vic - Let him have it
Cause - Since some many posters had such an appropriate comment for your topic and the rest of the board without a solution (of course what would you expect here right ;). Since It looks like that topic dissipated nicely I figure I would bring the question back up, all opinions and/or comments aside.

They have a 30 day trial that may help you figuring out your Capital Gains for the year. Good Luck and Go NDOL Go
Pinkie, Hang on in there I believe NDOL has something under their sleeve or they are just following the guidelines of the SEC to close their books (NDOL) completely.
What they have done with the last filling is just a formality necessary for the reverse merger with North-West Oil to happen. I have or 50 grand on this I am holding on.
wish - Thanks for disecting my post so well,
I think the stock will keep going down until the 300mil shares are out in the market. MM are sure in control right now, accumulation is the name of the game.
again great job wish

Sozina said that to implement these projects and a number of other projects in Russia, details of which she was unable to disclose, NWOG plans to attract funds by placing shares. In particular, the company has been listed on the US Pinksheets and plans to place 300 million new shares, thereby increasing charter capital to 900 million shares.

saritchey - Thanks for the link and welcome to the board. I just did a search in google and found a similar news article posted here
http://www.ogj.com/display_article/274583/120/ARTCL/none/GenIn/MOL_to_buy_out_Russian_partner_in_Wes...
it looks like the new name (NWOG) is propagating quite rapidly
Cause, dont forget this about identifiying shares
http://www.fairmark.com/capgain/ident.htm
You were in the correct website just needed to dig a little deeper. :)
That is the part that scares me.
Cause, read this example (Basis adjustment), pay close attention to this part "the $32 you paid, plus the $20 wash sale adjustment."
**********************************************
Example: Some time ago you bought 80 shares of XYZ at $50. The stock has declined to $30, and you sell it to take the loss deduction. But then you see some good news on XYZ and buy it back for $32, less than 31 days after the sale.
You can't deduct your loss of $20 per share. But you add $20 per share to the basis of your replacement shares. Those shares have a basis of $52 per share: the $32 you paid, plus the $20 wash sale adjustment. In other words, you're treated as if you bought the shares for $52. If you end up selling them for $55, you'll only report $3 per share of gain. And if you sell them for $32 (the same price you paid to buy them), you'll report a loss of $20 per share.
**********************************************
Here is the link http://www.fairmark.com/capgain/wash/ws101.htm
The tricky part doing stocks is that you must keep accurate records of dates and quantities when you purchase and sell the stock. (you may want to use an excel spreadsheet and record the transactions as soon as you buy and sell)
Cause, I will get a link for you.
Here is something on the magma oil. It shows 95% owned by Sibir
Magma Oil Company (95% Sibir owned) holds the licenses for the Yuzhnoe and
Orekhovskoe oilfields in Khantiy-Mansiysk District of West Siberia.

Cause,
You could sell your NDOL shares Dec31,06 and buy them back Jan1,07, you will not have to pay the capital gain and will be able to claim a loss or pay less capital gain on the money you made for your first investment (the other stocks gain xxxx)for 2006.
Buying the shares back immediately will not be classified as a wash sale as long as you dont have a gain after you buy them back. In other words if 30 days elapse without a gain after you buy back (ie Jan1,07) you will be home free and back where you are now without the wash sale or capital gain tax law penalty.
I guess no more I see no more headlines or news at the yahho finance web page

I am only in for 10k more, I got 50g's on this already :)
Cause, what is your buy setup at? I need 10k more...
Im here too just not posting as much, this whole thing makes me laugh, and I have 55k here.

I am just a watcher for now. All my funds are tied up elsewhere. Fyi, they have a great product worth investing in.
I just had to much money tied up my first time around and the bad publicity essentially hurt the SP big time. It is just a matter of time before they are back upthere.
FastEddie - This was part of the reason from back in Feb
http://www.foodsafeint.com/press/r112.html
The stock acted like a Pump and Dump before and after this release came out. I was one that bought at 4 cents early this year and sold at 11 after seeing what it was turning into.
OT - I dont feel so bad anymore

Brian Hunter, Amaranth Advisors
To say Hunter, 32, has had an up-and-down year doesn’t quite do justice to his 2006. According to the Journal, his account was up by $2 billion at the end of April. Then he lost $1 billion in May, made that amount back over the summer and finally took his $5 billion bloodbath last week. What’s behind the huge swings? Gyrating prices -- natural gas was above $15 per British thermal unit last December but just at $5 now -- and huge multi-billion-dollar positions, according to the Journal.

Always Faithful Is now assistant moderator of the board.
Wish you all the best with your investment endeavors.
Cause - You and me are in somewhat in the same boat, took gains from others stocks and place them here. The only difference is that I calculated the capital gains from previous sales and deposited the money on a high yield CD.
Now the tax money is paying me interest.
I got no other news for you sorry, just waiting like everybody else.
Mildtrans- I agree with that guess, personally I think NWOG will have something to say about all their past mispelled PR's.
Mispelling or grammar should not be a problem anymore with the new PR firm, even though it is always possible.
I would say that the timing issues mentioned by management show their ambition to get thier plans completed, they are just a bit offsink with their reality.
I rather have a leading offsink management than a lagging offsink one, Only God would know what would happen then. Go NDOL Go.

2 quotes from the Conclusion
"The present process suggests that this group is proceeding to the next stage of 'getting rich' -developing its own business base."
"If the above interpretation of the emergence of new oil companies is correct, as the 2008 presidential election approaches, we should expect more private companies to arise, both in the energy sector and elsewhere. However, as most assets in Russia have already been divided, this process is unlikely to be smooth."
