More need for Niobium in the approved Pipeline in Alberta, cant build it without NB, this is all I can post on a Thanks Giving LONG weekend LOL Looking forward to next week
Regulators approve TransCanada's 900,000 bpd oil sands pipeline
19 minutes ago by Thomson Reuters
By Nia Williams
CALGARY, Alberta, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Canadian regulators have approved TransCanada Corp's 900,000-barrel-per-day Grand Rapids pipeline to carry diluted bitumen from Fort MacKay in the oil sands of northern Alberta to the marketing and transportation hub of Edmonton, Alberta.
Following a public hearing in the summer, the Alberta Energy Regulator ruled the pipeline can go ahead subject to 26 conditions relating to routing and environmental monitoring.
As well as shipping crude to Edmonton, Grand Rapids will transport 330,000 bpd of diluent from the Edmonton area to the Fort MacKay terminal.
Oil sands producers must blend about 30 percent diluent into each barrel of crude, otherwise the oil sands bitumen is too viscous to flow through pipelines.
TransCanada is also the backer of the controversial Keystone XL pipeline. Bitterly opposed by environmentalists and many landowners along its route, the proposed pipeline would carry oil sands crude to U.S. Gulf Coast refiners. The project has waited six years for the Obama administration to issue a permit allowing construction to proceed.
Brion Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of PetroChina , will be the anchor shipper on the Grand Rapids pipeline with committed production from its Dover and MacKay projects expected to eventually reach 520,000 bpd.
TransCanada said it was confident the remaining capacity on Grand Rapids will be taken up by nearby oil sands projects that are in development or producing and do not have existing pipeline contracts.
There are 15 producers owning 22 oil sands projects within 50 kilometers of the pipeline.
"Grand Rapids is a long-term project and the pipeline is sized to efficiently accommodate growing oil sands production over the long term," a TransCanada spokesman said.
The project will consist of two 460-kilometer (288-mile) main lines, two 4-kilometer lateral pipelines, three pump stations and two tank terminals with approximately 1 million barrels of storage.
Construction is expected to start in the autumn of 2014 with the pipeline becoming operational in stages, with initial crude transported by mid-2016. The pipeline system should be completed in 2017. (Editing by Peter Galloway)

Comparing NIOCORP recent resultson reserves & Grades to CBMM the King of NB.
we have had hundreds of meters over 1%, and 2%, some at 3% and a little at 4%
here is CBMM's grades::
Niobium Resources
As of December 2012, mineral reserves in the residual ore totaled nearly 808 million tonnes with an average of 2.3% Nb2O5.
Fresh rock mineral resources were estimated at approximately 1.8 billion tonnes with an average of 1.5% Nb2O5. Evidence collected from drill holes to a depth of 820 meters still intersect mineralized rock, indicating the likelihood that additional reserves probably extend even deeper.
Considering the current market, the mineral resources in Araxá measured in the residual ore and potentially existent in the fresh rock indicate that CBMM will be able to supply the world demand for niobium products for many decades to come.
So I think were looking pretty good. Lets hope for more grade results over 1% upon the final Phase 2 drilling results over the next 4 weeks or so
just a little reminder of the future uses and growth for niobium
Chinese Steelmakers Buy Into Brazil's CBMM
Sept. 2, 2011 4:39 p.m. ETRIO DE JANEIRO—A group of Chinese steelmakers together with China's CITIC bank have purchased 15% of Brazil's Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineracao, the world's biggest niobium producer, for $1.95 billion.
The Chinese consortium comprises Baosteel Group Corp., Shougang Corp., Anshan Iron & Steel Group Corp. and Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group Co., which currently buy niobium from CBMM, the Brazilian company said Friday. Niobium is used to strengthen steel for sale to the automotive, oil and gas pipeline and heavy-construction sectors.
China, whose steelmaking capacity has risen to over 700 million metric tons a year, is the world's biggest importer of niobium and is seeking to secure global supplies. "The [CBMM] investment is of great strategic value both for the five Chinese companies and for CBMM," the Brazilian company said.

Brazil holds the world's biggest known niobium reserves, according to national mining department DNPM, with CBMM playing a dominant role in the market. In 2010, CBMM had net sales of about 2.9 billion Brazilian reais ($1.76 billion) and profits of 1.1 billion reals.
"Global demand for niobium rose about 10% a year between 2002 and 2009 due to the growing need for specialty steels," CBMM said in the statement. "In future niobium demand should continue to grow faster than steel production because of greater use of niobium in steelmaking technologies."

LMAO funny
you may be right, nice to see the 530 Million sale forsure
Hey maybe IAM Gold will buy us and start all over again with a higher grade Niobium Mine LOL later
oh well, lets not complain about and lets get past Oct 15th PP and we should be seeing higher SP quickly IMHO
Im pretty sure its all trades, that why I look for large lots for maybe instituions, etc thats why it doesnt always tell a clear picture of who is buying all the time. just gives me a basic idea of any trends and the rest is logic and some gut feelings if you really know the stocks story.
Its alot of speculation for me, but I follow it because it gives me a template for certain consistances.
I just posted scotia cause why would a retail investor sell into the BID 500 size lots at a time? and pay commisions like crazy. The positive is I hope they are in the PP , that means we will acheive our 16.5 Million which we need, I dont mean to add any confusion to the board. I guess I just talk too much LOL
I am a long holder not a trader on NIOCORP. I dont see how people trade here, so many catalysts can move this stock in a day or 2. I figured load up and pray for a $3 to $4 buyout, which I beleive we shall see, CBMM would be wise to take us off the Niobium grins so they can control the future supply of NB, wouldt you if you were CBMM? seems logical and good business sense to me. Have a great weekend, I am in Niagara Falls all weekend.

Scotia is NOT selling into the BID which is good to see
Thats why I predict Scotia is part of the PP they have been a buyer for months and to sell 500 lots to keep the price down a little is no big deal for then. after next thursday, I dont think we will see many sellers, the Level 2 will look very good. Just the logic
of the situation. I could be dead wrong. well see.
Significantly less selling by scotia today though
Wow Over 1250 Meters at .70. over 600 Meters avg .96 grade from the 2 holes Nice Check out this Quote:
We are very pleased to continue to report these impressive niobium results from our drilling program at Elk Creek," said Mark Smith, CEO of Niocorp. "Our recently announced resource update, which only contained results from our phase 1 drilling operations, will be updated later this year to reflect Phase 1 and 2 results. When we combine results like we are reporting today together with the tremendous advancements we are seeing in our metallurgical program, we will continue to advance the technical knowledge of the Elk Creek niobium deposit, so it will be recognized as the truly world class asset we have always believed it to be

NioCorp Drilling Continues to Return High-Grade Niobium Assays6 minutes ago by Marketwire
NioCorp Developments Ltd. ("NioCorp" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: NB)(OTCQX: NIOBF)(FRANKFURT: BR3) is pleased to announce receipt of additional assays from the ongoing drilling and advancement operations at Elk Creek, Nebraska.
Drillholes NEC14-011 and NEC14-012, two of six drillholes comprising the Phase II drilling program at the project site, have been completed. These drillholes define a north-west to south-east drill section through defined resource, and the holes are oriented at right angles to the 5 holes drilled during the Phase I drilling program. The results are supporting niobium mineralization around the outer edges of the defined Resource and its continuation at depth.
The collected core samples have been systematically processed and shipped for certified analytical analysis at Actlabs in Ancaster, Ontario to support NioCorp's corporate objectives for the project.
Finalized analytical highlights for NEC14-011 and NEC14-012 appear below. Note that due to the angle of the drilling and other factors, these do not represent the true thickness of the Niobium Resource:
NEC14-011 Final Results
-- 678 m interval between 222 - 900 m (open at depth) at 0.71% Nb2O5
-- 108 m (356 - 464 m) at 0.85 % Nb2O5
-- 22 m (477 - 499 m) at 1.11 % Nb2O5
-- 54 m (579 - 633 m) at 0.95 % Nb2O5
-- 134 m (693 - 827 m) at 0.96 % Nb2O5
-- 16 m (884 - 900 m) at 0.63 % Nb2O5 (open)
NEC14-012 Final Results
-- 592 m interval between 251 - 843.23 m (open at depth) at 0.69% Nb2O5,
including
-- 84 m (251 - 335 m) at 1.00 % Nb2O5
-- 56 m (352 - 408 m) at 0.95 % Nb2O5
-- 46 m (414 - 460 m) at 1.15 % Nb2O5
-- 47 m (560 - 607 m) at 0.88 % Nb2O5
-- 26 m (644 - 670 m) at 1.05 % Nb2O5
-- 32 m (810 - 843 m) at 0.76 % Nb2O5 (open)
At the same time, the company is pleased to announce the completion of its first metallurgical drillhole and advancement of its second. A third large diameter core rig, operated by IDEA Drilling, was mobilized to site on September 18th to expedite the additional metallurgical drill program. The project continues to perform advanced hydrogeological and Geotechnical test work, collecting additional information from the metallurgical drillholes.
A specialized geotechnical Sigra IST In-Situ Stress test, was successfully performed by Agapito Associates, Inc. on drillhole NEC14-013.
"We are very pleased to continue to report these impressive niobium results from our drilling program at Elk Creek," said Mark Smith, CEO of Niocorp. "Our recently announced resource update, which only contained results from our phase 1 drilling operations, will be updated later this year to reflect Phase 1 and 2 results. When we combine results like we are reporting today together with the tremendous advancements we are seeing in our metallurgical program, we will continue to advance the technical knowledge of the Elk Creek niobium deposit, so it will be recognized as the truly world class asset we have always believed it to be."
Quality Control: Samples for NEC14-011 and NEC14-012 were continuously collected from the carbonatite's upper contact at the base of the overlying limestone to the end of the drillholes, 190 to 843 m and 222 to 900 m, respectively. Samples were submitted to Activation Laboratories Ltd. (ActLabs) of Ancaster, Ontario. HQ diameter core was split into half-core samples and approximately 25% of the submitted core samples consist of quality control and quality assurance samples. Both NEC14-011 and NEC14-012 ended in carbonatite and remain open at depth.
Qualified Persons: Brad Ulry, B.Sc., P.Geo., Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd., a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, is responsible for the Elk Creek drilling operations and has read and approved the technical information contained in this news release.
About the Company: NioCorp are developing the only primary niobium deposit known to be under development in the U.S., and the highest grade undeveloped niobium deposit in North America, located near Elk Creek, Nebraska. The Company has filed an NI43-101 compliant resource report, available on SEDAR, and is in the process of filing an updated NI43-101 compliant resource estimate reporting an Indicated resource of 28.2 Million Tonnes grading 0.63% Nb2O5, containing 177 Million Kg's of Nb2O5, and an Inferred resource of 132.8 Million Tonnes grading 0.55% Nb2O5, containing 733.7 Million Kg's of Nb2O5, (at a 0.3% Nb2O5 cutoff grade). News Just out, now thats how you do a press release, glad I bought this week
Nice Job Ak74 that makes me feel alot better
See My Post #4489
I do not know, just doing my own DD and look at the trading patterns especially today, Scotia has been the seller of the 500 block of shares traded at the bid all day, IMO just kepping the price down to ensure their entrance at a lower price on the PP
Also pershing has been a constant buyer, I hope I see both on the PP just my opinions, I know nothing more than anyone else
IMO Scotia will be part of our PP will see if I'm right on Oct 15th
No it stopped just a seller LOL Hate sellers!
I was wrong it stopped only 3000 shares
CDN TSX has an auto seller of 500 Share lots every 30 seconds at the BID
Thats ridiculous, its not anywhere near 17 M to drill 3 holes LMAO
our phase 1 and 2 drilling currently being done, combined was only around just under 5 million
I totally agree chart patterns are out the window on this one, its all about pending news near term and medium term
