< If the start of production on the Iso-Torque develops into any kind of volume the unacceptable stock price should change for the better and maybe all of this will be moot.>
Amen.
< Maybe we agree more than we disagree >
Double Amen. I have listened very attentively, and have been a diligent reader too over the years -I really have..
The Enron relate was in
connection to the historical investment performance-
not the integrity of the management.
In addition..
while I'm sure there are many who wished their grandfather's
had owned 1 share of Haloid, I'm sure there are many grandchildren around the country who wished their grandfather's didn't own a few hundred thousand shares of Enron..! I wish Jim good health and a long retirement, but having been invested here for over ten years..He was no Joe Wilson..Not for the shareholders
anyway....

< The upside we were told was huge. >
In that case perhaps we needed Billy Fusillo and Caroline to close a deal..'work the banks' for us ya know..
Another few weeks..
and 2010 will be half over...If history is any indicator this will sputter and spurt along, there will be another Annual Meeting in 2011 At Cass Larga with nothing commercialized and promises of great things that will happen "in the very near future..."
'overwhelming interest' in the technology the past 10 years but nobody can find their checkbook...."Could you do any better Leitrim ??" as it pertains to shareholders..Could I ( or any of us for that matter) do any worse ? 12 dollars to 32 cents.. I woulda got you five or six on the way down!!!!
<one word came immediately to mind: DARPA>
oh the good ole days....
Just curious.
What are you hoping for..
2.5 Million shares @ .0135 cents a share ??- at this point in time if I was in the largest holders category, I'd be kinda quiet- which in fact it rather seems that they are..??
maybe they are resting up to really hoot and holler..who knows?
I'm just sitting quietly in the corner with my dunce cap on sharing a laugh off line along with fellow longs about pur investing prowess.
Best Regards..I would say good luck but..how's the saying go.I'll lift with glass my Johnnie Walker Blue to toast what we have acheived..the almost complete erasing of hard earned capital..???
but I'm afraid I'd never stop drinking!!.best to face this reality sober..
P.S I am sorry that Jim is not well-any gripes I've expressed deal with the message not the messenger.
They aren't shorting
-current management I mean- but they have been pretty good to shorts over the years -strategically speaking.
Which is it??
a vacuum or a bag of air..? make up your mind- you can't have it both ways... :)
What is frustrating to the point of being mildly amusing..is the promising language that is uttered and then never followed up on..I mean not even a single time.. To not think they are atleast somewhat "challenged" from a marketing standpoint- one would have to have full blown dementia at this point..
taking a snapshot view..
everybody has lost here..
management who has devoted X years at no cash compensation, holding out hope that there ultimate payday is through stock appreciation..sure they didn't pay for the shares but they also haven't drawn a salary in a long long time so I look at that as a draw..which makes the activity level of this Board of Directors
even more bothersome..to say they're in the same boat as us in steerage doesn't make me feel any better !! would love to hear just one of these guys say this is how when and what we're gonna do to make you money....AND THEN ACTUALLY DO IT !!!!

Not any scarier
than the previous 11 years..IMO
Not an Attorney..
but from what I know that's the only group that loves the Class Action cause they are the only ones that make money..Was how Peter Angelos got his hands and ruined the Baltimore O's. I think they gave us enough "caveat emptor" type of disclaimers along the way that despite the hype and hyperbole- there is was not attempt to defraud..And I don't think there ever was....It would be the heretofore mentioned "Otter Defense.. " if any action came about..there is nothing here to chase- nothing to recover..If we do in fact own the patents as shareholders- maybe one or two of the major ones who are alot older than I and closer to the other side of the River make enough of a stink to get us to a deal that nets a couple bucks... who knows..It's been a fantastic lesson ..albeit a painful one..

number of days since TOVC incorporated 06-11-99/# of sales, joint venture agreements, licensing arrangements consummated to date /number of days left in 2010 (including weekends of course..)
too negative? too critical ..maybe to some but it may be just as relevant as that daily short position if we are to explain $.38 cents a share..accountability?? it's expected in my business-say what you mean and mean what you say..

I was wondering...
in this Sarbanes-Oxley world...What does "very soon" look like..
( the language they cite with respects to the hiring and implemention of a Chief Financial Officer, the ramping up of commercialization efforts?? Maybe that is a poll in the making??.)
my experience with this compaany has been they often don't really say what they mean, or at times mean what they say..If anything that would be a refreshing change from leadership..even if it is, or I should say especially if it is, setbacks and bad news..We can take it..
Regards to All and good luck..
Leitrim
so everything appears legit ???
imo
It's worked for Ford.
And Mullally wasn't an insider or even a "car guy"- just a proven manager/leader.
That was JG's Gig too..
CEO, CFO, Head Investor Relations & Chief Ihub
Monitor
I 'll admit..
I liked you better when you were a bullish on TOVC :)
< What leads you
to believe that a significant sale might be in the near future ?>
this may have something to do with it..
<On the other hand, I stand proud of what we have accomplished, where we are today and where we will be in the very near future.”>
I hope (there is that word again) he isn't referring to something that isn't material to share price appreciation- Others have dismissed some of his other called shots with replies like "he likes to have fun, bust chops etc.."- Man to say that on the way out the door and not know that there is something material to be inked that would be of benefit to all shareholders (meaning common too), would be practically cruel after all this time..Just my opinion...
just reading
their information,
friend no agenda short of living long enough to
make a return..
< They aren't selling anything >
You got that right Sulax..just read the Annual..but by now I would think to company has "engaging, interfacing, and furnishing" down to an art form. That and a few shorts is worth I don't know... 40 cents ?
<BLASPHEMY!!
You can't possibly be suggesting we simply auction off the whole company and each of its technologies!?! >
And even your possible strategic move wasn't all that big of a departure from our then CEO's famous "stock swap" scenario....
I wonder what life would look like with several thousand shares of ETN at $70 instead of many many more shares of TOVC.ob at $ .39....
That's a really critical purpose of a BOD .....they create govern and assist the CEO in generating shareholder value..sometimes they even get one who can do a better job of it...
Amen...
two times.
talk is cheap and so is Torvec's share price
This is like..
sitting in quick sand..Is a third party going to come and lift us out..or will we eventually squirm ourselves under the surface...??
one footnote to my earlier post about the Twitter re-print..3500 other people own that 'huge' company along with the two sons and their Father..( know that just re-stating the obvious but in case the Board Of Directors ever wants to start acting like one just thought they may need to get a re-fresher..)
Thanks for posting "the Tweet"
is that what they are called..I'm real late to this party..still trying how to figure out Facebook..
but with respects to the post..
"2 own a huge company, Torvec w/their Dad"
Don't you have to actually sell something to someone-to be characterized as "Huge"..???
I think I know How Billy Fusillo feels about this subject ??
Regards
Leitrim the Long
Death and taxes..
Life's only certainties
what makes it- the ride- tolerable?? and at times a blast??
Faith, Hope and Love...
the first two are requirements to have been long
in TOVC the past ten years..the last is optional
but life goes alot smoother when I can tap into that as well..
i.e. it's only money.....( only self talk here...)
< Were projects just so far along that they're all on auto-pilot? >
That's my nightly prayer until I hear to the contrary..what else are you gonna do??.they'll have to put out some communication eventually..Who is going to take the CFO job based on stock only comp plan unless it was pretty much layed out how that has value- more than 39 cents I mean....maybe hiring of a CFO, naming of Keith or someone else as a CEO tells us something, but given this ride..probably raises more questions than it answers..
Regards,
Leitrim
In case yours wasn't a rhetorical question...
I'll take a stab at it..
- creating demand for the products
-having financing to hire workers and
source raw materials to produce or
outsource..
-Getting off the OTC BB market helps..
-Landing large contracts that create scenario where there was
a ton of demand for Torvec Shares but not enough shares to fill
the need..
essentially all the things Jim layed out that were going to happen 5-6 years ago..sometimes it sucks to have a good memory..
It will be interesting
to see if the communication "changes" or is tempered somewhat as to expectations with JG retired...In other words.."where we will be in the very near future" has been uttered so many times at so many different points in the company's 14 year history that it has, for me, lost it's impact..We start looping some singles to start off the top of the inning-the game starts to get intriguing again for me and I grant ya that could happen really quickly...like all of you I have skin in this game..
Leitrim
I echo that thought..
hopefully he feels he's done what he needs to do ..These quotes from the release if supported in the coming months would tend to get one to think that way but I'm still cautious...
#1) "poised to ratchet-up the commercializing of our products in 2010, thus creating needed employment for the Rochester area," said Torvec president, Keith Gleasman."
#2)In announcing his retirement, James Gleasman commented:
" , I stand proud of what we have accomplished, where we are today and where we will be in the very near future."
I hope he's not sick and I hope he makes it to that Beach he mentioned one Annual Meeting as a VERY VERY wealthy man..
< Just have to believe the sky will get blue sooner rather than later>
Can't get there any more..I'm just present and holding..They can Wow me at any time..
No Takers...??
on why the 6 Mo re-up for the D.C. political
consultant's contract ?? Why not annual It wasn't a leading question I just welcomed opinions..?? and yeh I'm looking for some blue sky anywhere I can find it which is most certainly not outside my window today.....
Regards to all
Leitrim the Long
< Some orders, road tests and articles would go a long way toward putting the entire 'short' question away>
Amen..
The Heinricy tie-
I figured that already (i.e.that he was a consultant- who isn’t these days) and obviously was working his contacts to get TOVC
Iso torque positioned with GM maybe others..-i.e would have him already pegged as on the payroll as why would he drive laps, travel for free..so that was not real news..
The 6 month re-up on the DC consultant is perhaps a little bit more promising as I know that there is 82 Billion in the jobs bill that is being carved up into more bite size 15 Billion chunks ( yeh 15 Bill as bite size???) maybe the thought is they are close and can help land something significant.. probably just wishing but why 6 mos..?? why not a year ?? Yeh quite obviously I'm jonesing for a headline- one that transcends the D&C and the Roch Business Journal..as far as the shorting- I'm with Sulax: only management can get us off this Roulette wheel called the OTC..won't be the chiselers down in the Caymans..
< People here dont want to let themselves believe that good things are really happening behind the scenes.....understandable.... >
yeh have a hard time getting there..sometime over the years I mentally left the Empire State and moved to Missouri..the Show Me State ! Hope you are right or know something I don't- peferrably both..
Yeh..
That's my fear..
