"The ultimate catalyst (you are correct) is creating new certificates. This will show any discrepancies that exist when comparing with the NOBO/OBO/DTC Sheets. However, until a new symbol is approved it has no value."
the bold part is where I think the flaw in the theory is. The ticker is simply the name assigned to the cusip number (for ease of description). If the shares are called in, it makes no difference what the ticker is. THat is my point. The cause of the increase in price is the lowering of the number of shares not the ticker change.
Just like calling someone whose name is Robert "Bob" or "Rob" he is still Robert. But he only has two legs not four.
huh?
If I understand all this correctly, it is not the symbol change that causes all the share action it is the certs themselves which does not need the symbol. Therefore, we are fine right now.
There were two posts today...
one that stated Clayton had all the cert info to the brokers for the swap and that the symbol change will just happen.
Also, one that stated that Ameritrade(Ithink) knew of the issue and showed a 1 for 1 share swap in process.
Am I wrong here? I think the symbol change is really just a feel good thing to show that something really did happen.
thanks ninja, I am going to snoop around a little and see if I can dig up anything. I will not be contacting the company or the FDA (I dont want to get in the way).
Thank you for your reply. I agree, a quiet time is good for a stock to consolidate into a trading range. Also, fluff PR's are are worthless and turn into "the boy who cried wolf" when the good one hits. I just was not sure if there was some sort of required silent period.
I asked that question myself earlier and got absolutey no response from the board. Actually fealt like I was invisible. Can anyone see this post?
A nice little PR right now would be good!
Is there such a thing as a quiet period revolving around the FDA approval? I heard that from another stock I am in BMSN that they did not release any news for a certain period of time before they received their first approval.
Anybody? or am I off base here?
no problem ;)
LOL that was mine. Sorry, but I wanted the .84 close. I know people dont like it but I like the green.

Bio-Matrix Scientific Group Identifies Near Term Revenue Sources
Thursday May 8, 9:01 am ET
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bio-Matrix Scientific Group Inc. (OTCBB:BMSN - News) identified today potential sources of revenue which may be generated upon granting of its anticipated tissue bank license by the State of California.

The Company believes that near term revenue from the banking of adult stem cells derived from adipose tissue (fat), umbilical cord blood, and peripheral blood can be generated upon the granting of a tissue bank license.
Bio-Matrix anticipates the banking of stem cells derived from adipose tissue (fat) has the potential to generate revenues of approximately $2,000 to $2,500 per specimen in first year fees followed by approximately $200 to $250 in annual maintenance fees per specimen per year.
The Company also believes that, based on historical pricing trends, banking of umbilical cord blood specimens has the potential to generate revenues of $1,000 to $1,500 per specimen in first year fees followed by approximately $100 to $150 in annual maintenance fees per specimen per year.
In addition, the Company believes that banking of peripheral blood specimens, a recent development in stem cell banking, has the potential to generate revenues of $400 to $600 per specimen in first year fees followed by approximately $100 to $150 in annual maintenance fees per specimen per year.
The benefit to banking peripheral blood is that the stem cells from peripheral blood may be used for future medical treatments. Peripheral blood stem cell transplants are also used extensively in the treatment of various cancers.
The Company is also confident that planned DNA Marker testing can prove to be both a revenue source and a marketing tool which can lead to stem cell banking opportunities.
Currently, Bio-Matrix believes its facility can store up to 150,000 specimens of cord blood, adult stem cells and peripheral blood. Once that capacity is reached, the Company can add more cryogenic storage tanks to increase its capacity to an estimated 800,000 to 1,000,000 of specimens before it outgrows its current facility.

Bio-Matrix Scientific Group, Inc. Installs Computype's Secured Blood Bank Labeling and Identification Systems for its Adult Stem Cell Processing and Cryogenic Banking Laboratories
Wednesday May 7, 9:01 am ET
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bio-Matrix Scientific Group Inc. (OTCBB:BMSN - News), a biotechnology company focused on adult stem cell processing and cryogenic storage, announced today that it is installing blood bank labeling systems manufactured by Computype in all of Bio-Matrix’ laboratories.
A major emphasis of Bio-Matrix' Quality Systems prior to acceptance of human stem cell specimens has been the inclusion of appropriate systems and controls to ensure the traceability of any individual donor specimen from the registration process, collection procedure, processing and storage and possible future cellular transplant. Bio-Matrix has selected Computype, a leader in the manufacture of bar code labels, to implement its bar-coded label and identification system that complies with the Food and Drug Administration's “Universal Labeling Guidelines.”
“We are informed that over the last thirty years Computype has produced more bar code labels for use within the international blood bank community than perhaps any other company,” stated a Bio-Matrix spokesperson, “and that is the type of industry accepted reliability we are seeking when sourcing for our company.”
Bio-Matrix intends to further strengthen its labeling system from using RFID tags that will provide enhanced traceability of specimens as well as providing "real time" tissue process information. The safety of all specimens for future cellular therapies is of paramount importance in Bio-Matrix’ long-term cellular storage business.
