$37,500... but who's counting...:)
For half of that amount, I bet I could use an extra vault...or two...
OK DiggR
10 Million? Hope I have room in the vault! - LOL
you wrote: "I don't think Netman could stand the excitement of a PPS of $50 right now."
Only $3.26 to go now until a Vegas Party!
As I mentioned prior, I am content to wait until at least $3 before we start dancing the happy dance. I think it's great that we are trending up again, yet we do have a ways to go to really celebrate, and 'we' (most of us) Will Party later at $5 bucks!
As far as franchises, I would like to believe we are close to the start of those announcements. uWink has always said (if you read the SEC docs) they are "focusing on MULTIPLE-UNIT area development agreements", so I would not be surprised to see a multiple announcement as either the first PR or as one to follow the first franchise announcement. Either way, I am sure we will all be happy campers!
"Our longer term growth strategy is to open additional company-owned and/or company-managed restaurants in NEW markets and to franchise our concept, focusing on MULTIPLE-UNIT area development agreements with experienced operators. We are targeting a mix of one-third company-owned restaurants and two-thirds franchised restaurants. We expect we will also seek to generate additional revenue through the sale of media equipment to franchisees."
I do not share some posters concerns about financing, uWink has said they are seeking it, and I see no reasonable reason (with all that they have going for them now) that they will have any real problem obtaining what they will need for the purposes they have already stated (in sec docs).
FWIW: Going Forward...I would sure like to see the touchy tone disappear that keeps popping up on this board from time to time. It is getting tiresome, and serves no useful purpose (But..I do not like being randomly attacked anymore then anyone else). We should all be in this together, helping each other by sharing information and related news, as we may find it. Sharing and receiving uWink info has always been my purpose here...I would hate to see this board degenerate towards Yahoo boards mentality. I left those boards behind because of the way IHub is managed, yet it is people that make a board worthwhile, not it's management nor moderators having to referee. This is not to say we can not disagree and discuss points, but it would be nice not to have to feel one must defend themselves against unwarranted accusations (such as "paid promoter") from here on out. Let's try to get back to sharing uWink information without all the aggravation...
Thanks rpt for those thoughts, the hussy is an odd duckling that has too much pent up anger to ever become a swan someday…his cumulative posts are a constant contradiction of his own ever changing posted feelings about uWink.
First he loves uWink, but then he really needs instant gratification.
Then he is out, but now he is in, but still needs instant gratification.
And what the heck is his beef with me…way back he asks to be a silent partner with me in a uWink place later on perhaps (although I’ve never proposed buying a uWink?), then this year he calls me a “paid promoter” (lol), and now he gets annoyed at Anything I may post about uWink, or annoyed at Anyone that posts to me, or responds to me. What the heck is the problem? - He can’t possibly be experiencing something like shares envy? as he Had 200K shares himself (didn’t he?), as he himself has said…
His First Post on our UWNK board was 9/27/2006
His Post implied that he had Just discovered that uWink even existed!
10/2/2006: Post #2157 “it takes some time to build a position here”
10/9/2006: Post #2602 “200k shares here”
So… from 9/27/2006 to 10/9/2006 he acquired all those 200,000 shares that he once claimed?
Then he later implied he sold those 200K shares (and made money), and has recently posted he bought 30,000 and then 5000 shares. So now he holds 35K instead of 200K? and… is still apparently angry when it only goes up like the 20 cent rise we have had recently…again with the big rise instant gratification need…and the obvious annoyance that uWink is not yet a global corporation with numerous franchises…lol!
Guess I will be told soon enough what his beef with me is (it beats me?), either way I am not inviting him to the Vegas Party! – No whiners please! - It’s a Party, not a whinefest. FWIW: I always find it informative to Consider reading and digesting an ID’s past posts, before Considering their next one…past posts speak volumes…
Again…It really does Not Matter how many shares Each of us have here, as I clearly believe (IMO) we are All going to profit well on our own individual amounts.
It’s really all about the Profit Percentages we may make, Not how many shares each of us can afford, or are comfortable with holding for awhile…
I say Good Luck to everyone here…even hussy…
Please hold those grats until $3+...:)

Westfield Loves uWink!
June 7th, 2007
Here’s a quote from Westfield, our landlord in Woodland Hills, that appeared in an article in Retailing Today.
But if all landlords greet uWink as positively as Westfield Promenade’s management did, bizarre locations will not be necessary. “In addition to being a great dining option, uWink’s media-based experience is a draw in itself,” said Sarah Richardson, Westfield Promenade’s marketing director. “Crowds have loved it.” The surrounding tenants, too, are pleased to have such a novel neighbor, Richardson says, and they frequent the bistro themselves, occasionally even holding parties there. “The atmosphere caters to people of all ages,” she said, “and due to uWink’s ability to easily tailor games to suit any environment, the restaurant would be beneficial in every type of shopping center.”

Actually I Buy Going Up - Not Down
As I bought 144,000 UWNK going up!
I just added 56,000 as it floated about.
Just FYI regarding your prior post to me.

"As posted, Out 3/14 - wish you all the best, however, judging by the majority mood change Since the price decline Began, and the current PPS, wishing will not help this…
Had tried a number of times to suggest (without any bashing of the stock) this was, and is going to be a temp trading stock, but I could not get through the Hype Here. My last post on this board – Good Luck!"
uWink...uWait...uWin!
And with all his posted views in mind...how come you have not sold ALL of your holdings to buy uwnk back at a higher price later on...when ALL is Known about Everything...by Everyone!
Were you not paying attention to the latest parade of thoughts?
Rawnoc - Remember... he sold half his uwnk holdings (5000) to buy an obscure stock...Now he just parades his thoughts about buying uwnk again, but not until after, of course, ALL is known, and All is Secured (it's amazing how some must have it all laid out for them before thay can click a mouse with money involved).
He also claims to be retired as of 1999 with many multi-millions made, yet had to sell 5000 uwnk shares (one-half his self proclaimed holdings) to buy another play [ wonder how that worked out...:) ]. In a later post he has claimed to be fully out of uWink shares now.
Perhaps he will feel 'safe' and snugly spending a little actual cash once UWNK is between $3-$5 a share, but somehow I suspect there will just be a further expansion announcement Required then... before he would buy then, and so he will just watch those of us with shares, and parade his new uwnk thoughts as it climbs higher...
Just IMO - not a price prediction - LOL!
Sometimes it's really hard to read peoples latest posts without laughing! It's as if they themselves have forgotton what they have posted prior, yet we are to pay attention to just what they are posting now...LOL! - I will say it again, a posters posting history speaks volumes about their true intentions.
BTW: No Naughty Bits from me - it's All There in their own posts!
Welcome Back from Oblivion Brian!
Thou shalt keep those naughty thoughts in your harbour! - LOL!
Congrats Digger!
Hence the name uWink - Nolan always says... that to ask to buy a girl a drink is interpreted as hitting on her, however, asking her to play a game is (a nice approach to) casual social interaction (the drinks flow soon enough).
And of course woman will feel more like asking men to play a game, then what are they drinking? (to offer to buy them a drink). Nolan pondered in an interview as to how many married later on... after sharing one of his video games as their introduction.
"The centerpiece of our entertainment offering is our library of casual, “social” games aimed at people of all ages, including women, ages 21-35, a historically neglected, but growing and important, segment of the video game market."
"aimed at people of all ages, including women..."

37 Baby - For those interested in franchising, we are currently able to offer franchises in 37 States and territories (listed below). As we begin our franchise operations in the United States, we are also proceeding with the registration process for international franchise opportunities.

Have you guys and gals considered that while holding out NOW for 5 or 10 cents less, that IF SAY a Franchise announcement or announcements are announced this June (a time frame mentioned just for discussion sake, of course…), that you may be only wishing you had bought your shares around the current ask price?
Of course it’s everyone’s own business what they are willing to pay now for UWNK shares, it just makes one wonder when considering all the future potential of uWink, or the future FMV of UWNK, why some here are hoping Now for yet a further bottom fishing opportunity…then the one that is already in front of them…
Where we are going, is much more important to me, then where we have been…

Where we are going, is much more important to me, then where we have been…
Netman Note: I try to base my own trading decisions on my own DD, research, evaluation, constant re-evaluation, insight and observations. Current UWNK trading action is STILL reflecting short-term price action trading in the overall scheme of things (try to think longer intervals with stock reactions with perspective to the company results and company / products / franchise potential). I believe most of the true FMV of this diverse company has Yet to be priced in.
Of course, everyone else has to do their own DD, and then draw and constantly evaluate their own conclusions and then place their own bets accordingly. All just IMO (not advice / none given), we all make (and live with) our own investment and/or trading choices. I Wish You All the best in your own investment and/or trading decisions, I've obviously made mine...

uWink...uWait...uWin...
Good Morning! uWinkers!
Initially, the concept sounds like something that may have appeared on The Jetsons, the cartoon about a "typical" family living 100 years in the future. It could have even appeared in the second installment in the Back to the Future trilogy, where Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel "far ahead" to the year 2015 (remember, the movie was set in 1985 when 2015 was the future!). While we may not have flying cars (yet), it's likely Doc would be excited about Nolan Bushnell's innovative dining experience, the uWink restaurant in Woodland Hills, California.
uWink is the latest innovation from Nolan Bushnell, founder and former CEO of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese. At uWink, Bushnell has successfully made obsolete one of the core components of dining out: servers. While there are individuals who bring you the food you have ordered, these waiters and waitresses receive this information from the touch-screen ordering system built into each party's table.
Let's break it down a little bit more: Restaurant patrons are led to their table by a uWink hostess (real person here - no robots yet) and provided with a brief introduction to the easy-to-use computerized ordering system. The menu of casual California cuisine is organized in a traditional manner with categories of drinks, appetizers, burgers, salads, entrees, desserts, etc. Each listing includes a picture, list of ingredients, and a customization option. Want cheese on that burger? Dressing on the side of your salad? Substitute fries instead of rice? No problem. For guests who need a little more human contact, a simple tap of the "?" on the screen summons a uWink employee to the table.
The real fun comes after you've placed your order. See, the touch-screen ordering system (which is powered by a Mac mini) is also the source of entertainment. Bushnell and his team have created an array of social networking games that can be played before, during, and after the meal. Word games, memory games, trivia games, and even the classic Truth or Dare game encourage friendly competition, laughter, conversation, and an interactive dining experience at uWink. Additional categories of entertainment allow guests to view movie clips, respond to surveys, play video game versions of foosball and "Pong" (a tribute to Bushnell's popular PONG arcade game), and experience 360 degree views of international historical sites, among other activities. This is only the beginning - expect additional dining entertainment options to grow with uWink's popularity.
Speaking of growth, the company recently announced two new locations at the hip Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, California and at The Promenade at Howard Hughes Center in Los Angeles, California. These hip and trendy locations are likely to promote uWink's popularity among the young adult crowd who are always looking for the newest nightlife attraction.
So give uWink a try. You know you've always wanted to "play with your food."

http://www.nobosh.com/Article/uWink%3A-Bushnell%27s-New-Chuck-E.-Cheese/615/
uWink's well known CEO Nolan Bushnell is joining the board of a company that is likely already (or soon to be) part of his future vision. The board he joins is NeoEdge Networks, which is a creator of the ad-supported MostFun.com Game Network. Having founded and led Atari from inception to sale, Mr. Bushnell certainly has intelligence and wisdom to bring NeoEdge's way. However, knowing uWink's game strategy, we could see this being a nice partnership for mutual benefit as well since our belief is that uWink has a meaningful advertising play underway for its at-table touchscreen entertainment and ordering monitors. By this we mean that uWink is likely to get advertisers outside of the food and beverage realm (such as RedBull, Evian, Stoli Vodka, etc, which are already ad partners of uWink), but extend that into "in-game" advertising for the social games that uWink makes available on its touchscreens.
While tough to directly link this story to something tangible for uWink shareholders today, this is an informal partnership in our opinion, and one that could have meaningful leverage points for both NeoEdge and uWink.
http://t1ra.multiply.com/journal/item/153
The tiny company uWink is finally starting to expand. Since we met with management earlier in 2007, the company is finally starting to be vocal again, which must mean they are close to getting a financing completed. Why do we say this, because the company has issued two press releases in May already about new venues (near LAX and in Hollywood) that are scheduled to open in early 2008.
First, uWink signed an LOI for a location in the Promenade at Howard Hughes Center in LA (3 miles north of LAX off I-405). It was not mentioned how big the uWink location will be within this 250k SqFt maill. The mall is said to have an outdoor oriented design (which matches nicely with the success uWink is having in the original and only location right now in Woodland Hills where they expanded the outdoor seating capability). This announcement noted there being strong national and regional tenants stretching to many surrounding communities and matches their prime demographic in West LA.
Second, uWink signed an LOI for a location in the Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood. This will be 6.5k sqft in the 387k sqft center, which is home to the 3,400 seat Kodak Theater where live broadcasts of the Academy Awards and other award shows are held. The center gets 18mn visitors per year and is considered a must see for international visitors and since it is the epicenter of hollywood it matches their demographic.
UWNK shares have soared since the start of May and are hence in an overbought condition now after having been extremely oversold two months ago when it flirted with $1.00. We see a chance for the stock to run to $2.00/share on this move, but for any weakness to be curbed at $1.30-1.40. We maintain that each location is likely worth $0.25/share to the stock, but with each one adding a little bit more for the benefits of scale. Hence, with three locations now announced, the stock should be able to be worth north of $0.75/share based on the should be free cash flows of each location. This is still a buy at your own risk type of stock, but one that I continue to believe is one of the best long-term opportunities on a percentage gain basis.

Have never had any problem emailing Alissa or Nancy Nino or anyone else at uWink. Although I rarely do so, I always get a fast response every time...
BAMF624 - Please PM me between 4-5pm today with your email address, and I will send you my yahoo email address later on.
Besides my regular $$$ job, I also own / run a web site design company (for about 12 years now), and do not wish to post my yahoo email or any of my company / personal email addresses... as I already get over 250 spam messages a day.
Posting such here, would only magnify the crap messages as not everyone that plays here...are Really Invested in UWNK Stock (IMO).
btw: Thank God for Norton Internet Security and his Anti-Spam subroutine, or I would never get outside to ride the ZR to the local Tiki Bar in the sunshine!
PKG - If you read the credit given below the "report", you should realize I did not write this information (it's a copy / paste of the relative info from an article). It is From ICSC - May 2007 - Shopping Centers Today.
We have all learned the drill over a lifetime of dining out. We are greeted and seated, then a member of the wait staff takes our drink order and, over the next 15 minutes or so, our appetizer and entrée selections as well. During the downtime, we engage in stirring conversation with our companions. The meal comes; we enjoy it (or not), then we either opt for dessert and regret the extra calories or decline it and regret the lack of indulgence. Finally, after wrapping up any lingering topics of discussion, we pay the check and leave.
This system has worked well for years and years. And it is one that Nolan Bushnell has overthrown with the opening of his uWink Bistro. But revolutionary ideas are nothing new to Bushnell. In 1971 he helped found video game company Atari, which he then built into an $800 million empire during his tenure as CEO. In 1977 he founded the Chuck E. Cheese’s chain of family restaurants, of which he was CEO until 1983, when the chain’s sales reached $350 million.
When Bushnell conceived uWink in 2000, his intention was not necessarily to buck the conventions of the restaurant industry. He just wanted an outlet for his fascination with group games and figured an entertainment-themed restaurant was the best avenue to explore, he says. By 2005 he was moving full speed ahead with the concept, which wound up in the Westfield Promenade, in Woodland Hills, Calif. Last October uWink officially seated its first customers.
What those initial diners found was a restaurant with no traditional wait staff. Instead, after being seated, patrons use a touch-screen monitor at their table to navigate the menu and place an order, which is transmitted to the kitchen, prepared and then delivered by food runners. The downtime before or after the meal can be used to play any of a large assortment of multiplayer video games, to take a virtual wine tour or to watch movies, all on that same monitor. Afterward diners bring an access card that has recorded the activities to the host stand to settle up. The entire experience occurs at a pace dictated entirely by the consumer. “The response has been off the charts,” said Bushnell.
“For one, people say the food is outstanding,” he said. “Secondly, they love how fast it’s brought to the table. I’ve seen people who are shocked when a drink arrives within a minute of them entering the order. Additionally, everyone has fun with the experience. And finally, the aesthetics. We’re trying to provide a package deal of entertainment, right down to projected videos on the walls. It’s all part of the ambience, and it’s all flexible — we can change the atmosphere with the push of a button.”
In 2002 uWink bought out a Utah-based, publicly traded company in a transaction called a backdoor listing or reverse takeover. By taking the place of that company (now a shell) on the exchange and changing the ticker symbol, uWink went public and yet avoided the complications of executing its own initial public offering.
Bushnell would not disclose yearly sales figures at this time, and the company is not required to do so until late this summer. But a corporate letter sent to uWink stockholders in February does reveal some data. “Since we opened the doors to our prototype restaurant in Woodland Hills, Calif., on October 16, 2006,” the letter reads, “our monthly revenues have grown steadily from $30,000 in October to $87,000 in November to $161,000 in December to $185,000 in January ’07. With little promotion, we are currently serving approximately 3,000-3,500 guests per week in Woodland Hills, and these guests are playing between 50,000 and 60,000 games per week on our terminals.”
Now, the company having landed firmly in the black so soon after the launch, Bushnell says he has his foot heavily on the accelerator, with plans to open a minimum of six new uWink restaurants this year. Initially, expansion is to take place on the West Coast, though the company is not averse to expanding eastward and then internationally.
The aim is to maintain a ratio of two franchised stores for every company-owned one. Franchise fees will be $50,000 for a first uWink store and $40,000 for each additional unit. Included with the franchise license will be all the technology and the startup support. Bushnell says the company is looking for people who understand restaurants, not necessarily the technology.
Bushnell estimates that the cost to build uWink’s 5,400-square-foot Woodland Hills store was $800,000, with about “$200,000 in mistakes.” The square footage is way too small, he says. “We’ve experienced significant wait times,” he said. “A proper size would be anywhere from 6,500 to 10,000 square feet, with 8,000 right around optimum. What’s nice is that it’s a flexible concept that can fit into bizarre locations.”

I will say it again, a posters posting history speaks volumes about their true intentions.
Hmmmm...Did you buy those few thousand shares AFTER or BEFORE you posted your first post on this board on 3/16/2007 10:55:11 AM Post #9824
"I find the Uwink concept interesting. However, the franchise startup costs and liquid capital requirements are pretty high - especially high for an unproven company with very little sales history. I know of a few people shying away from their initial interest on the East coast due to these factors alone."
Or perhaps you bought them after yours and your wife's sad experience per Post Date: 5/16/2007 4:12:22 PM Post #11774
Or did you you just buy them today after your Next post here (which was today 5/31/2007 at 10:30:05 AM Post# 12020).
Somehow...it is just hard for anyone to believe the 'concept' you are now long "albeit only a few thousand shares" by reading your very own comments on the uwnk boards posting history. Surely you did not actually 'Buy' UWNK stock, after clearly stating how you really feel about uWink.
AND BTW SIR
"While not a woman who normally doesn't play games, I'm not that far out of the demographic." Since you are a man, Yes! you are OUT of the uWink demographic as it is defined as 21-35 year old woman, not 39+ men turning 40 this year.
After reading all of todays posts Rawnoc I am convinced that you must know nothing at all about uWink. I just cannot imagine why you bought the stock early on, and started this board, and also continue to post info here...I would call you a 'Twit', but people get banned for name calling here (except for the strange behavior guy that once called me a uWink paid promoter - LoL!).
Personally I think Surface will equate to a 2010 Etch-A-Sketch
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etch_A_Sketch
It will have it's fair share of popularity and will then fade away... as a new restaurant comes along where everyone orders all their food on their new 2009 cell phones, while they play only uWink phone games that were developed specifically for these new phones (no screens at all-just long tables w/roulette wheels in them).
Since I also think Surface is not worth discussing further, I too must not know much about uWink/it's concept, and should really consider selling at least 1/2 of my 200K holdings like the 5,000 shares the proclaimed retired millionaire PKG did... to buy some obscure idea with the proceeds.
BTW - I sure hope you mean 'older generation' like 70's+, as I (at 52) live in a 24/7 digital world, and still like loud rock music, live bands, nightclubs, fast cars, and a good party!
uWink...uWait...uWin...
That is an excellent idea they would consider.
Please email your posted idea for consideration to:
