Fair question but we would need reviewers to state what their bandwidth rate is in relation to their scale of stunningness. I am confident a decent cnet type of review is coming shortly.
Can't speak for others. I've seen uhd and its stunning.
Seems subjectivity is what you're asking for here. My good could be your bad.
Sony says best to download 4k movies "overnight", lol.
From what I've read on the Sony non streaming 4k player and the new one, they are both the sole reason Sony customers are vowing to never buy Sony products again. Great work Sony! First to market fail.
Nice job on last video. Does the M-Go app give you access to more 4K content?
Interesting response from ir regarding Netflix and ultraflix:
>" In addition there are a couple of series from Netflix and YouTube, which will be available through UltraFlix >>as well.” -A. Marken
>>
>>So, is the goal here for Nuvola owners to be able to access Netflix 4K content through the UltraFlix app? -me
"No, the goal is for Netflix to update their Android App to support 4K so that the entire Netflix library in 4K is available. What he states above is that there are some 4K series that will be both on Netflix and UltraFlix."-IR
That's huge.
I would consider this news: http://www.ntek.com/pressreleases/2014-07-16-ultraflix-muse.pdf
That one dude was so pissed, lol!! If you haven't seen 4K UHD in person, don't knock it. If someone tells you your eyes can't tell the difference well, they may as well be talking to a brick wall as millions of 4K tv's fill homes across the world in the next few years.
I don't need more spam email, anyone want to copy and paste the report here?
NTeK looking bullish. Thoughts?
Those who say the differences between HD and uHd are negligible if noticeable at all haven't seen UHD in person. It stops you in your tracks as you mutter something like "oh wow" to yourself.
She looks ready to pop.
Wouldn't it have been easier for you to call sales yourself 2 weeks ago?
To be honest it was a little disconcerting the way you were clicking around and things weren't responding in ultraflix. If you didn't make it to the end, or read your caveat, it may seem negative. I like it because it's real and uncut. Get familiar with controls and post another video, your willingness to share is appreciated.
Ah, the morning short sellers, they never miss. Prove otherwise?
No guessing here, pretty clear what's going on. They are delivering on what they stated in the last shareholders letter.
Lol excellent.
Have you tried the ihub app on the NP-1 yet?
NP-1 Streams YouTube 4K!!! Nice.
Magicdaddy, have you or any other NP-1 owners viewed any YouTube 4k videos yet?
Funny, I've never had issues getting answers directly from multiple individuals at NTEK.
Yes this sounds about right, the direction that billion dollar companies/chipmakers have taken, according to you, is foolish. Mmm hmmm..
Yes, I assume this to be true.
Lol, "entirely focused". 50+ employees working min 40 hour weeks. So what percentage do you think they spend per week monitoring this board and posting out of the 2,000+ hours they are collectively spending per week realizing their business plans? I would say 1 hour a week on iHub sounds reaaalllly high - but lets go with that. .05% of their time on iHub is "entirely focused"?
Mwaaahahahahaa! Too funny.
DangFool, expert eh?
Nah, I think Akamai cares about video quality. I'll go with the validated experts on this one. What are your credentials again?
Akamai-
"Video Quality
With the ubiquity of high-speed internet access and high-resolution media, audiences have come to expect an increasingly high level of video quality from their TV, computer, and smartphone. The entertainment industry, application developers, and video streaming services continue to raise the bar for speed and audio-visual quality in media delivery, and consumers simply learn not to tolerate delays, a poor image, or unpleasant audio.
Why Video Quality Matters to Your Message
Although online video streaming is one of the best marketing and communications tools available today, keeping up with the technology is difficult. While learning how to stream video may be simple, providing consumers with the level of access and video quality they demand from online streaming media is a challenge businesses are now confronting.
Web videos are a fast, high impact way to grab an audience, particularly for ad content. However, poor video quality will not only distract from your message, it can hurt your brand. If a video takes too long to start playing or stutters during playback, viewers will abandon a page and look elsewhere.
Giving Your Audience the Video Quality They Expect
In the case of both on-demand and live video streaming, video quality is significantly limited by network congestion, latency, and packet loss—all of which increase as the distance and number of networks between a media server and the end user increase. Network usage spikes and internet bottlenecks are inevitable. But with the help of a well-equipped online video platform, it is possible for enterprises to better manage the storage and delivery of streaming media and shorten the distance a video stream has to travel before reaching the consumer.
To address network limitations and offer consumers a consistently pleasurable viewing experience, publishers are taking advantage of adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming technology and the infrastructure offered by a content distribution network (CDN). With ABR streaming, video players switch between differing bitrate streams based on current network conditions, enabling fast startup times, reducing buffering delays, and giving users the best video quality possible. CDNs offer content providers the use of a broadly distributed network of servers, helping to ensure that a media stream will originate from a server located closer to the user.
Akamai Helps You Provide Consistently High Video Quality
To provide your audience with the level of performance they expect from online media, why not leverage the capabilities of the world's first and largest CDN? Built on the Akamai Intelligent Platform, our cloud-based Media & Delivery Solutions help you minimize the impact of network problems on video quality and provide your users with a seamless, visually satisfying streaming media experience. 4K UHD Content Grading System
4K Ultra HD refers to the Television industry resolution standard, defining the image size of 3840x2160 pixels. Beyond the resolution, there are many other factors that determine the quality of the image being displayed in 4K Ultra HD. Content is created from a variety of sources, both analog and digital, that are ultimately delivered to your television.
This week we will discuss 4K Studios' proprietary 4K Ultra HD Grading System. This system was devised to indicate to the viewer the source of the material being displayed. There are currently 3 grades of 4K digital media being delivered on UltraFlix, Platinum, Gold and Silver.
4K Platinum. This is material that was shot using a 4K Digital Camera, edited in 4K and rendered in 4K. The image was never analog and was always in 4K digital format.
4K Gold. This is material that was shot on 35mm film using analog cameras. The film was edited and output to 35mm negatives and prints. 4K Studios takes the 35mm film masters and scans them into native 4K Ultra HD resolution digital files. We then have a variety of internal processes to clean up and present the film in the highest quality possible in the market today.
4K Silver. 4K Studios has also developed a proprietary method for taking films that were shot digitally, in HD, 2K, or 2.7K, that were originally authored to DVD or Blu-ray, working with the original master and re-mastering them in 4K producing a far better result than "up scaling" an HD file. The result is a far superior experience in 4K than the consumer would ever get by simply up scaling the Blu-ray or DVD using hardware scaling built into TV's or other devices.

Ultraflix newsletter out
I was told after the 4.4 approval the 10k would be updated at Fremont location, the ones shipped from Foxconn pre-installed. Preorders fulfilled first, followed by Ingram and then retail
I think it'd be a win-win for Netflix to work a deal for their 4K content to be streamed via Ultraflix given all of their issues streaming 4k via HEVC. I don't think it'll be long for producers to see the ease at which the Nuvola NP-1 streams 4K universally versus the debacle that is currently Netflix 4K streaming.
This is strange.
I think you are directing this message to the wrong people (iHub). If ntek said they don't have your info, they don't have your info. Place an order or don't. Let it go..
