Maybe your problem is that you've gotten in this comfort zone with your movie selection. Maybe if you...I don't know, watch some of those sappy chick flix and try to remember the names of the female characters. And for every wrong answer you give, your girlfriend can bikini wax the hairs out of your chest, or drip hot candle was on you, or hook you up to a car battery. You may not enjoy it, but those Netflix movies won't be boring anymore. I'm crying laughing as I'm writing this. Dont take this serious. Sick JM, I know, I'm sick.

I agree with the different sub count #'s we can get from different tiers. I'm sure I also read that the count is different depending how you pay. I used PayPal. And my # was #399. Someone else signed up a day ahead of me and I think they were #309. But real talk. I could really care less about number now. The majority of us know the real sub numbers will come after the movies, and DVR.
I was #399 last Wednesday. But not sure of the count now. Haven't heard anyone give a response about latest sub count. The one thing I have seen is even if Twitter isn't as active as some would like, they are continuing to come thru on what they have promised.
Earlier this morning there were those who were offended that madrabbit even mentioned Viva and Netflix in the same breath. It didn't seem as if madrabbit was trying to say the way in which VIVA is delivering their product is in any way technologically superior to Netflix. I'm sure that during Netflix's infancy, there were people who said Netflix ain't no Blockbuster Video. But Netflix didn't want to become the next Blockbuster, they were bound and determined to become the first Netflix. They knew people didn't want the hassle of going to pick up videos, but wanted the videos to come to them. First by DVD, and now streaming. And good God, as we all know, Netflix are now making there own movies. I know I don't want VIVA to be the next Netflix, I want them to be the first VIVA. Where ever that may take them.
My bad. But I'm only going back to the POS comments I've read countless amounts of times. That VIVA as a company are nothing but a joke. Customer service counts a lot. As we all know, there are companies that do nothing but tabulate customer feedback. (JD Power and associates for one) A POS company wouldn't respond back in any timely fashion, let alone on the weekend. But hey, I hope u read just how extremely satisfied the IHUBER was to have that his service restored. I'm sometimes amazed at how some people will use anything as a negative.
That is just incredible. Hopefully all of those who continue to call the company a POS, this should put some of that non sense to rest. I couldn't help, but I read all the post from the members here who tried their best to help u.
Excellent points all of them. But I can remember when I started hearing about Netflix, and HULU, and saying, "who are they. And also kinda wondering if they would really catch on. Hahaha. Yeah, they kinda caught on. But, those companies were determined and knew they had a very good product. I see the an awful lot of similarities with VIVA.

Thank you acampors for steering us back to a demographic that most cable and satelitte providers have only have only served in the past as an afterthought. Of course the big boys will give them the redundant Telemundo, Univision East and West, and regular american made films with Spanish dubbed over English, and call that a Spanish channel. I work with a number of Latinos of course from Mexico, and I called one over this morning and began to show him all the channels on VIVA. As I scrolled thru the menu he would say "Hey, go back, go back," as he continued to see channels he was familiar with. I had to let him go, but my question to him was if these were good channels or crap. Of course he loved the channels and wanted Mexican News channels (which VIVA has, and Mexican movies.) Viva are course are fully aware that catering to such a large segment of the population that has yet to really been tapped into, is also just mind blowing. I was also so happy to see the VIVA displays that I had only seen in English, are now in Spanish. Another reason why I think this not moving as quickly as some people would like. Think of how daunting this has to be to launch something like this in English, but to do it in Spanish too. Hell, that's double the workload. And you've got to get it right the first time. It's not just languages, but cultures they're dealing with too. The two cultures, wants and needs are totally different. It can't be an easy task. Patience people, patience.

Thanks Chill. We won't be making the full switch till November and the end of the Formula 1 season. No NBCSports on Viva yet. Started to go thru how everything is hooked up in my house, too long to talk about. I'll be giving at&t a call to send out a technician.
Thanks whitie. One of our biggest problems with our current speed is it's fine with me just using my phone to watch Viva's programming. Our problem is two fold with this low Wi-Fi band width we current have with at&T. It's fine if I'm using just my phone to watch Viva's programming. But when the kids (who are away in college now) are here using their laptops, we are all on our cell phones, the PC is on, we get freezing and in some cases we will get a message from Direct TV to come back later when my wife is trying to watch anything On Demand. And we will be going to another alarm company, and the video monitors they will provide will do nothing but freeze too. And we all know what we will get when we go to XFINITY/Comcast. Sign up for low prices, and watch the prices go right back up again. Oh well
Hey whitie, another question. I have at&t internet service. Did at&t have to totally re-wire your home to upgrade you to their 1000Mbps internet service. When we drop Direct TV, we may be going to XFINITY for internet. I'd kinda like to stick with at&T internet being that we already have them. But I'm almost sure they told me we would have to pay for the internet upgrade.

And that's my point Pittman. Without anything definitive, and with missed deadlines, we are only left to speculate. You have those of us who have seen the same things you have with late CC portals, ROKU, Amazon apps. But now we have them. I've said it before, even powerhouses like Boeing, and Airbus miss deadlines all the time. So you have some who see a nearly finished and successful product after the implementation of maybe two more features. Hence, the finish line. But to others, unless they see smooth sailing, every new roll out date hit spot on, gains of 100% 4 days out of 5. Then this company is heading right back to no bid. And hey, gotta give it to ya. As of right now. You are da man. We are ticking down every day. My only thing is Pittman, if I didn't have an ounce of faith in a so called POS company such as this, there is NO WAY IN THE F__K I would stick around day after day, after day telling people how gullible they were, and how incompetent the CEO was. Maybe once or twice, but after that I would wish everyone the best, and I would have been so gone. But maybe, just maybe, you kinda want this company to succeed too. You're waiting like just the reat of us when it starts to gain traction. When it does, you're jumping back in thats for sure. But if it doesn't, you can say ylu warned us. Even though I've decided to exercise patience with OTTV. As long as we are given vague statments from Viva, along with a couple if missed deadlines, the only thing any of us can do is speculate. Being negative and predicting doom and gloom, that's the easy part. But remaining upbeat even when you can see the finish line, that's the tough part.
I should have mine tomorrow or Wednesday. No biggie.
My set top box has yet to arrive, so I'm also using my cell phone exclusively. But I'm streaming via Wi-Fi at home and at work, so there are virtually no data charges. I only use data when I'm out and can't, or don't feel comfortable using someone else's Wi-Fi.

Excellent point about Amazon. Some people just can't see a vision all the way through jpicker. Others just dont have an ounce of faith. In a way I can understand. I'm sure a number of us who are here have been burned in the past. Just read an piece about a power plant stock trading on the big boards that is now tanking from insider trading. They left a lot if people holding the bad over there. Needless to say, they are being investigated. So it just doesn't happen in OTC land. But my only point was a lot of successful companies started off with a lot of debt, and even after rising through the ranks, that debt just continues to grow X1000.

They have been gone for about 4 or 5 days now. I was hopeful that the new real up to date movies were coming. They also told me when I ordered my set top box on Wednesday that the movies were coming. But I think someone on this site said that they told them the same thing also about month ago when they subscribed. But I think they are trying hard to get them loaded.
