APT - No more short shares available at TDA.
HBIO popping after hours.
MBIO/FBIO - Looks like I sold my FBIO too early.
MGI - You seem to have a really good eye for these types of situations. I love how the price per share is so low compared to historical and then the positive catalyst(s).
Agree with you on that - I bought some in the low 2s the other day. Pretty good spike today.
hweb,
I'm also in with you on CUO - cost basis in the high 7s right now but looking to add more.
RE: Copper - I've been doing more research into copper production over the next few years and it's interesting to note that production at Chile's top mines dropped big time in the 1st quarter 2019. Much of that is due to operational problems, rains and rapidly falling ore grades. Codelco does 10% of the world's copper production and is now converting to an underground mine. I think that their production estimates are way too high. This could weigh pretty heavy on copper production over the next few years and keep prices favorable, even with all this tariff nonsense w/ China.
I think another good buying opportunity coming up...
BYND - Wanted to get in on that IPO but I'm still not convinced that this is the way to go. Impossible actually makes a better product, but this is really the only way to tap in at this point.
HYDI AIFS and QDLC have been my best performers lately. Am also a really big fan of the copper plays right now, especially TGB. It was getting bought up on any weakness today. I'm actually looking to add more. SCIA hasn't hit my buy order yet. Seems to be rangebound for awhile. Sold half of my FBIO for a profit and riding the other half. I really like this play over the medium term.
Hope you are all making $$$ in this market.
I have to agree with KIK on this one.
Wade- can you please stop flooding this board with same posts? We all get that you are short the market and lowered your cost basis. How is this adding any value to this board?
ELSE - funny you mention this one. Looking to make initial purchase.
I’m in the same boat. It’s tough not taking some of these profits off the table but all the articles I’ve read point to copper inventories trending down and prices up.
CPPMF - Nice move today! Thanks researcher! Appreciate you pounding the table on copper plays.
ASTC - Mermelstein. Did you buy any of this? I'm on the sidelines right now. Would prefer to have something more definitive. It opened strong but has been really weak in the past hour or so.
SCX/FTSI - Sold both of these too early. Oh well! Can't time everything the way you want.
Have been adding copper producers lately. TGB/CPPMF yesterday. I want to start doing charts of the producers in conjunction with copper prices to find the real bargains.
TPNL (Mermelstein) - Wow...wish I still owned this one.
SCIA - Sold 25% of my position just under $4. Will be keeping the rest and hopefully witnessing more of the great growth that got them here.
FTSI - sold 50% at 9 a bit ago. Still holding the rest, but short leash. Going to pay very close attention to the chart on this one.
Managed to pick up some shares in the high 5s. Overall, I still down on this one and should have dumped it all when it hit $13 before. Lessons learned.
Wade - You may be the most perfect contrarian indicator on the planet.
CETX - Was up pretty big today on some significantly higher volume. I've been a bagholder in this for awhile and it is good to finally see some life. I'm not sure I buy into these guys and the ability to deliver on the Smart Desk, but I am going to ride it out for a bit longer. Cost average is just over $1.
TGB (researcher) - Thanks for bringing this to the board. I agree with your rationale on this one and will look to add. There's a pretty good floor established in the .40-.60 area so probably not a lot of downside. Will look to add some soon.
TCOR - Anyone else in this? I bought some at .33xx a few weeks ago and it has been getting some love. Already sold half my position on a recent pop.
Thanks for the info (you too, KiK). It didn't hit my target in the after hours but i'll see what the action looks like tomorrow.
FORD moving after hours - trying to find out what's up.
ITCC - I'm still holding this and noticed a larger bid showed up today for 180k.
Wade- I’m a pretty tolerant person but can you please stop with all these one-liner knee-jerk reaction posts to every piece of news that comes out?
I really don’t understand how this adds any value to this board.
Wade/HWEB-
You may be right about the market inevitably going down, Wade. But I don't like using the SPXS vehicle other than a short-term trade.
I'm with HWEB on building more cash in my account. I've been slowly and steadily selling some of my positions (some too early also) to give myself ample opportunity to add on more sustained weakness.
I feel lucky to have been part of this market bounce as 3 weeks ago was downright ugly for most of us.
PDEX - Just sold the whole enchilada for 14.99. If this thing breaks out it could be over $20 real soon. I'll hopefully be able to get back in, but it's trading really strong.
PDEX - Wade:
It could go either way on this. He's cautioning investors that they might not be able to maintain this level of growth. Could or could not be indicative of quarter's results.
I'm probably going to sell into this strength and see what happens with earnings with the rest.
PDEX - I am.
Wade - looks like it's time to go full margin on SPXS.
SPXS - Mine is gone now too.
SPXS - I'm in for some as a hedge also. Was debating this or SPY puts.
Who knows - market could keep going up..but you would expect to see a pullback soon.
Give my regards to Mr. Fibonacci.
PDEX - Agree. Nice day for this one. I’m in on this from the $11.xx area and plan on holding through earnings. Will consider selling some if it really runs back up over $15.
NTN - The rest of my shares are now gone at 3.40. Woohoo! Ultimately, I agree with you on this being back in the 2s. This thing has been on a steady decline for quite some time. They are too heavily weighted in one customer and I don't have confidence that they are renewing that contract. You should hear the disdain some of their shareholders have for management over at Yahoo.
PERI - I haven't sold any of my PERI, even though the stock action has been extremely frustrating. It has been trading much better of late and I hope this trend continues.
NTN - I set a limit order at 3.40 for the rest. If you look at the trading action over the last few years, there are usually some pretty big swings to the up and downside. I just don't want to do a knee-jerk sell before seeing how it responds the rest of the week and into next week.
NTN 3.20 - I sold 35% of my position yesterday at 2.75 and will look to unload the rest soon. It feels good to be in the black on this after waiting for what felt like an eternity to recover. It has been trading great over the past week or so.
PHUNW - Does anyone have a good grasp on this now? I haven't had any time to understand the nuances. Noticed PHUN is up pretty good again today.
