I agree wholeheartedly. All I can say is maybe it coming.
Old Mexico, great idea. But they just don't have the money to take out a 30 second super bowl ad anytime soon I'm afraid, not even a 15 second ad. Now if they really have ties to actor Luis Guzman, if they could get him to start to wear Viva Live apparel during his interviews in front of cameras, millions of eyws would be on him. People would start to ask who is VIVA, and what do they do,etc,...Luiz Guzman is staring in a new movie about the planes that crashed into the twin towers in New York. The actors and actresses all go tours just before movie premiers to promote upcoming movies. Senior Guzman said on Entertainment Tonight that the movie has real meaning to him being that he lost someone close to him in the twin towers on 9/11. Things like that could go just as far as the TV screens scrolling VIVA info at a concert. Love your super bowl idea though. If we see that, we know we've mad it.
Heck No!!! That's not asking too much at all. I think I remember seeing a valuation of .84 pps for every 100,000 subscriptions. So 500,000 would be huge.
That may be the reason VIVA chose to use N.Y. affiliates to start things off. But we have no idea if they are using that to their advantage. A couple of concerts in N.Y., advertising in Time square, Madison Square Garden. To me, that is the stuff I call low hanging fruit with exposure to nearly 9 million people. And tons of spanish speakers in N.Y. I get it that a number of the Spanish speakers in N.Y. may not be native to Mexico, but Spanish speakers none the less. Sorry, I'm preaching to the choir.
Before I'm jumped on, I know, I know, I know. OTTV is no Netflix. But most companies operate with a tremendous amount of debt.
https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/04/20/the-dumb-reason-netflix-is-piling-up-debt.aspx
I know I've said it before, but with 8.6 million New Yorkers, how could we not see 100,000 in N.Y. alone by the end of the year. The New Yorkerz will practaly get all their local news and local sports, so even the lack of movies and DVR at the moment shouldn't hurt as bad.
Yep. I remember having those 3 channel days too lol. We always got those cheap tv's, and the dial break and we would have to use a pair of vice grips to change the channels.
Just read an article yesterday on Yahoo about cutting the cord. The guy writing the article was talking doing just what you did, which was going to an OTA to receive local channels. It was a trip reading all the comments from people who were glad to get rid of cable and go back to a regular antenna. A lot of them remember when TV was free, so they have no prob dropping cable.
Gotcha. Triad will be franchising their internet services. Live TV + premium channels, + movies, and internet, now that would be a sweet bundle for Viva. When I perform a speed test on viva's site, I'm only getting 15mbps, with virtually no buffering or freezing, so 200mb will be more than enough for what we're using here in our home. Thanks for the info.
Can someone explain the role between triad wireless and VIVA again. Maybe I misunderstood triad's role. I thought triad would supply wireless internet service for Viva nationwide once JF gave the word to flip the switch. But how is this possible if they are based in Arizona. Or is it marketing only with triad? Confused??
Really nice post. Spot on!
Thanks N.N.P.
Hahaha. Love the idea with the wife and the ladies room. That's thinking outside the box.
How long did it take to get the posters and flyers?
Couldn't agree more!!
I agree percival77.
Hey acampors, you said a little while back, that unless you are a die hard sports fan, that there are still a lot of games on. As a University of Memphis fan, I've never really had a dog in the hunt (especially in college footbal) in college sports since Calipari went to Kentucky. But man I'm getting proof of it right now. There are a ton of games on!!!
This is going to be long, but it's something I've been thinking about for some time. I think what has driven day traders, and some regular people nuts is that with Viva, they saw the same thing that so many of us saw, but through a different pair of glasses. That was a ton of potential. At first many thought Viva would trade exactly the same way as companies they had familiarized themselves with previously in OTC markets. But as they they began to look deeper, they came to realize it was anything but. This was something that didn't have to wait years for some trial results to be finalized, FDA approval, and eventually trickle down to the masses to use an example. Here was a company with a product that you could see, touch, and try out, and it wasn't so expensive that only a privilieged few couldn't give a try. Some even subsribed. (More on that later) Here was a product that they saw that offered HD quality TV channels, without the buffering/freezing so many of have seen in the past. Holy Crap Batman!! This thing is legit. They were used to half baked ass companies pps shooting to a dollar or two with nothing but fluff news and or half truth PR's involving mergers/aqusitions LOI's, and then come crashing right back down to were they started. When a lot of flippers got into OTTV back in mid to late June, Viva was up and running, at that time. Most of the leg work had already been done. Never mind that they didn't have HBO, CINEMAX, or SHOWTIME then, or a functioning CC portal. A lot of companies have shot up to a dollar or two with a lot less, surely Viva will too. But when Viva didn't shoot to their projected pps point in their time frame. That's when flippers/daytraders lost their bearings, and wanted Viva to go back to a typical OTC company. They went onto twitter as well as this board, and start to scream, "where's my PR, where's my fluff news so that they can get that little pump in price, watch it get to its HOD, sell, rinse, and repeat, just like typical OTC garbage they've become accustom to. This brings me back to something that really tickled me. When the stock didn't hit $2 in two weeks, those who had signed up for the service, decided to cancel their service. That really proved that they didn't really want the service anyway. Even if they didn't get rich overnight, the service is friggn excellent. With the content Viva is offering for the price, unless they were using an OTA antenna, most people will see big savings over satallite or cable prices. Keep the service, but drop the stock. But in a vain and vindictive manner, they canceled their service I guess to hurt the company. Well a typical OTC stock this ain't. If JF and his crew had put out nothing but half truths, and exaggerated claims of deals that were never going to happen, the SEC would have eventually come and supended them from trading. Maybe not in a month or two, but the suspension would have come never the less. And all the talk of NASDAQ and everything would have never come to fruition. Also if they don't put all the building blocks in place from the outset, this thing is going to collapse under its own weight, being that they rushed the thing out there. Therefore, customer service would suffer due to being understaffed, they can't get enough set top boxes out due to overwhelming demand, crappy pictures, etc, etc. Many a company have failed not because of lack of demand. But because demand was so great, they couldn't keep up due to poor initial planning. Some of us here have touched on this before, but if you haven't yet, go to HULU's comment board, and Sling....OMG. HULU and Sling are well established, they can work through their short coming. Viva can't. As we have all heard time and time again, you only get one chance to make a first impression. I would much rather JF and his associates build a company with unlimited potential with a solid foundation first. And not (metaphorically speaking) out of a straw hut. So to the flippers who don't own shares, or those who would like to, but have become frustrated with the company because Viva hasn't hit your get rich price yet. Put OTTV on your watch list, and come back once you see the price start to go up. For now, just find the typical OTC companies out there that will shoot up 1000% , and come crashing right back down in a week or two. Once again, this ain't your typical OTC company. So make your killing with them. They are out there. Also to my friends who have been members on IHUB's board for years, you guys are seasoned Vets at this. I really don't think that you have to pummel the crap out of the company to get the price to sink to a point where you can make truck load of money as you load shares. Any entry point at this time will reap huge rewards for you as well. I feel that until those movies are loaded, the DVR is fully functional, the hard launch happens, or some blockbuster news comes out, we will trade in this channel for some time. A few ticks up, a few ticks down. Is it frustrating for me? You bet your bootie it is. The tweets about movies that have yet to come, missed NT, not having any idea of the sub count, and few other things. I'm not totally blind to things that I would have loved to see happen. Those things cost money though. But damn they have come a long way in a short period of time, and they are continuing to build upon what they all have established. Happy Trading!!! GLTA
Hey whitie, how long did it take to get your box?
Youre consistently on this board, so I'm sure you'll know before any of the rest of us.
Yesterday whitie, I ordered and was #399 with paypal. It does in fact appear as if there are different numbers for subscribers depending on how you pay

No way did I think I would be able to buy in this low. Not even a week ago!
Don't bite my head off with what I'm about to say ChillinZX. But I think maybe he and his team have been totally inundated with what is truly a massive undertaking. They're not trying to open a tree cutting service. Having said that, everything has been pushed back and rolled out late, but they are coming thru. So will the NT. Now if this NT had been filed on time, I would have been shocked.
I've have to respectfully disagree with you on that one whitie. For the younger generation. At least the adults in their early thirties and younger, a lot of them could care less about live tv. I work with a number of them who no longer have cable or satellite at all. But they swear by HULU and Netflix's VOD. And I kinda look look at it like the successful big box stores. Hell, you can buy household good, groceries, banking, prescriptions, get your oil changed, get yo hair did, blah, blah, blah. You don't have to pay one company for live tv, one for movies, for internet. It's all condensed, pay it once and forget it. That's why IMHO, I think movies and DVR are really important for Viva as they try and take it to the big dogs.
Just subscribed, wow they do respond back really fast. If I'm not mistaken, madrabbit said there are 4 differnt tiers when it comes to sub #'s. I used paypal also. But mine said #399.
Yes, we're close with content, but I'm really looking forward to the day we offer as many features. I have no problem with being patient with them. The movies, and fully funtional DVR, yep, it's coming. Subscribing today. I'll let u guys know my sub # after I'm confirmed by Viva.
Even the big boys don't get it right sometimes.

Yes it is, I've read it several times. And sometimes I'm blown away they have a ton of subscribers. But the fact that they where the first to really push live tv on the OTT platform is what has got them here. And they haven't had any real competition from the Live Tv perspective. Prayerfully that's all about to change.
Kvr10, when HULU sent an add across my Facebook page about HULU Live around two months ago, I went straight to the comment section, and sure enough, a lot of their customers were pretty unhappy with HULU then. I told about Viva Live, and to take a look at VIVA as a viable alternative. I also said that 10,000 movies, and DVR are coming. That way no one wouldn't feel short changed if they tried to find it if I told them about the mothem. I got a lot of questions from HULU's customers too. Cost, channel content, Hispanic inquiries about Telemundo, Univision and so on. Just keep it real. Thanks for all the effort though.
Just took a look at flexfling's sign up page. And I distinctly remember JF asking how does $6.99 a month sound for all movies. And flexfling's page offers all their movies for $7.99. And a free movie on us is on the page too, just like u said. This won't be bad at all when eveeeeeeeeeeeever they finish loading them, along with the DVR. Viva will be hard to contend with.
Heeeeeeey, what up hdw2620!!! Asked about u yesterday. Good to see u back?
Ariana Grande was mine.
Smart way to go really looking at things demographically. But it goes back to sports again, and how important soccer is to the rest of the world, including the Hispanic community.
I sent VIVA a tweet about Dish Network refusing to pay for increased fees for FS1. No response, maybe an email would have been better. So of course that means Sling is without FS1 this years too. No FS1 means no big 10 games this year and that is huge. I read some comments from Sling customers and they aren't happy one bit about losing ALL Big 10 games. Dish Network's customers are calling them cheap. Hahaha. That could be an opening if Viva were to add sports channels to their line up this year. But I'm pretty sure sports channels aren't high on Viva's priority list at the moment.
I tried to say very good article. And it's a little over a month old now, so some things may have changed with some of those guys.
I'm somewhat surprised that Viva didn't make sports channels their next big step up after they added HBO, SHOWTIME, and CINEMAX. Fan
is just a derivative of fanitic. When it comes to sports you can just pick any adjective to describe how sports fan feel. Passionate, nuts, obsessed, crazy. Got to be a money and or licencing issue with all the different leagues is all I can guess. If they can get them all for around $15 a month when they finally add them, that would be nice.
I read an incredibly in depth article about a month and a half ago. It ran down the Pros and Cons of top 6 streaming providers. The biggest plus for FUBO was all of the soccer games they offered. The knock on them I think was just their lack of channels.
