In a word Art,image. Our image borders on Nigerian scam, as far as the investment community is concerned. WB knew it and wanted to get away from that image by wanting to hire US oilmen in key positions according to a reliable poster on this board. Regardless of Offor's so called shrewdness his myopic vision of the "Nigerian" image that this company wears like a badge, to me, is unsettling

This may sound like monday morning quaterbacking, but I was a little uneasy with the way wb starting to email back to people instead of using a newsletter to communicate. It almost seemed like his only avenue to communicate and seemed "cheesy" after awhile. I felt he was frustrated and had nowhere to go. Maybe he was kept out of the loop as far as a buy/in, as it was stated by people familiar with him, that no buyin was going to take place. I wonder if AA or others who have "birdies" have any inclinations to this.

On a lot of transactions, from overseas, a customer will put up a letter of credit, especially dealing with a floating currency like the yuan. It is not unusual for a supplier to demand that type of payment.

I think you can't blame his enthusiasm as he obviously thinks this info is for real. A lot of people have been burnt by their "reliable sources" before. I certainly wouldn't buy or sell on that info, since other "reliable sources" have stated, no way, no how a buy in will happen before discovery.
I for one hope's that his prediction comes true, but being here for over three years, I am not holding my breath.

Sorry that you seem to have problems with "sources" etc. I have called the JDA on occasion and have spoken with Sam Dinka and others whose names I could barely understand let alone remeber. The sources aren't bs and I really don't think that anyone expects you to invest a dime based on that information, certainly not Mark anyway. Your tone indticates that all of this is bs anyway, do you have any information to the contrary?

I remember awhile back I read where ERHE was prepared to sue STP if they tried to interfer wiht their rights in the EEZ. I now belive that this investigation could be a precursor that is sure to follow when and I do mean, whem that bidding gets under way.

Agree with your assessment. Almost proud to be a pink sheet company. Alonso reminds me of a bragging professional wrestler. He plays to the masses not the investor. All these pathetic announcements and bemoaning of the share price just doesn't cut it anymore. Talk is cheap! And at this point all it does his shore up the .03 pps Either they file soon or this will fall sub-penny barring another cat 5 hurricane, witch would be unfortunate.

We are looking at what, worse case, some stinking fines. That also would be a stretch. Worry about it all you want but the awards given to ERHE remain rock solid and nothing about this investigation is going to change that.
