Those UFC vs. Pride PPV's will be awesome. My brother (who watched UFC 1, so he's been into it for a loooong while) and I always felt Pride was the better organization as far as fighters and "excitement" went. I hope UFC aren't too arrogant and realize and incorporate the good qualities of Pride in their presentation as time goes on.
Now you're starting to sound like Cosmo... don't make me put you on iggy too.
Sorry Ranzy, I need more than that to spend $40. Throw in Cro-cop, Tito, Matt Hughes, Silva, etc. and then I start to get interested. Seriously, this is the weakest card in a long time for UFC.
I looked at the card and was very disappointed. This time no $40 from me. They really have to start beefing up the matchups, most likely by incorporating more Pride fighters now that they own them.
LOL, you owe me some lunch money sd. I'm 40 with an MBA in marketing, so I can appreciate where you are and what you've done. Touché.
Obviously you're not in marketing. A stupid cat isn't gonna make 18-35 males subscribe to TFN.
They are all VERY funny. But seeing how the U.S. is so politically correct and uptight they may catch some flak for some content in them.
Yes, the way I read it. Mike stated in that same document the following:
Blackout Communications controls the license by virtue that it owns 100% of the outstanding shares of The Fight Network.
If you download and read the pdf of "answers to additional questions" there is a chart clearly identified as shareholders in Blackout Communications (see question #3). Also, the reference to Blackout Communications owning 100% of the outstanding shares in TFN is clearly mentioned in question #5.
Because Randy owns shares of Blackout Communications (which is privately held) and NOT shares of BKMP like we do. And because (as Mike stated in government documents):
Blackout Communications controls the license by virtue that it owns 100% of the outstanding shares of The Fight Network.
That's NOT what the pdf from the government site says...
just sayin'
But that is better than owning BKMP, that's my only point. He could conceivably see cash dividends etc. long before BKMP does, right?
Randy has 100K of Blackout Communications, that's NOT the same as Blackout Media (BKMP).
I stand corrected, and i'm happy again (phew, I was worried for a bit). Actually this is a good thing, like JackofSpades mentioned, it's in Sandy's best interest to make BKMP kick ass, it's the only part of this he has shares in.
Scroll to #3, The Fight Network, download, and start reading (there's lots to read)!
Bottom line is TFN increased O/S from 15M to 17M, we still own 3M (thru Blackout Communications), so our % ownership has decreased from 20% to 17.6%.

It sure did shut things down, didn't it...
Let's see some volume @ 4 into the close...

Well said Scott, I agree completely.
Endless 3's? Any L2 change?
Maybe block trades are exempt, or maybe delayed trades?
There goes the 9M block theory.
1:00pm 1 on 1 - Nick Bockwinkel according to TFN site.
Just providing the DD, you decide... LOL
Last sale was 9:37. Who are you kidding?
So what? It's called marketing. Increased exposure of your product is key.
I see nothing wrong with their strategy right now. And I wish it were a gajillion, nothing wrong with that either.
From the PR, looks like they will charge starting 2008...
"All live and archived events in 2007 will be free of charge to end users. Starting in 2008 ZIMTV and TFN will offer various packages to end users who will be able to choose from purchasing a single event or opt for a monthly subscription which provides access to several events per month."
Meanwhile, we need injections for PPS gain.
Way to break the news EARLY morning LP640!!!
No ideas. I really do like that the Sirius broadcast starts immediately. Things are moving at a very fast pace. Now all we have to do is get the stock moving as well!
DD: From TFN's Friday March 23 Update
*The LAW is happy to announce that we have reached an agreement with Sirius Satellite Radio to start airing on the Hardcore Sports Radio channel on channel 186 beginning with this Sunday’s show at 11pm EST featuring C.M Punk and Chris Jericho. This is a huge deal for us here at The LAW as it allows us to be broadcast live in the United States for the first time in our history and to also hit all of Canada making The LAW the most accessible wrestling and MMA show of its kind on both satellite and terrestrial radio. There will also be another big clearance announcement this Sunday on The LAW.
