With those thoughts in mind...
Let me take crack at doing a draft for the next CEO update....
Hi it's me, Jim. We know that this stuff has taken a long time. The reason is because it takes a long time. We have ongoing discussions and negotiations going on with numerous companies. We can't talk about any of it other than that none of the discussions involve lawnmowers or bicycles.
Thank you for your support and patience.
Understandable for sure...
I've had my moments, but I went into the Torvec investment with a very long term thought process....frankly, this has been longer than I initially thoguht, but i've come to understand the industry a little better and have a better understanding of and a frustration for the lack of speed at which things occur in the auto tech sector, even with the planets all lined up.....
My patience has maintained and evolved, but my beleif in where this going remains intact....also, I'm still alot of fun...LOL
I'm with you Leit...
Until that day comes, I hope people can maintain some sense of humor...
leit..
that was all in fun knowing Trucker and sheriff have the running golf commentary...no harm intended..
Let's see...
Sheriff will have to give you 288 a side....
The problem with the ProV's is...
The paddles keep breaking...
Hi Leit...That same line of thinking has been part of my thinking as well...
My over-simplified guess on how things shake out is that there are two routes that could occur....
1) They commercilaize one or two techs in some fashion (ie-sale, jv, license, bus deal...etc) which leads to a change in valuation in the market and may provide some type of revenue/earnings forecasting off of which the street can better value the stcok...this then allows for a move off of the OTC.BB exchange and onto NASDAQ.....the stock moves into the teens and would then cause an acquiring company to pay the mid-twenties to high twenties type of number I have referred
in my previous guesses..then we as shareholders decide to ride the acquiring company's stock for the upside from fully commercializing TOVC's tech...
2)Some company that recognizes the long term value of Torvec's tech steps in and buys the company pre-commercialization, recognizing that Torvec's tech is essentially ready for production with the obvious final QC tweaks that one would expect pre-production...that acquisition number, in my opinion, would be at a discount compared to the huge number that this stuff is worth fully matured in the production / sales cycles over time...what is that number...??? My hunch is that it's in the high teens to 20 a share if it were to happen today...thats still a $600 million dollar deal..thats not chump change...if the acquirer appears as though they will be the right parent to grow the tech the way we as investors have envisioned it, then we hold on for the unlocking of the techs value over time...
I like both scenarios...neither of which are quick and easy...that is why we are waiting ...the payoff will be very good long term in either scenario...
The company is positioned to go in either direction from what I can see....I like what I see....this $4 still doesnot remotely reflect the value of Torvec, but it is what it is for the moment...
Ultimately, regardless of which route is taken, I believe that a $4 investment in Torvec today matures over the years to a number in the $100 range when all value is unlocked...
We will never run out of ping pong balls at Tor Acres.....

Hi torgo...
" I think strategically, they have basically taken the wrong approach"...........you seem to be in the minority who feel that way. One point I agree with is that I don't feel there will be an offer for the whole company in the $50 per share range either....some may think that but I donot...I also don't think you're suggestion that $10 per share level is the correct level either...I think it's somewhere in between that and then as an investor, we decide wether to hold the acquiring company's shares or sell...good problem to have.....
I am willing to to let it all unfold....and I don't care what order it occurs in...do a deal or two on one or two techs or sell the whole farm...I can make an argument that doing a deal on one or two techs creates some additional share value to base the next stage of the company's commercialization strategy off of...Torvec seems to be in a good place right now and it makes me feel as though the fact that they hadnot already done a deal over the last few years is actually a good thing....they are in a position to do much better deals now for the shareholders than ever before in my opinion...
I'm going to stick around and cheer em on....
When I look at where Torvec has now positioned itself....
I see them in the absolute best strategic positioning to facilitate a large deal for one or two of their technologies or the whole thing...I agree with dread...the last thing I want as a shareholder is to see them at this juncture in time, persuing windmills and lawn mower IVTs...we as shareholders are not going to get what we want from those, high volume, low margin strategies...the sucking sound you would hear if they went in that direction would the vacuum created by investors hitting the exit doors, myself included.
I would much rather wait, than do small deals just to say the company sold something...NASA is a different story in my opinion...when the tech gets validated by one of the most respected engineering groups in the world, that validation is worth alot to Torvec...not in cash from NASA but in validation, respect and turning some heads toward Rochester...
I love where this is heading......
Not sure...
But i think that if someone gifts shares to another individual, the recipient can do whatever they want with them...it's a gift...if you get a toaster as a gift you can make toast with it but you dont have to..LOL
Tax planning isnot my area of expertice but i think shares are gifted typically for tax , estate planning reasons and it can be viewed as a positive indicator...
Zendo....
If you look at the filings for that day you will find that Siconolfi gifted 100,000 shares to someone....
Hi allnumbers...
I am a little confused....are you thinking that Torvec's tech has been hijacked and is in that prototype..? Sorry if I am misunderstanding your thoughts....
welcome back to the hood...
fyi...our gang signs havenot changed during your absence up at the big house......
foshizzel...
Apparently you werenot paying attention...
I said that i felt he should have been warned or spent some time in the jailhouse...my view of the insider trading accusation is that it is worthy of being banned as well...
Also, what I said was that it would not be a surprise to find you and your firm and cxo and brighton securities all dancing together in the same mosh pit....I didn't specify what kind of dancing, but if I were asked to venture a guess it would be dirty dancing...
Question...
Ask Matt if it's ok for dyna to accuse speedway of insider trading on this forum..? Just want to make sure we all know the rules...
So...
If I interperet that correctly, if i were to say "dyna is an idiot"..that would be a personal attack...however if I were to say "dyna's ideas are idiotic"...that would be within the bounds of the debate concept...
Personally, I feel that maybe speedway should have been warned or given a day or two in the slammer, but not banned....
Just tried the whole finger circle bent arm exercise...
Not only did my shoulder vibrate out of socket but also the hairs on my arm spontaneously combusted...very painful...
I think you're on to something...
LOL....
You have so many arguments going you don't know which to address....
I think the word is mis-interpreted....
I don't bet....your photographic memory should have recalled that.. I'm sure you've got power of attorney with both firms...LOL
Nice try dyna...
Dino didn't make any poor remarks about mr. Horton....are you trying to invent a situation that suggests that JG is bad mouthing Mr. Horton...you guys must really be hurting for strategies to stoop to that level...
It wouldn't be a surprise to find you and your firm, CXO and brighton securities all dancing in the same mosh pit...
Enjoy your day....
My opinion....
agrees with your opinion....when you go back to that event where he calls the paper ( think it was the RBJ) and trash talks the company and JG without being asked....makes you wonder that there is some kind of connection...it's almost as if dots are connecting themselves.....
That's an excellent observation Dino....
How painful would that margin call be...? Who in Rochester might facilitate that type of situation...?
Below is from the filing and what a recent poster desrcibed as being insignificant....merely a "pimple"......
"As the result of the Appellate Court’s decision, the company is entitled to rescind the issuance of 40,000 shares of common stock and 245,000 common stock warrants to the management consulting firm. In addition, the company is no longer obligated to honor the approximately 511,200 common stock warrants registered to the management consulting firm during the pendency of the dispute. Finally, the company will no longer be required to maintain a $250,000 escrow with the Monroe County Treasurer."
I wonder if the CXO gang were counting on those shares to pay their legal bills....?
8k just filed...
A few interesting pieces of info caught my attention....
"the Appellate Court stated that the lower Court abused its discretion by refusing to permit the company to amend its complaint to allege fraud in the inducement."
and
" The company intends to pursue its claims against the management consulting firm vigorously."
Greetings.....
Felt the need to comment on this statement from you..."Yes, we won back the shares and warrants from CXO (big deal), but don't forget what the BOD has awarded themselves if an event happens." ..........The BOD gets paid only if they perform....that's the way it should be...and based on the amount of activity they have going at this point, there will be many shareholders happy to reward them for producing an event...your pals from CXO on the other hand were paid millions for building a website(that is a face full of pimples)...getting the 750,000 warrants back is more than a pimple...
I would still like to know where the rest of the shares are that didnot get reported in the last form 5 that the CXO guys put out...there is a huge difference in the number of shares given to them and what was reported in that filing....
And there it is......
Thank you Dino..!
LOL......
Right now I am sitting here in my office wearing a leprechan costume and having an ice cold Harp and raising a toast to the 5 Appellate Judge's and Torvec's legal team...
God Bless America....
Why yes ....I do need a contract written....
I need to hear Dino say it just one more time...come on Dino...
Unanimous reversal.....
Link is down again, but from what I saw quickly appeared to be very decisive in favor of Torvec....
They should see if Al Gore can help them out with a better internet connection....
Hi zendo...
If you got in during the first half of the month on 2004, you're TOVC investment has roughly doubled in value based on current prices...some of us have been in this investment since the beginning, myself included. Based on what we know from the recent shareholder meeting, I am glad that I trusted my very long term instincts on Torvec....
Hi Dino...
I still think there is a decent sized unpublished short position that will certainly feel pain upon an event....the price will rise on the merits of the event and be fueled by the cover....magnitude of the flurry I guess depends on the magnitude of the event...none the less, it's going to a fun situation to watch....
Happy St. Patrick's Day ............
Havn't read all three article links yet but these two quotes caught my eye from the BBC article...
"Meeting a target to boost fuel efficiency by 4% would be "extraordinarily expensive" and "technologically challenging" said GM's head Rick Wagoner." ...........NOT
"He added that even if the target were met, the US would be using more oil and producing more carbon dioxide emissions than ever before." ................................NOT
Detroit at it's finest....
dyna..
for the record...didnt torgo say it was a "school bus " deal...if the info is accurate that speedway has shown us, it would appear that torgo's info isnot accurate ....
I knew that if I eventually used logic in one of these posts ....
..someone was bound to call me out on it... LOL
No one questioned wether what torgo said happened or not...
...speedways point appears to be that it must have been the firm he was referring to....
....if it had been worth persuing at the time, it would have gone somewhere...must not have been worth it...
LOL....
I knew there was more to the story....
as many as it takes.....
The shareholder meeting was chuck full of information about the tech and what is going on...
That was only 7 weeks ago....and based on the amount of information shared at that meeting, it was apparent to just about everyone that there is alot going on...from my perspective, I think Torvec has done a much bettor job getting the information out....heck, there was more info put out during the quiet period in various fashions than used to be disseminated during the course of previous years...LOL
I would suggest that some information that we would like to hear about is kept out of the public domain because it would divulge strategies that the company will never divulge to the public...they are not going to hand the play book to the enemy so to speak...
