It's nice seeing the Govenator and POW! shown in the same headline. What a dream come true if they are wed together by the Generalissimo on Monday!
http://www.14wfie.com/story/14357038/pow-arnold-schwarzenegger-is-back-baby
The news is all over the media! If Monday's official announcement mentions that this deal directly involves POW, you'll be able to say Hasta Manana Baby to its stock price in the 20s faster than you can say Galifornia! The cash infusion this will generate for POW will be monumental. If the deal's with Marvel, we could still benefit by having Stan's name in the spotlight. Everything associated with him will look golden to investors!
I sure hope that Arnold's new role will be under the umbrella of a very POWerful company, headed by Stan The Man Lee! If so, that means for us a lot of dough! Money, that is. Swimming pools, movie stars. Maybe we'll all be able to join the Clampett's and move to Beverly if this works out right!
This new venture with my alma mater mate (UW-Superior-Wisconsin) Arnold sounds great! My only question is: Will this project be under POW or Marvel? It seems that the TV show SuperHumans is credited to Marvel and POW doesn't appear to be getting any revenues from it. Will this be the case with the Arnold deal too? We need clarification on that. If POW is behind this, the stock will skyrocket very soon.
Trademark infringement lawsuits are very common. Stan probably didn't want a big controversy over this petty matter so amended the name of the group of 7 comic characters. Everyone is out to make a buck and these SLM ambulance chasers are no different. If the case ever does goes to a jury, Stan will likely be 6 feet under by that time, after getting a card from the President for his 100th birthday! That's how long these cases take so don't hold your breath about it. You'll suffocate for no good reason.
This new lawsuit has as much chance of success against Stan as the Cubs do of winning the World Series three years in a row. These clowns have lost more lawsuits against Stan than the Vikings have lost Super Bowls. No chance they'll make it with or without a jury. No need, my friends, to worry! Selling POW at 20 cents with big things to come this summer is bad business. Buying POW at this price is the smart thing to do! I bought a bundle of shares a couple weeks ago at this level and expect to make a good profit on them later this year or next.
POW would not be spending their money on these expensive earnings reports if they expected to go bankrupt some day. Stan is on the elderly side and must want to cash in his chips on POW before long. His partners aren't spring chickens either and want to leave a few bucks for their grandkids.
No doubt these old timers would be happy to sell POW out to Disney which could then own 100% of Stan's creative legacy. Something big is abrew with this crew. I wouldn't jump ship just when it's coming into port!
At least POW is a fully reporting company and has given an honest assessment of their prospects for future earnings. Disney may own just 10% of POW but they own 90% of Stan Lee's work over the years. I would be surprised if Disney doesn't swallow up this company before long. Maybe the buyout price will be a dollar or less but POW is worth far more than 20 cents where it's trading right now. No doubt about that in my mind! I'm sure that Stan is cooking up something very special for his brigadiers. He's taking his own sweet time while stirring the pot but we'll all get our fill when the dinner bell rings. I'll be there when the gettins good. Will you?
Maybe we get a good bounce for POWN this week. The 2010 4th Q earnings should appear by Friday and they should be spectacular, just like that movie Stan may announce at the July Comic Con! I bet our P will out-P the other one in the months to come. I'll be mighty P-O'd if not! GO P-OW GO! To da moon and S000000000N!
That dog must have overdosed on Kennel Ration. You've gotta watch out for the little runts. Our patience will pay off one day. We might be double the price by the first of May! We can't let the naysayers get us down. A smile will get you much farther than a frown.
Thanks, Riverdog. You're a doggone good poster on the POW board! We need to keep you in the kennel.
Great post, Muley! You sure know how to send someone to the "dog" house! We are primed to move sharply to the upside on any decent news that is released. It's inevitable that such news will be forthcoming. I loaded up on more POWN stock last week at 22 and 24 cents. That will look like a steal in a short time.
We do need the Jackster back with his morale raising DD. He'll be around soon enough I'm sure. Let's hope and pray that POW's earnings report is reason for cheer. That will make my day and maybe my year!
Thanks much for informing us of the upcoming 4th quarter earnings report for POW, Wade! I predict that POW will at least come close to posting a profit for the first time. The revenue should be far in excess of any posted in the past. We should finally get back in gear very soon with a good upward tick in our PP. Thanks for your DD!
Here's a link to an article dated 3-23-11 about the SuperHumans TV series that Stan is involved with. It describes the first program from last year though new episodes will be airing soon.

Doggone it, you sure paint a bleak picture for the future of our little pinkie. I'm frustrated too that Stan and the management of POW have retreated into a cone of silence for the past couple months. You'd think that they were captured by that Devin Dark guy who is playing havoc (and not hockey) with the Guardians! We are going nowhere fast and could easily trade in the teens without any guidance from Stan and the Gang.
POW is now a fully reporting company with ties to many successful enterprises and is deriving revenues from various sources. There's no way that this stock should be trading at 20 cents today! Stan was omnipresent last year but scarcely heard from lately. Does anyone know when his next appearance is at a comic con? We need a pep talk and we need it now! I've cast my lot with POW and still believe that a fortune can be made by riding Stan's coattails. The only tweets I've heard lately have been from the robins returning here to Wisconsin. If only Mr. Lee would give us a hopeful tweet. That would surely be mighty sweet!
I'm literally banking on some big news for POW coming out of the San Diego Comic Con in July. I hope we hear something encouraging long before then but we should get a boost in our stock price in late July if Stan is true to his word. We're in suspended animation right now and getting nowhere fast. Something's gotta give soon and the sooner the better IMO!
We could sure use some news to get traders interested in POW again. I bought a fair number of shares last week but we need some new players at the table. Where is Stan these days? Last year he attended comic cons all the time. I hope he doesn't stay invisible much longer. That was not one of his comic characters anyway. Maybe he's going to spring something big on us when we least expect it. Come on Stan! Give us something to chew on.
That guy looks a little "flush" in the face, don't you think? I do hope that Stan and Gil reappear soon to give some reason for cheer for each brigadier holding POW stock. We could use a press release with some good earnings news. With all the revenue POW is generating, the company should be profitable this year. Da moon launch is on schedule with the engines on full thrust. Those not buying POW shares will be left in the dust!
I wish I had some extra money to bet on this new star of the breakout board, H20K9, but all my chips are on POWN. I'll either ride a rocket to da moon or go down with the ship, depending on how Stan does at the helm. Good luck to you and all who venture forth to other penny prospects on the pinkie horizon!
One, two, three. That's how elementary, it's gonna be! POWN is bound for da moon, baby! And that aint maybe!
The stock could easily double or triple with one exciting press release that could come anytime. I expect POWN to trade at a much higher price by summer's end. Disney could always make a takeover offer and probably will in the next year or two. Buying POWN at a quarter is the best buy out there in pinkyland. Mark my words and mark them well!
POWN is now at a 5 1/2 month low. It last hit 20 cents on Oct. 1st of 2010 and traded in the teens and low 20s much of last August and September. It's unreal that POWN should be trading this low again after so many positive developments since then! It's a raging buy unlike anything I've ever seen before (except when this stock was at 5 cents). No doubt we'll see over 30 cents by late July if not long before the big Comic Con. I'm looking for sources of money to further invest in this baby before it explodes upwards. I suggest anyone with any sense to do the same! You won't regret it.
Good news will catch us by surprise when we least expect it. This is the time to stock up on POWN while the price is down. It's asleep right now but will rise up like a Japanese tsunami by Comic Con time. Don't get swamped by the wave of buyers that is coming. Get in while the water's still fine and the sharks are offshore. A little good news from Stan is overdue and we could use a word to the wise from the management guys.
POWN under 30 cents is like gold under $1000 per ounce a short while back. An incredible bargain! Hop aboard now for the ride of your life!
Absolutely! If I owned a home, I'd take out a second mortgage and buy a ton of POWN shares with the money. The stock is going for peanuts now but will soon be in the chocolate covered cashews price range!
I noticed those big trades too on Friday. Looks like somebody dumped about 60,000 shares at 25 cents and someone picked up 20,000 at 26 cents. No doubt POW will be in the 30s soon and will rise in anticipation of Stan's promised announcements at the July Comic Con. It would be foolish to sell your shares now. Patience will bring great rewards this summer and beyond!
Wow! Today's volume was a 4 1/2 month high according to my records and someone took in 23,000 shares at 31 near the close. Something must be up and I hope it's good news for POW and us POWsters!
Jack is right. This new lawsuit has as much chance of hurting POW as Ron Paul has to become our next President! Not that I'd mind Ron in the White House. Stan is probably getting a good laugh out of it. He'll call some Philadephia lawyer and let him waste his time with these stooges. He won't let this sidetrack him one iota! This is a good buying opportunity and buyers today won't be criers tomorrow! If I had more moola, I'd double up on POW shares at these low prices.
It will probably take years to settle this lawsuit if it ever really gets resolved. POW's fortunes shouldn't be affected by it in a tangible way and it's likely just another blast of hot air by people looking to make a buck.
I well remember when we were long lingering around 6 cents and I thought seriously of getting out with a loss by selling under a dime. Then came the Disney 10% buy deal and I sure was glad I stayed the course. It didn't hurt when we went to 87 cents on speculation last April either. Here at around 30 cents, we could be at a rock solid basement for POW. I'll wait around until the elevator takes me a few floors higher at the very least. It's not the time to give up the ghost. That decision could haunt you for a long time!
It does seem strange that Stan speaks to many thousands of fans each year, talks about POW all over the place, and no one seems to spend a penny on this stock. He has lunch with Hef and The Donald and they don't place POW in their stock portfolios. It's like there's a force field preventing any decent assessment of the value of POW. When many other pinks are flying high on 0.0 visible signs of any worth, POW is involved in many money making operations and languishes in never never land. I can't make sense of this and I doubt anyone else can either! The run up to 87 cents last year on mere speculation and its quick collapse to a lower floor could be making some investors gun-shy. There was only smoke back then. Now there's fire and proof galore that POW is here to stay and ready to play.
I think there's a method to Stan's madness. He wants to raise an army of brigadiers to share in his good fortunes. I've enlisted in his army and expect my share of the booty when the loot comes in! This should be the year that POW becomes profitable with revenues coming in from various projects. I'm sure that Disney wants to own all of Stan's legacy. They already own his Marvel-ous past legacy and they'll surely want to lay claim to all he's created in recent years. Since Stan isn't exactly a spring chicken at 88, he's probably close to a buy-out deal with Disney that will come out of the blue. We'll wake up some day soon and find ourselves a whole lot richer than we were the day before! That's my hope and my prayer.
It is indeed hard to explain the way POW trades, BT. With all the publicity (minus official press releases) and hoopla surrounding many exciting projects POW has going, you'd think we'd be trading at a much higher price right now. I bet that 90% of the trades in the past year have involved those who actually post on this board! Insiders and outsiders have played almost no part in the stock action. I sometimes get the feeling that the existence of POW is invisible to most investors. It's like maybe 100 people really know a hill of beans that Stan Lee has a company that is publicly traded.
Yes, it's frustrating but I'm just happy we're not still sitting at 5 cents, praying that the stock will someday double to a dime! We're just in a long term holding pattern, going in circles awaiting big news. We'll have our day but I agree that POW trades somewhere in between the Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits!
The POW website is now very user friendly, unlike one year ago. It has a tremendous amount of info on the company's projects with plenty of pictures and videos from various Stan Lee events in connection with POW. I'd say that Stan and his band of merry men have really gotten their act together in recent months. We're sitting on a financial POWderkeg and I can hardly wait until it explodes our fortunes to da moon! The FDIC will have a hard time insuring all the money we'll eventually make on this ticking timebomb!
I guess I won't be cashing in my POW chips at least until the dog days of August. If that sweet tweet that Stan just made is the real deal, we'll all be happy campers at Comic Con time! Rest easy, my fellow POWsters. The big money is coming to a bank near you very soon and you'll be the ones running to it! Looks like da moon mission is still on!
That was my thought too, NorCal. POW should certainly have PR'd the fact that they and Stan are working on the Guardian Project. Maybe that would have prevented articles saying that Marvel teamed up with the NHL to create this new super hero concept. Investors need to be made aware of such positive developements associated with this company. We seem to be in a holding pattern right now, waiting for lightning to strike. When it does, we'll all be in the money!
At least the stock isn't selling off. There's been nothing but good news from POW for a long time now. No storm clouds on the horizon. Only clear skies and promises of ever expanding profits await us if we just stay in the saddle a while longer. Good things come to those who wait and this will be no exception to that rule. Anyone selling POW at this price will prove to be a fool.
I can sympathize with some of your sentiments, Dog. I've owned POW stock for two years and have sure had my ups and downs with this pretty pinky. When the stock surged last April to 87 cents, I sold a third of my position in the 70 cent range but ended up reinvesting most of those proceeds back into POW on its way down. I never thought it would go back under 30 cents again! At least we're not back to 10 cent land. Since last April, there have been many very positive developments for this company. I'm certain that we'll be trading much higher by the end of 2011 when POW gets noticed by people who already know Stan Lee. They just don't realize that he and POW are basically one and the same.
I'm sure that if I sold my POW holdings today, I'd regret it tomorrow. Or maybe next month. The management has been more attentive to our concerns lately and really is making an effort to boost the PPS. More needs to be done to get this doggie moving and I look forward to a breakthrough soon for your sake and mine.
I wonder about that too. Maybe Disney fully intends to buy out POW but doesn't want the PPS to run up too much before they sweep in and snatch up the company. Stan may under orders to lay low but I'm not so sure that makes any real sense at all. I'm sure that Disney is calling a lot of the shots though.
Amen to that TT! We need exposure to the investment world so that everyone knows that POW is a publicly traded company. We just can't stay under the radar and expect anything to change in the PPS!
The press release was posted to my Scottrade POW news site. Anyone looking for news on our company should be able to see it under the POW banner.
