picked a little up on the opening dip today. only wish I had the funds available yesterday... oh well, up from here I'm hoping.
A question for the larger group. I had been assuming that the string of announcements related to the Starbuds acquisitions would each give the stock a boost. Now I'm beginning to think each announcement may lose a bit of its ability to move the stock as the certainty of the acquisitions increases. I agree this stock is worth more, but right now, there isn't a willingness to pay what it's worth out there right now. And sooner or later that news of starbuds gets baked into the view potential buyers have of the stock as a "given", and different news is required to drive it higher.. More and more I feel it will be the earnings report that will drive this up, that we may drift until then without other major changes at the national level regarding pot legalization. thoughts?
Steven,
I think a lot of us did exactly that over the years. I wasn't quibbling about pennies when it was in the 1.12s, or even 1.40s or 1.60s. I'm cheap, but not that cheap. You are right, if you think shwz can match say the revenues of Charlotte web with 1/4 the unrestricted shares in the float, be rev positive say in the next few weeks when the ER comes out, and if you believe Dye's claims of the revenue target, pennies on the dollar right now are meaningless. Get in, go for the ride. Otherwise it's pennywise pound foolish.
Keep buying Doc and get it there for me... That's retirement level pricing...
I personally think 30 is a stretch this year, not that I wouldn't mind the stretching. pot legalization, then 20 is in reach for sure. I've learned to temper my enthusiasm over the years...
been here since 11/20/18, like you added to my position over time. I came originally since I was attempting to cover the various states in the US, believing that down the road most of these smaller companies would be gathered up by the bigger fish. I was about 3 years early on the M&A madness I guess, judging by how 2021 is shaping up. Though it was just an M&A play for me originally, once Dye got on board it was a whole new ball game.
Been here 3 years, can wait another 3.
vireo - almost bought into last week as another us pot play. I still feel shwz is the better option right now.
could be a solid Friday - a number of cannabis stocks including shwz looking to have a strong open. Up on a Friday is always a good thing. Here's to seeing another couple of starbuds locations added in next week! I'd love seeing us add two more, another PR, another round of good news, then another two, more PRs, more eyes on the stock, reinforcing management is delivering to new investors...
great to see them PRing this immediately. The final ones can't be far behind.
share the link with friends - more investors looking at this the better!

in facility, put sbud
or search on DBA and put starbuds.
the facility is the cleaner search.
that action toward end of day indicates that - not sure the exact timing this was posted to the CO site. Just tripped on it after close.
nice to see the incremental progress. loving 2021 more and more every day.
I'll admit it. I didn't expect this company to immediately secure 11m in financing based on their history.
sbud now showing two additional locations in Mountain View

Getting Wyden in the catbird seat bodes well. Couple this with the news we saw regarding Schumer consolidating legislation, and the fact the Republicans are forced into a position of "Standing up for law and order" by preventing pot decriminalization (which angers people of color as well as large swaths of their white constituency) or they get onboard the creation of a whole new industry in the US with the benefits in tax revenue to every state and the nation (Job creators). I can't see the Republicans after losing the Senate due to the votes of people of color in Georgia going against the pot tide at this juncture. Political suicide for them. Five years later than I wanted it to happen, but I really think every day pot legalization is just around the corner. And they have models for taxation across multiple states to leverage, experience in Canada on the law and order front, etc - not like they have to create all this from scratch.
Nothing random about it. Those with money have power, those with power make the rules to benefit themselves by making more money and consequently holding more power.
Fair compensation for executives is fine, especially when it's truly performance driven, clear metrics to determine it is deserving. I as well would like to see more detail on the criteria for these bonuses for example, shareholders deserve that transparency.
Interestingly, nearly every major study shows that the companies with the highest compensation of their executives tend to do worst as a company. There's a tipping point where the investment in the C-Suite actually undermines the company over the long term. Look at the drug companies - some of them spent double on share buyback to pump their stock up than they did in R&D. How is that beneficial in the long term to the company as opposed to the few at the top? It's not. Especially when these comp packages aren't tied to performance - the execs can flame out and still get golden parachutes, incompetence actually being rewarded on a grand scale.
We investors here are among the minority in America actually buying stocks and investments outside of 401ks. We then are aligned to the execs also seeking to pump our net worth. We though aren't compensated even when we perform badly unlike the CEOs.
The appeal against ITHUF was rejected. This thing will fall like a 747 without engines upon open.

Lesson, always bet on the side of corruption... it wins in the end.
Let's remember this when 6 months from now the new term is the Cannabis Kibbutz... LOL
I am the only one collectively bored out my socks regarding the collective language? What matters is the Schumer news and MJ, and the upcoming dispensaries being brought in house. For all we know they used collective because it has an earth crunchy flavor that would play well in the counter culture pot world of Colorado, nothing more. In the end, it's not going to cause any effect on this stock one way or the other.
You beat me to it - been waiting for news like that since Biden one. this could happen in this session of congress - huge news.
potentially. he is a heavy hitter, lots of experience in supply chain and M&A. Prior relationships to Dye. Coming out of retirement, seems to me he's doing friends a favor, probably enjoying the challenge (guys like this don't usually stay "retired"), and likely has deep pockets. seems a grid add to me as a replacement.
I'd suggest reading the stickies in relation to your concept of soon. Starbuds acquisitions, next earnings, any announcements of further acquisitions will drive this stock. And that's not counting any changes in US legislation, etc related to cannabis.
I'll chock it up to a state managed website... the site was barely working on Monday, so they're probably still working through issues. thanks.
when I do the facility search using starbuds as the DBA, I only get three entries related to sbud - the sites in Denver, pueblo, and Commerce City. Not sure why there's a change from the other day.
has anyone else Che cked the CO licensing site today? They were having glitches earlier in the week, now I'm seeing only 3 entries under sbud.
further proof the word is getting out on SCHWAZZE when the trolls show up. As irritating as it is, it's a good sign.
I like the purchase, I was surprised to see the reaction by the market. But I'm surprised by the market all the time... I like the EBITDA hedge in it as well, and the 4 x price seems reasonable for what they're getting. I'm holding for now.
I do a daily check of SHWZ news, and today is the first day multiple new references to shwz are out there. Good or bad in terms of what these sites offer, the fact is SHWZ is now a player, becoming more and more a known entity worth consideration. As they say in Hollywood, even bad publicity is publicity.
and shwz is in a comparison of Canadian vs Us cannabis stocks - though the comparison is in favor of Canada pot performance vs US, nice to see more exposure for SHWZ from being on these lists, especially with its 100% increase leading the list.

This is also a nice look to see Shwz yesterday one of the few green us cannabis stocks

https://www.investorsobserver.com/news/stock-update/will-medicine-man-technologies-inc-shwz-outperform-the-industrials-sector
A rating of 85 puts Medicine Man Technologies Inc (SHWZ) near the top of the Industrials sector according to InvestorsObserver.
Medicine Man Technologies Inc's score of 85 means that it ranks higher than 85% of stocks in the sector. In addition, its overall score of 91 ranks it higher than 91% of all stocks.
only if they the Canadian entity became the primary company I believe. More important though, is getting the stock organically to a point so that when legalization comes, the move to a major exchange can occur without the need for splits or further dilution (there are liquidity requirements that need to be met as well). I'm in no rush for SHWZ to be on a major exchange this year.
105k shares in a half hour. North of 500k trades today seems easily doable today. wouldn't mind another million trade day to keep the fire burning.
that was one of the most fun days I've had watching the trades in quite a long time. Good luck to the longs.
running into the close, 1 mil is in reach
chances of hitting a million in volume today...
VLNCF to purchase LYF edibles for 24 mil CDN. Market doesn't appear to like the news.

Biden is turning his executive orders this week toward the economy and racial justice. I doubt we'll see anything on pot this week out of him, but since drug laws are a major element of racial injustice, something he does could indicate later directions his admin might take... I'll be reading those tea leaves this week
