many things out there that could easily send it to .50 a share.
I just grabbed a bunch at .0020
Once again you have posted an interesting piece of work Deadmau5 and are to be commended. I guess we will soon see if that is favorable to us or not. My guess at this moment is that it is very favorable.
You could easily be right jamesg145. This is one that could put s very big grin on a lot of faces. I just haven't been able to make a decision yet and as of this posting see more negatives than positives. I do plan to keep a close eye on DRYS.
I get the feeling, and it's only a feeling, that January will be an interesting month for the pps of this stock.
DRYS will either soar or sink in 2012. I don't think there will be much of a middle ground with this stock. And at present, I am leaning toward sink.
It will be interesting to see if we start the morning with the usual small sale.
It is my prayer that our Lord will give each one of you the best Christmas you have ever had and will continue to watch over you during the new year.
I nominate Imcat for this years "lick the red off candy award"
You don't believe in alien investors GBrown1959? I bet Investors Flub is loaded with them. You just need to keep your eyes open and you will see what I am talking about.
On a more serious note. Could it be that these are buys made by people who can't afford anything else? And by that I mean, I think there are probably more than a few people who started out with whatever amount of cash, probably a small amount, and were hoping beyond hope to make a killing in penny stocks. Many of these folks have been "cold busted" to the point they can't make much of a buy because now they only have a few bucks in their accounts. I see these small buys as an attempt to at least get back to somewhere around even with the board. Maybe there are a lot of other reasons for such small purposes but I can't think of any right now.
These are obviously trades made by investors from another planet that have an IQ way above that of even the smartest human.
HPGS does have some potential but I am afraid it will be six months or more before anyone sees a significant rise in pps.
I would have been glad to have paid 0016 for those shares assuming I could have bought some more along with it. When you consider commissions, it doesn't make a lick of sense to buy or sell 5000 shares at .0015.
Imcat, did you lick the red off of somebody's candy?
I wonder if the great Investors Flub debate from yesterday does anything to the pps. At this point, my guess is no.
Fun stuff to read. Keep it coming folks.
Considering the size of the sales thus far, I would have to say Warren Buffet must now have an interest in SIRG.
I also made the decision to "invest" in SIRG and plan to hang around for as long as it takes. Although nothing in the market is guaranteed, when one considers the assets SIRG has, the decent management team, world politics as it relates to mining in general, China gobbling up all the metals it can, and the national and world economy, it could be that SIRG is about as sure fire a thing as we will find in the market today. There are all sorts of "pennies" out there to "play" with including SIRG but to me, "investing" in this stock makes sense.
Great piece of music for the El Banco theme song Mesa. Cohen has been one of favoites for 40 years now. Oops, I'm giving away my age.
Great post Mesa. It could be that we are closer to a settlement than any of us realize. Although I wouldn't be surprized to see this thing drag on for another year or more the strange trading activity we have seen in the last few days does make one think that something might be happening.
I stand corrected josey. Thank you for setting me straight. I would have swore people were in pennies for a possible huge pay off.
Looks like a squat sale to me too Imcat. Either that or someone is just a bit whacky between the ears.
Very true etown1. For that reason also.
tebrew, it is my guess that many play penny stocks because pennies is all they have and at this time of year they need those pennies in their pockets.
A very interesting two days of selling we have witnessed. I personally hope these low prices continue for a while to come.
I agree with you 100% Mesa. This will go green soon and in a very big way for all of us who have a little bit of patience. Hang in there guys. Our day is coming!!!
I never whine, my wife would probably disagree, and my gout and other arthritis problems won't let me do much cheer leading. I'll just sit and twiddle.
Having just bought 150000 shares of SIRG, I guess it is ok for me to take a seat and twiddle my thumbs with the reat of you wonderful souls.
I just picked up a great Christmas gift for myself! 5000 more very cheap shares of El Banco. This is a gift that will grow massively over the next few months to a year.
A lot of trading took place today. Did a bee bite a lot of investors on the butt or what?
My guess is this stock will be a lot closer to .04 than it will be to .40 come next week.
Great work Deadmau5! TY very much
I doubt this "hospital" gives us any good news today and I also doubt Old Doc Judge Amy works on Thanksgiving day. That being said, I wish you all a great Turkey Day and it is my prayer that our Lord will bless each of you richly. Cya all in the "waitin' room" on Friday.
Congrats on the twins too Mesa. That's gotta be awesome!!!
TY Mesa
Holding El Banco is like being in a waiting room at a hospital. Each of us is anticipating, either patiently or impatiently, the hatching off of a new son, daughter, or grandthing.
WARNING TO ALL INVESTORS! This little pond seems to be full of sharks. Think long and very hard before even putting a toe in the water. In addition to the usual sharpe teeth all sharks come armed with, these particular sharks come equipped with huge vacuum cleaners that they will use to "hoover" every last copper coin you have from your pockets.
Yes, I know the posts they put out for our "benefit" are very alluring but be sure to read them at least twice. They are written well but really don't say a thing. After reading the post then check the posting history of the poster. Most have been at this for years and if you then check on the companies they were touting back then you will find that in case after case the company's stock now trades at the .0001 level if it trades at all.
Go ahead and put money in this stock if you must but it won't be long at all before you will be asking a fellow HPGS poster, "Do you think the company will be putting out PR soon?" Sitting around and hoping for the dead to rise is all you will have left when the crash comes and your money is gone.
$3.00 not too far away.
