nice volume today
That bid has been there a long while!
That's always the case. ??
Wow. Bomb drop today. Sad. Good for those who've wanted in.
Did not think we'd see these levels again.
Pro bono lawyering! Let's go with $150 a share.
Lol, barely covered commission costs.
Not sure it was worth it?
Lots of energy left in him to run company!
Do you know his age?
146 shares at the ask.
That might be 10 grand in someone's pocket next year.
We could see a short squeeze here on big news.
Actually there should be no doubt that will happen on big news.
Perhaps even a MOASS.
Ha ha ha.
I'm just curious where this little stock price will end up with such a little float once a settlement is reached.
This is the smallest stock I've ever played.
No sellers left, imo. Would be insane.
Manati up up up
upped to 8
got my sell at $2
Might have to update my handle :)
Going $1
There are no shares left. this is a real gem here!
could sink fast too, there are sell offs here every day
When do we go to $1?
He may not do anything either. I'm not aware of them having ever released any news. They don't appear to have a PR or marketing firm (and why would they).
It's interesting to note the stock itself. Been around for decades, bouncing around...
No sign of typical penny scamming, no splits, and don't see any share structure changes.
Mostly just been dormant.
Surprised it never was delisted
It is exactly that. A hot mess.
Very interested in watching this one play out. Hoping it doesn't take years....
That's an interesting angle, however, they may also thumb their noses at us.
I have no idea how they will handle it. They have never given a damn about their economy or people.
They could start now, however. But I'd expect it to be a slow change, slow process...
I would think the only option Cuba would agree to would be a US payout.
They don't have that kind of money! Cuba will never pay.
Not likely they'd receive any land or equivalent, either. Cuba is going to to put all the blame on the US.
Not much has changed there since 1960. Same cars, same worn down buildings and there's still unpatched bullet holes from the Cuban Revolution of the 50s.
Me too been sleepy for 5 or more years
I throw pennies at dead stocks now and then. Once in a while they rumble back to life.
Didn't cost anything
It'll probably delist and dissolve.
Nope.
I've read that it's Cuba who has to pay out this settlement money?
If that's true they will either not pay at all, or pay as little as possible.
If it's the US Government, I can see Manati getting fair value.
Called broker
Thanks jd
It would be nice if we could updates from the company direct, as in a press release.
I bought some shares.
The 48M million is a figure from the early 1970s, is that correct?
I haven't looked into it much (I don't do D/D much on smartphones) but does that number account for lost revenue over the years and I wonder if it can be retroactively backdated 56 years. With interest even. That number would be yuuuge.
Also, if that was an assessed value 40 years ago (buildings, land, etc) it most certainly would be higher in today's dollars.
Right. I don't often trade above 25 cents, and I gather most people on IHUB stick with lower prices stocks.
However the float is tiny. Gains and losses are astronomical in either direction.
Are we talking about settling all claims before sanctions can be removed or Manati specifically?
That's good news, but isn't it up to a judge now to decide the financial fate of MSC with regards to their lost assets, revenue, etc...?
What good will any trade agreements do at this point? I thought we were waiting on a settlement, unless Manati plans to cultivate and open up trade to US from Cuba again?
Is MNII still an operating company I the US? Or is it just a shell with seized assets?
