Okay,
I'm in! I'm a friend of Red's, he put me on to this stock.
Sorry to have turned up at this time :(
Hello all,
What's the deal with HDY right now? I've been looking to buy in for a little while, look's like now might be the time?
TIA
Hey KC,
Please do not take this the wrong way but I am trying to understand your motives for being here. This is the only board you post on and you are not even invested. It seems obsessive. If you truly believe everything you post, then I would have thought staying away would be the preferred option. Surely you would be happy to be rid of KBLB and move on to something worthwhile (posting here surely has little/no value to you if we assume your beliefs are correct). Please don't tell me that your posts are borne out of sheer philanthropy.
GLTY, DOD
Hello KC, firstly sincere thanks for what I believe to be a truthful and candid response.
I have had my money 'tied' up in KBLB for nearly 18 months. Do I regret it? yes and no. Firstly I do not regret investing in KBLB one bit. I am as confident now as I have ever been. In hindsight however I regret buying at some of the prices I have bought at and also regret 'tying' my money up for such a prolonged period when it could have been making me money by trading or investing elsewhere in the meantime. In hindsight this has been foolish but I (like most) believed we would have had something before now. However unlike some, I do not blame the (perceived) delay on the company. I blame it on myself for setting unrealistic expectations and for not allowing the company enough room to manoeuvre itself appropriately in the situation it is in. This situation being to take itself from a 'one-man band' (other people's words not mine*) development stage company that is truly taking first steps into the unknown into a company that is leading the way in it’s field in either manufacturing spidersilk products or providing the tools to the industry (transgenic silkworms) to produce these products. How foolish of me to believe that the above could be completed in 12 months time. How foolish of me to believe that we would be able to have a peer reviewed article completed and published to everybody’s satisfaction in that time frame (http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/kraig-biocraft-laboratories-announces-filing-international-patent-application-spider-pinksheets-kblb-1596145.htm). How foolish of me to believe that our agreement tying everything else into place with UND would be completed in this time frame (http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/kraig-biocraft-laboratories-inc-signs-spider-silk-commercial-license-agreement-with-otcqb-kblb-1581536.htm). How foolish of me to believe that we would be able to have all the necessary INTERNATIONAL patents applied for at this time (http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/kraig-biocraft-laboratories-announces-filing-international-patent-application-spider-pinksheets-kblb-1596145.htm). How foolish of me to believe that having our Gen 1 (monstersilk) products to market would/should take priority over other things such as achieving the successful creation of the platform worm and creating a range of different transgenics (http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/kraig-biocraft-laboratories-announces-creation-seven-new-strains-transgenic-silkworms-otcqb-kblb-1586643.htm). How foolish of me to believe that having our Gen 1 products to market would/should take priority over successfully creating a new larger commercial hybrid transgenic (http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/kraig-biocraft-laboratories-announces-successful-creation-new-commercial-hybrid-transgenic-pinksheets-kblb-1520365.htm). How foolish of me to believe that it would not make more sense to sign a commercial license agreement with somebody like Sigma Aldrich in order to inexpensively obtain the tools necessary to improve our future products while getting the support and assistance from a true industry giant (http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/sigma-aldrich-kraig-biocraft-laboratories-successfully-negotiate-license-agreement-pinksheets-kblb-1501105.htm). How foolish of me to believe that it would not make sense for KBLB to get some business advice from some of the leading people in the industry (http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/joe-cunning-joins-kraig-biocraft-laboratories-business-advisory-board-1384153.htm, http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/kraig-biocraft-laboratories-announces-that-raymond-kutsunai-has-joined-its-business-1357617.htm, http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/kraig-biocraft-laboratories-announces-that-henry-wendt-has-joined-its-business-advisory-1349449.htm **).
I have been truly foolish for some time now (I mean this with all sincerity) for being foolish enough to believe that the above could have been achieved in the timeframe I gave the company to turn my investment into a pot of gold. To play devils advocate, let’s assume the company had followed a different route, possibly the one that people have been postulating they should have taken i.e. ultimate goal is monster silk into production as soon as possible (which people say should have been prioritised in lieu of the above). In this scenario we have a company that is producing revenues. Undoubtedly the PPS is well ahead of where it stands today, possibly near $1. I’d be considering myself a rich man by this point undoubtedly happy. However only happy because ignorance is bliss I would not be aware of what ‘could have been’. At this point because Kim T has been so hell-bent on achieving revs as soon as possible, the opportunity to have the sole right to use ZF in Silkworms has passed the company by……... Another company (possibly Amsplodge) has seen the potential and steered their ship in another direction, they have tied up the commercial rights to ZF use in Silkworms thus preventing KBLB from using Zincfingers and damning the company to a future of highly random gene insertions. In reality, ‘pure’ spider silk is now not going to happen. Without the Zincfingers it is a near impossible task. So let’s simply continue with our gen 1 production and in the meantime we will continue to randomly Piggybac our way in the pursuit of glory. Fast forward 2 years and Amsplodge, with their generous benefactors have now produced ‘pure’ spider silk which in reality has rendered KBLB’s products obsolete. They have achieved KBLB’s ‘planned’ Gen 2 & Gen 3 goals and have also used the ZF to produce a silk that has better qualities than Kraig’s ‘Monstersilk’. In this situation am I still a happy man? I suppose only if I had sold at $1 and not ‘foolishly’ held onto my shares in the vain hope that we would beat the competition (who with their mountains of cash move at a fast pace) using PiggyBac.
Honest Good luck back to you KC!
* I honestly believe people’s perception of KBLB being a ‘one-man band’ is unfairly skewed in a negative light all too often. People use this perceived view to help promote their belief that the company is nothing more than a scam or a ‘pet-project’ of Kim Ts that will never get off the ground. The way I see it could not be more different. Kim T is not superman. Superman himself would have a hard job achieving what KBLB has achieved in the past few years unaided!! Kim has achieved everything using contingent labour and consultants who he has had to pay on an ad-hoc basis which has kept the costs down and reduced risk to KBLB. Until revenue’s are realised, I would not want it any other way. So let’s put the ‘one-man band’ thing to rest shall we as it’s completely nonsensical!
** I have to wonder how many of the other recent achievements (Sigma Aldich, monster hybrid, platform worms etc) could have come out of meetings and advice from our Business Advisory Board?? Who knows??
KC10 do you mind me asking you if you are currently or in the future planning to be a shareholder? The tone of your posts implies negative on both counts......
Mojo, exaggerate? Never!!!
More than welcome!
If the share price got to $1.50 under these circumstances (no commercialisation as of yet) then it would be through promotion and pumping. Does the almighty sage mojo really think that would give a stable share price? So a market cap of close to $1B? The contradictions are (as ever) numerous.
One minute there is good reason why our share price is where it is and the next, it could be at $1.50 and be more stable than currently. Hogwash as usual, just a pity we receive notifications from responses from those 'ignored'.
Ha ha we have a winner!
I've just googled 'Amgoo' and the name is taken. Maybe Amsplodge?
Apologies midnight, that response was meant to be for fatcat.
Do you really think that a price in the 20s will magically bring more stability to this stock in the absence of a commercialisation deal or other big tangible news? Seriously? I can't imagine why.........
When it comes to products on the market, they are no doubt way ahead of KBLB. However the key here is that they are mass producing spider silk proteins, not spider silk thread. They have produced a flyer for their fibers (link below) which clearly shows that they cannot currently spin the proteins into a commercial fibre. In my opinion on this aspect they are light years behind if even to be considered a contestant in the race. Amsilk has been done to death on this board (not that that will stop the inevitable flagulation by 'doing' it all over again).
Get some sleep Zinc, you'll need it!
http://www.amsilk.com/fileadmin/user_upload/silkfibers_whitepaper_amsilk.pdfi,uhohk
Just to add, you can see the date of the agreement is just 4 days before the PR that was released..........
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/sigma-aldrich-kraig-biocraft-laboratories-successfully-negotiate-license-agreement-pinksheets-kblb-1501105.htm
Sorry to butt in ES1 but as Manshoon hinted, I'm not sure you've got that correct.
I am almost certain that the second paragraph in red is Sigma. The agreement was for purchasing the ZF and for the licenses to use commercially. The text shows to what level they are shareholders as we have paid a mixture of cash and shares thus far and have agreed to do likewise in future if we exercise the license options.
So the more we do, the more involved (more shareholding) they become. I believe this answers JB's question anyway.........
Share the 'proof' KC. You have plenty to give to the board, why not add a bit of value and share your email?
Hello all,
Sorry for the 'half' information but I've just seen the arse-end of an article on BBC news about a project that has been recently completed whereby they harvested silk from spiders to make a cape (not sure why). They went on about how the material feels, running out of superlatives to describe it. Only took them 3 years to make it. I sense competition on the horizon!!!! Ha ha
I'm off to bed but if anybody has BBC News then see if you can find it and give a better write-up than me, it shan't be hard as I'm all Tiger beer'd up!
Ben has never failed to answer an email of mine.
Chuc mung nam moi (without the diacritics that ihub doesn't recognise!!)
I'll let you spell check all my posts whenever you like regardless of whether a wager is involved ha ha
Ha ha agreed.
I see this more like 2 people down the pub putting a wager on the SuperBowl. No recourse their but it still happens.
Come on KC10 name your price and whether you trust red to hold your money for a month or so before passing it over to me?
Hey lucky,
Many thanks for the legal advice, much appreciated.
I would be willing to put my trust in somebody, say Red who could hold our wager in trust. I 100% understand that there would be no legal basis whatsoever for any of this but I am more than willing to put my trust in Red.
I wouldn't be willing to transfer straight to KC10.
I'd just be looking to wave something a little more tangible in front of KC10's face (his own cash) once we commercialise.
I know the risks but thanks for your concern & advice!
Good luck luck!
Hey Lucky,
I live in Vietnam where gambling is illegal but thousands die every year from gambling enforced suicide. Where there is a will there is a way. Myself and KC10 agree on a mutual trustee, wire him the money and there we have it. The only issue is ensuring the trustee transfers the winnings to me. Simples
“I've just recently received a report from the laboratory that a number of additional transgenic lines have also been created using the ZFN technology, and we believe we are in a very advanced stage of development of the next generation of spider silk polymers, which is essentially not a fusion polymer as we created with the “Monster Silk”, but something more along the lines of a purer spider silk polymer composed entirely or almost entirely of spider silk proteins. Not to get into too much detail here, we also believe that this has significantly accelerated our development of the generation three technology, which essentially is a customizable polymer. A fiber to which we can customize, depending upon the requirements and specifications of an end customer.”
Enough said
As I've said already, I'm not a child. I have both the maturity and sensibility to wait a little longer.
Agreed!!!
First round of gen 1 Saint, not gen 2
At first I was a little disappointed but on reflection it was not disappointment due to a lack of tangible news it was due to the prevalence of negativity that we have become used to reading.
Every word, every action, (speculated) lack of action is twisted in a negative manner so I hate the opportunity that this brings to the ever presents.........
I've listened a few times and there is nothing I heard that I didn't like. For me, this little interview revealed almost as much as a CC so this makes me damn excited to hear what Kim has for us in the CC. I'm not a child, I have enough patience to wait a little longer.
We have Monster Silk commercialised in the near future and Kim more or less told us we have 'pure' spider silk. How freaking funkilicios is that woo hoooooooooo?
The purveyors of the negative perception will point out that our gen 1 commercialisation is late. Well 'so what' maybe it is later than 'originally' expected but it sure seems like our gen 2 & gen 3 are being developed at a quicker pace than anybody expected. Let's also not forget that when our gen 1 monster silk gets to market, it is 100% undeniably going to be a better product than the one that people are speculating is 'late' (after all the 'product' that we have reportedly had for over 12 months has had the super duper zinc digits open a can of whoop ass on them. That has to be a good thing!!!). I can accept that, works for me and wouldn't want it any other way.
Cheers to Kim for doing the 'same old same old' step by step improvements that will benefit all the longs here at the end of the day.
I can live with him moving the goalposts because each time he does he improves the future prospects. I love this company. Peace out, sleep time for me.
It doesn't. Separate products.
The hope is that gen 1 commercialisation will be a CC topic
GLTY
No problemo just didnt want misinformation cluttering the board. Mojo will be filling it with such, he needs no help!
By the way I don't need you to answer that because I already know the answer. I knew it before checking but then checked anyway before piping up.
The answer is gen 1, monster silk, which was meant to primarily be for the textiles market. This latest round is for gen 2. Now you know.

Which gen was this PR for?
I'll second Motherland's sentiments. Muck appreciated KB
Hail to the King!
They'd eat him as well!!
Ray this is Vi?t Nam. A duck has no more to fear than ANY other animal; snake, dog, rat, croc, ostrich, snail, grub or bug. Anything goes!
How do you know I'm not already the SE Asia Distributor?
Until we have news, you will never know!
As mentioned before, a perfect compromise. I could meet you lot halfway!
Around SE Asia :)
I'll second that Saint. The dulcet tones of the dear Dr Fraser are a pleasure to behold! :)
