Exxon Algea Alliance. Match made in Heaven
http://www.exxonmobil.com/Corporate/energy_climate_con_vehicle_algae.aspx
This alliance brings together two distinctly different organizations, each with leadership and expertise in its field, to pursue a commercially viable solution to the significant energy challenges facing the world today:
SGI’s expertise in genomics, synthetic biology, microbiology and biochemistry; and
ExxonMobil’s expertise in the manufacture of transportation fuels and the development of technologies and systems to increase the production scale from benchtop concepts to large-scale manufacturing
Advantages of Algae
ExxonMobil has been engaged in a long-term effort to examine the potential of next generation and renewable fuels. After considerable study, we have concluded that biofuels from photosynthetic algae have potential benefits and advantages.
Algae can be grown using land and water unsuitable for plant or food production, unlike some other first- and second-generation biofuel feedstocks.
Select species of algae produce bio-oils through the natural process of photosynthesis — requiring only sunlight, water and carbon dioxide.
Growing algae consume carbon dioxide; this provides greenhouse gas mitigation benefits.
Bio-oil produced by photosynthetic algae and the resultant biofuel will have molecular structures that are similar to the petroleum and refined products we use today.
Algae have the potential to yield greater volumes of biofuel per acre of production than other biofuel sources. Algae could yield more than 2000 gallons of fuel per acre per year of production. Approximate yields for other fuel sources are far lower:
- Palm — 650 gallons per acre per year
- Sugar cane — 450 gallons per acre per year
- Corn — 250 gallons per acre per year
- Soy — 50 gallons per acre per year
Algae used to produce biofuels are highly productive. As a result, large quantities of algae can be grown quickly, and the process of testing different strains of algae for their fuel-making potential can proceed more rapidly than for other crops with longer life cycles.
If successful, bio-oils from photosynthetic algae could be used to manufacture a full range of fuels including gasoline, diesel fuel and jet fuel that meet the same specifications as today’s products.
Under the program, if research and development milestones are successfully met, ExxonMobil expects to spend more than $600 million, which includes $300 million in internal costs and potentially more than $300 million to SGI.
Sounds Good Buddy.
You read my mind. Spooky
RWE / BEHL BREAKTHOUGH TECHNOLOGY
Algea Energy Cost Advantage =>
Algea $1000 p/KW, Solar 3500 p/KW, Wind $ 8,000 p/KW
Can you give us an idea of the potential of algae processing ... i.e., can it provide as much energy as wind power or solar power in the U.S.? How do you compare it to other methods?
RA: I believe all of these technologies will be an integral part of the overall solution. Solar power can be as much as $8 per watt or $8,000 p/KW and as low as $3,500 p/KW capacity (capacity, I mention is the capital cost to build the facility); wind $3,500 p/KW capacity ... however, wind generators are not the best technology everywhere, especially low wind areas.
Algae ... at least RWE is closer to $2,500 p/KW capacity. We are working hard to reduce this to under $1,000 and we, unlike wind and solar, can consume the Nox and CO2 produced by existing coal fired generation plants. The limit to how much energy can be produced with algae is land mass, which to replace all imported oil would require approximately 17 million acres; however there are in New Mexico and Arizona alone about 48 million acres of land that is not used or cannot be used for farming, which makes it ideal for our systems.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA, Aug 14, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- BioCentric Energy Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: BEHL) today announced the company's first successful harvest of ALGAE for the production of clean burning Bio-Diesel fuels significantly exceeded expectations yielding almost 30% more ALGAE than originally projected. The crop produced from the company's on site closed loop Photobioreactor is now on a continual harvest cycle and is producing sufficient ALGAE to produce approximately 8 gallons per day of Bio-Diesel fuel which equates to almost 50% of the crop produced from the 1800 square foot test system. In addition to the Diesel product, the harvest produces high protein animal food supplements which do not require any additional processing. The combination of the Bio-Diesel and animal food supplements makes the production a very cost effective system and profitable solution. Using the company's closed loop system, license holders operating a one acre ALGAE farm would be able to produce in excess of 50 gallons of clean burning Bio-Diesel per day along with significant animal supplement nutrients for retail distribution.

BioCentric Energy Shareholder Update
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA--(Marketwire - July 13, 2009) - BioCentric Energy Holdings,
Most Inexpensive Solution, by a Long Shot
Inc.(PINKSHEETS: BEHL) Shareholder Update:
President of the National Algae Association, Barry Cohen, while in our corporate offices in San Juan Capistrano, California, participated in a discussion arranged by the BioCentric Team and a representative of a public company that has 61 operating locations coast-to-coast in 50 cities, approximately 6,400 employees, and approximately $1 billion in annualized revenues.
The Engineering, Procurement and Construction representative asked Barry Cohen for his thoughts of BioCentric and the onsite Photobioreactor, his comments were, "BioCentric is the 'Wal-Mart' of the Algae Business... they provide the most inexpensive solution, by a long shot... they looked at the business of algae farming and calculated how to make it significantly less expensive than anyone else... and their ongoing future developments will continue to hold that lead for the foreseeable future."
Additionally while Mr. Cohen was present at the company's headquarters the definitive dates of January 4th and 5th 2010 have been established and arrangements are now being made to hold the first conference of the West Coast Chapter of the National Algae Association in Las Vegas. Mr. Shen, a member of the National Advisor Council for the NAA, Mr. Fisher, President of the West Coast Chapter of the NAA, and the BioCentric Team, along with the assistance of Lisa and Barry Cohen will fine tune this event in the coming months.
Mr. Shen leaves this week to meet with Biocentric associates in the Czech Republic to define priorities, allocate resources, and commit to a definitive plan of action. In the second leg of his travels he will be visiting China to manage the initial procurements.
Dennis Fisher, CEO, BioCentric Energy Holdings, Inc. today stated, "The last days of assembly could not have been completed without the incredible efforts of Lowell Brittain and Patrick Kuykendall. In their efforts they built a component that before now had only been conceptualized. Consequently they will have their names on the provisional patent. When you are lucky enough to assemble a crew like the BioCentric Team, it is truly a wonderful experience."

"I forgot to include the subject of a Forward Split in my last post"
IMHO:
I could only consider Forward Split if we have Profits at the end of the year and as way of redistribution to shareholders. I think it is too premature to think about it.
Furthermore, I'm certain that with the coming promotion there will be some dilution in order to get the needed cash for further acquisitions ( Biodiesel and Magnegas Distribution, Waste to Energy, etc. ) and commitment to the Behl projects.
An educated guess , a 5 Mil. shares added to the floating. If Promotion succeedes, ENTK could get around a liquidity of $20 Million. More than enough to fulfill plans and due expansions for this year.

Organization members include airlines Virgin Atlantic and Air New Zealand, cargo carrier FedEx, the Air Transport Association, a number of alternative energy companies and others.
Last May, an alternative energy startup, Sapphire Energy, announced it had produced 91-octane "green gasoline" from oil extracted from algae.
Meanwhile, oil giant Chevron and the Energy Department's National Renewable Energy Laboratory have entered into a joint research effort to identify algae strains that can be economically harvested and processed into transportation fuel, including jet fuel.
And Shell, BP and other big energy co-mpanies have begun their own algae oil research projects, Hazlebeck said.

News release
A press release couple of months old, but very interesting, so included it here
New Algae Oil Products Valuable as Nutritional Therapy for Triglyceride and Cognitive Benefits.
A recent international peer reviewed publication places a question mark on biodiesel from algae oil as a current business model for commercialization. In contrast, the report points to established leadership and commercial viability in nutritional oil markets.
Is Algae Oil Fuel or Nutrition? New Algae Oil Products Valuable as Nutritional Therapy for Triglyceride and Cognitive Benefits.
Chapel Hill, NC, December 10, 2008 -- Very high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acid triglyceride side chains may be the obscure reason why even after nearly 20 years, largely by the US government agency NREL (National renewable Energy Laboratory), that algae oil research has yet to strike oil for fuel commercialization.
The report identifies polyunsaturates as an obstacle that can accelerate oxidation, polymerization, and gum formation in combustion engines. These and other issues may ultimately be preventing certification of the final biodiesel product for commercial sale, despite the high per acre yield potential when growing algae oils. The near term value of microalgae oil may not be cheap fuel, yet the global value of algae oil has just started being realized in nutrition products.
In addition, three dollar per gallon biodiesel is nothing compared to the five hundred dollar per gallon wholesale value of nutritional omega-3 oils made by algae. Currently, C. cohnii and Schizotrichium sp. microalgae oils are sold in the open market with FDA approvals for consumers and infant formulas, each granted strong safety designations as natural food products sold worldwide as bioactive nutraceuticals.
Incredible India may be the future for algae oil research. Published in the Indian journal Everyman’s Science, VOL. XLIII NO. 3, Aug - Sept ’08, Pg 164-168, on behalf of Indian Science Congress Association, the article titled “Is Algae Oil Fuel Or Nutrition?” was written by Scott Doughman, PhD and Srirama Krupanidhi, PhD, each with The Department of Biosciences, Sri Sathya Sai University, Prasanthi Nilayam, 515134, India. While with the Department of Nutrition, School of Public Health, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, 25799, USA, Dr. Doughman established the basis for a new company called Source-Omega, LLC.
The company was formed after Dr. Doughman first published a review of algae oil clinical trials; Doughman SD, Krupanidhi S, Sanjeevi CB, Omega-3 fatty acids for nutrition and medicine: considering microalgae oil as a vegetarian source of EPA and DHA, Current Diabetes Reviews, 2007 Aug;3(3):198-203, Bantham Press. Currently, the company’s docosahexaenoic acid therapy is promoted as a clinically optimized nutritional support program claiming docosahexaenoic acid is associated with a reduced risk to onset of Alzheimer's dementia and cognitive decline and that no other long-chain fatty acid can demonstrate this benefit.
Source-Omega, LLC, Chapel Hill North Carolina, USA, is currently a start-up located near the Research Triangle Park specializing in the branding, marketing and globalization of algae oil products as a leading internet distributor of products under the brand names PURE ONE™ for triglyceride lowering benefits and OMEDHA™ for protection from cognitive decline, promoting health and wellness with clinical docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) needed for every stage of life. The company manufactures DHA supplement products as a sustainable vegetarian source of DHA omega-3. For more information on Source-Omega visit www.source-omega.com.

BioCentric Energy Receives $500,000 Research Funding From Private California Group
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/14/09 --
BioCentric Energy Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: BEHL) today confirmed the company received $500,000 Research & Development funding from a private investment group
Company President Dennis Fisher stated, "The results of the Annual ALGAE Biomass Summit event in San Diego, California last week were just phenomenal. The serious conversations and inquiries concerning BioCentric's closed loop Photobioreactor system stemmed from leading oil companies to competitors striving to achieve similar manufacturing equipment and technological advances. The relationships and alliances established from this show should place BioCentric in a major growth position by the end of the year. The funding we received this week is from an established "Green" orientated investment group who would like to see the company further enhance the ALGAE reproductive systems both in equipment technological advances and enhanced reproductive methods such as the "Lipid Trigger."
Completion of filing Government grant applications through the Department of Energy (DOE) who have significant funds set-aside for companies such as BioCentric for ALGAE research and development processes.
DOE Announces Nearly $80 Million for Biofuels Research and Fueling Infrastructure
January 13, 2010
U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Steven Chu today announced the investment of nearly $80 million under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for advanced biofuels research and fueling infrastructure that will help support the development of a clean sustainable transportation sector. The selections announced today—two biofuels consortia for up to $78 million to research algae-based and advanced biofuels—are part of the Department's continued effort to spur the creation of the domestic bio-industry while creating jobs.
"Advanced biofuels are crucial to building a clean energy economy," said Secretary Chu. "By harnessing the power of science and technology, we can bring new biofuels to the market and develop a cleaner and more sustainable transportation sector. This investment will help spur the creation of the domestic bio-industry, while creating jobs and reducing our dependence on foreign oil."
Biofuels Consortia
Two cross-functional groups will seek to break down critical barriers to the commercialization of algae-based and other advanced biofuels, such as green aviation fuels, diesel, and gasoline that can be transported and sold using today's existing fueling infrastructure. The selected projects consist of leading scientists and engineers from universities, private industry, and government, and will facilitate sharing expertise and technologies.
The two consortia selected for funding are:
National Alliance for Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts (NAABB) ($44 million): Led by the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center (St. Louis, Missouri), NAABB will develop a systems approach for sustainable commercialization of algal biofuel (such as renewable gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel) and bioproducts. NAABB will integrate resources from companies, universities, and national laboratories to overcome the critical barriers of cost, resource use and efficiency, greenhouse gas emissions, and commercial viability. It will develop and demonstrate the science and technology necessary to significantly increase production of algal biomass and lipids, efficiently harvest and extract algae and algal products, and establish valuable certified co-products that scale with renewable fuel production. Co-products include animal feed, industrial feedstocks, and additional energy generation. Multiple test sites will cover diverse environmental regions to facilitate broad deployment.
National Advanced Biofuels Consortium (NABC) (up to $33.8 million): Led by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, NABC will conduct cutting-edge research to develop infrastructure compatible, biomass-based hydrocarbon fuels. The result will be a sustainable, cost-effective production process that maximizes the use of existing refining and distribution infrastructure. NABC will investigate a variety of process strategies and down select to those closest to larger scale demonstration. The NABC plans to further develop these strategies to deliver a pilot-ready process, with full lifecycle analysis to measure the environmental benefits.
Collectively, these consortia will be matched by private and non-federal cost-share funds of more than $19 million for total project investments of over $97 million.
Secretary Chu also announced today the selection of eight infrastructure projects to receive up to $1.6 million to support expanded fueling infrastructure for ethanol blends. The projects announced today will expand ethanol blends infrastructure at existing retail fueling locations in nine states: Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. The projects plan to install E85 pumps, retrofit existing pumps to dispense E85, and install blender pumps that offer ethanol blends up to 85% at over 60 stations. Collectively, the projects propose creating at least 45 E85 dispensers and 16 blender pumps along key driving corridors and areas with higher concentrations of flexible fuel vehicles.
The infrastructure projects will be matched with $3.9 million in non-federal cost-share funds, for total projects investments of $5.5 million.

Sure glad I locked down more shares today.
Chuck. I worked as a PM.
Sales cycles were as long as 18 months for the product line I supported.
We have new uncertified product , we have a recession, we have municipal barriers, we need a commercial beta test site on-line for a customer (happening at RWE site) . I see it all happening right before our eyes in the timeline I'm tracking.
Nothing is guaranteed for a stock that sells for 1 cent. You will have to take your own business and life experiences, apply them to what you see around you, and make your own decision.
A startup with a 6M order is unprecedented. The shareprice will jump once revenue starts showing up on the books. It's an educated gamble. Commercial Harvester is on line at the end of the month. Product should be moving out the door very soon.
Believe or Don't Believe. Your Choice.
Dopehy. You sound just like Greedy
I thought you were done with this stock for good. Never to return.
Why waste another ounce of energy here If you have sold and are convinced it is a shame.
Unlike you, I feel very confident in the future and in life.
I take my Omega 3 daily while you continue to eat Corn in your Masters Fields
Dad once bought Corn Fed Chickens and they were like rubber.
Mom had to boil them for 12 hours to soften them up. You are what you eat.
Your Master is calling. Run along
You were bang on with your last call
Let's see how you do tomorrow . 5 days up 3 days down.
Fits the standard model for next leg up
