RENO, NV -
During his last State of the Union address Monday night, President George W. Bush asked Congress to fund "new technologies that can generate coal power while capturing carbon emissions."
He also called on Congress to "increase the use of renewable power and emissions-free nuclear power."
MINING NEWS: Prepare for 'wild and woolly' 2008
Curt Freeman's Alaska mining news summary:
Expect High Commodity Prices, Worldwide Demand For Metals, Strong Investment
Curtis J. Freeman
For Mining News.
For any of you who have experienced that odd quiet before a big storm hits, I'd suggest you grab Toto and head for the root cellar because the "quiet" is about to end and the perfect storm is about to begin! I say this because the mining industry took its collective breath during the last month and recharged its batteries in preparation for what looks to be a wild and woolly 2008. Commodities prices remain high; worldwide demand for metals and energy minerals remains strong, and investment capital is there for quality mining projects. The gloomy outlook on the U.S. economy only serves to highlight the opportunities presented by the mining industry.

welcome shadown i'm looking for the news that will take us higher this is a good company slow growth is what we want and then a buy out I try and not to hope to much cause you don't make money on hope although I am full of hope, good solid DD is where the money is and they have it at AULO good trading to you
it looks real slow here today ABVG looks as if it has gone flat line, AURC better get off there hands or we will be going flat to theres a lot of hard facts out now that are makeing us look bad
hope we are not throwing in the towel here haven't heard much on this one latly
looking good today! we should be seeing some good upward moves in this one imo gold over 920 whoo
looks like we are stuck in a trading range side way no up no down, like to see a break out up but need more stores on line
a steady move up a little each day and we can get some streanth built in for better moves ahead I think
gotta have all your nuggets in a row to do that lol
thats what I am doing just setting it out not willing to buy any more I know you can say the price is right but with hard neg news I ll just set and hold
Alaska when did this state come into play this week is the first Ive heard of it being a part of AURC for more than a year no one has brought up Alaska theres just a lot that keeps getting added every time things head south next it will be a mine in Colorado. I just feel that AURC needs to come out with some hard facts now its been a year and everything found and said makes them look weaker and weaker, don't get me wrong I am long but doubt is setting in. we need some solid facts not roumor and hopes you dont make money on those
I think that benzdealeror2 is hit the nail on the head here as much as I hate to amit I think we should hold but no one buy any more until AURC comes clean and they have a lot of mud to clean
I'm still long here but I will not buy any more until this all shakes out. For to long none of us could find any real hard facts on this company and then mine web got into the mix, I have read mine web for a long time and ther coverage has been very good on other companys so I will hold what I have but add no more.
so is it news that will take us higher? I personaly think that we should be going higher lots of gold and the green fuel is a win win all the way

Copper Outlook
Taking into account forecasts by the International Copper Study Group (ICSG), Merrill Lynch, the RBC Capital Markets group and other analysts, NMA forecast that copper mine production should increase by at least 6% to 17 million metric tons this year. ICSG predicts that refined copper production is expected to grow 4.6% in 2008. Global demand for refined copper is expected to average 6% in 2008, according to the aforementioned sources.
However, they cautioned that "the rate of increase in both China and Russia is expected to begin to slow and most analysts expect that copper use in the United States will show a decline."
The NMA forecast that U.S. copper mine production is expected to increase to 1.25 million metric tons in 2008, the highest level since 2001. 'Based on forecasts of the analysts cited herein, NMA believes that U.S. mine production will once again show a small increase this year, despite the continued decline in actual copper use."

Aurelio Resource - Putting S.E.
Arizona back on the Map
As I write this week's letter, I am sitting in
McCarron International Airport having just
arrived on a flight from Tuscon. South-east
Arizona is a special place for me and I have
been making yearly visits to places like
Tombstone, Bisbee, and Douglas for nearly
7 years now. For those of you who have
never been to this part of the world, I
strongly suggest a visit. Fly into Tuscon and
point your rental car east along I-10 in the
general direction of El Paso, Texas. Exit I-10
at Benson, Arizona and get onto Hwy. 80. If
you are feeling a tad hungry at this point,
stop in at Reb's Diner and slide up to the
lunch counter for some good old fashioned
home cooking. Continuing on, your drive will
take you through the tiny hamlet of St. David
and before you know it the historic town of
Tombstone will be visible on the horizon.
Watch for Boothill Graveyard on your left
where a good many gun-slingers of fame
and fortune were buried with their boots on.
On your right is Main Street where you can
see daily re-enactments of the Gunfight at
OK Corral. Once through Tombstone, keep
enjoying the rolling expanse of high desert
as you continue in a southerly direction.
Soon you will begin to climb and the terrain
will take on a more rocky appearance. You
will go through a tunnel and as you emerge
on the far side prepare to be amazed. What
lays ahead and below is the historic mining
town of Bisbee and off in the distance that
gaping red hold in the ground is the
Lavender Pit - at one time the largest open
pit Copper mining project in the world. When
Phelps Dodge ceased mining operations in
the Bisbee area in 1977, the entire town fell
into disarray. Before too long, California
folks ( ie the hippee crowd) found their way
to Bisbee and bought old abandoned
company houses for $5000 each. Next
came the entrepreneurs like the one from
New York who bought the old Copper
Queen Hotel and the one from San Diego
who bought the old Club 400 building and
turned it into condominiums. And today the
tourists come in droves to walk the winding,
narrow streets in search of pottery,
gemstones and oddities like locally made
Killer Bee Honey. Oh, and don't forget the
biker crowd dressed in black leather and
driving their Harley's. You can find these
free-spirited, and very friendly folks
congregating at the Old Tymer's Saloon run
by my good friends Charlie and his wife Gail.
Indeed Bisbee is a very quirky town with
something for everyone. But more
importantly, it is a town that will leave your
soul feeling rested and right with the world.
This particular trip to Bisbee was decidedly
mining oriented. I spent several days driving
about looking at where various exploration
companies are once again exploring for
Copper. I even found one that is one the
verge of production and I will write about it in
my next edition. On one of my journey's I
ended up east of Tombstone not too far from
the now abandoned towns of Courtland and
Gleeson. A firm called Aurelio Resource is
busy exploring in this area. But, Aurelio is
not just another junior company aimlessly
drilling holes in the ground and talking a
good story. The folks at Aurelio are the real
deal and their Hill Project near Tombstone is
their flagship effort.
The Hill Project is a Copper-Zinc concern
that right now consists of 3 known areas of
mineralization. There are 5 other areas that
are crying out for the drill bit. The 3 known
areas of mineralization are the MAN, the
Courtland and the South Courtland areas.
This particular part of Arizona is not an
unknown quantity. In fact, back in the 1980's
Santa Fe Pacific Mining was very active with
the drill bit. Sadly enough, Santa Fe could
not escape the shackles of low metal prices
and their drilling efforts went unrewarded.
But, Santa Fe's 64,000 feet of drilling is now
making the folks at Aurelio smile. Thanks to
this old drilling work done by Santa Fe,
Aurelio was able to issue a press release
back in October that summarized the MAN
area mineralization as follows:
The independent mining engineering firm
that authored the report also concluded that
approximately half of the MAN deposit
consists of chalcocite, which could be
processed by low-cost heap leaching and
SX/EW recovery.
Results on the South Courtland area are
now starting to come in. Take a look at the
following data from just 2 holes.
Drill Hole Length Zinc Copper Silver
BR07-30 300 ft 1.30% 0.12% 1.7
gr/MT*
Including: 160 ft 1.88% 0.14% 1.8 gr/MT
BR07-31 125 ft 0.88% 0.32% 4.6 gr/MT
Including : 55 ft 1.83% 0.53% 3.6 gr/MT
In particular take a look at the Zinc grades
and Copper grades, but more importantly
take a look at the thickness of the
mineralization. Any time I see grades like
this I get excited. When I see grades like this
over such thicknesses, I get a warm fuzzy
feeling all over. This is the stuff that mines
are made of and right now Aurelio's
geological team is estimating that the South
Courtland area is open at depth and to the
west. Keep a close watch out for further drill
results from South Courtland.
Drilling in 2006 on the third area - the
Courtland area shows equally impressive
results. A quick look through some old Press
Releases shows grades of 0.93% copper
over 285 feet and 0.61% Copper over 210
feet. Again, results that make me feel very
good.
The following photo shows what the terrain
looks like in the area. What excites me the
most is the fact that you can easily drive
right to these properties. Power for an
eventual mining operation is nearby as is
other infrastructure such as
accommodations for employees in places
like Pearce and Elfrida.
Right now, Aurelio has only 34.5 million
shares outstanding. The following chart
shows price action over the past year.
These are tough markets right now and
Aurelio has been ravaged along with many
other junior resource stocks.

At current prices, Aurelio has a market cap
of just over $10 million. But, this market cap
does not even begin to come close to
reflecting the value intrinsic in just the MAN
property alone. I will conclude this brief
write-up by simply saying that Aurelio is an
under-recognized story that deserves a
closer look. Things are happening in S.E.
Arizona once again and Aurelio is well
positioned to benefit.

Canadian junior pretends to Russian Gold, but Russians say otherwise
ABV Gold cannot substantiate its market claims to a multi-billion dollar gold and silver property in Russia.

MOSCOW -
In the folk history of the Russian trades, it was always said that a tailor lacks trousers, and the shoemaker lacks shoes. A Canadian from Montreal, promoting a penny gold mining stock registered on the U.S. Over-the-Counter market (ABVG:US) is writing a new chapter. This is the one about the gold miner without a goldmine.
According to a posting on the ABV Gold website, on September 24, the company "closes acquisition of a 70% interest in a producing gold mine in Russia." The link from this announcement leads to www.pinksheets.com, where there is no record of the transaction, the value, the price, or the "producing gold mine."
A few days later, on October 14, Dan Ryan, the President and Chief Executive of ABV Gold, posted an "open letter to shareholders", responding, he conceded, "to repeated queries about the status of our company, in particular, requests for more data concerning our gold mine holdings in Russia."
I can't make a privet reply but i am long and pay little to those who are neg. all my favorites are in my profile except for SRSR looks like it could be fun.

LATEST DRILLING RESULTS ESTABLISHES LINK BETWEEN MAN & SOUTH COURTLAND AREAS OF HILL COPPER-ZINC PROJECT
LITTLETON, COLORADO, January 17, 2008 News Release #08-02
Aurelio Resource Corporation (OTCBB : AULO, Frankfurt : F3RA) today announced results from recent exploratory drilling between the MAN and South Courtland areas of the Company's wholly-owned Hill Copper-Zinc Project, located in the Turquoise Mining District, Cochise County, Arizona.
As shown in Table 1 below, drill holes BR07-33 and BR07-34 demonstrate significant thicknesses and economic grades of zinc-silver-copper mineralization in a previously un-drilled area between the South Courtland and MAN zones. The decision to drill in this area was based on surface reconnaissance mapping that noted pervasive turquoise veining.

Hole BR07-34 (located southeast of BR07-33) bottomed in copper-silver mineralization (the final five feet graded 0.21% copper, 0.10% zinc and 1.1 grams silver per metric ton), but had to be abandoned at a depth of 285 feet due to water inflows. The Company plans to re-drill and deepen this hole at a future date.
Additionally, the Company reports assay results for drill hole BR07-32, which was drilled as a step-out to hole BR07-18. The results (shown in Table 2), further extends the broad zone of zinc-silver mineralization running through the South Courtland area.

These results validate the geologic model developed by the Company's geologists, as well as demonstrating the continuity of mineralization within the South Courtland area.
I think we are seeing the lows and it should be getting ready for blue sky before long if I was flipping I would have a good long position and flip only a smaller position that way you are covered the drill results look really good to me and the green fuel can't help but be a winner and China seeking silverados teck for a plant this one should be a winner very soon. Good trading to you
I think this one will have the most groth and GSPG will be the fastest and in third SRSR good luck trading
Drilling revealed a main zone that contains significant gold and antimony drill intersections (see Figure 1). Silverado Gold Mines is currently in the process of driving a tunnel into the Workman's Bench mineralized zone to intersect the main zone that contains the gold bearing antimony-quartz veins. The underground exposure of the mineralized zone will play an important key role for the company in obtaining a better understanding of the nature of the structurally controlled gold and antimony mineralization in the Solomon Shear Zone. This will significantly support Silverado's exploration strategy.
The following table provides a listing of mineralized intersections from the 2007 Workman's Bench drilling program:

All drill core was logged and photographed by Silverado geologists. Once all technical data had been derived from the core, the core was cut lengthwise. The half-core was sampled by pre-determined interval based on geology, and placed in sealed sample bags labelled with the assigned sample number. All samples were delivered to ALS Chemex in Fairbanks for analysis. A sample quality control/quality assurance program was implemented, and results of the program determined to be acceptable.
