Hmmmm....prolly
not a very good ROI, after all.
No doubt!
It would prob.require a pretty "stealthy" boat.
John Coltrane - Good Bait
Cap, there seems to be
a burgeoning after market for parts & pieces of that
balloon the wound up in the Atlantic in ONLY 40 ft of water.
No guarantees, but if you known any enterprising fishermen hoping to improve
their after hours income, get the word out. Would ya?
Merle Haggard - Okie From Muscogee
Happy Birthday, amigo!
With Andy Williams
as the option, it turned out to be a very wise choice, cap.
Marvin Gaye - National Anthem

......nor mine;
props to the choreographer, though.
As assumed, it was a great game!
Take a chance; go
with the over.
.....it was a rider
to the contract. She only sang half the show from what I saw.
Typically great pre recording.
Oh oh......red shoes, hope
I'm not too late!
I got a call into Barbados, cappy;
I'll let you know right at half time.
Typically there might have been a difference
in the line from one city to another. That was before public
information about "the line" was made "national."
In particular the city from which a team was playing
might have as much as a point or more difference from
the line in Vegas, This is where the sharpies cleaned up,
by laying off their action via telephone in Vegas. It was
thus possible to win on both sides of the bet.
Oh shit!
One thing to remember about The Super Bowl, Myth.
The folks who bet on it and never on anything else,
are the same amateurs who party in night clubs,on New Years Eve.
There are some cold blooded bookie types out there who
prey on these kind of mopers. In Vegas they're abundant,
but they exist everywhere.
They remind me of the Paul Newman character (fast
Eddie) in The Hustler.
Not far from the truth cap.......
I'm just south of Phoenix, across the border in Nogales,
gettin' some dental work done!
The whole MH network agrees for a change, about
today's game. Here's a little hint from the fabulous
info available on the 900 today..............
At the end of the day, after all the fireworks, confetti,
high fivin', and endless debate about what Rihanna wore:
A Kelce will wear a ring and a black quarterback will win
in a dramatic and emotional fashion!!!
Oh.........
& it will not be a "push."
Alright!!!
James Booker said it,
not me. He did ride bulls, however.
Angola; a well deserved reputation
for both music & terror.
It's "localized."
I've seen it run the gamut here.
One bold rural fellow who is an associate has
had it 5 times. No shots, no mask, very debilitated the last two times,
has lots of attitudes; say's he's still thinking about getting a booster.
Others such as moi, 5 shots, lots of isolation, pretty vigorous masking.....
minor symptoms.
My man Jesus said "seek not to judge, for as you judge, so shall you be judged."
I fully accept that bit of advice, these days.
Fact is, other than inconvenience,
it wasn't shit. One or two of the boosters were worse,
at least for twenty four hours, it seemed.
Fine, thank you, cappy......
just getting over this "pussy" covid variant that's been going around.
They told me I was the last person in Oregon to get it.
"So I Got That Goin' For Me," I suppose.
Shemekia Copeland - It Don't Hurt No More
I understand.
Yeah, her recordings, made "Rags"
a lot of money!
Writing songs is the ticket to the bank in the music business.
Song writers get paid immediately, while the artists typically get "goosed"
until their production costs are recouped, which rarely happens.
My biggest mentor,
Jerry Ragovoy wrote it, along with a bucket load of other classics.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Ragovoy#Notable_compositions
Janis Joplin was shocked on meeting him in person to discover
he was a white Jewish guy.
Howard Tate - I Learned It All The Hard Way
Many thanks, Larry;
As I think I've mentioned, I spent 2 weeks ONE NIGHT
with those dudes back in the last century!
Typical Motown shenanigans
A good source once told me that they had a roomful of "writers"
who took all the unsolicited cassette tapes, and pillaged ones that
had promise, reworking them to be somewhat original.
Barrett Strong was an insider, who still got screwed out of his
royalties.
He was right. Publishing and writing songs is where the money flows.
Artists got colorful clothes, shoes, and if they were lucky........cars.
More often than not, a good schtuppin!
No. Talented, for sure.
I loved Wildflower, as performed by his group Skylark, however.
Excellent; watched it a hundred times!
One of the best groups ever recorded, IMO.
Plenty of time to do that.
Also pay attention to the pedicurists and the before game meal preppers.
My real education came at Churchill Downs on the strip, as previously mentioned.
Best kosher hot dogs west of Manhattan.
Well, that depends on who is operating it.
It might rain there.......
stranger things have happened when big money is involved.
Given the size of the handle, I assume there will be a half point in the spread.
The "boys" won't allow a push, IMO.
But as in previous contests, I'll have the full inside info from my "sources,"
in Chicago & Brooklyn.
It's not??
As a P.S. to my comments, Tree,
when the game became more dynamic, the athleticism of
black QB's began to outweigh the talent of "traditional" quarterbacks..
Certainly, as the sport accepted their abilities, only the greatest
"pocket" passers such as Brady & Montana could compete with the current crop of guys
like Mahomes & Hurts.
Until I learned better, I simply accepted the stereotypes associated
with that conventional wisdom. "That blacks were soldiers, able only to run fast,
but lacking the intellect to command a team."
Warren Moon started the whole shift away from that way of thinking, IMO.
Similarly, Derick Jeter & the"Splash Brothers" have brought the same understanding to
their respective sports, as well.
In my humble opinion.
a lot of these guys are "over stimulated."
Domestic violence comes with the same territory.
Given my little understanding of the phenomena
it does seem that to be truly successful in a sport like pro
football, where the stakes are enormous, occasionally
a player goes over the top with his decision making.
Congratulation to the Chiefs. Finally the sport has accepted
that you needn't be 100% caucasian to be an intelligent, feared and revered
QB. You have an excellent one there in KC. You too Myth.
#58 is now forever "retired"
from Cincinnati's future roster.
Good games.
I'll be checkin' w. shoeless joe, at the appropriate time
to give you boys the "inside."
What time does the game start?
I'll take the Eagles.
