What makes TOPS go up on a Kalani deal when Kalani deals make DRYS go down?
I sold everything a/h and will watch for a while. All that accumulation on the way down thrown out the window.
Complete disregard for shareholders. There's other ways to get cash, rather than death spiral financing.
They're going to dilute until they've raised $200 m.
We know now what will be on the agenda of the annual meeting in May: Reverse split.
$4.70 premarket!
Exactly. How can these companies put out such trash. Zack's is another one.
That is sad that a 5 cent a/h rise excites you.
Did they finally write one that was accurate? In past articles, they used outdated numbers.
I am so sorry four you. Better luck next trade.
I agree completely.
Up 80 cents one day, down 35 the next. I'll take a series of those.
SA picks on DRYS more than ANY stock. Buy when analysts are most negative.
Let's see if what you've been preaching is true.
I liked the urgency to buy in the final 10 minutes.
I am not asking for much. Just a "deluxe apartment in the sky".
Yes! Some big asks taken out.
Yes you did. Not many will admit it when they are wrong. Kudos to you.
Wouldn't that be nice!
I mis-understood. Sorry.
That is not right. 36 m. Read the filings.
From an article I read, it will take about $200,000 per ship to refit.
DHT just ordered new ships with 50% cash and 50% financing. A similar financing announcement here would help.
As long as they don't do another r/s, dilution round.
Interesting. How do you think the market will react to that?
My concern at this point: How are they going to get the money for all four ships plus take advantage of distressed ship prices?
It's always sad when you hope to just get your money back (let alone have a profit). I think we have all been there at one time or another.
I agree.
Congrats. I picked up more at $3.90
Then, make a new cash for share deal again.
That would be nice.
Only Kalani knows that. They most likely started right after they knew they were going to sign (even before it was PR'd).
Kalani sells shares short (knowing they will have to buy them back later.). DRYS gives Kalani shares for cash at an average price for a set number of previous days prices. They keep selling short driving the price down (knowing they can buy them back later at a lower price). When DRYS gives Kalani the shares for the cash, they sell them in to the market (buy their own shorted shares with their gifted shares). So they make money twice: discounted gifted shares and money made on their shorted shares.
How did you know NOT to sell at $6 when it went to $100?
Could it be that you are far more accurate than boilerman? How could that be?
I like your thinking.
Exactly. The author changes his view of DRYS, depending on whether he's long or short at the time.
Looks to me like most of the loss was accounting voodoo. $66 million loss from vehicle impairment loss from sale.
Good point. I had forgotten about that!
Obviously they don't have the ability to buy all 4 VLGCs now.
