Even though they are a Canadian invention?
I believe that VPLM beta tested more than LI on Tata systems. Also, it was said to me a couple of years ago that Tata had made an informal offer to buy VPLM when it was trading around a cent.
That's definitely the direction I am leaning towards, nice articles.
Absolutely they would acquire 500 million users, when you look at India and China being two of those countries.
You may be right that MSFT are using the technology however the fact that if they were and we already know publicly that they don't own it sure makes it a nice and easy first time litigation if we have to go down that road and thus would surely make this a real easy decision for any interested parties to step up and take a swing at ownership. IMO
Well I give you credit for the fact that the home page does not indicate the recent PR's, I like to call it the grey area. My college instructors did not like my grey area, but they always conceded to it...it was always good for getting half marks, hence you get 50%.
Epsilon, you are half right in regards to what has been posted, if you click the latest news tab you will see all the recent PR's there.
As far as i found, Sourcefire had 11 patents, VPLM is aiming for 12. Sourcefire had annual net profit of $5,000,000... Peanuts by todays standards, Cisco realized the value and paid 2.7 billion. Whatsapp had 1 patent, they got 19 billion.
LMFAO, so what is the weather like in Vancouver this AM...
Lol, I never really expected any of them to, some of those totals btw were the sums of multiple lots, and there was always the chance some of them might have dumped a few for a little cash. The post was to invoke some conversation here as it has been a bit of a status quo week and we have lacked any true conflicting opinions if you know what I mean... ;) That is always good for some laughs imo.
Just in case you were unaware. this group on our BOD was actually on the Digifonica BOD, they only came over after Digifonica closed shop in favour of the US markets were they could bring more capital to the table to get these patents done. Every communication with the USPTO costs tens of thousands, the Canadian market just wasn't getting it done. But I digress, yes it is their one yearish with VPLM...But then again, it is a sign of confidence I believe that they came over to continue this till the end. Just another reason I am in till the end.
17 trades this am, 9 on the ask, 8 on the bid, just bigger lots.
Who says APPLE doesn't like to shell out the big bucks. Maybe Cook will use some more of that extra pocket change burning a hole in the Apple wallet.
Apple Buying Beats Elec
I am all out of posts for today, just saying.
Probably not, personally if. 13 cent shares were the gravy, I will choke down my roast without. And I won't have a problem doing so, I am sure you won't either...
Nothing to do but sit here and wait to see the Form T buy @ 16:05 for 30,000 shares at .1638 cents.
Yup!
Precisely, as long as it isn't the same brainless persons that just sold us down to .13 cents, some people do not deserve to ride this train!
Personally i am good with the way the today and the last couple of weeks have panned out. The tree was shaken and a bunch of bad apples fell out, now we can get back to business with solid investors in for the long haul, many have tried to pull this thing back to a real cheap valuation but now they are not getting it at the bid, they're paying at the ask.
Well I can't say Certainty but I don't think so.
I can assure you there are at the very least a couple more on our side of the fence that know what is going on, they won't be talking either.
I was really rooting for Swami and his inside edge at MSFT.
...And still get change back!
No doubt someone will buy, just a matter of who, when and for how much.
My bad BG, I was thinking a different post, those numbers came from the last company quarterly filing.
HA (frolic with the penguins until the ice melts and they all die off), yes everything is connected. With that said, VoIP is a great way for a non telecom provider to get in the game and spice things up. Much like MS is doing with Skype. But Skype still needs a pipeline of access, aka an ISP
I feel like VoIP is very infantile right now....so the outcome is unknown.
15 years ago the United States Postal Service was cranking, then email came around.....and we all know what that did to the mail business. Absolutely, but we do not need the USPS to deliver email, that was a total switch. Not to mention fax machines. Sometimes I feel like the only people that know how to work a fax machine are people over 50.
Don't be surprised when we see new companies and governments come up with new technologies to make internet access free, good luck with that, next you are going to tell me that the government is going to give us all mansions and make it illegal for us to work, they don't need our taxes to pay their bills right, lol ....AT&T will be selling fax machines at that point.
And one more thing, right now you can do Facetime with an Ipod, AT&T is not getting paid on that, actually they are, it's called the internet pipe into your home or via the wifi network in that coffee café down the street or via the data plan on your phone. unless you have AT&T Uvers (internet plan). I call my family in Peru with skype, all I do is add 10 bucks to my account, at 2.3 cents a minute its a lot cheaper than using my cellphone plan or my landline.
But everything aside, look at your cell phone bill and imagine if you only paid for a data plan, and do you really think that your data add on charge currently at $10.00-$20.00 per month is still going to exist, the difference you will see is simply this, mobile bill, all inclusive, $50.00/month that's how much AT&T is going to lose per month per user when VoIP really takes off. Same thing at home, people will only order internet, bingo, without the internet, you have no VoIP, regardless of whether it is via a mobile phone or a cable strung along those things we call streets outside our home's. and maybe cable.
I guess we sit back and wait to see if it is Carrara Marble, Quart or plain old laminate...
I can see your point but here is mine. The Telecom and cable providers have built and maintain the infrastructure, let's call it the highways. Google, Facebook and Microsoft are what I call the transportation vehicles, all the semis out there that bring you your morning paper and the coffee, milk and sugar to enjoy with it. If there is no highway system, FB, MSFT, GOOG are SOL period.
Do you not realize that this VPLM technology has a patent that allows the providers (telecoms) a way to calculate an amount to bill the end user for use of their highway system. Does anyone here actually believe that AT&T is willing to sit back and allow FB to set up a free calling network on their back and not get compensated for the use of the highway, if AT&T isn't getting paid, we don't have cell phones, cable television or home phones, we may as well move to Antarctica and frolic with the penguins.
Where did I find the numbers, click either of the two links I posted. One is OTC company information and the other Wiki.
Here is a little something I wanted to share, I have held off only because I wanted a good time and seeing as how we have discussed possible suitors today, it fits.
This is the largetst company I can find listed on the pinks, Hutchison Whampoa, they have annual revenue of 389.5 billion with net profits of 56 billion. So if anyone wants to "shine" some light on the unfounded fact that everything on the pinks is a scam, please, I implore you to do so.
Ironically, Hutchison Whampoa happens to be the parent to Hutchison 3G, I am sure to all of you that have done your DD, you will readily recognize that name. Hutchison Whampoa also happens to be one of the worlds largest players in the telecom world...

I see 150k hitting after the bell, 30k hit on a form T for .1536 and then 25 minutes after the bell another 120k went for .1508, both on the sell side.
Fair enough, I just think Zuckerberg is not the guy for this, in fact, the more I think about it, the more I convince myself this is about a network provider, not a rider. Google does not bill people for the data highway, nor does Microsoft or Facebook. AT&T, T-Mobile, Century Link, Verizon just looking at a US base. Omea Telecom who took out Virgin Mobile, Orange, Deutsche Telekom, Vodaphone are all viable suitors and thus gives further explanation as to why this is taking time. We tend to forget the big picture, this technology will have global implications, why not a global buyer. But with that, I defer to Thrill, I don't care who the buyer ends up being, so long as it happens sooner than later and has 9+ zero's... :)
Definitely one of the biggest miser's on the block, but hey, a new CEO, you never know. Honestly I hate Apple products, they only exist in my home because of my kids but personally I wont use them, to many proprietary functions embedded within them that limit functionality.
There is definitely a larger group of potential buyers out there that have not been discussed, I personally don't think Facebook is one of them, or at the very least not with good value. Zuckerberg has stated quite publicly how he is against the NSA and wiretapping so LI probably does not appeal to him. IMO
I am not sure about that but who is to say AT&T isn't the buyer. Even if they were not, there is always licensing. I have given a lot of thought to this recently and I do know last year there was some pretty big efforts to involve the international community in this company, primarily European. With that in mind, who says Orange/France Telecom isn't a prospective buyer, I mean seriously, that is what I call the huge elephant in the room. Our BOD has an enormous relationship with that side of the world and that entity ...
I think we live in the same book!
Correct me if I am wrong but AT&T makes sense considering they are testing the VoIP technology with the FCC currently, elimination of traditional telephony moving to VoIP calling and than add the elimination of long distance and roaming for their mobility platform. Not too far fetched!
Obama did task many areas of government to cut costs.
An issuer is not a brokerage, FYI, it is a trustee or transfer agent. VPLM's is called President Stock Transfer.

Sorry man, i had to do some actual work myself. You are definetly not the last holder... This is like watching paint dry, i am now affectionately calling this the second coming of the Titanic, it is either going to sink with catastrophic consequences or be revolutionary when she lands, and it will land imo, this technology is unsinkable. As far as i am concerned however, there is only one piece of news i am waiting for and i plan on being there front and centre as she rolls in...
My understanding is those numbers are the buys made by each brokerage, total shares purchased through them. RAFF is not buying for just themselves, they are buying for clients.
So yes, I am saying NITE has been the largest buyer followed by VNDM YTD. I cannot sit here and say they are not selling at some point however!
It is possible that RAFF has helped accumulate a large position but there is no where I know of that is going to divulge publicly who has what in total. If you go back to that page however and look at the DEC 2013 report, NITE had purchased over 163 million shares last year, I would say that not all of those are still being held there but a lot of interest from that side of the world.
