The most interesting so far. For the investor, everything up until now has been preliminary. Now, as the saying goes, 'the rubber meets the road'.
Sales. We will know in 2012 if and how many. And so will go the stock price.
It's a nice quiet week here taking the week off, looking forward to a low key New Year's Eve on the way to 2012 - the Year of DPLY!
If any investors beyond this board are looking at what we are looking at, gap up on Tuesday.
I went to Scottrade for just this reason. I bought 90,000 shares there yesterday.
Financials out. Still moving forward.
Slaw, you said just what I was thinking after reading this, to me, unbelievable information being posted here. It makes sense of two things that have puzzled me up until now.
1. There are thesetop names in the fields that are in joining the board of OPMG.
2. They are putting out no information that would help the investor see why these people would be joining the board.
Now it seems obvious to me - they are in for a really big play, and have been executing a vision that must have been there since St. Clair came onto the board. When you think about it, they've come miles in a 7 months.
I bought another 90,000 shares yesterday - glad I did. When this news hits, it will be bigger than the Bieber run last June and July - and it will stay there. Will keep my shares for the longer ride.
That would be a great Christmas gift! A really GREEN Christmas!
Happy Holidays, everybody. And I'm looking forward to a Happy New Year with DPLY. They have finished 2011 positioned like we could only dream of.
Samples, thanks for the link. It is real!
Next big announcement is out - provisional listing on the Canadian Exchange.
The company has worked hard on this one. Glad to see we're on the road!
Message is - he's working as hard as it's possible to work, and even that amount of work can't pull this together as fast as we all wish.
I do think I have learned, though, that he's in charge and has been for 6 months - and that he's a perfectionist. He's the kind of guy who has to have it just right before he signs off.
One million downloads being conservative? Wow! That would be pretty special. Can you say what you base your thinking on for that?
Thanks.
Good question. I have no idea.
I don't think your figures are off at all. As I wrote yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised that the $24.95 figure was per month and not per year. That immediately increased revenues 12x in my mind.
Now your assumptions about revenue are exactly on target given the price of the product, and that there will be 1,000,000 sales in the first 6 months. I was being conservative in my mind and thinking 100,000 to 500,000 and seeing revenues in the neighborhood of 30,000,000 to 150,000,000. I still think one million is high, but possible given the Bieber thing.
But based on your figure of 1,000,000 sales and just under 300M, and take 30% to the bottom line that gives 90,000,000, or an eps of .09. Take a pe of 30 and we're at that $2.70 stock price.
So, given your assumptions, I think you are right on.
I did look at the site today and saw, to my surprise, that the charge was per month and not per year.
I see I've been benind the 8 ball here - thinking all along that the charge was for a year, and now see revenues up 12x what I was thinking they would be.
Made it a pretty good day for me!
It's great to read all these posts showing how texting and driving is reaching awareness in print, in government action, etc.
I do notice, however, that none of these great stories are connected to PG or PG to them, as far as we know.
THAT would be the coup de gras for investors - to see where one plus one equals two.
Waiting is a frustration, I agree, but I've comfortably come down on the side of - these guys know what they're doing. That they've missed marketing dates is all due to their wanting the product to be right once it's out there.
I can wait - and in the meantime, doubled my holdings!
Somebody's making out pretty well at .08.
I appreciate the correction - software can be updated.
My point, I think, is still operative. We're not seeing full bore advertising, and benjo made the same point with the report of his call to Joe Noel.
They're don't want a product out there that needs to be tweaked after it's sold.
It looks like they're lining up their ducks - big advertising ready, and wanting the full feeling of satisfaction that when it blows open, the buyers will be fully satisfied with theirproduct.
There's only one reason I can think of that management has chosen not to to full bore and it has nothing to do with the holidays or any time of the year.
It's got to do with their not being ready. They took down the 99 cent product and are tweaking another one of the products.
That, to me, is evidence they are not ready to have the product purchased.
Can you imagine having the product out there and then having to do a 1M product recall? I think that's what they're thinking about and working on - getting it perfect, so that when they sell it, there are no glitches.
I think when they get there, they'll go full bore.
I like your theory about the market strategy of our company, Al, but I must say it is all theory, since there is no evidence out there to back it up.
All the things they have done in last 5 months are true, but the market part are talking about is still a theory.
Your last comment looks more and more true to me - they are late to the party.
I've seen the detective work on this board, particularly during the Bieber run early this summer. People here dug up some stuff that was right on the edge of where the marketing was going - like following Bieber to a shoot in LA, etc.
I have full confidence if there were advertising going on by our company, someone here would find it or would have found it.
That no one has leads me to beleive there is none out there.
What does CES stand for? Can't even find it on their web site.
I keep trying to understand why they're late with their plans.
Elijah gives us one idea - they're bumbling folk and, since I've never met them, his idea could be right.
But since their record has been so successful before, I find that hard to believe.
I confess the only idea I have goes only so far. It looks like major things changed when St. Clair came on board in May. They changed the product and that seems to have taken time. Since they changed the product, they couldn't launch it in July.
They've finished the product as they announced in late Sepember. They were moving to selling the product.
So that makes sense of why they didn't launch in July. If the product is not ready they can't launch it.
But if it is ready now, why don't they pull out all the stops, since the product is finished? Plus, Bieber, advertisements made, etc. This is the part that doesn't make sense to me.
They must want to make money at least as much as we want them to? I'm at a loss to explain why successful people don't do what looks like it makes sense to do from here.
The only thing I can conclude is that something is still not ready.
All they need is a penny in earnings to be way beyond .05. That would be 10M in earnings - I think they're building for that.
Someone took that .19 out of there - guess he/she had enough of the game!!
Yes, I do like the PM feature - don't use it very often, but once in a while nice to be able to share some thoughts - like the state of the company as it actually is.
Seasoned execs - seems like they must be. You seem close enough to it to know for sure.
I like to give someone the benefit of the doubt on Thanksgiving!
Yea, the excitement of good news coming is fun, and may even give us a shot on pps.
But I totally agree with you - in the end it's all about the revenues. Too bad we can't be a peek about that.
I do think I saw a post a while ago that downloads are happening. Is there any way to see that? That would be the biggest current boost to the pps - even to the current time, imho.
I just spent .19 to correct the error!
Contract signings would be a big deal - hope we get one or more by the end of the year.
Ten bucks, huh? I thought I was optimistic!
You could be right.
Guess he/she wasn't taking.
All I know - it's not me. Mine are not for sale - not until we get way out of penny land.
You're carrying the wrong banner, 'cookstove12'. What you say is never going to happen. Sorry about that.
The company is closer than it's ever been to revenues. This stock will never see .001. Or anything close to that.
Canadian listing plus a product being sold will mean trading and a rising stock price.
Good line about your nuclear powered watch.
Look for the Canadian listing. When that happens there may be trading happening in the stock. There are more people in Canada who are familiar with this company than there are here.
I feel for you cookstove12. There's no quick money to be made here, it's obvious. If that's what you were looking for, surely you are in the wrong place.
Whatever you call it, penny, pink, the stock price has not dropped with the long wait - to like .005 or .001 like all pinks, pennies do while waiting for something to happen. That's my point.
I said penny, not pink.
Agreed. Rule of thumb...they only go down if there's no news or rumors of news coming.
That hasn't happened to this one. It should have by all the rules of penny stock. That it hasn't is a story in itself.
It's not behaving like a penny stock because those who hold shares believe there is a real company a-brewin!
I am among them, so I wait. I think I will be proved right.
Nice post. I'm in your corner. Sometimes waiting is hard, but the fundamentals of the company are the same, product and management.
