I'd have to say I should have been keeping an eye on this thread yesterday and taken note of the NR released by GUY. This was one I would have liked taking a position in.
That's the only way I ever make a profit in this sector. Lack of patience and chasing run away stocks has never been one of my attributes. I think I'm going to join you here soon.
Michael, Thanks for keeping up the technical studies. One to look at on a speculative basis is GYD.v. I took a position at .26 and should have tripled it at the dip to .22 but I have a self imposed rule against averaging down taught to me by Bill O'neil in the mid eighties. Seems like there is often an attempted wash out before a move up. But once more those out of range volume bars were telling the story. Word is that Randy Reifel was considering buying the claims that GYD wound up with and had to make a choice in favor of La Juliana. The board is composed of some long time professionals with good track records. This will be another one I hold for years.
So what do you think? Time to bid on this one?
Michael,
Very sorry to hear about your dad. These things can be a lot harder on us than we are willing to admit at the moment. It has taken me a long time to recover from a similar series of events and I wish you the best.
As I suspected SR has done a good job of stking in the belt. The question remains however; which company is going to be the one to hold thru the merger SR or NVR. There seems to be a debate over this question with a tilt toward SR but I've found nothing clear. I'm a long term holder of CBR and would not mind adding another sharp exploration outfit active in this region.
Do you know any details on the claims staked in the Committee Bay green stone belt adjacent to CBR's operation? NVR as a company appears to have o lot of potential that is completely discounted in the market. I know Bob Bishop has mantained it as a recommendation for quite a while to very little effect.
Thitle Mining is up close to 20% on 6 million shares on a positive news release this morning. This company has not been able to catch a break in more than a year. With the So African stocks being the next likely movers, this could represent an opportunity at this point.
It looks like MIG wanted to hit that .65 print and did it on some volume. Bounced off it with some conviction as well.
Actually I think the prohibition is short selling in a retirement account. It's the same in the states. Short sales are just not recognized as investing. The government just has to protect you from your self.
That 5 digit symbol is a mutual fund and you should be able to place any size order without commisions. If your brokerage does not have a relationship with that fund family, use RYTPX. They will deal with one or the other, eithr Pro funds or Rydex.
It would be great to see your opinion based on technicals on these funds.
BTW what is the ATR mentioned in your other post? There are also annotations on the continous gold price chart labeled as be or br, what do those represent?
Be sure to let us know when it's safe to buy CBD. The consensus on fundamentals seems to peg it at 40 percent under NAV, not that it can't get cheaper still.
Is there a bottom to be seen yet on MIG ? Looks like the drop may be exhausting.
That out of range volume bar following the pullback looks like something is up. Question is what.
I could never find Antrim by trying to search the Ausie exchanges. Amazingly it appears in Canada. They are working on Magellan's tracts off of the Aus coast and I'm betting they hit something.
A, What do you think of Savilles analysis of the explorers on Goldseek?
Faber is to me the most interesting guy commenting on investing year in and year out for decades. I've been trying to find out how to invest in Burma for a while now and have come up dry. In an arena where no one seems to have even a clue, there has got to be opportunity. Three years ago on a surf trip to the Andamans, I ran into a boat load of guys out of Phuket that I was originally to have joined. They had sailed up the coast from the thai border surfing isolated point breaks and found villages where there was nothing made of metal. This kind of coastline exists in only a hand full of locations on earth. Burma fascinates me no end. My next big trip is already planned but I've got to find a way to get to rangoon before my time runs out.
ARQ sells off. Seems it might have gotten ahead of itself. The market is all wise. If one half of the infered resource can be proven to 33 million oz and you allow one tenth of the price of platinum, divided by the shares outstanding, it still comes to 8.25 a share.
Question is, when can I get long some RYVNX? I've been waiting for this one for a while now.
Penntrade does it again. Filled four fifths of my order for Zenda at the open at 15 cents. I placed the order at 9 last night. I recommend these guys over any broker I've delt with.
Not bad drill results with no market reaction the first day. Sixty six million ounces of platinum ought to make the market sit up and take notice. All from a company every one had discounted a year ago. Proves to me that no body really knows any thing. Lets see what they make of the PFN results tommorow.
Late reply, I'm sure they will deal through a live broker and prefer to do so, for a higher commision though I'm almost sure. Funny though my execution price by mail confirmation looks different than the one posted on the site.
Let's hear it for Penntrade. Got me 30000 for three cents under my bid. Came in at 20 cents US. I'm starting to think the positive things I've heard about this brokerage may be true. Should have definitely bought twice as much.
OK, that does it. I'm packin my rock pick and heading on down through Chiuaua on the way to Michoucan for some west swell.
I just hope my order filled before every one catches on. Then as usual, I can kick my self for not buying enough. If I were not so conservative, I'd be done by now.
Eva, once you've looked at this company, let us know what you think. I hear you're going on vacation. Windsurfing?
I hate to point out the obvious, especially on a day like today, but when CKG drills La Juliana with any positive results, the share price of Grayd resources should react violently. Take a look at the map on the company website detailing the location of the deposit adjacent to CKG. This stock is completely overlooked.
Is it in fact possible that he is so leveraged in the stock that he has to sell to meet personal expenses? We are hitting a new all time high today in the midst of a sector correction.
Mark I understood the 68% reference. Friends of mine in the buisness have long claimed that about 90% of holes drilled turn out dry and capped. This has also been proven to me by following the explorers' drill reports issued by companies I own. REM is going to be interesting.
A 68% rate is unheard of in that buisness. 10% is the usual year to year bank for any petroleum driller. Which options are you looking at?
Thanks Mark. I've never really followed that page but will begin to do so.
"HL at a buck, WTC at .60" print this one out and hang it on your wall. It may keep you in this move through more tribulation. My Keogh account is seven fold and I'm holding like a dog.
If you don't mind, where was this quotation taken from?
I am in complete agreement on ARQ, but what does Zedi solutions do? I see that your previous work on Northgate is now proving out. I think this one has a long way to go if veiwed over the longer term. I've held it for two years now.
The last laggard in petro exploration has finally begun to lift off. MPET is predicting oil price acceleration to new levels. CKG is predicting something else.
Fundi's on Metalica look decent but there seems to be quite a bit of leverage in the warrants.
Every time I look at that pattern on ARQ, I can see a break out to the upside. Have you looked at the warrants on MR?
Just out of curiousity, has your govt been able to carry out it's plan to confiscate handguns?
You wanna talk about torque, I always had you figured for the carefully considered, analylitical, skilled position trader. You must know something serious about this company or you've just gotten on the nitrous.
There's one huge volume bar on EPM.U two days ago corresponding to very little price movement. Seems like these things almost always produce a result not to far down the line.
EADS, I was looking to buy this stock several months ago and could'nt even get a symbol. Imagine my suprise to see the thing gain an OTC symbol and double in 5 months. What's it look like going forward?
