And Bruce Linton, Canopy Growth CEO,
Tryna type when the toddler is putting sand in his face... cheers.
It's a long listen, but very broad coast to coast phone in from Canadians of all voices. I particularly liked to hear the woman who is concerned about the driving regulations that put medical Cannabis patients at odds right off the bat. I'm almost certain I'd have to not drive for days in order to pass that test
Guest Speakers on the program include MP and parliamentary secretary to the Justice minister, Bill Blair

Which oil was it? I use Bedropuur. It's the best for me so far. 24% this lot. Usually it's 20%. Way better than smoking. It's relaxing to puff, but a big wast of cannabinoids in my opinion.
Wow! On a real, education is gonna have to be a huge part of these regulations, cause a lot of people are going to do the exact same thing not knowing what to expect. Edibles will be a big part of the market. Everyone I've ever seen taste edibles for the first time says right away, " I don't feel it." And then want more than they initially did. 5mil? Your a Champ
That's good projection. At 10k new registered patients a month and ~ 40% under the canopy, those numbers could be surpassed through growth. Exponential that is
Thanks

Hmmj closed at $11.84 cad Toronto exchange April 10th. Rising tide?
Thursday. Tabled this Thursday. 30 grams at a time . Penalties for sale to minors and driving under influence. Approve road side saliva test. Public awareness, and marketing limits. 18 legal age minimum. Provinces take the cake on distribution.
In Bruce style, we wouldn't hear anything about it until it's material confirmed. I remember a radio interview he did a while back when he was talking about tire kicking for LP and LP Applicant acquisitions. Turned out to be Mettrum and Vert. So the inferences are great. What is Canopy CEO doing in a nation with an already aggressively established and expanding Medical Cannabis program? Who knows. But they did just propose this past March to lower the penalty for non medical possession.

Here's a little doozy from April 5, 2017
Loblaw is covering medical marijuana for workers. Will other employers follow?

As I understand, the conversation is questioning what dollar value Mettrum inventory will add to Canopy Q4 after the acquisition, and the reply as I understand is " conservative " and "incremental", assuming because x amount had to be destroyed to be rid of the bad myclobutanil omen.
April 7, 2017, when Tweed goes off line for a few days . No sales to be had. Coincidentally, first draft legislation tables the same week the Tweed Mainstreet Hub comes back online. Maybe another million dollar day? Maybe another dollar day?
"Vahan Ajamian
Gotcha, okay. The inventory and in the quarter was CAD51 million. Can you give an order of magnitude as to how much you would have picked up from Mettrum upon acquisition?
Tim Saunders
Well, that number does not include Mettrum at all.
Vahan Ajamian
Right.
Tim Saunders
So Mettrum will be included at the March balance sheet date, their inventory levels are conservative level in terms of dollar amount so they had less product available in the store and they may have - may or may not to buy some product or sell. So any of that I don’t think it will be it sounds like times too it will just be an incremental to record inventory levels."
This is the quote I was referring Mr or Mrs Aces
"We have one of the largest cannabis genetic libraries in the world with over 244 varieties of marijuana on hand, many of which are proprietary and one of a kind. "

I wonder what the ratio of Green House to Indoor Facility will be during this expansion. The need for both a smith fall and a tweed Farms has proven invaluable so far. And Goldman us there to execute quickly for build and lease if necessary.
Saskatchewan is known as the bread basket of Canada. Prairie skies. A green house might do well. "Grass" lands. Pardon the pun.
Geographic diversity also seems to be a consideration for Canopy. Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan.
The Canadian Federal Government seems to be ready to hand in the first draft of the Legislation the week of April 10th. But what do the provinces have to say about this? After all, they must be ready to receive the massive punt 7-1-2018.
Here's an article with a response from a minister from 5/10 provinces and 3 Territories. B.C, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Nova Scotia.
Quote Alberta Premier Rachel Notley from this article:
" Alberta Premier Rachel Notley said her government will be making decisions about the "complex issues" raised by the change in federal law, once it has a copy of the text.
"We'll be working very furiously on it, there's no question. We're concerned about ensuring safety and health of young Albertans, and we're also concerned about ensuring that we don't somehow kick-start another black market," Notley said.
Furiously!
I'm very interested to see who will be leading the way. I expect Ontario to be out in front because of its sizeable population, large consumer base. And BC also because they really would like to be the Shining star example, the Amsterdam of Canada maybe.
Who provincially will be ready on Canada Day 2018, and who will not? I think they will all be ready to some degree more than others. Foot dragging won't help them when provincial legislature grounds are lit up in haze that day, and days after, ready or not.
Gonna be WILD!

Id like to repeat this, just because its a great one to shake the head on.
Cannabis Legalization in Canada is no longer an "if", or a "when".
Its a "wait".
Industrial Cannabis Olympics happen July 1, 2018. Canadian Economies are strengthening their muscles for the big sound off.
How boring the discussions have become, a bout taxation levels, and fluff. Boring, right.
I'd like to see all the standardized manufacturing practices under the canopy operations in canada and any international because that will be the bar of entry, the mote, in Germany, and more often I think going forward, for medical/ pharmaceutical at least
What type of impact do u think Germany may have on the medical market in the interim? I think it can support the exponential growth we've seen in Canada alone over the past couple years
Huh, 5 quarters after thought. Very interesting times.
6 quarters.
How about looking at it that way. Which what is the "Industry projections in that time frame?
And what is Canopy Projection? ( list here the miles of tape and DD).

Something is happening. This is an interesting article. Very high standards because distribution is going straight through pharmacies and irradiation required.

Hi,
We want to thank you for being a valued customer and share some very exciting news with you. Early next month, Tweed customers - along with those registered with Bedrocan Canada and Mettrum - will all be able to purchase medical cannabis products from one place.
Introducing, Tweed Main Street.
In April, Tweed.com will transition to a new website, called Tweed Main Street. You will still be able to purchase Tweed products, but you will also gain access to all of the medical cannabis sold by Bedrocan Canada, as well as Mettrum.
What to Expect:
No changes need to be made on your end to your medical document or your registration. We’ve done all the heavy lifting, so that next month, you can enjoy online access to your favourite curated cannabis products - all from one spot.
Over the coming weeks, we will continue to provide you with updates on the new site.
Some things to keep in mind:
If you type in “Tweed.com”, it will redirect you to TweedMainStreet.com (so no need to learn the new URL right off the bat).
Right before the new website launches, the Tweed, Mettrum and Bedrocan Canada sites will be offline for 2-4 days while we make sure that everything is perfect. We will notify you in advance of this happening, and we also let you know once we are back online. During the time that we are offline, you will not be able to purchase any medical cannabis products from us - this includes phone orders as well. Please keep this in mind while planning your orders over the next two weeks or so.
When the new site is up, we will send you an email notification to let you know that you may order. Your login credentials will remain the same as they were on “Tweed.com.”
Tweed Main Street will offer customers the same Veterans Program and Compassionate Pricing Promise as offered by Tweed currently.
When you transition over to Tweed Main Street, your personal information and medical document will remain at Tweed so that we can continue to serve you from the new store. The data at Tweed will be treated the same as before: with the utmost care.
We are incredibly excited about this new way to shop, and to broaden the variety of products available to our clients. Tweed Main Street lets us offer you, our customer, as well as your healthcare practitioner, the simplicity of knowing that all of the products of three of the largest producers in Canada are available in one convenient location. Please visit our blog in the lead-up to April as we will be sharing more details about the new website, and addressing some Frequently Asked Questions from our customers as they come up.
If you have any questions specifically about Tweed Main Street please send an email to TMS@tweed.com and we will get back to you shortly. While we see this as entirely positive, if for any reason you have concerns or questions, our Care Team is here to help you through the transition or to otherwise ensure you remain completely satisfied.
This is a bold new step as we seek to bring you more reliability, more variety and more product availability. Thank you, as always, for being such a valuable Tweed customer.
Sincerely,
Your friends at Tweed
Bonjour,
Voici Tweed Main Street.

.Bruce Linton: ‘I’ve gone from high-tech to dot-com to infrastructure to cannabis’
I got into this business [I'm in now] after reading a newspaper article that said the police chiefs of Canada think their membership shouldn't enforce the laws as they relate to marijuana because they're unclear. I started poking around. I thought, 'When in my life am I going to see a supply chain for something [that] quite a lot of people need and want and like, created by a government action?' I went around asking people if they wanted to start this one with me.
The first four said 'Are you crazy?' I thought, that's terrific. That means there will be even fewer credible people that want to start them because the ones I spoke to think it's horrible, not because of the business, but because of the reputational risk. I thought, 'If you sit around and do nothing, isn't that also reputationally bad?'

The Liberal government will announce legislation next month that will legalize marijuana in Canada by July 1, 2018.
CBC News has learned that the legislation will be announced during the week of April 10 and will broadly follow the recommendation of a federally appointed task force that was chaired by former liberal Justice Minister Anne McLellan.

The bare shelves I was referring to were Mettrums, due to their destruction of inventory. The question was asked on the CC about what type of increase in flower inventory Mettrum might show January-March, and as I recall, to date on the CC, Tims comment was something to the effect of minimal
"Outside of index funds buying Canopy, there are a number of upcoming catalysts to keep the bulls in charge. This includes March numbers that include Mettrum"
This was discussed on the CC. With registration on hold, the shelves emptied and the general Stigma that began 2017 for Mettrum, these numbers may be severely stunted
“Project Gator was designed to disrupt a large franchise operation of alleged high-level drug traffickers,” said Toronto Drug Squad Acting Inspector Steve Watts. “The public should know that this isn’t an altruistic venture, this is purely a profit-motivated venture. Anyone with a prescription for marijuana can go through Health Canada, who have an abundant supply.”
I imagine that Canopy securities are going to have to be reclassified from Healthcare to Diversified industry once the Rec MJ legislation becomes a reality?
Both WEED and BCE are set to have a great day march 17? Kinda humbling to see canopy grow from private, to iPo, to blue chip contender, and just the beginning.
Canadian marijuana legalization timeline[Historical]: Dispensary raids and major announcements
Posted in this mornings Hi. With Remi blog @ Tweed
http://globalnews.ca/news/3299980/canadian-marijuana-legalization-timeline/
Ha! Most definitely Not!
Another amazingly read and very timely. I wonder if the class action litigants have read this? Cannabis combustion contains 1000x more hydrogen cyanide than the levels of mycLobutinol detected in the samples. So, question, and 500x less than the occupational exposure limits ( over an 8h period I assume). So, the increased risk is minimal.
By my calculations, 2 decades of habitual smoking plus 3 serious lung/respiratory illnesses plus continued daily Cannabis Combustion inhalation may increase my chances of not being able to enjoy my breathing in the future, were my breathing to be compromised further in anyway. So ya, conservative decision making. And as you already know, oils kick a$$ in every way.
