Yes it has been. I've maintained a long position since FDA approval because I saw exactly the use and benefit in their first drug to come to market. And apparently...so Eisai.
Nice 'lil $12/share target there. I can't complain.
New HOD here and very healthy price action today. Glad it isn't a big pop and drop. Nice and gradual.
Might just hit and pass the five dollar mark today. I feel bad for all of those that sold low as it surely did look like they wanted to bring this to the mid 3's at least.
Isn't it, though? It shows the power of Arena as a producer of new chemical entities, and not just another would-be or could-be big pharma in the making, as only a few make it that far going alone.
Amazing news...
I check it out from time to time. I know Johnsyn is pretty busy tying up loose ends.
What do you think about the GPSI XEROX connection lawdog dug up a few days ago? Very compelling...
It is.
Also, stay away from Yahoo MB. It will only serve to frustrate one more. With the doubling of the sales force, the very start of DTC, and the always known "gradual roll out" I really can't be too surprised that the sales are where they are. The best thing ARNA has going for it is their pipeline, future studies being covered by Eisai, and strong cash position. Everything else is just noise.
I'm betting on better sales going into next year. It is unfortunate that every time I think this has gone as low as it can, it only falls more. Probably best to just ignore this one until brighter days.
Me neither. To top it all off, we also have a major sell off in biotech and economic uncertainty due to the debt debate. It's a perfect storm for this to go lower still. I, too, won't sell here.
Same.
I think just about every possible disaster short of the remaining markets arna has applied to outright rejecting them AND having belviq removed from the market, has occurred. It is safe to say this will bottom soon or bounce on better future sales.
General Payment Systems Launches Check Processing and Cash Dispensation for Government Agencies
IRVINE, Calif., Sep 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE via COMTEX) -- General Payment Systems, Inc. (OTC:CPSZD) (the "Company") - a payment processing technology company that specializes in the $500 billion government payment space, is pleased to announce that the Company has now developed and is ready to deploy a software and hardware system upgrade that will for the first time allow for its government agency clients to automate the collection of payments by check and to dispense change on cash transactions through the kiosks on location. The new technology has been integrated with the services of a top five bank and provides the flexibility to work with all bank partners as required by our clients.
The platform has been in live beta for the past six weeks and is now proven and ready to be deployed at other facilities.
"This is a truly transformative system upgrade for General Payment Systems," stated Ronald Hodge, CEO, General Payment Systems, Inc. "Acceptance of checks will be a tremendous technology asset for our governmental partners as they increase ways in which they can accept fee generating payments."
"This upgrade is also a testament to our integration abilities and our ability to develop custom solutions to solve real problems for government entities," added Hodge. "We are establishing General Payment Systems as a diverse provider of efficiency and accountability. And it goes without saying that if a GPSI kiosk is handling these cash events, these agencies can now have their highly specialized staff focus on other more meaningful duties at the facility."

I hope that's the case. But I've never looked at this as much more than a gamble when I dipped in heavily at .0001(I reviewed the SEC filings prior to this). They have debt to Asher enterprises, and that is usually a number one red flag of desperation. It is what it is, but I'm not holding my breath!
Have a good one.
Yes, blowmyload, it certainly does seem good that this hasn't tanked below double zeroes....yet. Here's hoping I can dump this at less than a 90% loss in the coming days, weeks, months, years?
Right?
It just immediately "fluffs out" the intended intent to inform investors new and old, to actual legit news. Why not a 1 trillion dollar industry? In the future it will be, so why not say a projected 1 trillion dollar industry? I think this is why the days of telegraph were more serious times. You actually had to transmit stuff that mattered.
And I know this company has its strategies when it comes to PRs (sitting on them), but it just looks silly to talk about "recent media coverage" of their kiosk in the last PR and have said coverage dated four months ago. 500 billion dollar industry anyone?
Shares still not converted at good 'ol etrade. And I've never had post-split shares take longer than a trading week to covert there. Ever. FML
Someone is buying this POS. Maybe its a godsend my shares are still not converted after all. Would have liquidated at .003 and below.
Same. I brought it up in passing months ago and no one cared. Just the yelp reviews on his hotels alone are scary. Kind of just throw a new layer of paint on the walls and raise the prices kind of guy. Not exactly someone you'd want on your board of directors. Never skimp on quality or your competition will kill you. Bye bye, 3 million theoretical dollars.
Nope. Will he still keep his board seat? Read the reviews of Patel's previous and current hotels. He's not even good at what he does for a living. Oh well.
Have a good one, MG. That belviq advertisement in Oprah's magazine looks great going into next week. Good things coming.
I love how the tide of opinion changes so strongly and so quick. It was nothing but I told you so from the people saying this was overvalued and a flop. Just like how it was "15-20 a share with approval!" "DEA schedules us, we go to 20 bucks!". etc etc, you get the drift. Stock investing is an emotional journey for most, but this one has taken the cake (and more).
ARNA has had more plot twists than a Quentin Tarantino movie.
Anyone else want to be cynical with me and say that this probably would have tanked if the script numbers were good today? LOL
And another small victory....the bid and ask have narrowed. AND the bid is two deep at .57 for now. slowly but surely.
Ladies and gents, we have volume!
You rock, buddy. Thanks for coming out of the dark with this one. You are truly an asset to this board...which is for the most part, the sole information source on this company. Good work.
Thanks for all the good information, MG. While it surely stinks to see this pull the longest controlled sinking I've ever seen, it looks like the bilge pumps (continued increasing insurance coverage, new markets, higher efficacy results being reported in the targeted market, and the start of DTC) are starting to get us upright again.
Tons of better plays out there, but it is definitely worth holding a long term core position here for the future.
Same. Except I have 12.1 million. Yeah, something isn't quite right here.
Nor do I, with etrade as well. Funny, had another stock reverse split and had everything finalized within five days time. Here we are twenty days later...and? You win some and you certainly do lose some.
Which is why I've just been lurking now. Everything talked to death. GLTU
Yup:
Some buys at the bid and one at the ASK today. Doesn't really mean much yet, but it surely is promising. I had another stock do an RS after diluting to the grave and as soon as it opened the next day it was trading tons of shares and...going right back down to sub penny. It is good to see this "sitting pretty" as it were.
Yes, yes they did. I really can't think of any reason as to why. Maybe someone looked up the stock that works in the prison industry after reading that "amazing article" they PR'd about today?
I second this. It is just annoying at this point. The situation has literally been talked to death. I will remove everything from here on out, and when I do this, the admins will take notice.
Someone annihilated the ASK at .0038
The question is: why?
Same.
Sweet! Still can't sell my shares and its on its way back to .0001!
Enjoy the ride!
