I agree that .75 is a nice support level to do some consolidating at. If you look at the last 5 trading days volume:
2011/01/19 0.99 1.07 0.81 0.81 10,711,183 0.81
2011/01/18 0.75 0.94 0.75 0.90 7,982,764 0.90
2011/01/17 0.66 0.72 0.66 0.72 6,710,258 0.72
2011/01/14 0.66 0.77 0.65 0.72 6,706,758 0.72
2011/01/13 0.54 0.68 0.54 0.61 4,693,546 0.61
You can see that over 25 million shares were trading between .50 to a dollar and I believe that 2 million shares were bought over a dollar yesterday before the sell off. If this stock holds in the .70s I think it's safe to say the profit takers and day traders already did their hit and run!
Anyone selling now would be losing money so nice support taking place. A mild volume day and close in this rage would be bullish in my book!
GLTA
actually it is holding better than I thought it would so far but the day is young yet? Hard to tell.. At .75 it is still a 100% move from 10 days ago but to get over a dollar and stay there is another story all together. Have to wait and see how their earnings come out next?
Happy trading
looks like some more red on the way today? that over a dollar is slowly sinking away. Too bad it looked so sweet there for about 2 minutes! lol Going to be a tough nut to crack to regain NASDQ compliance now?
give them a call and let us know what you find out!
'TairyFale, Interesting observation by all means please continue. Tell us what you may know about Mr. Goldberg that seems to appear on every shell of Fisher and only has the highest of praise for Fisher's great success?
Down to .30 cents and they haven't even taken the D off the stock symbol yet for the RS dividend..
Mr. Goldberg any thoughts here? Looks like the longs were completely wiped out in this RS?
GLTY
I agree not a chance today... With this high volume and support in the low .80's after a 100% run I would say we made some progress and flushed out the weak holders. I am disappointed we couldn't hold over a dollar a share for more than 5 minutes today I must say because the hour glass to regain compliance is not on our side and would hate to see a RS used to do so..
It is not surprising to have a down day as the last five in a row were green. No stock goes up forever and this one took off like a rocket for sure... I would like to see it consolidate and form a base here between .80 to a dollar and break that dollar barrior real soon! Some good earning numbers might be all that is needed!
GLTA
this is crazy printing 1.04 up .14 now! Hopefully day ONE on tap!
WOWZERS this thing has popped over a dollar pre market today... Now it needs to close over a dollar and stay there for 10 trading days!
I never would have thought this stock could regain compliance when it was trading at .38 cents just a week ago?
This is an amazing feet taking place here! Something going on more than we know?
wow looks like another gapper today! I think we break back into the dollar threashold ! Just a WAG though!
Ya I did congrats to all here. Not a liquid enough stock for my liking but has performed rather well. I have been playing PLUG and doing just fine thank you!

Another Sysco Distribution Center Converts to Plug Power GenDrive Fuel Cells
http://ih.advfn.com/p.php?pid=nmona&article=46080958&symbol=PLUG
Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq:PLUG) a leader in providing clean, reliable energy solutions announced the third purchase order it has received from Sysco Corporation for its GenDrive® fuel cell units. The current order comes from Sysco's Front Royal Virginia Baugh Northeast Co-op, Inc. redistribution facility where 100 hydrogen fuel cell units will power the electric lift truck fleet in the 800,000 sq. ft. redistribution center. The order includes:
* 5 class-1 GenDrive units to be used in sit down counterbalanced trucks
* 76 class-2 GenDrive units to be used in standup reach trucks
* 19 class-3 GenDrive units to be used in pallet jacks
Plug Power received the order from Sysco in November, 2010 and delivered 19 class-3 GenDrive units to the customer in December, 2010.
Baugh Northeast has, to date, used lead-acid batteries to power its lift truck fleet. By changing to GenDrive power units, the company will eliminate the need to purchase multiple batteries for each lift truck. Conversion to fuel cells will allow increased fleet utilization and productivity within the facility. Improvements in operational costs will be identified as the infrastructure associated with the lead-acid battery charging, changing and maintenance is removed opening up 5,000 sq. ft. of facility space to use for other business operations.
In addition to increased productivity with lower operational costs, Baugh Northeast will also see an improvement in its environmental footprint. As an alternative energy power unit, GenDrive generates only heat and water as byproducts, reducing greenhouse gas emissions at the Virginia site. By implementing GenDrive solutions, Plug Power customers have been able to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80 percent.
"Once again, Sysco has distinguished itself as a forward-thinking industry leader," said Andy Marsh, CEO at Plug Power. "And for Plug Power, it's extremely rewarding to see our commercially viable GenDrive products making a substantial impact for another repeat customer. I'm optimistic that we'll see more of Sysco's distribution centers convert to fuel cells as the benefits continue to be realized within the organization." Baugh Northeast is the third Sysco facility to convert its lift truck fleet to GenDrive fuel cells. Prior conversions have occurred at the Sysco Houston and Sysco Philadelphia sites.
Fuel Cell Stocks Powering Up as Ener1 Scores China Deal
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Fuel-Cell-Stocks-Powering-Up-indie-62641982.html?x=0&.v=1
the tickerspy.com Staff,
U.S. battery and fuel cell firm Ener1 (NASDAQ: HEV - News) is soaring Tuesday on news that the firm is launching a joint venture with a Chinese auto supplier. Ener1's massive gain is helping to lead the Fuel Cell Stocks Index higher by 15% on the day. Along with lithium-ion betteries, Ener1 conducts research on and develops fuel cells and other advanced energy storage technologies.
Despite the Ener1 news being focused on battery technology, other fuel cell stocks are joining the rally as well with big gains on much higher than normal volume from Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ: BLDP - News) and microcaps Plug Power (NASDAQ: PLUG - News) and Hydrogenics (NASDAQ: HYGS - News). Fuelcell Energy (NASDAQ: FCEL - News) and Hoku Corp (NASDAQ: HOKU - News), meanwhile, are also posting modest gains.
The market will be watching Ener1 closely to see if it can build on this momentum. Investors can track the Fuel Cell Stocks Index for performance trends and a suite of other metrics at tickerspy.com.
a lot of day trading going on here but once it settles over a dollar and holds for the 10 day count down it could head to a buck and a half!
PIZZABUSTER1, I had a dream last night... I was surrounded by water on all sides and in all directions. It was a beautiful site CLEAN CLEAR and PURE-NUTRI WATER! the bottles were also so clean and pure and they would just Naturally dissolve when you were finished drinking the PURE WATER from them! Were talking GREEN and PURE all NATURAL stuff..
The only real problem was IT WAS JUST A DREAM!!!! Then I woke up to reality... A NO BID NO WATER STOCK!
boo boo, This stock is cranken right now! At .38 I never thought it had a chance to regain compliance with NASDQ but at .90 we are just a heart beat away! This is looking real good and it could actually get over a dollar in the next day or two the way it is trading? Of course it has to hold there for ten trading days but the way the business is growing looks like it is a done deal!
polamatic too bad no one else here has a good eye like us? The dilution goes up yet the longs want to blame the price on the shorts? Go figure! Have you contacted the TA this last month to check in on them? LOL
Plug Power wants to give alternative power sources a lift. The company develops on-site power generation systems used in forklifts and material handling equipment, and in remote power applications. Plug Power uses proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells to generate electricity from hydrogen gas without combustion. The company's GenDrive product is being sold to large distribution centers as a replacement for lead-acid batteries in lift trucks, including pallet trucks and narrow-aisle reach trucks; customers include SYSCO, Wal-Mart, and Central Grocers. Other customers include Whole Foods and FedEx Freight. The majority of Plug Power's sales come from the US.

Walmart Canada Opens Its First Sustainable Distribution Centre
Facility will be estimated 60% more energy-efficient than company’s traditional centres;
Sustainability features will help avoid approximately $4.8 million in energy costs over 5 years
Balzac, Alberta, November 10, 2010 – Walmart Canada announced today the opening of its first sustainable fresh food distribution centre, a state-of-the-art facility that will be an estimated 60% more energy-efficient than the company’s traditional refrigerated centres and that will help the company avoid approximately $4.8 million in energy costs over five years. One of North America’s most energy-efficient distribution centres, the Balzac facility is a living lab of sustainability and includes the company’s first pilots of hydrogen fuel cells, solar thermal and wind power, as well as many other sustainability features and products.
Deepak Obhrai, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of Canada’s Environment Minister John Baird, joined Andy Ellis, Walmart Canada’s SVP of Supply Chain and Logistics, Walmart suppliers and associates at an event today to publicly unveil this first-of-its-kind facility.
“Our sustainable distribution centre showcases the immediate business returns of investing in green innovations and the positive impact of a sustainability mindset through all phases of a project,” said Ellis. “This living lab of sustainability is supporting the expansion of our modern Supercentre format while also helping us get closer to meeting our long-term sustainability goals. The successful completion of this ambitious project supports our long-held belief that environmental and business sustainability can go hand-in-hand.”
“The Government of Canada congratulates Walmart Canada for its commitment to environmental leadership,” said Canada’s Environment Minister John Baird. “Projects like this innovative Perishable Distribution Centre create a showcase for industry in Alberta and keep our nation on the cutting edge of green technologies.”
Walmart Canada has invested $115 million to build the 400,000 square foot centre. One of Canada’s largest refrigerated buildings, it serves as a hub for fresh and frozen food destined for 104 of the company’s stores in Western Canada, from Manitoba to British Columbia. Over the course of its construction, an estimated 800 jobs were created in trade and construction roles. The Walmart-owned facility will be operated by Supply Chain Management, a third-party logistics provider and will employ approximately 600 team members.
Key sustainability features of the Balzac distribution centre include:
Renewable Energy
Hydrogen Fuel Cells
Hydrogen fuel cells replace traditional lead acid batteries in the facility’s entire fleet of 71 material handling vehicles. The use of fuel cells as a power source will reduce C02 emissions from the vehicle fleet by 55 per cent or an estimated 530 tonnes annually, the equivalent of taking 101 passenger vehicles off the road per year. Their use will also improve productivity and result in a cost-avoidance of an estimated $1.3 million over five years.
Wind and Solar Power
Two, 30-kilowatt wind turbines on the facility’s grounds will generate about 100,000 kwh per year each or enough electricity to power 40 average-sized Canadian homes annually. Sixteen solar thermal panels on the facility will provide energy to heat domestic hot water for use in offices and maintenance areas. The solar array will produce a peak of over 205 kilowatt hours per day, or the equivalent of heating the water of 20 Canadian homes with 40-gallon tanks.
Energy Conservation
LED Lighting
The warehouse and parking lot is lit exclusively by low-energy solid-state (LED) lighting, which provides many financial, operational and environmental benefits. LED lights are an estimated 69 per cent more energy-efficient than incandescents; produce significantly less waste heat, optimal for a refrigerated environment; strike instantly; and can last an estimated 20 years. The use of LED lighting exclusively will save the company an estimated seven million kilowatt hours of electricity over five years and help it avoid an estimated $645,000 in costs over the same period. Per year, that’s enough electricity to power an estimated 121 average-sized Canadian households.
Smart Refrigeration
The facility’s refrigeration system uses ammonia as a coolant rather than ozone-depleting Freon. This results in a system that is 33 per cent more energy-efficient than a traditional Freon system. Designed with a demand-response capability, the refrigeration system is also able to draw electricity during off-peak grid times. Waste heat from the system is used to keep the sub-floor frost-free in the winter. Using smart refrigeration will help avoid an estimated $2 million in costs over five years.
High-Efficiency Dock Doors and Doorways
Dock doors and doorways between temperature zones have been custom-designed to be more energy-efficient. Gaps between transportation vehicles and the dock doors have been lessened to reduce the loss of refrigerated air. The windows found in traditional dock doors have been eliminated and insulation installed in levellers, further reducing energy loss. Electronic monitoring ensures that dock doors are not left open unnecessarily. Automatic doorways between temperature zones produce an air flow pattern that keeps different temperature air in respective zones, minimizing energy loss in refrigerated areas.
Walmart Canada has invested $220 million in the past two years to update and expand its distribution network. Its national network supplies 321 stores from eight distribution facilities: four sites in Calgary, Alberta, including Balzac; one site in Cornwall, Ontario; and three sites in Mississauga.
On the sustainability side, the company is also working steadfastly with its suppliers to increase its logistics efficiency and to incorporate sustainable practices and initiatives into the processes, operations and mindset of its third-party suppliers. The company has instituted no idling policies in all its stores and distribution centres; improved fill rates on trucks and increased use of long-combination vehicles. Several times a year, Walmart Canada gathers its logistics suppliers to share best practices and recognizes carriers annually for sustainable operations, processes and corporate commitment.
“After much hard work, with many partners, we’re extremely proud to open our sustainable distribution facility that I believe will set a positive example for our global operations, for business and the world.” added Ellis. “What today serves as a demonstration facility, we hope to see as an industry norm in the not-too-distant future.”

Coca-Cola Refreshments to Use Plug Power GenDrive Fuel Cells at California Bottling Center

Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq:PLUG) and Coca-Cola Refreshments USA (NYSE:KO) announced plans for a new fleet of GenDrive-powered Caterpillar lift trucks at Coca-Cola's 250,000 sq. ft. bottling and distribution center in San Leandro, CA.
The GenDrive fleet at Coca-Cola's facility will include 37 Class-1 sit down counterbalanced trucks. Previously using lead-acid batteries as a power solution, Coca-Cola is making the transition to GenDrive to take advantage of the increased productivity and improved space utilization offered by the technology.
By removing the infrastructure associated with the lead-acid battery charging, changing and maintenance, Coca-Cola will recover more than 2,000 square feet of facility space to use for other business operations. At the same time, electrical consumption will be reduced by an estimated 1.6 million kwh/year. These benefits will help Coca-Cola realize a return on investment and a 15% carbon reduction goal across the business.
"At Coca-Cola, we consider sustainability a core component to everything we do. Our goal is to be the beverage industry leader in energy conservation and climate protection," said Brian P. Kelly, Product Supply Leader, Coca-Cola Refreshments. "Using Plug Power Fuel Cells for our fleet in the San Leandro facility is an example of this commitment. This innovative use of technology will help us reduce our carbon emissions, streamline our operations and work towards our aggressive environmental goals."
"This is the second site in the Coca-Cola system to convert an existing lift truck fleet to GenDrive fuel cells," said Andy Marsh, CEO at Plug Power. "It's evidenced through these repeat customers the real value of the GenDrive solution. Hydrogen fuel cells are competing with the incumbent power sources and winning because they provide the most benefit for the organization. It's a simple business decision."
Plug Power received a purchase order from Coca-Cola in November, 2010 and shipped all 37 units to the customer in December, 2010.
this thing gets back over a buck and stays there we be home free!
Wowsers... you got that right! Go PLUG
avdave, I think at this point in time it is pretty safe to assume that The CEO at the time of these allegations will not be charged with Securities fraud? Or as you stated "very reasonable" to assume.
It is a Fact that he was investigated and had to produce all the documents and records requested of him by the SEC and cooperate with them fully. That did happen so after that exchange and no charges were made he is more than likely of the Hook?
I happen to agree with your opinion that more than likely some kind of deal was cut for the release of testimony about others that were involved? Pure speculation on my part but could very well have taking place given all the facts over the past few years.
It's all water under the bridge now but nice to know that our truth posting was in FACT correct and truthful. There is no better policy as honesty! In the end all these CEO's that LIE get caught or end up on the run!
Speaking of on the RUN? Has anyone ever heard of Mark Klok any more? I really don't think he either is involved here? He is a real shyster and I think he just used the shell to sell what ever shares he managed to receive and or steal and than ran for the hills like he always does!
Will be interesting to see what goes down here now with the current Judgement and lien on this company.
I am quite sure there are some pretty upset folks over the transactions that took place from the exchange of the wand here from Beebe to Klok!
regards
OOPs Back to no BID here? What IS going on? PLEASE EXPLAIN?
john new... been there done that! Same story different day that's all! hey make some money while no one is looking!
maybe not LOL but the price is holding rather well!
