Does anyone know if the OS is still increasing?
I'm not familiar with Canadian markets, what is the advantage of going to the TSX Venture and how big of a move is it? Seems encouraging to me.
It's still a little vague, but I'll cut Jon C. some slack since it looks like he has been working (existing solar project pictures under the solar page). Hopefully we will have financials showing what the company has accomplished by the end of the year, or, at least, not long after. We have a long way to go, but it looks like we're moving forward again.
Nice to see you back.
Good post.
I know about fiber, I'm a biomass broker, and in many cases we've gone as far as to become a market maker for biomass. You're right there is no exchange to set the price of biomass fiber so it varies from procurement area to procurement area, however production costs don't, so that acts as the pricing base. Enviva is very active along the gulf cost and Dixie pellets is restarting -at one time the largest mill in the us - which is in AL on the Mississippi. Of course IP is in the process of shuttering a pulper in Courtland Al so that's a positive, although there has been a strong rebound in manufactured board which affects fiber upwardly, but it doesn't matter if the market is depressed. If you slap a two million ton mill in an area, it will bid fiber up on itself. The only way it would work is a premium to expand the procurement area, which even then may not work.
As for the torrification, I'm only familiar with one commercially available system - the weissmont turbo dryer - but it doesn't give a consistent product. I'll have to do some research on that mill you mentioned. Since there haven't been any patents mentioned by the company, I don't take their torrification plans seriously, but that doesn't mean the pellet parts of the model are any less viable. However, if Drax has announced in or near Jim's target areas in Louisiana, I will say that plans for BMSPF plant is dead. Now if BMSPF has financing lined up, a partnership with Drax may be possible, but I don't believe he does.
There will be no torrification phase added. As of yet it isn't practical at commercial scale.
On a separate note, the logistics aren't the issue (with the exception of rail-that isn't economically possible) it's the price of fiber itself, at the current price of fuel pellets margins are thin, but fiber has shown it can be driven up very easily.
A plant twice as large would be foolish as it would be too difficult to supply. I don't have any publications on hand, just industry knowledge, Bumpass, Va., Chester, Va, Laurinburg, NC, failed and idled, several more never built. Dozens of companies have announced plants, some even permitted, that have never been built and will never be built. What it amounts to is; there are few opportunities left for large mills, and it doesn't look like this company can come up with the money to exploit any of those opportunities.
There are too many pellet mills setting idle for anyone such as Drax to sign a tolling deal with a company that doesn't even have a mill built.
Exactly
Maybe next spring will be better... maybe.
Ok, I'll admit that is a logical conclusion, and even though it was a dumb question... I don't think I would've missed "Americas's."
It is odd, why would people put up fake accounts?
Bioman, how do you know they are fake Facebook accounts, and why would someone put up fake accounts? Just curious.

Nothing to get very excited over... but it is another step in the right direction.
$10... I'm holding for $100.00. Slap that ask man! $100/share any minute!
No doubt.

It will be interesting to see if the number of watchers starts to tick up.
It will have to be real good news to trigger that kind of volume. Hopefully it's coming soon! It's been a long time.
We did it before, back before everyone got screwed.
I don't think it'll take many to get us over .05, one, if it contains the right info., could probably do it. IMO
I'm enjoying the nightly updates via Facebook. Now all we need is a LinkedIn page and the company will have complete social media exposure.
Yes, way too long.
Lets hope!
Looks like the twitter is just a mirror to the Facebook page. Hopefully the website will be ready to go very soon... I assume they are working on it. From the social media pages it looks like the company has done some rebranding, or is doing, anyway the website will be very interesting to see.
Well they're working the FB page pretty good and the # of likes is increasing, hopefully they're trying to get people's attention to start releasing real info. At least that's my opinion.
Hopefully... when it's up they can let us know by posting the link on FB!
Yes exactly. If they're working on this over the holiday, hopefully they have something cooking.
The Facebook page has been updated and the company is posting!
@ the rate we're going his finger will fall off before it hits his sell target. Hope I'm proved wrong.
Not without some sort of catalyst, such as news.
I doubt it
And I'll say this again, although it doesn't look good, actually rather bleak, it's still a possibility of resuming operations and relisting the shares.
Weak hands, weak hands. Hope whoever sold all of those .005's doesn't spend all of his profit in one place.
I'd like to see more volume, but anything is good at this point.
Possible. If we could get a pulse from the company we would move fast!
I've been hearing quick for years. Oh well, it's only money, lets see how low it'll go. I'll buy more if it's goes low enough.
Here... Watching... Waiting... Still waiting... Check back tomorrow
Anything to get rid of that ole stuff from Parsons' days off the Facebook page, needs a serious update.
That page has been stuck in... 2010, for the last three years. Can't wait to see progress.
