Not going to attract a great deal of interest from bigger fish until it gets more volume and Level 2 shapes up...looks kind of ugly right now.
I mentioned SOYO to my Office Max - we don't carry their TV's...although this isn't necessarily bad, we're in a small market. However, I'm a little worried about the LCD's. According to most of the "pros" - and I've seen the price cutting myself - we're going to see some pretty big discounts on these items. Per the CC from Corning, they sold a record amount of LCD glass this year, and I'm thinking that manufacturers really ramped up their production of the LCD's. However, given the credit market turmoil, demand looks to have eased some. Hopefully, SOYO can make up the difference in volume. I'm sure these are the real fears that caused the sell-off, not to mention that the stock tripled from where the CEO exercised his options at 55 cents.
Question: Are the Honeywell TV's of a different size than the existing SOYO brands? I don't want to see any cannibalization of existing sales. Thanks in advance.
Anyone having trouble with Ameritrade's Level 2?
Ok...enough posting. I don't want to be considered a basher. It's rare to find a BB stock with this kind of revenue...which is why my interest was piqued.
I appreciate your input. Like I said I like the stock. When I hear the CEO state that better sources of funding are available on the AMEX - undoubtedly true - it worries me. My worry as a potential investor (as with all "penny stocks") is the dreaded Reverse Split. If we have enough money to grow without financing then one should be unlikely. I've seen too many companies R/S their stocks just to meet an exchange requirement. That would probably ruin SOYO...not to mention reverse out many smaller investors. Has Ming spoke on this before?
I'm listening to the CC.
Well...I don't invest blind either. And it's true you can hide things anywhere...but when a company tells you it's strapped for cash then it's strapped for cash IMO.
No doubt. It's a process. I usually start with the official quarterly report. CC's are invaluable as well. If I like the Q then I'll dig a little deeper.
Does it say something different than the quarterly report?
I've watched Level 2 for a couple months looking for a good entry point. I almost pulled the trigger several times, but I was waiting for the quarterly report. I think why we're going down - or who knows being shorted if you will - comes from the Q...
"In September 2007, the Company announced to shareholders that it was negotiating
with several independent third parties to raise capital. The capital would be
used to improve the balance sheet and increase the Company's borrowing
capabilities. The Company further stated that with the large increases in sales
during the year, all of the Company's credit had been utilized, and that the
Company was having difficulties purchasing enough products to maintain the 2007
level of sales growth. As of the date of this report, the Company had not yet
agreed with any outside party on any capital transaction."
The part about "having difficulties purchasing enough products to maintain the 2007 level of sales growth" scared me a little. Obviously we need money to keep our current sales trend and we need money I'm assuming to market the Honeywell agreement.
Any thoughts? I like the stock...it's sometimes hard with these thinly traded BB's to find a good entry point.
Amen! I look in from time to time on this stock...I used to own a few shares. I was lucky; I bought in at around .013, I believe, and sold at around .027. Just got the feeling an R/S was coming, after a great deal of likely dilution.
Maybe one day "EPS will come to the shareholders;" I hope so...I still see some of my compadres from a few years ago still holding this stock.
I'm not bashing, although I had a few rounds with the Bickels through email. I'm grateful I made a small amount of money here. Good luck to you.
Merry Christmas RBG :)
Yeah. One of us must need some investment funds :)
Obsess much?
Watch out weatherbill. I heard the sky might be falling tomorrow.
You've been on some good ones lately.
Heck yeah. I'd shine his shoes for 10K. I liked the thesis behind WLT. Good trade on the MGEN.
Happy Birthday Bud! Didn't know.
I doubt I could pick a nice pair even if I lived on Hooters Island.
Still for the life of me can't figure out why this country bothers with soccer. Give me real football baby! - none of these frail goofballs lightly bumping into one another, and some frailer referee throwiing around yellow and red cards - what's that all about anyway, LOL?
Just teasing of course.
Sorry Bud. Wasn't feeling to well and overslept. You back in XKEM?
I think we found this one earlier near its low...then it wasn't trading much. Good double at least.
Hey Bud. Don't know if you got my mail but I was away today. I'll read about it...not that that helps now.
Spent a couple hours updating the security Bud. Apparently - the AOL guys are always amusing - some components may not have installed properly. Now I should be good to go...already blocked one virus, LOL. My computer needs a better condom.
Another few upticks today. Slow and steady.
Looks like I'll be out for today Bud. Good luck with the stocks.
Silly - SB-2, then R/S...insane. Concerning the PR......
That's why I was watching your stock like a hawk. After 2 down days, a little momo plus some volume and up. I'd say you may be right. I may not be able to hop in if it goes, but I hope you make some Mad Money.
SEIH joins the Toxic Financing Game.
SEIH shareholders just got the big shaft.
Yeah. Should never lose that big a lead. I can't get my finger around our stock this morning.
Wow! What a comeback. Win or lose the Heat showed some character there in the last 7 mins.
Big Ben's motorcycle accident.
Looks like Big Ben got VERY lucky.
Man - bet the Cramer's email on TheStreet is getting hit today. KRY - getting hammered. I don't care if Warren Buffett was taking a stake - I wouldn't touch a SA company for any amount of money. Those guys can just nationalize your profits in a heartbeat.
Slow day out there.
Think it's sort of like the most actives in that you just have to watch it and get a feel. I noticed some early movers that I looked at, but none had news; and several of them quickly went from momentum gainers to losers - may just have been amateur hour messing with the stats.
Seemed like good news. No volume out there today.
Nothing exciting on the MMD yet.
Don't believe so Bud. Not unless during the LR, which I don't pay much attn to.
