That's why Put/Call Ratio = 0.02 with unusual call volume?
U R right. Monday 4:00pm should be better for celebration.
Unusual Call Volume and Low Put/Call Ratio
4,044 calls and 70 puts, Call/Put Ratio = 0.02.
"Put/Call ratio statistics serve as a useful predictor of investment sentiment, indicating what experienced investors are doing in preparation for a move of an underlying stock."

Do you think Biotech Hedge Funds are covering their ARIA short positions?
It was said that Fidelity purchased the 16m shares after a downgrade, conspiracy theories or not.
What would you do if you wanted more cheap shares and you had the power to put a lid on the price?
At least 6 Fidelity mutual funds are holding ARIA stocks.
It seems that only Fidelity Value Fund sold ARIA in the 2nd quarter. It was unusual for the Value Fund to buy 0.7m shares of ARIA in the 1st quarter.
Fidelity Dividend Growth Fund still holds 1.7m+ shares of ARIA although ARIA does not have any dividend to pay.
A stock move is imminent
The following alerts were raised:
- Unusual Call Volume
- Low Put/Call Ratio

"We should have a winner here... Look forward to making BIG MONEY with ya! "
Yes, but the ARIA shorts won't like what you said.
When will the hedge funds cover their short positions?

I agree with you. But hedge fund managers will not agree with you until they cover their short position.
Now it is only the second half of 2010, and based upon Ariad's Quarterly Report,
"We believe that our cash and cash equivalents will be sufficient to fund our operations into the second half of 2011."

Please do not scare the Ariad shorts or the shorts in disguise.
If ARIA is up by $0.07 daily on average, what will the price be at the ASCO time a year later?
Fidelity is holding 15% of ARIA. Even FIDELITY VALUE FUND and FIDELITY DIVIDEND GROWTH FUND are also buying and holding this stock now:

Shorting ARIA can only hurt the weak hands. It will not hurt the company, it will not hurt the CEO, either.
Harvey purchased with $3.5 million of his money. He knows about Ariad mush more than the shorts in disguise on this IH board or the Yahoo! board.
The CEO did not sell a single share even when ARIA was $40+ in 2000. What is his target price?
The ARIA true believers will be the big winners when the CEO wins. Of course, the weak hands can choose to be scared by the shorts in disguise, and feed, with their money, the hedge funds as they have been doing for years. However, Ariad's sories will be totally diferent from this year on.
Scaring ARIA shorts is helping/saving them. Let them stay and short more.

Based on the data from SEC's website MFFAIS's report was:

Look at the URL above. The domain is

Is the information from SEC's website false/fake?
Was the gov website hacked?
Fidelity does report their holdings "Quarterly" although it does NOT "daily". (I missed the word "NOT" in my previous post.)
This the end of the 2nd Quarter.

This the end of the 2nd Quarter. You are right saying Fidelity does report "daily", but Fidelity does report their holdings "Quarterly".
The data is NOT over 90 days old. The filed date was 2010-06-29. The data reported the holdings, as of 2010-04-30, of some Fidelity funds. The Originator-Name of the web service SOAP (XML) message was

Fidelity continues to add to aria. True or False?
BioTechHedge said the information you are spreading was 100% false.
Hi joyakid. Actually, I copied the link from a post on the Yahoo! board.

On Path Toward a Revenue-Generating Biotechnology Company:
"These are all favorable developments as Ariad sets on the path toward becoming a revenue-generating biotechnology company. This is a small company with lots of promise."

You are right. Anyway, fidelity's purchase indicates that institutional investors are no longer reluctant to invest.
I would say that most potential institutional investors had over the years been reluctant to invest until last quarter when Fidelity invested 16m shares of ARIA.
Accurate observation and great comments, IIIVERSON.
