If It were
I would expect both TOVC and RIT would be shouting from the rooftops, and this doesn't seem like it would fall under any Non disclosure covenant..All numbers ..from one of your recent posts do you infer that Torvec's technology is in fact what Eaton is touting like we have some double secret development deal for the past 6-7 years- or, is this a competing tech that is going to, or already has, made the IVT irrelevant on Class 3 trucks.?? Not leading I'm just trying to follow your intent of the post....
That is what
Dread used to refer to as "moving the goal posts" and for which he was scorned by management for the mere suggestion. If you truly made a list of what has been pointed out in filings and matched it up to reality of what failed to materialize it literally could fill a book. Then we get the excuses/rationalizations, the macro economic conditions which prohibited the commercialization etc.. It is hard most times not to find this strategy of commercialization regardless of who is at the helm as being more wishing and hoping, than planning and executing. Build up the hype and hope around the SCCA "Fall run offs" for 4-6 months and then the car breaks down 30 feet after the green flag but then don't even mention it- maybe they will forget about it???.It is like all this history- The Torsen, the Tilt Cab etc, never happened- like there is nothing to build on??! C'mon already- do something for your shareholders to build value..
they gonna have anything to talk about after racing season is over..??
Replied
to allnumbers open question about the 5% of the company as being "a reward" for third party commercializing something- to your point giving somebody a 5% stake for a 60,000 loan..no that makes no sense.....
For a guy who said you would be happy at $2 a share-do you really care how an incentive/loan is structured ?? I'm not saying it is that (incentive) but he was making that argument) - at this point it is probably gonna involve giving up a percentage of the company to make a deal to commercial this technology......that was my point..?? I care about increasing the value of the investment- if they have to give away part of the company to do that..I'm o.k. with that.
In that event it makes sense..
In any other scenario it makes little or no sense..so hope you are spot on..but I'll be breathing normally in the interim.
Lemme Know
if you read a tweet that says "Hey we're going to be the sole
Differential Supplier to GM for the Cadillac going forward..woot"/???
< Keep in mind, no other company....
has achieved any magnitude of commercialized sales of this technology either. Once they do, which will be very soon, as it has already started, demand will follow and Torvec will be positioned well due to these achievements. >
Allnumber please eaborate, if you will, why you think they hydraulic hybrid technology is closer to commercialization than say three years ago, five years ago..I guess what I'm looking for anybody to attempt to tackle is how is time our friend with respects to this investment??.I've been told that giant rock on the very high hill has been poised to roll down the Hill of
Prosperity for several years now..What it feels like is a giant Rock slowly gathering moss...I think the Air force involvement is wonderful but I also have a nagging feeeling that a commercializing event with them or any Govt agency could be a decade away..Company has no capital, management is on the older side..what is the future for torvec shareholders ??Is there one??
<Once, Torvec invented the pump and motors,..
all that was left was a software problem. >
Oh that would be wonderful if it was true (validated) & supported .Friend we have had so many mirages, I have so much sand in my eye can't see a thing anymore.Kudos to you for still having an active dream gene
curious
what the results would be if they conducted
a new poll at shareholders meeting on share price
needed to acquire the company's assets/techology?
Certainly can't speak for the group but I imagine
it would be considerably less than $76 a share..!!
One thing you have to say about Jim, he was remarkably
consistent in his prognostications- just never
put a time frame on things and you are never wrong your shareholders are just impatient.
4) More of the same...
aka CSS..Commercialization Stall Syndrome
Follow up question..
For serious takers ..
For those who remain enthusiastic longs - strong swimmers in this Marathon, can you outline briefly or make an argument how time has helped Torvec's postion with OEM's..Not the stock price (obviously you can't make that argument) .. See I held out some hope That Jim and Management's point that the Domestic makers were in such a world of hurt during downturn that they had to do something different and that would help TOVC's commercialization efforts..
if nothing comes from GM/Fords ISO Torque reviews ( how long does that take??love to know that??) then has that ship sailed?? the one off ISo torques with the specialty job shops out in Ca while another validation of the superior technology will be a non event in the share price I'm betting..and that is about all that holds my interest...Maybe Hyundai will be the first to put it in stock units..and this can have a little light shed on it again..It's been a long time ?? just rambling ...again...
Hey Zendo...Yeh..but what does one really own??
there are a lot more questions than those that
have no answers...( the stress/life testing I mean..)
..BOD has as much importance
to the erosion of Market Cap and share price obliteration as do those ever present (naked?) short sellers..In fact if the tech had the "overwhelming interest" why haven't they been able to make one deal, sell one peice to get us off the OTC-BB routlette wheel...that would have given us working capital and if not eliminated the short selling- certainly made it less of an issue.
I agree with the no CEO or CFO designation. I agree COB is the Invisible Man save the once a year FTD delivery
You aren't..
feeling fat, dumb and happy @ .35 cents..??..most days I got dumb covered..but ya know every once in a while..stuff happens..so who knows...
I wonder if Heinricy
was on the California Trip to Hyundai and or after market players .?? Who better to share "how it really works"- feel, performance than he..?
maybe the boldest but the best one was..
It's "the penthouse or the outhouse" for us longs..
cavier or crap?? such a beautifully simple premise...
What kind of revenue..
could the aftermarket program realistically generate?? follow up- what would possible impact be on share price??..welcome all takers..
<The winning results in these races must be increasing shareholder value even though there appears to be a delay in the change in the stock price.>
So to my earlier query-if Heinricy wins the next 300 races in a row but the stock still languishes in the 35-50 cent range- Is our shareholder value increasing?? .Me I'll take the olds days when maybe a little hype and promises of eminent commercialization made the stock jump a couple of bucks in a week,,,..Save the post of him winning at the Glen...of course he will...
Nothing will move this
short of a significant commercialization event..
meaning in the multi-millions- Henricy can win 300 races in a row- we will still trade under a buck imo..
Well in my mind
it is a lot more relevant to .34 cents a share than what any jackals in the Caymans may or may not be doing for kicks..
4037/TOVC 0/ 184
If not a book..
It'd make for a great "Late Show Top Ten List..."..??
#10) "where else are they gonna go"
said at Annual Meeting about 2002 in reference to OEM's
looking for solutions to cost, efficiency and innovative
new products.....
To your last point..
I would hope Heinricy, both as the beneficiary of the tehnology on the track and as past Director of Gm Performance would say..."you guys (GM) may want to buy this technology..( maybe company..) I would love to see a Hyundai move real fast to get this in car..oh wouldn't that be something to see company's racing to incorporate the Iso torque into their production models..I mean the fact that Vernon invented the original Torsen ..then before he passed away said he improved it vastly with the iso torque would cut down somewhat on the years and years of development and testing..
Yet look at GM historically : not alot of innovation and risk taking with them....I agree: What does the guy/ car have to do ..??? beat Joe Dimaggio's hitting streak ( i.e. win 56 in a row) before people say..It's winning because of the iso torque..???
You gotta be RIT..
either grad or staf..c'mon now...:)
Good Post...
appreciate the candor. I have to be honest, while I agree you can't build much on negatives, I honestly wish I had approached this investment 10 years ago with a sharper, more critical due diligence. I blame no one but myself. I got caught up in hype and euphoria of those supposedly more in the know who's opinion was this was a can't miss proposition. In fairness to even that crowd, they may still be right.......I like the open dialogue this Board and I, more than anybody, go back and forth on it's potential when weighing the historical track record.
Yeh but back to the Asian
Construction Equipment manufacturer....???
1) still testing??
2) Find a better pump?
3) went in another direction?
4) management changed? (hey it happens)
5) Financially strapped at present??
6) "What Asian Construction Equipment Manufacturer" ?? ( yeh Uh- oh...)
See some of us aren't as indignant as you may think- just following
the data as it is presented.
Regards
Oops...poor edit..
never another word is uttered "verbally or in print.." is what the intent of the semi-rant... Pardon
There are numerous others as well...
There was once an Asian Construction Equipment manufacturer
that was said to be incredibly enamored with our Pump and Motor..
So of course, like a speculative investor, I'm thinking Kumatsu or some "other biggy" is going to be be buying millions of pumps due to it's revolutionary design,it's technical and economic advantages....& in the process Torvec will revolutionize the the hydraulics in that field....
Well that was pretty much what we were told or led to believe..then like not another word is ever utter in writing or in print.like it never was put out there..although the website evaporates the historical trail of uhhmm, 'accomplishments'- I hope they can- going forward put out a strategy that an investor can follow ( given Non Disclosure challenges)by prodcut line and keep it updated as best they can..For instance what is the latest with the IVT and the Hodges Test in Nevada..?? They still in..next step...???
Website looks real good..
professional and informative- I would bet it will be updated consistently as PR firms get paid in some sense by getting "out the news...- working outlets...glad that there is still a China peice to the strategy. Certainly seems they are trying to to do "the right thing" to land an order....wait and see, watch with interest..
< Why would anyone with that much confidence care about a consultant fee? >
who knows maybe he has bills, likes making money, seeing it grow..the kook..
Paypal...huh..
Is there a store opening up to sell T-shirts or is that how I can can get my hands on an iso torque.? I hope it's not for Stock sales !!! Dread better give the credit cards to the wife again..!!!!
You know it's quiet
when we're checking racing chat forums for news on the state of
commercialization of the technology-not blaming you allnumbers, just an observation. The Gleasman family has lost a father and a son since the company's founding, but there still is a Father and a son on the clock..I wish them and all of us well..If nothing else Jim's passing is reminder that time waits for No one..we're all just passing through..

Perhaps it is not local
calling/service-?? or waiting on relatives?
one never knows on timing. Family is in mourning and
as is it should be family is the first word in family businesses
I echo the sentiment-
deepest sympathy to the Gleasman Family, as well the Torvec Team who worked so closely with him over the years.
As someone
emailed me privately after I admitted to my last purchase of
#5000 shares- not too long after the Watershed Non-announcement as I recall-......"May God have mercy on your investment" !!
Also like
that the contact person is @ Martino Flynn-
that we have a firm being paid to get developments out
and strategically thinking about how to maximize
"news" are also very good at web design and
digital advertising..let's see if that comes on line in the next week as indicated..maybe we are making some headway here..
Leitrim
Another one
added to the pile of called shots..
be original-put a timeframe to it..something
other than 'very soon'- we all know what that means
in TOVC-speak
hurry up and short
some more fadeaway..!!!
then please do it again..
we bumped .10 on your short..
