Good things have been on the horizon for years bluebird50. But it looks like the rainbow is coming into focus and we all know what is at the end of the rainbow on the horizon. I've been adding shares for years when the chips have been down for this company and made my biggest single add last summer below.02.
"no stems no seeds that you don't need "
Go KBLB
Fantastic Ocho!
I am hoping to make a similar trip when this company becomes a market success.
Jazz, we are lucky to have someone of your scientific background checking these types of statements on this board.
Good eye Zenaku. Maybe jazz or Mike could help us on that one. Or maybe we don't need to know?
Go for it
Nice find Truth!
Love this bit:
He told the VAST to increase the competitiveness of such key sectors as hi-tech agriculture, nanotech, artificial intelligence, and new-generation material production.
It may take that much space to begin the systematic disruptive takeover of the massive world Silk industry. ;)
Hehe
I am wondering if we may soon see a subsidiary set up by KBLB to be the business structure that works through Vietnam that would disrupt the existing mundane Silk industry with Monster Silk? We may have another subsidiary for developing dragon silk for military applications. Another subsidiary for sportswear and more subsidiaries for later generation antibiotic bandage and surgical applications that could partner with someone like Johnson and Johnson or the like? I'm way ahead of myself on most of this but am just thinking out loud. Long weekends make me do that. ha ha Let's get our foothold in Vietnam and the military contract then as the song says, "The future is so bright I got to wear shades".
Games,I don't think we have to be concerned about anything so dramatic when it comes to giving out pieces of the action but all parties have to be satisfied to Bring large quantities of silk to the market. It appears we are much further along than I thought we could be just a few weeks ago.
Good job Kim. Bring it on.
It is very curious, whatever the scenario might be but my gut tells me it would be a safe bet that "a piece of the action" is part of any scenario.
yank, I think you are right on this. This guy does seem to play in the big leagues and will hopefully help facilitate KBLB's entry into those leagues.
Libby, great DD. Thank you.
I imagine that possibly Mr. Le was not mentioned in the PR to avoid a similar clamoring scenario assault that was visited upon Dr. David Kaplan years ago when he was mentioned as a new member of the advisory board and overwhelmed and harassed by members of this board and others at the time to the point that he chose to resign just to have a life free from incessant questioning and examination.
Far out!!!
It is good to see military publications interested in today's news. http://military-technologies.net/2017/01/12/kraig-biocraft-laboratories-inc-kblb-otcqb-kraig-biocraft-laboratoriesrsquo-management-completes-meetings-with-vietnamese-officials/
I hear you es1. I am a big proponent of Bob's investing strategy on this company. The last time I added I was pretty nervous buying in the summer with "blood in the streets" just below .02 but I'm feeling a little better now about increasing my position by about 33% in June/July. I do admire you guys who can get in and out successfully adding to your total. Neither way is worry free. Haha. I remain very optimistic regarding KBLB. Time to pass the milestones we all want to see in 2017.

"Dragon Silk" Ready for Spool-up
Chuck Heschmeyer
05 January 2017
A U.S. biotechnology firm has spun the first batch of "Dragon Silk," a genetically modified spider silk fiber, as part of a supplier agreement with the U.S. Army.
The fiber was created by Kraig Biocraft Laboratories at its production site in Indiana, and is now headed to a reeling facility to be prepared for delivery to partner firm Warwick Mills, which will incorporate the fiber into military gear.

Kraig says its Dragon Silk is the strongest and most elastic recombinant spider silk it has created among more than a dozen genetically engineered spider silk fibers based on the company’s genetic designs. Both Dragon Silk and Monster Silk, a sister product, are spun by lines of transgenic silkworms. They are composed of a combination of spider silk protein and silkworm silk protein.
These genetically engineered spider silks are significantly stronger and more flexible than commercial grade silk, according to Kraig, and have applications in both technical textile and apparel markets. For the Army work, Kraig has contracted with Warwick Mills to produce ballistic shoot packs using the fiber.
Kraig’s genetic engineering technology is applied principally to the domesticated silkworm. The silkworm is suited to produce genetically engineered spider silk, the company says, because the silkworm already is an efficient producer of silk, with 40% of the caterpillar’s weight devoted to the silk glands. These glands produce large volumes of protein, called fibroin, which are then spun into a composite protein silk thread.
Kraig says that genetically engineered spider silk, with its mechanical characteristics, eventually can surpass the current generation of high-performance fibers used in a variety of military, industrial, and consumer applications where strength, toughness and flexibility are required.

Mike you rock! Happy new year!
There's no real market share that has been taken up by competitors as yet. They are as Mike said, loading up on debt with their hype. However, it would indeed be nice to see more of Kim's salesmanship. I saw it at the trade show in Atlanta years ago. This short YouTube video demonstrates what I am reminded of when I think of the sales pitches that must have been made by our competitors to private investors for all of that money that has resulted in so little quality.
If we could only get the reincarnation of PT Barnum as our CEO...
Maybe. I would assume though that the colors would be different so that they could be easily identified and distinguished with ultraviolet light.
I was thinking more along the lines of photographs of hanks of dragon silk. Aren't those old photographs of monster silk?
"All KBLB has to show is a hank of its product." I agree. It would help tremendously. Would love to see a PR Tuesday morning with said hank!!!
Happy Holidays to all believers and non-believers in the ultimate success of KBLB from an undisclosed location somewhere on a remote island along the coast of South Carolina. Merry Christmas to all! I am predicting that 2017 will be the happiest year to date for the Longs here. We are on Santa's nice list I do believe.
Find a way!
Red, it is a pleasure to read your posts. I remember years ago standing off to the side for about an hour watching Kim present to all walkers by at the trade show down in Atlanta. That was back in the days when people were saying this entire enterprise was a scam, that the posters of silk moths behind the exhibit where held up with tape rather than push pins. So it had to be a scab. :) Now I feel we are on the cusp of success. The science only gets better continuously. The road to this point has had unexpected turns, restarts and setbacks but I got to Tell ya I have been impressed with Kim's ingenuity and perseverance to get to a point where this company is going to make a significant disruptive impact. Who knows what will happen with Vietnam especially in light of current politics but it doesn't matter. We will find away. Kim will find away and anyone that owns shares has the liberty to say "we will find away". Disclaimer: I am a happy long term shareholder of Kraig Biocraft.
True-Dat!!!
Wheels are turning!
Go KBLB
Well said.
Seems like a substantial misrepresentation of what "it" is even at that level journalism. But OK I see your point. Pick your standard.
"companies now make jogging clothes out of spider silk"
She did not say companies make jogging clothes out of silkworm silk spun in a new way.
In this new video at the four minute 45 second mark it is said that "companies now made jogging clothes out of the spider silk"...
Would someone please bring me up to speed on this? What companies? Is this a mistake on the part of the filmmaker?
Good one! Let's see them make some shoot packs out of this fragile expensive material. I'm guessing a jacket made of dragon silk would not have to hide behind highly secured glass. Bet UA is thinking the same thing. Wild speculation on my part of course.
This is interesting if it's for real. They are not into textiles apparently.

Los Angeles, CA - November 29, 2016 - (Newswire.com)
???Spidey Tek of Los Angeles, California announces its path to mass productions of real spider silk. Spidey Tek is a biotech company dedicated to the mass production of the strongest material known to man, Real Spider Silk, and its utilization in producing superior products for the 21st Century.
Spider silk is a Bio-material that has been recognized as the strongest material on earth for many decades. The question has always been, ‘how do you harvest enough of the silk to make it commercially viable.’ Spidey Tek has discovered the answers to producing large quantities of spider silk by the rapid growth of specialized Spider cloned microorganisms in customized Bio-Reactors.
Through the marvels of genetic engineering, Spidey Tek is able to replicate what spiders have developed during the past 500 million years of evolution. This incredible breakthrough has been accomplished by specifically identifying the genes that code for the production of spider silk and cloning them into specialized microorganisms (bio vectors). These bio vectors, in turn, produce Real Spider Silk Proteins, which can be mixed with chemicals-materials to improve their mechanical properties. Plus, these same proteins can be utilized in the making of Real Spider Silk Fibers, which can replace materials such as carbon fiber, aluminum, steel and other materials used to make superior products.
To prove Real Spider Silk can be used in solid, durable applications, Spidey Tek proudly announces the debut of the Spidey Bat. The Spidey Bat uses Real Spider Silk to deliver a unique VTOL UAV that is lighter and stronger. This means it can carry a larger payload, fly further and is virtually indestructible. The Spidey Bat is unique in that it can take off and land like a helicopter and once it is at altitude, flies like a fixed-wing airplane.
The industrial and commercial applications for the Spidey Bat are wide and varied for civil, law enforcement and military uses. Spidey Tek is currently working on the design of a much larger version of the Spidey Bat. This Drone will have a wing-span of over 10 feet and able to execute much larger commercial and military tasks than the initial unit with its wing-span of 30 inches. Plus, utilizing the strength of its real spider silk compound, the Spidey Bat does not require a metal frame work. In full production, the Spidey Bat fuselage takes just minutes to manufacture and less than an hour to assemble. This reduces the overall costs of any size Spidey Bat Drone.
How strong is spider silk? Ordinary, natural spider silk has a tensile strength of 4,000 MPa (MPa is the scale used to measure the tensile strength of material at their failure point) and is 5-10 times stronger and lighter than carbon fiber that exhibits a tensile strength of 400 MPa, and is many times stronger and lighter than aluminum and steel.
In contrast, Spidey Tek’s Super Spider Silk, ARACHNO, exhibits a tensile strength of 40,000 MPa, which is 10 times that of the natural spider silk’s tensile strength and 100 times that of carbon fiber. ARACHNO is just as easy to work with as our regular real spider silk.
This bio-super-material can have a serious impact on the material sciences paradigm.
Spidey Tek’s technology is protected by international patents. From the spider silk DNA gene sequences, to the process of mass-production of the actual spider silk, to the many applications for products of every description, it is all protected by international patents.
Rather than focusing on the textile market and because of the excellent mechanical properties of its spider silk protein and fibers, Spidey Tek is skewing its expanded capabilities into areas that can make a real difference in the world. Real Spider Silk can be utilized to replace materials such as Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, Steel, Aluminum or Plastics to manufacture different products across many different platforms. In addition, Spidey Tek’s real spider silk proteins and fibers can be mixed with chemicals such as polyurethanes, polycarbonates, polypropylene, resins and materials for 3D printing (PLA & ABS).
Imagine having the capabilities to 3D printing an automotive part that is completely finished, ready to install and it is stronger than the steel, aluminum or carbon fiber part it is replacing.
Spidey Tek materials can save significant amounts of weight, in many cases, thousands of pounds in the manufacturing of autos and trucks. Every carmaker in the world is under rapidly approaching mandates to reduce fuel consumption and reduce emissions.
It is a proven engineering fact that one of the quickest ways to improve fuel mileage and reduce emissions to is to reduce the weight of the vehicle.
Spidey Tek’s spider silk, when mass-produced, provides the weight reduction of carbon fiber at a much affordable price and will allow manufacturers to replace standard materials currently used. In addition, Spidey Tek has proprietary manufacturing techniques which reduce the cost of manufacturing.
Spidey Tek is currently in its second round of funding. For inquiries regarding any additional information, video links or investment opportunities, contact the company through www.spideytek.com.
