Both.
The computer says here's the data. . .then I add emotion to it, and away we go.
;)
FAS: Out and flat at 1520 (NYT).
Yes. How far are we from trading by computer quant/algo programs?
How much longer can we afford to add emotions to the mix while computers pare that down?
A trader might cover half. . .the S&P has been basically flat since 1030 (NYT).
Cover other half if breakout is confirmed.
Care to speculate on last hour's action?
Short covering?
FAS: Up about 1415 (NYT).
Yes. I don't see how Archos sells those things, when the iPT, although smaller in its current incarnation, is such a great little computer.
Yes. The chart will tell us.
Not happening. . .yet.
Can shorts afford not to cover some time today?
What percentage will cover by the 4PM close?
Yes, similar to our lives not being impacted by ice age cycles.
;)
Going with the flow is smart and a good thing, until there is a sign to turn or do something different.(g)
I only know it is pulling back. . .down approaching 12 pts.
I can speculate it's related to general economic conditions, consumer confidence, jobs, etc., hardware and software concerns with iOS, excessive AAPL love and bullishness, which is often a negative sign for a stock or market, etc.
I don't know how long it will continue, since I can not see the future, but can merely describe what I see now.
Key questions:
1) How do the odds for a reversal increase as the current trend continues?
2) And what factors contribute to that change?
FAS may be near a setup for a counter trend rally.
AAPL pulling back about 4.3% today. So far.
How low will it go in the next three months?
It looks powerful and is over the time span available, but longer term there will be occasional whips and false positives.
The problem is with a small sample size we don't know the probability of those happening.
Small sample size. . .might that be a false positive?
FAS. . .making new lows.
FAS testing lows for today.
Thus far, that is.
Futures rising a little. . .presently.
Yes, and falling T Note Yields. . .

I'd like a Touch about this size (with a debugged iOS4).
Thanks for the 30 min SPY.
As a single indicator, I'm inclined to prefer FORCE in conjunction with the following hourly chart:

I'd appreciate your SPY chart.
$SPX 30 min RFC.
TREND1, I would like the URL for your 30 min RFC chart. Could you post that, please?
FAS: Flat at 1530 (NYT).
FAS: Up about 1440 (NYT).
FAS: Flat now. No U or D signal.
Big red mark on AAPL here in their work with iOS4. Battery life problems abound:

First year software engineering students learn that testing is essential. Why didn't AAPL's engineers ID and solve this issue?
Ugly mark on their QA process and managers.
Yes, that's important, but not the only thing presently.
Treacherous, edgy market today. . .are we going to see strength one way or the other?
FAS still Down.
Whip potential is high.
I may exit soon, waiting for one indicator.
Futures are positive.
FAS: Down about 1030 (NYT).
My $SPX daily chart turned Down this past Wednesday.

I agree, snoot.
About the "criminals" part, too. . .I don't take my eyes off those when in a live trade.
