Even tho full-up, I couldn't resist moving a bit from another stock and adding a little bit of "icing" to the cake this morning... Gotta have faith I guess.... (and solid titanium balls, lol!) GLTA!!
Bingo! That's the post of the day Jannie!
JMHO GLTA
Question--anyone know who the urban real estate ventures guy is---the one that used to have a boatload of SLJB info on a webpage?(Urban Real Estate Ventures I thnk it was) There was alot of older info there that may be of interest to the newbies if he would put the page back up....alot of it is on the Ibox, but I'm not sure if all of it is there?? Been awhile since he took it down...JMHO GLTA
Exactly correct IMO, good post!
Doesn't make sense to not continue to strive for a nasdaq listing as it is a much more lucrative option for the company and it's shareholders than the OTC, IMO.
Bottom line is since Petar has taken over as CEO, nothing much has been said about anything in all honesty. But the original PR's directly from the company are still intact, and it is honestly not Petar that I am concerned about, it is MY money that is invested into THIS company, SLJB. And one man does not a company make, tho he may indeed be an integral part--I have yet to see him walk on water tho, lol. (no offense Petar!)
So, to that, I say these items should still be valid... simply because we have not received anything pertinent to the contrary. JMHO, GLTA
Welcome! No reason why it can't run to $4 or more, IF everything goes as planned/originally PR'd. All of this was supposed to start playing out back in September, but we had to wait a few extra months for some reason....I'm not going to go there and speculate however, lol.
JMHO GLTA
Now is not the time to be wussin' out, now is the time to grow a set and become a man! (Strong women of course are invited along too---in fact, all women are invited! )
I've heard all of the hot air on this board now for months, good and bad, and we've all had time to figure things out for ourselves---too much time in fact....DD has either been done, or not, and I think many here did nothing other than read the board itself, that is why they are so emotional. But yet after all of these months, now we get down to it FINALLY, and everyone wants to run for the hills in the last remaining hours? Wow. I've only got one response to that---
Wuussies!!! lol.
Like usual and as in all things in nature and life, the 'true' strong will see it thru. JMHO GLTA
IMHO it kept the pps low and enabled some of the larger hands to load their shares much cheaper, which keeps them happy. (and also enables them to buy more if they so choose) Everything has been PR'd repeatedly, and Wessal has been buying right along so that tells us alot right there in a nutshell. I don't think they would dump millions into this stock if they didn't KNOW it was a good play for them. IMO we will finally see some of the things that have been kept quiet while all of this loading was going on, and then it will be too late for shorty to cover simply because most of the shares will then be in strong hands that won't give them up until it all stabilizes at a much higher pps level. This will also in turn give us the needed push towards valuation for nasdaq uplisting. Pretty nice plan IMO IF that is what is indeed happening.
I may be completely wrong on this, but....guess we'll have to wait and see...tick, tock... you can almost feel it, close now, excitement builds......JMHO GLTA
Good post, and I agree. More here than meets the eye I think, and lots we've all forgotten about due to general lack of updates in recent months.
(or was that on purpose? Hmmm)
For instance---what ever happened to the 280 room luxury hotel (what was the name again?) on Al Reem island that we bought land for and were building--supposedly "done deal" on or around May 18? The PR was May 17, supposedly to start this past August I think it was. Land was 29M, hotel to be 645M, land bought and financing secured, sometime around that May 18 date. Last whisper I heard, "licenses were being secured", but that was some weeks back as I recall. Anyone have any updates?
And of course there are other "choice" projects, such as the $350M "signed" cement deal (yes we've got/no we don't, depends on their mood so who knows?) as well as a handful of lesser ones too. Since Petar took over as CEO tho, not much has been said about any of these, but rather all current emphasis being put on the "little local" Canada projects instead. Again, what ever happened to all of the "big enchiladas"?
Two possible scenarios that I could see with regards to this--
1) There was ALOT of BS being thrown around before Petar stepped in as CEO,
or
2) There are alot of VERY nice things that will be "re-introduced" into the overall picture in the very near future---they were just "put aside" until it was time to talk about them again.
I'm betting on with my investment money, option #2. Hope I'm right...
JMHO GLTA
Bottom line is this:
Today is Saturday. By Wednesday we find out the REAL DEAL. 4 days my friends and the clock continues to tick...Good luck everyone!
Good, bad,or ugly, at least we'll know one way or the other, FINALLY.
And then at that time we can either laugh with joy or cry with anguish, smile or pout, set up a new bank account and order cool new toys, or load our Tango 51's, contact "associates", and go find us some scumbags.
Really, it's that simple. No need to complicate things IMO.
I look forward to seeing good things, and smiling large. The DD should prevail.
JMHO GLTA
And fondling your XM21 too? What a picture Snips...they are gonna lock you up fer sure, lol.
Something like that works well on a river with definitive directional flow, but how would one get that to work around a 1-3-5 mile island in the middle of a lake with no definitive flow direction? Would be tough at best, and very costly if possible at all. The erosion of the breakwater wall/ring would be much, much greater than that of the current Palm island, and maintenence on it is high there even tho it is basically sheltered---it would be insanely high with ice flow issues and the typical Erie climactic changes-- you know, the "wait a minute if you don't like it, it'll change" ones that are so prevalent. hehe.
Nope, too cold! lol.
Thanks for the DD Allinone!
Now go find some juicy stuff from sandland, worth oh, about ten times what you just found, OK? Thanks! ;-P
We can only hope!
Hmm, fluff PR...I think PV's just setting things up, and I feel he will still release AF's early. Sly old farmer looking to lock the jackals in the henhouse so they can't get away---then he'll "dispose" of them once caught, hehe.
If not, then you don't wanna know my second guess...lol. We'll see soon enough, locked and loaded---let's go SLJB! JMHO GLTA
I personally think that SLJB will have all of their ducks in a row at the release of the AF's, (they've had plenty of time to do so!) and will release a boatload of info concurrently with them. This will quickly and effectively spike the PPS to correct levels if done correctly and with the increased interest, verified legitimacy, and help from larger, deeper-pocketed players, all will also quickly bring PPS up to Nasdaq minimum requirement levels. SLJB and the other entities involved have been planning this for some time and I'm assuming want this to go to the Nas as quickly as possible, and I think they (hopefully) have been using the extended delay period as a vehicle to set everything else up as well for a fast transition.
I think this will go much faster than any of us imagine once it is(finally!) set in motion. JMHO, we'll find out soon enough as the clock is ticking! GLTA
Good morning SLJB longs. Trying to catchup on many great posts here as it seems some of you have been extremely busy over the weekend!
Seriously, thank-you for some great input-- the ones that have given it know who they are. You can be assured your work is much appreciated by those of us longs who have no agenda here (other than to pad our portfolios with the rest of you, lol), and who unfortunately do not have the same amount of time to spend on DD that you do. Looking forward to good things in the coming days and weeks with SLJB.... Again, thanks. JMHO GLTA
Now the question---does SLJB have anything to do with all of that? As stated, solid verification that we are involved yet again with Emaar would IMO have a significant impact on not only investor confidence but PPS as well. We have not heard anything more about the $124M Emaar "done deal" in Germany, and I think that promoting deals like this would inspire alot more investor confidence.
Have a good weekend all, see you Monday!JMHO GLTA
Emaar Vision 2010:
http://www.emaar.com/AboutEmaar/InvestorRelations/businessstrategy/
Business Strategy
Our key strategy to achieving “Vision 2010” will be “growth”. Growth will be our mindset, our architecture, in this era of virtually unlimited opportunities. No business sector is too mature for growth. No market is a hundred percent penetrated so as to deter entry by new, more competitive players. We will be wired not merely for growth, but with profitability and capital efficiency. We do not regard growth as a straight line shooting up, uninterrupted. The journey to the top is not for the faint-hearted. Emaar will need leaders and people with the courage and stamina to ride the rough with the smooth.
On the ground, the first step of our growth strategy will be to formalize a direction – Emaar as one of the world’s most valuable companies – and to pursue its ruthless execution. The second element of this strategy is business segmentation. To be the most valuable company in the world beyond real estate, we have to create business clusters functioning as different growth engines. These growth engines will grow concurrently, converging into a single entity in 2010 as one of the world’s most valuable companies, “The Emaar Group PJSC”.
It has been stated that Emaar already has many companies under it's umbrella, and is picking up speed on this too heading towards 2010 and fulfilling it's "Vision 2010" of being one of the largest companies in the World.
Only question is whether or not Wessal is indeed under the Emaar umbrella at this time, and in turn Consultech/Sulja as well. If we can gain definitive confirmation of this possibility either being fact now or a possibility of fact soon, then yahoo---yes things will bounce up big-time IMO just due to the connection verification.
Either way I think we have some real juicy items in the hand that will be revealed to us very soon. I have no problem watching this grow once we gain solid verification of financials and assets and future projections--- the bulk of my shares are certed and locked away, with a note attached saying "do not open until Jan 08 or $36 PPS". The rest of this interaction-hubub now only pertains to my immediately free-to-trade shares, and amount of new "play" money I will gather in the near future. ($4 overnight would be great tho!lol)Yes, long and strong will win big on this one however. JMHO GLTA
Week from wed., no biggie.
That's better than nothing. They have set a definitive date and I can accept that. JMHO GLTA
Of course...these are trying times for those who bought in at sub-penny or even up to say 2-5 cents. Do they take the quick profit now, or hold thru the turmoil and drop in PPS and confidence? The MM's know the game, and they play it well. Lots of people on edge and many weaker hands will sell-- and make no mistake, there are sellers born every day too, especially ones that have already made money here.
All it does is create the market, and helps us move to the next PPS level and stronger hands. JMHO GLTA
Sellers gone and volume drying up is not a bad thing, especially if there are still alot of shorts out there that need to cover, it will create a squeeze of epic propotions. Everything will thus spike up significantly upon release of AF's and PR's of new deals, signed contracts, new acquisitions, possible mergers, etc...realistically we have not seen any info on these things (or anything about the assets either) since way back in what-- July, or early August? Look back at all of the info we received prior to that, darned near something every week. IF they have been stockpiling everything, we will undoubted see alot of new and supremely juicy info right after the AF's. I believe they are plotting this all very, very carefully for maximum impact. JMHO GLTA
Hmm. Sounds like she's been in awhile if what she states is true. I was also in SONS and made some nice money in 2000, and glad that she, me, and everyone else who were in were able to do that--- I know one friend who walked away with over 34 million on that one in fact--and that is what it is all about. I'm hoping for a nice return here as well over time.
Hopefully her "birdie" is reputable, and we can get this albatross off the ground. JMHO GLTA
I didn't state he WAS there, I just threw out the possiblity that he MIGHT be there. Wishful thinking maybe...lol. Tho after checking I did not see the name Sulja on the exhibitors' list...
Could be Petar was at the "Big 5" show the past few days, locking down some more deals.. It wrapped up Wed night:

'Among the major deals that were announced at the show was a contract worth Dhs. 20 million which will see Somec Sharaf Middle East installing aluminium and glass window glazing for the 44 storey Dubai Jewel Tower in Dubai's Technology, E-Commerce and Media Freezone,' said Bernard Walsh, Managing Director or organisers dmg world media Dubai.
Other Big 5 deals included Sigma, who received five orders worth a total of Dhs. 1 million for their linkable lighting towers (two from Saudi Arabia and three from the UAE), while first time exhibitor Mil-tek discovered the unique business power of The Big 5, recording an order worth US$22,000 with many more solid leads that the company is confident will result in even more sales. Waterjet Corporation, which manufactures water-cutting machines won a US$2 million order.
Turkish company Yorukoglu Machine Industry, part of the 66 company strong Turkish presence at The Big 5, signed four deals, including one from Iraq, for block-making machines and a batching plant worth US$640,000, and Al Khaleej Ceramics Company confirmed an order for 50,000 square metres of antique-finished porcelain glazed tiles.
Elsewhere at the show, new relationships were being formed, with many new agents appointed and distributorship agreements signed. Announcements included Bayer Material Science and Pearl Insulation Materials, who will open a polyurethane systems house joint venture in Dubai, and Gliderol International Industrial Doors signed an agreement to open an office and manufacturing plant in Sharjah.
Canada, which this year expanded its presence at the show by 40%, also enjoyed success at the show. Winters Instruments, who deal in temperature and pressure gauges for the oil and gas industry, signed a three-year deal for the Bahrain and Saudi markets worth in excess of US$1 million in the first year, and Icynene Incorporated and Better Insulation Construction Systems completed a deal that will see Parand Afra Pars Engineering Co., handling sales and distribution throughout Iran.
Al Hunton of the Ontario Trade Commission from Canada said, 'It's been an excellent show for us - some of our exhibitors have signed great deals, and we are delighted with the contacts and leads that we have picked up.'
IndePane, also from Canada, signed a three year deal for their Dusco Doors with Elegant Products, a leading door manufacturer from Hyderabad, India - it is anticipated that the value of this deal will run into six figures.
Meanwhile, 2006's Big 5 proved, across all criteria, to be the biggest and most successful ever held in the long history of the event, breaking all records - it completely filled eight halls plus the Sheikh Rashid Hall, Sheikh Maktoum Hall, The Pavilion and the new Zabeel Hall.
'Showcasing 2,892 companies from 67 countries, The Big 5 has once again showed why it is so highly rated and respected by the global building and construction industry,' added Walsh. 'By the close of the show, we will have welcomed well in excess of 42,000 visitors, which is far above our initial projections, and feedback from exhibitors has been extremely positive, 72% rating the quality of visitors as good or excellent.'

Good man, Tex! Knew I could count on ya!
Tell you one thing Jimmur74, if this IS a scam, there are alot of people sitting in the same black hole with you that will me SOME PISSED, myself included. And to be honest I will be the first to say-- "toss me another clip brothers, cause we're going on safari!" IF that is true. Make no mistake about that. I don't cater to thieves and cut-throats, not in my DNA, and I'm a pretty fair hunter of "elusive creatures".
But--
I don't think that is the case here. I Really don't. Could be wrong, but my gut is pretty good usually. Something is simply messed up, or the stars need to be aligned, or something...
Just remember: You are not alone in this, so take solace in that---lots of good people have alot of money tied up here, and there is some very powerful strength in their numbers. JMHO GLTA
Just passing the time by typing up full sets of audited financials (based on the numbers provided by the company PR) in 156 different languages-- even including braille, dolphin, alien, and of course, messageboard troll.
All "Just in case". Wouldn't want to have yet another delay, would we? lol. Might even have them done before the actual AF's come out!
Still holding! JMHO GLTA
$30 per share?
I for one do not care who knows what or where info comes from, as long as the info these indiviudals have is CORRECT, is stated as such, and they pass it on freely to the rest of the shareholders, rather than dangle it like a carrot in front of a starving gerbil and hint, dink, and dunk, and try to be the "popular hero"---this is what ticks me off with those who think they have all of the inside scoops---90% of them are in fact FOS. (IMO) Even if they do have legit "inside" info, it is then of course their legal obligation to share it publically with all, otherwise they could in fact be called to task for it as was mentioned.
Bottom line---if you have solid and/or pertinent info, give it up and we will all collectively benefit as we are all in this together as shareholders. If you do not and are simply playing schoolyard games, please stop as there is alot of money on the line here, and I for one have no time for such nonsense and foolishness. I know others agree. JMHO GLTA
Gotta agree with that....but IMHO and as much as I hate to say it flippers certainly help make a viable market too, and will help us reach the "long" pps levels. In fact shorty will also, once the squeeze is established firmly and effectively. JMHO GLTA
I honestly think they are simply crossing their "t"s and dotting their "i"s, making sure everything will flow smoothly. Yes, the MM's know something is up IMO, we saw not one but TWO with asks of .72 yesterday, hmmm....everyone is impatient and rightly so, but....
Someone is holding this puppy afloat and keeping it within a very tight range---questions are who and why-- if it is a typical penny P&D then it doesn't make sense.
Therefore, I hold. And wait, albeit very impatiently. Been here a long time watching the grass grow. I look at all of the other plays I could've been in over these many months, but something is still very appealing to me on this one, possibly because it revolves around the construction industry and I am familiar with that. Dunno exactly, but I am still holding out the hope for AF's soon and Nasdaq by early-to-mid 07. The clock continues to tick.... JMHO GLTA
In the construction business patience is not a heavy virtue because it is a fast-paced, time/deadline-oriented business. That is why I am having trouble understanding about the delay of the delay of the delay. Someone has got to be ripping their hair out.. Do I believe the company is legit? Yes. Do I think the AF's will actually come out? Yes, IF they come soon-- again I don't understand delay upon delay, that tells me either something is up, or someone is incompetent with their IR and PR's to investors. I owned my own construction company for many years and have been an unrestricted Construction Supervisor in multiple States for over 25 years, and can tell you IMO this is not a good way to start out in a fast paced environment with eager investors waiting to throw money in the companies' lap.. The Arab investors also will not wait around long because time is money to them, neither will deeper pocket individuals---they may come back later, but the best way to entice buyers all along the way is to get momentum going and keep it going, and let everyone hop on and off along the way as the pps goes up. A company that loses momentum for whatever reason normally takes that much longer to gain it back again, pps will follow that momentum too. Just my two cents as someone who has "been there and done that" in this business field. Bottom line is that the company needs to show not only us little players but the larger investors that what they claim is truth. The rest will all fall into place accordingly. Still here, still holding... JMHO, GLTA
Thanks Braden, GLTY also as well as everyone. We are all here to make some money and have fun, right? My problem is that I just dispise when people promise things and do not follow thru on a timely basis---pet peeve of mine.
I'll get over it.
But that would play into the hands of those who are pulling the strings trying to shakes shares, correct? Nah, I'll hold thanks. Still think the AF's will come soon. JMHO GLTA
