MNGA might not get navy but if it does it will be on a trial basis probably but maybe a flat out long term 5 or 10 year standard contract...some are even longer at Tinker Air Force Base in OKC so suppliers can afford to set up shop

MNGA"significant breakthough" email from Pork chief in OK
Mr. Ogle,
My apologies for taking so long to respond to your email. I was out of the office all day at the state fairgrounds setting up our Pork Chop Shop for the fair.
Secretary of Agriculture Jim Reese forwarded your email regarding MagneGas to me. I must admit this is the first I have heard of MagneGas or their technology so I've been trying to research it a little thus evening.
Information about the technology is still pretty limited so I don't have a lot to go own. It appears this is the first major attempt by ManeGas to use swine manure in this manner. I could not find where they have tried this on other farms. That doesn't mean they haven't tried it, just that I couldn't find it.
Generally speaking, there are a few minor differences in the way our farms in Oklahoma store and manage hog manure vs. farms in the Midwest. The biggest difference is usually in the storage. Oklahoma operations use liquid manure systems which almost always include a lagoon storage structure. In the Midwest, deep-pitted barns where all the manure is stored in concrete pits under the barns is the more common storage method. Storage here in Oklahoma has used more water. This allows us to recycle the water and the nutrients as fertilizer. It also has made it more difficult for other energy conversion efforts to be successful.
According to the press release, this is a farm with 18,000 head average capacity and producing 40,000 pigs per year. That is a fairly large farm. There are not very many farms in Oklahoma that are this size. One challenge we have seen with other energy conversion technologies is the sheer volume of manure it takes to successfully utilize the technology usually involves farms that are larger than what we have in Oklahoma. As I said earlier, I'm not familiar enough with this technology to know if that is the case here, but this is a farm that is bigger than most in Oklahoma.
If the technology performs as MagneGas suggests it will, I think you will see farms across the country give it a try. As an industry, we are constantly working to reduce our carbon-footprint, improve our odor control technologies, and take better care of the environment. It is possible this technology could be a significant break-through. According to the press release, if the technology works as promoted, the farm will purchase the technology. We should know fairly quickly how that plays out.
I wish I could give you a more definitive answer to your question, but there is just too much still unknown about the technology and how it is being applied.
