I did. Nice relaxing evening just chillin in front of the tv. I don't think we said 3 words to each other the whole time LOL
I'm so happy. We're going to stay here at Nikki's again tonight...all alone...just me and Terri and the dogs. No creepy wino sister stumbling around cooking eye of newt and wing of bat stew downstairs...and no 5 yr old talking non stop until you want to put an ice pick in your own head...ahhhh bliss.
The first dog that barks is going to be introduced to General Tso and Captain Spring Roll.
LOL It's a brother thing!
LOL
I was amazed to watch them work. Especially since they were putting up the WRONG shed for us and refused to listen when I told them LOL
We got a shed 3 times what we paid for and they had to leave it or destroy it so they left it.
THE NEW PHONE BOOK IS HERE! THE NEW PHONE BOOK IS HERE!
Actually our power is back on at home but that doesn't sound as funny.
A few years ago we had the Amish put a shed up for us. Two guys and 3 hours later a 16x10x8 shed was built in my back yard. Granted the walls were already built...but they put them all together and put the roof and shingles on the roof fast as lightning.
They were like a swarm of bees...all 2 of them LOL
Thanks everyone for the well wishes...this too shall pass.
Yeah he's been yapping all day. LOL He's a decent Gov so I'll cut him a break.
It's not as humid today as it has been...it's still miserable though. It's 90-something degrees and Nikki's A/C here isn't working either. STILL! They're supposed to come back today to fix it but so far...nothing.
I have to go cut up a watermelon for the little monkey...then I have to play a game with her.
Talk to you all a little later!
We have a transformer right in our backyard so USUALLY (when we don't have stupid made up storms LOL) that's the one whose fuse blows...us and the neighbors to the left and all down that side of the block are dark while right next door to the right and that side of the block have power. And the people on the other side of the street stay on too most times.
Girl I been sweating my ass off the last few days...screw that bike and all of it's cousins.
I try to mow down or weed whack whatever pops it's ugly little head up.
LOL It's an all purpose product.
Thanks Andy...the houses all around us had trees down too...thankfully none of them on our street landed IN anyones house.
Our cell phones worked for a couple of hours after the storm and then they stopped. The home phone (the number you usually call) went out 15 minutes into it.
They said some cell towers were out too. Once we left Bowie on Saturday afternoon to go to Terri's other sisters house out by BWI we had service.
Thanks G! Will do
Thanks Flo! They're saying Thursday afternoon...we'll see.
Not huge storms...just loud. I got a little rest...not enough of course but the little one will be going to her daddy's this evening so Terri and I can have a some peace and quiet.
My neighbor across the street called to tell me her power was back on. But it appears ours is still off. They said it could be Thursday afternoon before ours is back on.Terri will run by there on her way back here form work and see what's what.
I don't know how they do it but they do. Probably a giant generator.
Put in 21114 (unless it comes up already). Don't think I'm going to have to water them tomorrow.

Just got the severe alert over the tv. Let me shut this thing off before I get it blown up.
Talk to you tomorrow Janice. I hope
Waste booze on the dogs? Woman have you bumped your head? LOL
I don't think Nikki has anything here anyway. If she did I would asleep by now.
We couldn't even call the power company from home Friday night.
Of course we lost the house phone when the power went out because we have the stupid bundle from Comcast...but then our cell phones kept losing the signal too. Texts would come in 3 or 4 at a time as the network came back on for 30 seconds at a time. We couldn't really 'talk' to anyone until Saturday afternoon when we went to Terri's sisters to go swimming.
AND our 15 yr old twin Godsons were there whining and bitching about how hot it was. They tried to talk us into going to a hotel. NOT.
That's another thing...the reports on TV said the hotels and motels around the area are charging $500 a night...for a room at MOTEL 6!!! I hope they get in BIG trouble for it too.
Tornadoes scare the shit out of me. I actually like thunderstorms. Regular ole normal old timey thunderstorms. But I can't remember the last time we had one of those. They're all severe thunderstorms with all kinds of warnings.
Oh please go ahead and laugh...I'm laughing it up too! NOW. LOL But I tell ya that shit wasn't funny Friday night.
I hear thunder...dammmmmmmit.
I would go outside and check but...as soon as I get up to go in the kitchen or bathroom or anything the poor dogs are up my butt. They are REALLY freaked out.
They don't usually ride in the car unless they have a vet appointment...and we NEVER take them to anyones house. The past couple of days they've been dragged around in the car every 5 minutes and stayed at 2 different places. I was lucky to be able to take a shower by myself LOL
Terri and Kamryn are sound asleep I hope it doesn't thunder too much.
That stuff grows all kinds of mess! LOL Sometimes it's pretty too!
I've been using the same little tub of it for at LEAST 12 years LOL I never use it for anything...I'm not even sure why I have it??
Absolutely! I'm looking at the weather now and we're about to get clobbered again. I just hope it's not some other never before heard of line of storms.
LOL! It's bad. Some people are even stuck in their neighborhoods because of fallen trees and power poles and lines...it looks like a movie set war zone in some places.
I've been in this area all my life and I've never heard of or experienced anything like that storm. EVER!
I think they're trying to set it up so they can downplay the global warming connection.
I don't know how much of this global warming stuff is actually man made or if maybe it IS just the natural way things go...I tend to believe the former more than the latter...but whatever the REASON...it's a lot hotter now than it ever has been in my lifetime.
No...I'd never heard of it before. And I hope I never hear of it again LOL
LOL I know...I heard one weather guy the other night talking about how cool they were. Really? Not from my point of view they aren't. The weather guy on our favorite station said it was a very rare thing to have in this area...but that they usually happen in the midwest. I'd never heard of it at all.
We stayed in Glen Burnie last night with Terri's niece. They got a bad storm but nothing like what we got. They never lost power at all. Bowie is only 25 minutes or so away from Glen Burnie.
Right now we're in Crofton and will be until the power is back on at home. Our neighbors almost all have trees down in their yards...we had a few large branches but thankfully no whole trees. I think most of my garden will be ok...if I can get over there to water it.
This is an interesting article/story about it.

Yes there were some storms in Ohio....boy oh boy do I know about them storms LOL!
They were saying on our news at 5 and 6 that night that the storms were called a Derecho storm. Apparently very rare for our area. Scary stuff
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derecho
Awwww how sweet. Good job Andy!
Me too.
It says it's 80 here in Crofton now but I think they lie LOL
I think Mother Nature may take care of it for me...THIS SUCKS!
We've been without power since Friday night and they're telling us it could be next weekend before it's back on. Hopefully it'll be before that.
We had just been to the grocery store Friday evening because we went to pick up our Godsons for the weekend and then had to throw most of that food away...as well as what we already had in the freezer and fridge. We've been dragging 3 coolers around with us for 2 days. We stayed at one relatives house last night but now we're at Nikki's (Kamryn's mom) so I can watch Kam here this week. And of course she's having trouble with her A/C too. We can't catch a cool breeze.
There are trees down everywhere...traffic lights out all over the place...gas stations that are open and have gas have lines 20 to 30 minutes long just to get to the pumps. And there's another line of storms coming overnight. They say they won't be as bad as Friday...only 50-60 MPH winds instead of the 80 MPH we got then.
Well I'm going to answer a few PM's and then hit the hay...have a nice evening guys!
Those of you who are so inclined please keep us in your prayers...this has been a harrowing few days with 99° temps and all the mess of trying to get from one place to another. Poor Buddy and Sassy are so upset they don't even want to eat.
Hmmmm. Interesting.
