did you see the reg SHO numbers for ENTI yesterday?
i believe this could come back. the concept behind ROAR is potentially more profitable than MMX ever was. it's just going to be a while. those invested here that choose to post negative comments, only cut their own throats as well as other fellow longs. it wouldn't surprise me in the least if this starts moving up by the beginning of next month.
what're ya gonna do in a month or so when they start rolling out ROAR?
yep, no shortin' goin on around here.
if ROAR shows promise, people will buy again. the more i think about it, the more i believe it could drive the pps up a bit.
no idea, but a very good question. when you find out, let me know.
is this article something IHUB doesn't want anyone to read or what?
http://www.euromoney.com/Article/1001047/Title.html?single=true
such a blatant attempt to stop the free dissemination of public information scares th hell out of me. i'd like a response.
my guess is that with all things considered, ROAR is the fastest, best project they have ready to go that will lead to revenues.
from the article in question:
GroupM’s failed effort to compile a completely accurate anti-piracy blacklist once again shows the problem with these types of censorship; the collateral damage. Although one can certainly make a case for blocking many of the listed sites, it also puts several obviously non-infringing sites in the same corner.
this article is not conclusive. it's equally possible that MMX's perceived violation is minor and that's what is being addressed in the prolonged shutdown.
if ROAR has value, the pps will rise. we'll just have to wait and see. GLTA
i've told Imoz, Tony needs to hire him as a consultant. i have a lot of respect for his knowledge in this field. the potential is here, we're just not taking advantage of it.
as a matter of fact, i have. he said it's being considered for the future. that's part of the reason i've stuck with this thing. i think he actually mentioned possibly some aspect of this direction with the business plan in one of his more recent podcasts when he said we're going to have contests with second tier artist coming soon. but who knows. i would love to put out a press release to some of the print and web publications in my city that specialize in the local music scene for this. i really believe the power of the internet is in the fact that anyone can get their stuff out there to everyone. every band in the world thinks they have what it takes to be the next big thing. frankly, when i look at someone like katie perry, i tend to agree. it doesn't take much these days besides marketing. MMX could be a real beehive of activity and videos from contests could go viral over the rest of the web, which would just increase the exposure. anyway, you can see this is what i think the direction needs to be. no disrespect to Howie D, but the caliber of artist we're going to attract right now just isn't going to drive the numbers of fans we need to get this thing noticed. GLTA
neither youtube nor myspace has contests. there's an immediacy in this that you just don't get with posting content on a static page. of course it would have to be done right, but i really still believe MMX could be a serious beehive of activity in the music video market for up and coming bands. i really think Tony would do well to hire imoz as a consultant and start building and rebuilding this business plan. i've said before, i know of at least 20 bands here in my city alone that would be all over this. and yeah, they would get their friends and groupies involved. anything to promote their bands. right now, i think we need to hear from Tony. i hope he hasn't gotten out of the country.
i've always said they should open it up to every garage band and wanabe in the world. a lot of the local people i know in bands would love to get involved with something like this. they all believe they have what it takes to make it in show business and they would all tell their friends and groupies to join to enter the weekly contests to promote their band. i think that's part of the direction Tony was talking about recently in a podcast with lower end bands. at least that's what i'm hoping. i think they should let the members vote on the entries too. to me that makes a lot of sense. the free members need to have more of a reason to sign up as well. there's a lot of undiscovered talent in this world. the internet is the perfect venue for getting yourself out there for others to see.
you're right, i suppose. but it was stated in a press release that filmrookie was sold for 1/2 a million. to me, this isn't unbelievable. it had potential for making money, but needed a lot of time to develop. of course given their record with past sales of assets, who knows. i still believe that in the minds of management, Roar is the most promising asset or idea they have for generating revenue in the shortest amount of time possible. i think that's a good thing. anything to get us out of this pps range.
i believe what was sold is the rights to filmrookie. that is to say, the domain name and business model. my guess is that it was determined by the new management that ROAR had more potential to produce revenue more quickly that filmrookie. this makes sense to me. we just have to hope that it DOES produce revenue. the idea is good, at least.
aka, i think everyone here understands how you feel. i just don't think it's that great of an idea to keep sh*ttin' in your own backyard(pardon my french). i do believe that Thomas Hargis is a new CEO, and that he's genuinely trying to develop a new means of revenue for ENTI in the shortest amount of time possible. whether or not that new means of revenue will be successful is the big question. at least ROAR sounds pretty interesting to me. there is potential. we'll just have to wait and see.
no argument, but what're ya gonna do? from what i've gathered, the earliest we will hear anything one way or the other is a month from now, when the first round of beta testing is finished. perhaps a couple of updates via podcast, indicating things are coming along nicely might show up. i'm just trying to remain positive as i wait for my car to get out of the shop...oh yeah, as to the other posters question, it is Roar. that is clearly stated in the pr.
i'm not sure. "the premise is simple. People share their likes and favorites with people in their networks and the click-throughs to the sites people like earn points for the posters" that's what it says in the pr. all i'm saying is, as Thomas explained in the podcast, at this point it's important to be secretive about exactly how everything works, and i'm not sure "pay-per-click" is the underlying business model. where did you see that it was definitely not "pay-per-click"?
Tony needs to update us. has there even been a tweet?
i don't think we know enough one way or the other at this point to speculate. Thomas says this business is based on new technology. it is possible, it doesn't have anything to do with the pay per click business. we just don't know enough yet. as i've already stated, that the domain name is owned by a company that is in the business of selling domain names is sufficient for me that it's available. it makes perfect sense that management would want to be quiet about this aspect of plans. domain name hunters are another breed of cut throat businessmen. i would have to assume, given the sale of filmrookie, that ROAR is the best, most likely, and fastest means to accomplishing revenues. as i've listened to the podcasts and considered it, i must say, the potential is huge and worldwide. i just hope beta testing moves along smoothly and without delay. the basement no fun.
i don't think that information is current.
jim, where do you see that roar.com is the 3rd largest pay per click company in the world?
no bid can change at any moment to a bid that's climbing. it happens all the time. i imagine that's why people with nothing invested here find it necessary to keep coming over and bash.
i've bought shares of ENTI last week with Scottrade, no problem. just don't know if i'll ever be able to sell them.
sad, but true. woohoo.
as has already been discussed on this board, the domain name, roar.com is owned by fabulous.com. fabulous.com is a company that, among other things, sells domain names. the site presently at roar.com doesn't look like any thriving entity to me. it looks like something that was parked there several years ago in an effort to make some money. there are other possibilities as well. roar.net, for instance could be the targeted domain for this new enterprise. as far as i'm concerned, at this point this question or issue is not pressing. there's actually several explanations and this could fall under the heading of things that can't be disclosed at this point in the interest of secrecy. i think there's other issues to be concerned with, but not this.
i think this is a non issue at this point. there's numerous possibilities as far as the domain name goes. there are plenty of other issues to be more concerned with right now.
it looks like fabulous.com is a company that sells domain names. they're the registered owners of roar.com, not apple. http://www.fabulous.com/ it could be there's a deal that's already been done with the domain name.
this is wrong. FABULOUS.COM PTY LTD. is the currently registered owner of roar.com
i still maintain, we're better off waiting then selling right now. Hargis will need time to make anything happen. not happy, though.
things could still turn around here at ENTI, live42daygirl. ROAR might make money. i'm assuming that's why he's moving on it. when i see your avatar over at twitter it really kinda sums everything up.
they need real revenues too, though.
i've always thought more of a 1:10 RS. it wouldn't necessarily be the worst thing in the world, if they have revenue. at least the pps could climb with a SS like that.
my thoughts exactly. it is true that if ROAR works, and it's done properly(two big ifs) it will make money. a big question mark with social networking has been how to monetize it. as i'm understanding ROAR, it will work with any platform or social network as some sort of an add-on. i guess we're just gonna have to sit tight and hope for the best. GLTA
being an investor in ENTI, i'm too broke to afford it, but i hope some of the investors that live in the area will pay them a visit.
Hargis' mocking questions about the TA being gagged was just inappropriate. if he doesn't know what the term "gagged" means, he shouldn't be a CEO. this made me very uncomfortable. i have no doubt that this ROAR thing can be pumped at some point, and it does have potential for a much broader audience of users then MMX ever did, but right now we're at no bid. from the sounds of this podcast, there's nothing in the works that will improve this situation for some time. the fact that he's chuckling while my money is gone is really not cool.
it just makes the pain a little more bearable...a little.
i wonder if anyone will push it back up to .0002 before close. these days that seems to be the biggest question for the pps.
i'm going to fidelity. they're self clearing and everybody that i've come across that uses them is pretty much happy with them.
