ajcmstocks,
thanks for the post. I like it very much. I am actually going to setup a practice portfolio to try out some of these techniques. Once I get a good feel, I may expose some of my portfolio to them.
Cheers!
-faz
nlightn,
Thanks for that. Very well explained.
-faz
nlightn,
Just curious...what are your thoughts on mid- to long-term outlook on this? I have never been very good with short term indicators and rather go on fundamentals which is why I did not sell at the top there. I think this has room to go to .05-.10 within 6 months to a year.
-faz
6S4L,
I snagged 300,000 myself at the .009 ask. Unreal, I didn't think we were going to see that level again today.
-faz
Lots of activity all of a sudden.
-faz
Also, to follow up.
The header on the well logs has Russel Industries listed as the company, however, the title of the logs is
Gamma-Res-Sp
Uranium Energy Corp
This is different than the Cache claims that were logged by the same company. Two different people did the data acquisition, but the log headers should be similar.
Oh well, I am sure Berman doesn't even know what he is looking at anyway. I wonder if he even knows what gamma ray technology is. Does he even know how Century measures this value and why he is presented with a log in CPS?
-faz
Not sure if this slipped under the radar, but just saw it on my ever more infrequent trips to the website:
Nov 19, 2007: Russell Industries releases first seven Rage Claims Drill Logs
CEO Rick Berman released drilling details of last weeks' drilling at the Rage Claims. He added the following report:-
Russell Industries has a permit to drill 27 holes. Seven holes were drilled and logged last week. The permit states we need to reclaim what we have drilled, which will be done this week. We will leave the surety intact and will revisit the drilling again in the Spring, when the weather is better.
There was no uranium at the depth these seven holes were logged, which is disappointing but the company remains upbeat about moving forward.
http://www.ru308.com/2007_11_19_news.asp
Depths of the holes drilled:
Rage Claim report 1: 50 ft (logged to 49.60 ft)
Rage Claim report 8: 220 ft (logged to 165.1 ft)
Rage Claim report 9: 84.50 ft (logged to 84.50 ft)
Rage Claim report 16: 117.2 ft (logged to 117.20 ft)
Rage Claim report 19: 220 ft (logged to 167.10 ft)
Rage Claim report 21: 220 ft (logged to 155.60 ft)
Rage Claim report 22: 220 ft (logged to 143.30 ft)
Now, the logged depths listed in bold would indicate that the logging was done much later than the drilling, thus the bore hole experienced cave-ins.
I am also very curious as to the depths of the holes. I thought it was determined by previous drilling, logging and sample analysis, that drilling would need to go deeper. I fail to see what the benefit of drilling and logging a 50ft hole is. To me, that seems to be a waste of money. If it were a test hole, then why not drill it to 50 ft and then log it before continuing on to drill other wells. Also, why 84.5 ft drill hole? Why drill a hole to 117.2 ft? The only thing I can think of is that they ran into difficulty drilling, ran out of water, ran out of diesel or something to that effect. I could buy any of those reasons, but why in the world would you log them? Why waste the time and money?
Also, the numbers on the holes are interesting. Why would you not just begin drilling the wells and label them 1-7? They are not sequential and would leave one to believe that Berman actually has a strategy laid out for drilling the holes. This is either Berman doing something intelligent for a change regarding operations or it is a sneaky move to make investors think he is smart.
Lastly, looks like we are not going to see any further drilling until next spring. That is probably the most honest statement that Berman has put out...I think I actually believe him when he says this. What else does the statement about delaying drilling until next spring tell me? Tells me that we should very much expect a R/S in Q1 of next year which Berman will use to justify the drill campaign for the spring.
Wouldn't it be nice if Berman just laid out a plan for us? Maybe giving us a good time line, budget, target depths and locations of holes, and justification for the actions? Sure would, but not holding my breath.
On a lighter note, I have been investing into SRSR.PK. I would suggest everyone has a look and do some DD. I put the money that I got from selling 50% of my RSDS shares at .0005 into this and I am loving the results. There is a lot of upside as a new CEO, Scott Keevil, is coming on board on December 1st, they continue to make acquisitions, they are into gold, uranium, platinum, palladium, and completely opposite of RSDS, they just reduced the A/S by 100 million shares today.
Hope everyone is having a great day!
-faz
Slow day...just checked in to see how things were going. Sure doesn't take much to move the PPS. Wonder if it is going to trade like this until next week when Scott takes the helm.
Have a great day!
-faz
That is the part that caught my eye too. Good PR all the way around.

1 million just went through at .008!!!
MM's not wanting this thing to run just IMO.
Holding strong!
-faz
All good. I can't imagine the PPS staying at these levels for very long. Bummer, I don't have any funds to throw in right now and I think we will move higher before the end of month when I will.
-faz
Nice list. I guess we are going to start to see some consolidation in the oilfield services industry more and more. I like DPDW and I think future is bright!

Thoughts?
Schlumberger today increased holding in Framo Engineering.
HOUSTON, November 20, 2007 - Schlumberger (NYSE:SLB) announced today that it has acquired an additional 5.5% in Framo Engineering AS ("Framo") to take its holding to a majority 52.75%. Frank Mohn AS, which has been instrumental in the development of Framo to become a world leader within its main product groups, continues to hold the remaining shares. Framo is a Norwegian-based company providing multiphase booster pumps, flow metering equipment and swivel stack systems.
"Framo has long demonstrated its capacity to innovate and has now become a worldwide leader," said Imran Kizilbash, president, Schlumberger Reservoir Characterization. "We have worked closely with Framo through the 3-PHASE Measurements joint venture and our increased stake will allow us to strengthen our cooperation in the subsea technology field."
"Since 1983, we have developed unmatched technologies and experience in the subsea multiphase pumping business," added Ole G. Steine, managing director of Framo. "We see this move by Schlumberger as recognition of the high-quality solutions developed by Framo, and an opportunity for our dedicated team to continue and expand our market exposure."
Schlumberger will begin consolidating the results of Framo in the first quarter of 2008.

Also, just recently, they have bought a majority interest in Eastern Echo, a seismic acquisition company.
http://newsroom.slb.com/press/newsroom/index.cfm?prid=21027
Schlumberger continues to buy up smaller companies and I am wondering if they would have an eye on Deep Down?
Chart is looking amazing! Great run today!!!

Big time glitch I think. I noticed it with DPDW first and then looked at my other portfolios. The holdings value is correct, but the daily change is not.
Yahoo! must be going through some changes on their servers or something.
-faz
Yahoo! has gone mental!
Here is what my screen shows...anyone else?
-faz
Looking back at the Pr's, it seems that the logging on the cache claims came before the core samples were sent to the lab.
"Layne Berman and Tony Brandt representing Russell Industries, Inc. (Pink Sheets:RSDS) report that on August 29, an independent uranium drill logging company contracted by the company began the initial step in the process of quantification on the first ten holes drilled on its Cache claims in Utah’s Lisbon Valley.
Using Gamma technology, the preliminary results indicate that certain quantities of uranium were indeed found. To confirm these findings using alternate methodology, core samples taken from the tailings of the drilled holes are being sent to an independent laboratory for assay. Preliminary field analysis of these tailings indicates such mineralization as to suggest a reasonable probability that uranium is present in the area. "
In my head, this is the logical way to approach this. Why waste money and time in coring, if the logs come back indicating little or no evidence of uranium.
-faz
I would question which needs to come first. I would think it would be easier and more cost effective to log the wells firs and then take the core samples.
If that is the case, then maybe they will get around to it.
Just my thoughts.
-faz
Guys,
There has been some pictures of logging of the Rage claims posted to the website:
http://www.ru308.com/photos_2007_11_18.asp

Well, the best part is that his recognition of those fact is immaterial and quite simply, I just don't care. I am capable of forming my own opinions and I have no intention of forcing my beliefs on anyone. Some people would rather be wrapped in the warm blanket of ignorance rather than face reality.
All good.
On another note. I have noticed that the bid is back to .0001. I have had a test sell of 5 million of my .0001 shares I picked up a while ago at .0002...still no bites.
Anyway, I am looking forward to the PR that indicates that no NI 43-101 report will be completed by Q4, 2007. I have a feeling the official statement will blame operational reasons and that we will not see it until the summer of 2008. This by the way is my OPINION and based on my view that Berman and his company are "disreputable."
Loving the action on SRSR.PK today. I have also been accumulating DPDW in the 1.30's. Those are two companies that I feel are reputable. (again my opinion)
-faz
Dak,
Give it up, it is a lost cause. Not worth pursuing this any longer. Aware is obviously biased towards the company and righty so. He is in a professional business relationship with Berman and if he started bad mouthing him, that relationship would be put into jeopardy. Can't fault a guy for that.
Don't worry, as long as Aware tows the company line and keeps Berman happy, we should see a few more million shares burned in order to pay Aware for services rendered. In fact, Aware is probably the only one on iHub who has benefited from the constant dilution that Berman continues to do to RSDS.
-faz
True, but this statement does:
"As you are likely aware, they are being watched more closely than we would have otherwise done with a reputable operator."
Guess that is all you have huh? Please provide some evidence that would indicate that Berman and RSDS are "reputable"? I can provide you with more than enough that would cast a shadow over the "reputation" of this company.
He was given the benefit of the doubt longer ago, however he used up whatever goodwill the investors in this forum had given him.
-faz
Berman is in no way reputable. If he was, he would have explained himself by now.
Plain and simple, Berman lacks honor and now confidence in his reputation and that of RSDS has come into question outside the walls of this forum.
Aware,
why are you parsing all of this? Do you know something that we don't?
-faz
Reputable:
Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1)
rep·u·ta·ble [rep-yuh-tuh-buhl]
–adjective
1. held in good repute; honorable; respectable; estimable: a reputable organization.
2. considered to be good or acceptable usage; standard: reputable speech.
Having a good reputation; honorable.
Seems pretty clear what reputable means.
-faz
Fox News?? What the heck does that have to do with anything?
Aware,
I understand there is a bias to most of the stuff presented here, however, you have to admit that it is to be expected. Everyone here is in desperate need of "RAW" data to be able to form our own opinions. Unless Righty has altered those emails, I am not sure how much more, unfiltered, undigested data you can get. I believe the authenticity of those emails and it explains a lot. We seem to get more answers to our questions by doing our own DD, than the CEO has released to his shareholders.
Look, this board is a forum for discussion of RSDS. Right now, that forum is producing evidence that has gone unchallenged or can not be refuted by anything the CEO is releasing. That is his fault, not this board. If you want serious spin, have a look at the PR's that Berman has recently released, now that filtered and lacking in any concrete information.
Do you have any information that is "RAW" data that you can present that refutes any of this? Do I like what this data says, not really, it is killing my odds of getting any money back on this investment. However, we should not run from information like this but rather use it to hold the CEO's feet to the fire.

Sarissa Resources, Inc. CEO Discusses Company Future in WallSt.net Interview
BAY CITY, MI, Apr 24, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Sarissa Resources, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SRSR) is pleased to announce that CEO Ben Fuschino has outlined the Company's milestones and goals in an interview with WallSt.net. He focused on the potential value of the company's two mining properties in northern Ontario, Canada, for their copper, uranium, nickel, diamond and gold potential.
When asked about the potential success for the Company and its investors, Mr. Fuschino pointed to rising commodities prices and how the mining of minerals, particularly uranium, bodes well for potential profit. He stated that Sarissa's St. Nicholas and Deadmoose properties also show "great possibilities" for gold, nickel, copper, diamonds and platinum.
"The more the world develops the more demand there is, and we're trying to get away from fossil fuels to generate electricity. Uranium is controversial, but at the same time it is a cleaner method than fossil fuels and coal. Our goal is to take advantage of that growth," Mr. Fuschino stated in the interview with financial reporter Casey Rittenhouse.
"We feel we have a very strong growth potential in the next quarter given the properties that we're looking at and some others we're investigating. The trend for mineral pricing is expected to keep increasing. As development happens we are going to be exploiting that aspect and that is what's going to drive our commodity leverage and, ultimately, our share price," the Sarissa Resources, Inc. CEO remarked.
The interview can be heard at the following link: http://wallst.net/audio/audio.asp?ticker=SRSR&id=3295.
From the Sarissa press page on the website:

Yep, I am looking forward to it. I like the quote from the current CEO:
"We feel we have a very strong growth potential in the next quarter given the properties that we're looking at and some others we're investigating. The trend for mineral pricing is expected to keep increasing. As development happens we are going to be exploiting that aspect and that is what's going to drive our commodity leverage and, ultimately, our share price," the Sarissa Resources, Inc. CEO remarked.
With Mr. Keevil's experience, we should realize the goal set out above.
-faz
Agreed...well, I am doubling down big and bought up the 1.39's. Can you believe we are in the 1.30's? There is no way that today's drop was justified. Great long term hold potential for this company.
-faz
Hey guys, how goes it? Been watching this one since .0002 but missed the quick run to .006 level. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to acquire shares in the .003 to .004 range and I have a feeling there is going to be good things to come.
GLTA!!!
-faz
Anyone have their eye on SRSR.PK?
I have been watching this company since the .0002 levels and they have made some amzing acquisitions as of late. The PPS ran from .0002 to .0066 and is no consolidating in the .003 to .004 area. They just had a positive PR this morning:
BAY CITY, MI--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 15, 2007 -- Sarissa Resources, Inc. (Other OTC:SRSR.PK - News) is pleased to announce that it has acquired a Uranium/Copper mineral property in the Elliot Lake Camp in Albanel Township, situated in Northern Ontario. This property represents approximately 480 acres of land. The property is along an identified trend. Ben Fuschino, CEO, comments, "This property seems to be the last available piece of mining land available in this established uranium/copper/gold trend, and we, at Sarissa, are very lucky to have acquired this piece of land. This will be my last acquisition before Scott Keevil takes over the CEO position on December 1."
Now that they have a seasoned CEO in there, this company has potential with Uranium and Copper.
Have a look.
-faz
Yep, SRSR has great potential. The just had a PR this morning indicating the purchase of 480 additional acres:
"BAY CITY, MI--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 15, 2007 -- Sarissa Resources, Inc. (Other OTC:SRSR.PK - News) is pleased to announce that it has acquired a Uranium/Copper mineral property in the Elliot Lake Camp in Albanel Township, situated in Northern Ontario. This will be my last acquisition before Scott Keevil takes over the CEO position on December 1."
This company looks like the real deal and they have brought in a CEO that actually has 20 years of experience. I am acquiring shares in the .003 to .004 range and have a feeling that this could be into the pennies sooner rather than later.
-faz
Think we will get a PR on this? I can't imagine why berman wouldn't, he doesn't have to worry about the PPS going any lower.
-faz
Another 62 million sold at .0001
When is it going to end!!!!
